LisaRaye McCoy Misick stayed in the hospital Thursday, Aug. 14 afternoon after Wednesday night's physical quarrel with her husband, Turks and Caicos president Michael Misick.

The altercation followed allegations from LisaRaye that Rocsi from BET's 106 & Park had been having an affair with Misick and was staying at the mansion last weekend while LisaRaye was in New York.

“Rocsi had been walking around the Misick household in a bathrobe giving tours of the house while LisaRaye was in Atlanta for Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def weekend. Then yesterday [8/6/08] on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, gossip contributor Jawn Murray added more fuel to the fire claiming LisaRaye told him personally that Rocsi was having an ‘out in the open’ affair with her husband. “

As previously reported, Misick released a statement Tuesday proclaim his separation from the TV star. According to Caribbean Net News, LisaRaye returned to the island earlier this week to work out a divorce settlement. But sources told the news outlet that the developments had gone very badly from her standpoint. Misick ended up prohibiting his wife from the mansion and she was reportedly forced to stay at a local beach resort.

On that Wednesday night, LisaRaye disregarded the alleged ban and faced up to Misick at his mansion. The situation turned violent.

"He beat her bad," a source told EUR Thursday afternoon. "She came in the same day Rocsi went out, and he had already issued the statement that they were separated. Apparently she went over there and got into the fight. She's now in the hospital.

"The sub-story is that he has been under investigation because $57 million dollars is missing from our government. They froze all of his bank accounts. He's getting a separation because he can't afford to get a divorce, said the source."

Misick, according to our source, dispatched his fleet of bodyguards to stand around the edges of the hospital to stop reporters from interviewing LisaRaye about the incident.

CLASHING PRESS RELEASES

Although LisaRaye is reportedly hospitalized with injuries, which was said to include bite marks, Misick released a statement Thursday refuting that he assaulted his wife, and accused LisaRaye, her cousin and her rep of attacking him.

It read:

“Last night LisaRaye, her cousin Phillip Travis, and her publicist Lynn Jeter assaulted the guard at the Premier's home, proceeded to ransack the house, and then assaulted the Premier and his sister. As the result of her assault on them, both the Premier and his sister were taken to the hospital with injuries and later released. The Premier at no time had any physical contact with LisaRaye.

"It is public knowledge that the couple has been separated for months, and LisaRaye has no lawful right to be in the residence. Her conduct yesterday clearly contradicts her stated commitment to dissolve the marriage amicably.”

Several hours later, LisaRaye released the following statement:

“It is with great sadness that I have to announce that my husband and I have separated.

Last night, Wednesday August 13, 2008, an attempt was made by and on behalf of my husband to first prevent my entry into our home and then, later, to make me leave our home by force.

It was necessary for me to receive medical treatment for injuries suffered and in relation to those injuries I shall continue to assist the police force with its enquiries.

Whilst it is my sincere wish to avoid unnecessary conflict, I shall not be intimidated, nor shall those individuals whose job it is to protect and represent me.

I ask that my privacy be respected in these difficult times and I believe that the people of the TCI will understand and support my wish to receive the necessary independent representation from the legal counsel of my choosing. I hope that, in time, the TCI government will come to share that view.

Although I have always been a supportive wife even in light of the very serious allegations currently pending against the Premier, there are limits even for me.

I continue to have the utmost respect for the people of the TCI who have always shown me kindness and support. I vow to continue my work amongst the people of Turks and Caicos Islands.

Until recently I had hoped that I would be able to continue to assist my husband during what will undoubtedly be difficult times ahead for him. I do not wish to have to add to his difficulties.”

Local TCI news station WIV4 interviewed LisaRaye at the airport when she returned to the island earlier this week – before the fight.

"I was just as shocked about hearing about it as anyone and everyone else, but just as any wife's position would be in such an allegation as this, it has to put a damper on the marriage," she told the WIV4 reporter.

"With all that's happening with Michael – the rape and the corruption allegations, and his ill behavior, even this weekend for our recent music festival – I think he's just spiraling out of control. I will just continue to be uplifting, and I will pray for him."

Quite a few of my other posts had comments from people who are Turks and Caicos Islanders or were at the music festival in question. I really want to hear from them. As a US citizen, most of us can only comment on how horrible the it is from the relationship aspect, but it must be different when it's the person who represents your nation's politics.

Page six claimed that LisaRaye and her Premier hubby were planning to reconcile, but looks likes Mr. Misick had a little too much fun playing the field for that. He's planning to divorce her.

Then they pointed out how all of the hosts on BET were multiracial or Puerto Rican (Rocsi). So BET themselves wrote SOHH back and dispelled the rumors, here is the response:

Vanessa Hudgens is being sued for $5 million.  She is being sued by a music producer that she had signed an agreement with when she was underage.  The High School Musical star and her father, Greg, filed a suit to break the agreement.  Johnny Vieira is now claiming that they are failing to live up to the settlement of that case and the Greg defamed his character by calling him a "predator."

Nikki Blonsky's dad has been released from a Turks and Cacois jail.  A police officer on the island told Entertainment Tonight that Carl Blonsky was freed on $3000 bail and can leave the island but must return for his trial August 19.  If he fails to return the bail will be forfeited and a warrant issued for his arrest. He had initially been denied bail.

The paparazzi continue to follow Sienna Miller everywhere she goes.  Since being spotted topless with Balthazar Getty, the paps have hunted her and the Brothers & Sisters star. Today they descended on her at a gas station causing her to yell:  "Can you leave me alone, I'm trying to get gas and this is really harassment. Please leave me alone. I can't live like this, please give me a little bit of respect."  Rumors have been circulating that Miller is responsible for breaking Getty's marriage but her friends insist Getty and his wife were already separated.

Selena Gomez would not confirm the rumors she is dating Nick Jonas.  In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, she would only say: "Well, he's an amazing guy, Ryan. Anybody would be very lucky to be dating him."

Ian Ziering is not interested in joining the cast of the new 90210 series.  While he wishes them well, "It's not really where my career goals are focused right now," Ziering told People magaziine "I'm really looking down the line pretty far and this might be a step backwards."

So I hear that BET executives don't think Black women are "marketable" as hosts and won't be hiring Black women as hosts going forward.

Supposedly BET has hired Sharon Carpenter, who is half Indian and half White, to work with BET News.  Rocsi, who is Dominican, is doing 106 and Park (and building up a horrible repuation), and Julissa, who is Puerto Rican and was on BET occasionally, has moved over to MTV.  None of them are BLACK....you know, like us...regular African- American women. Sharon Carpenter has supposedly been talking about how BET doesn't want Black women as hosts anymore, which is why they were so pressed to get her.

What I know is that young Black girls need to see role models that look like them hosting those shows.  They are already seeing women that look like them pop their coochies in all the videos on BET...can we get them at least a decent host to identify with? 

For real, I still need FREE!  She was a very positive Black female role model and a fabulous host. If BET doesn't think Black women are marketable as hosts, it's very disappointing.  As difficult as it is for Black women to get on-air jobs, I wouldn't think that a seemingly Black network would not discriminate against us. Ol' Massah (Viacom) definitely has to be in on this one. [The Insider]

The Venice Film Festival opens August 27 should be chock full of celebrities including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Anne Hathaway  and Charlize Theron.

Nikki Blonsky's dad, Carl, was denied bail after being in jail since July 29.  He and Nikki were arrested following a fight with ex-America's Next Topmodel contestant Bianca Golden at the airport in Turks and Cacaos.  Apparently, the fight broke out over seats, Nikki was holding seats for her family and Golden wanted seats for her and her family. He will remain in custody until his trial which is set for August 19.

To continue the Turks and Cacaos spotlight, the rumors are flying that the island's premier, Michael Misick, who is married to actress LisaRaye McCoy-Misick, is having an affair with BET's vj, Rocsi. Turks and Caicos Islands: Turks and Caicos First Lady LisaRaye McCoy-Misick returned to the country on Monday, into the midst of a new marital controversy, this time involving her husband, Premier Michael Misick and entertainment personality BET VJ Rosci.

Information from the First Lady’s publicist stated that the Premier was spotted at the Turks and Caicos Music Festival with Rosci while his wife was in New York City (NYC). Unconfirmed reports say Rosci stayed at the Misick home and hosted guests as if she were the lady of the house.
