I'll be holding an Open House to preview the new catalog.  Come and join me for a make 'n take, place a minimum of $15 (excluding shipping & handling, and sales tax) order at the event and get the new 2008 Fall & Winter Idea Book & Catalog for FREE!  The Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog are just full of beautiful cards, scrapbook, and other papercraft project ideas; hence "The Idea Book."  You would pay something similar to buy any-idea book at any craft store.  As a Stampin' Up Demonstrator,  I'd be happy to show you how to make ideas show cased in our Idea Book.

It all started in May, when we started planning for a trip to Gujarat and Rajasthan in August 2008. After discussing with fellow photographers of Ahmedabad and few shutterbugs from Bangalore, we decided to explore only Rajasthan in a span of 11 full days (August 14th to August 24th, convincingly planned to combine the Independence day holidays).

Guess, it was 6th June, i got my flight tickets booked for both ways of journey (Rs.8900 per head for a return trip to Jaipur). Thanks to Spicejet and we even called them our Official carrier for the trip then. But, when, the news on fuel hike came in the mid of 2nd week, Spicejet happily canceled their flights and left us in trouble, without even informing us. I called them, when i find no flight in the list, they agreed to pay 100% money back.

We don't wanna cancel the trip, just becos, Spicejet canceled the flights, and this time, we got Jet lite and Indigo to help us out. Though this exercise of re booking the tickets cost me Rs.3000 extra per head, we went on and booked the tickets. Thanks to Arul for accepting this time too.. to go with a re booking and visit Rajasthan.

On June 24th, there was an another shock, when Jet lite canceled the flight and scheduled for different time, with a price hike of Rs.3000. I seriously don't know, what to call this now, my fate, my bad luck?

As a last try, I re booked ticket again with an Indigo flight, and advanced my trip by a week (This time, its 7th August to 17th August 2008). Thanks Arul, again, for the support this time too.

Now, with fingers crossed, I'm waiting for something good to happen. If at all, if our INDIGOites Cancel or Reschedule the flights or Increase the price further, I will be GAME for a TEN DAYS TRIP in KARNATAKA or TAMILNADU. And, will call all these Air Travel as HAIR Travel.

Hope you guys are not praying for a cancellation or a price hike. :) If you happen to be a victim, of any of this sort, please let me know. I need a company too.

Given the fact that today has been completely insane in SL after they opened the logins again, our fashion show has been postponed. We have rescheduled for next Friday at 6pm SLT. I hope you can make it then!!!

But, when you are me.... in New Jersey.... awake chatting with ur bud till late the night before... things are bound to get... well... ummm.... pretty fked up!

So, I woke up at 430AM alright AND got ready well in time... but decided to take a short walk to nearby cafe to have a snack and WALLAH!!!!! we got so fuckin delayed.... we reached the airport at 7:45AM. So what? Just in time! right?? yeah, they said I could check in, but they had stopped checking in the luggage... toh I was practically suggested to goto the city of angels, dressed like one... (with just once pyjama in my backpack!!!)

Many emotional requests later, the sweet and kind-hearted lady at the counter rescheduled my non-transferable, non-refundable, booked a month in advance (well... in other words, cheapest-available) ticket to the next flight (in the evening)! All this while, I stood there with a sad face, drenched in sweat waiting for the good/bad news.

As soon as I got the boarding pass for the next flight, we came out of the airport and breathed the cool air! What followed was a sequence of events beginning with us getting back to Ankit's house, leaving the luggage and going out to the city...

The first half of the day was spent in search of a second-hand mobile (just to make-do) and finally, I got hold of an okeish mobile for  60 bucks. After a quick bite at the Indian Street in Jersey, we rushed back to Ankit's house.

Cab took us to the EWR airport at around 4:30PM. I checked in and then spent 45 mins with Ankit doing chit-chat. I boarded the flight at 6:15PM and after a short announcement by the captain, a shaky-looking plane took me to the sky!

Next Stop: LA a.k.a. Los Angeles a.k.a. City of Angels a.k.a. My home for next 7 weeks!

Proyek bermasalah yang dimaksud disini adalah lebih difokuskan kepada proyek yang terlambat maupun biaya yang melebihi rencana. Kasus proyek bermasalah umumnya terjadi akibat:

1. Terdapat masalah teknis di proyek yang kurang/ tidak diperhitungkan sebelumnya ataupun salah dalam perhitungannya.     
2. Lemahnya kemampuan manajemen proyek.
3. Keterlambatan yang tidak terprediksi seperti delivery material.
4. Timbul masalah baru yang di luar kemampuan.
5. Terdapat masalah non-teknis seperti masalah sosial lingkungan.
6. Adanya kecurangan dalam pelaksanaannya.

Besarnya deviasi yang dianggap menjadi masalah pada saat proyek sedang berjalan adalah apabila:

1. Penyimpangan yang terjadi sudah mencapai 5 % untuk masalah biaya.
2. Penyimpangan yang terjadi sudah mencapai 5 % untuk masalah waktu.

b)      Langkah Penanggulangan. Untuk masalah keterlambatan waktu dalam pelaksanaan pekerjaan maka langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dapat berupa:

1. Melakukan perbaikan metode kerja.
2. Melakukan re-scheduling.
3. Mengganti /menambah sumberdaya yang diperlukan secara terencana.
4. Melakukan optimasi waktu yang tersisa ( teknik crushing ).
5. Permintaan perpanjangan waktu apabila alasannya logis.

Untuk biaya yang melebihi rencana semula, maka langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dapat berupa:

1. Melakukan penghematan terhadap sisa pekerjaan.
2. Memperbaiki metode kerja yang tidak efisien.
3. Memperkuat manajemen proyek.
4. Mencari peluang pekerjaan tambah yang logis.

Untuk itu Manajer Proyek bersama-sama dengan Project Control melakukan evaluasi dan menyusun langkah-langkah penyelesaiannya untuk selanjutnya  mengisikan langkah yang diambil tersebut kedalam Project control check sheet.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Executive Committee has decided to postpone the Picnic to be held on May 20^th, 2006. We will most likely be rescheduling this event for the 2nd Saturday in Aug and call it a "Back to School" picnic. We will let you know as soon as the arrangements are made.

Hope you all will understand the need for the moral strength and support a Tamil family requires at this moment of time.
