Jesse and I attended the grand opening party of a gallery/gift store in our neighborhood, thanks to Andy who hung out in our apartment while Charlie slept. However, Charlie was teething, so he soon woke up screaming. Andy kept his head and called us. Our night out turned into 45 minutes out. It was fun while it lasted.

Here are some pix Jesse took while we were getting ready.

This is a doodle that I started yesterday in church. Today I was exhausted, so adding to it was all I could muster. There are two separate song lyrics going on. One is quite obvious, the old hymn, Fairest Lord Jesus. It is such a flowing song, I was surprised at all the exclamation points in the text. The other song is Let Me Love You More by Misty Edwards from her Eternity album. I've come to the conclusion that art and words are deeply intertwined for me. I don't think I've made something yet that does not have words somewhere on the page.

I'm sure you are all wondering why I could be so tired as not be in creative mode. Well, my husband has been working the Garth Brooks concerts for the past week, and I have been staying up way too late wandering aimlessly around the house until he arrives home. Actually, I don't keep track of time well, so without him here to remind me that it is bedtime, I just forget to go to bed. Wednesday is his last night, so maybe by the end of the week, I'll be caught up on my sleep again.

Tonight, I am so tired, I am remembering it is bedtime. Sweet dreams, everyone.
