Just in case you missed it, here's the line from Tuesday's effort by Francisco Liriano. 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 10 K. That's nine straight wins for Liriano at Rochester and he's allowed a grand total of one run in his last five starts, covering 35 IP.

Yet I still read inane comments from guys who ought to know better, such as ESPN's Rick Sutcliffe, preaching patience and writing that the Twins just don't have a spot for Liriano right now. They don't have a spot for him? Really? The Twins just got swept by the Yankees, and gave up 25 runs in the three losses.

I'm really disappointed that guys with potential clout such as Sutcliffe are refusing to criticize the Twins for what is an obvious and blatant cost-cutting maneuver in keeping Liriano at AAA. They're either not doing their homework or simply don't know any better. Neither excuse is acceptable.

THE WASHINGTON NATIONALS HAVE NO CLUE

Congrats are in order for Nats GM Jim Bowden, who managed to make an already pathetic team even worse thanks to a silly trade with the Diamondbacks. The Nationals decided to ship reliever Jon Rauch off to Arizona for prospect Emilio Bonifacio. This deal makes no sense for Washington.

Rauch has turned himself into a very solid reliever who seems comfortable in any situation. He did a nice job setting up the last couple years for the Nationals and stepped right into the closer role earlier this season when Chad Cordero got hurt. Rauch is also a plus performer from a fiscal standpoint. He's under contract through next season, along with an option for 2010 at less than $2 million. In other words, a quality performer at a bargain price.

As for Bonifacio, he's gotten quite a bit of hype this year as a supposed top prospect. I'm not sure where this started, but I don't think he's anything close to what some people seem to think. Bonifacio has loads of speed, but he's not a great base stealer in terms of percentage. He has no power, and I'm not going to get excited over a .300 BA at Tucson, which is a hitter's heaven. He projects as a possible starter at 2B, although my guess is he'll have more of a career as a utility type player.

This is a really good deal for the Diamondbacks. They picked up a reliable bullpen arm in Rauch who should really help them in their quest for a division title. Rauch won't cost them anything of note in dollars, and they didn't have to overpay in terms of talent to get him. Hats off to 'Zona GM Josh Byrnes for getting this one done. As for the Nationals, it's just one more reason they're doomed to bottom feeder status not only now, but for the foreseeable future.

I'M AN IDIOT

In yesterday's column, I mentioned that I thought Cubs 2B Mike Fontenot was worth grabbing in deep fantasy leagues as he's been very hot lately and figured to be getting the starts against most righties. WRONG! I completely forgot about Alfonso Soriano coming back from his injury, which means Mark DeRosa moves back to his former role as the keystone regular. And that means Fontenot goes back to spending most of his time in the dugout.

RUMOR MILL

The trade deadline is now one week away, and while I believe we've seen the last of the blockbuster deals, there are going to be some small trades made by contenders looking to shore up potential problem areas, particularly where some depth may be needed.

As predicted here earlier, I still don't see the Red Sox trading for a bullpen arm. That belief got fortified considerably Wednesday when Justin Masterson was masterful in a perfect stint against the Mariners. But the Red Sox may very well be about to pull the trigger on a deal with the White Sox that would bring Juan Uribe to Beantown. The Pale Hose want to move Uribe to anyone willing to absorb his salary and won't ask for much in return. Boston needs a backup SS for Jed Lowrie with Julio Lugo sidelined and the team appearing to have pretty much lost faith in Alex Cora.

Speaking of the Mariners, they're reportedly very eager to get Adrian Beltre out of town. In terms of bang for the buck, Beltre has been a monster flop for the M's. In truth, Beltre is a good player. He's not a big BA guy, but he's got good power, ample speed and plays tight defense at the hot corner. But Beltre's incredible 2004 campaign stamped him as a superstar in the minds of the Mariners and they gave him a contract reserved for future Cooperstown residents and Beltre just isn't that level.

My thoughts are that Seattle will have to eat some of Beltre's contract if they're serious about dealing him. If they're willing to do that, he's a valuable trading chip that could bet the Mariners a desperately needed prospect or two. Beltre is a perfect fit for the Twins, and they've got the perfect prospect to deal the Mariners in exciting OF Ben Revere. And the Twins would probably bite if the Mariners are indeed willing to absorb some of the Beltre dollars. Another possibility could still be Milwaukee, as 3B has been a problem for the Brewers all season. But the recent surge of Bill Hall could be changing their mindset.

But the most interesting relocation for Beltre would be a return to the Dodgers. I haven't heard this one mentioned, but why not? Beltre loved playing at Dodgers Stadium, the team has the prospects to effect a trade and they could really use a guy like Beltre at 3B. No knock on the kids that have manned that spot throughout the season, but Beltre would be a huge upgrade. I really feel as though LA would win their division if they could this type of deal happen!

Time to weigh in on a couple more deals that have transpired over the last several days. I'll start with the Phillies-A's swap involving Joe Blanton and then move on to yesterday's trade between the Padres and Astros with Randy Wolf changing uniforms.

The Phillies lost out on the CC Sabathia rental sweepstakes. I guess they felt they had to do something, so they opted to give up way too much for Blanton, who's nothing more than a back of the rotation innings eater. Blanton was overhyped from the get go after being drafted in the first round of the 2002 draft. I've got plenty of respect for A's GM Billy Beane, but it's also a fact that too many baseball analysts fall all over themselves at every prospect Beane goes after.

Blanton has never been anything overwhelming at any level as a pro. Good enough, but hardly great. My first in person look at Blanton came when he threw at Cashman Field while a member of the A's Sacramento AAA affiliate, and he was then what he is now. Sturdy, gritty and smart enough to get by without anything in his arsenal that's dominating. That's been good enough for him to chisel out mostly average numbers in a great pitchers park in Oakland. I wouldn't say this bodes well for him throwing in that bandbox in Philly.

Had the Phillies parted with a cheap package including perhaps one decent prospect and a couple of organizational types, I might understand better what they're doing. Blanton is an upgrade at the back of the rotation from the eminently hittable Adam Eaton. But he's at best a #4 starter, and there's no way I part with the trio the Phils sent Oakland's way in this deal. 2B Adrian Cardenas and LHP Josh Outman are high-end prospects, and OF Matt Spencer remains intriguing, although his pro numbers to date aren't impressive.

Cardenas is a steal for the A's. He's making nice strides following a great high school career in Miami, and with Mark Ellis likely out of Oakland by next season, the keystone position should be in the hands of Cardenas by the 2010 season. He was the #2 rated prospect in the Philly organization prior to this season and he's performed nicely at High-A.

Outman began the season as the #4 Phillies prospect. The lefty did some good work at AA Reading, and has a good chance to get a big league look sometime in 2009. Outman projects as a #3 starter down the road.

As for Spencer, he's somewhat of a disappointment so far after being taken in the third round of the '07 draft. His stock has therefore dropped, but he's still an interesting player, as the power tool is there. If he can figure out the strike zone, Spencer could still have a bright future.

It's my opinion that the Phillies either panicked after losing out to the Brewers for Sabathia, or they're seeing something in Blanton that I'm not. Regardless, I think they gave up WAY too much and I love this deal for the A's.

Next up, a mostly nothing deal between the Padres and Astros. Randy Wolf can't get through a full season without either getting hurt or slamming into the proverbial wall at mid-season. Wolf is right in typical form this year. He started off pitching really well, but has come unhinged over the last several weeks. In his last seven starts, Wolf has a nasty 6.94 ERA and a close to disastrous 1.91 WHIP.

The 'Stros didn't give up much for Wolf. Chad Reineke is a fringe big league prospect who probably ends up as no more than a middle inning type who bounces between the bigs and the bushes. He's been stalled at AAA Round Rock with very ordinary numbers.

I'd give the Astros the edge in this deal as Wolf is at least a proven big leaguer who can be pretty effective in spurts. I doubt that will ever be said about Reineke.

Quick question. I'm not exactly bullish on anything the Astros have done since Ed Wade took over the puppet reigns as their GM. But can anyone explain to me just what the hell Kevin Towers is doing in San Diego? Seriously, every time this team makes any kind of move the first word that comes to my mind is "huh?"

FANTASY FODDER

If you play in a deep mixed league, the following players are worth grabbing right now if available. None of them are world beaters, all of them are useful.

Joel Hanrahan will probably get the first opportunity for the saves Jon Rauch will leave behind in Washington. Rauch was traded Wednesday, heading off to Arizona to fortify the Diamondbacks bullpen. I'll cover that trade tomorrow. Meanwhile, it looks like Hanrahan gets first dibs as closing for the Nats. He's the most prototypical closer on the staff, as he's got the power heater, and he's been pretty solid lately. Saul Rivera and Luis Ayala could be in the mix. But the fact Rivera pitched the eighth inning Wednesday at San Francisco with the Nats down multiple runs is an indicator he's staying in a setup role. As for Ayala, he's been pretty lousy and has yet to approach the level he displayed before his assorted injuries. So it looks like Hanrahan's job to lose.

Willie Harris is on a huge roll for the Nationals. He's 28/76 over the last month with five long balls and Harris has excellent speed. Add in the fact the Nats have a load of injuries and Harris has 2B/3B/OF eligibility and he's a must grab in any deep format. Ride him while he's hot.

Cubs 2B Mike Fontenot is now getting most of the starts vs. righties and is worth an end of the roster spot in deep leagues. Fontenot has shown surprising power and he's hit .353 over roughly the last month. Considering the general lack of depth at MI this year, he's a notable scrap heap possibility.

Catchers are always in demand, especially since even the best starters have to sit once or twice a week. That makes surging Mets C Ramon Castro worth monitoring. He's starting to get more playing time of late, and he's putting up some serious numbers when in the lineup. If you're stuck for production behind the dish, Castro could help alleviate the problem.

Finally, there's old pro Eddie Guardado, whose name keeps popping up in trade rumors. He's of little fantasy use as a lefty setup man pitching the eighth inning, but if ends up in St. Louis, he might also end up closing. The Redbirds are really hurting for a ninth inning guy right now, and Everyday Eddie could get a chance to close there if a deal gets made. Keep an eye out to see where he ends up.

Honestly, I am so tired about the lack of ideas in online promotions. Finally, I may highlight something original that made my day. Okay, it is not very original rather an original mashup of ideas already working on different fields. The communication platform is ... eerm ... sex, I would say. I'm sure though that the creative agency used something like summer adventures in their presentation to client. Hehh...

Now, here comes the critical part. The execution is very very poor. However there are music and video content on the website, the navigation, the web ergonomy, the structure, the design does not fit into the great conception. I mean, I know that Rauch does not have the possibility to spend Unilever's online budget, but still.

However, why I like this conception, I give them a suggestion for free how to save money: My video capture starts with the display campaign creative appearing on the entry page of Hungary's most popular social networking portal. A social networking portal always have database targeting possibilities.

Now this campaign's TA is rather boys than girls (I'm pretty sure most girls don't vote to see other girls naked by passion) so, why don't they target the appearance only for boys? The money they saved could go to the production.

Eine meiner Schwächen waren Zigarren schon immer. Und das Setting lud geradezu zum Rauchen einer solchen ein. Das will nicht heissen, dass ich ein grosser Kenner bin, ganz im Gegenteil. Ich mag einfach den Geschmack, den Rauch und die Ruhe, die mit einer Zigarre einhergehen. Früher mochte ich am liebsten Kubanische. Mit der Zeit haben die Zigarren des Monopolbetriebs Habanos für mich aber an Glanz verloren.  Zuviele haben nicht schön gezogen und mussten vorzeitig entsorgt werden. Gibt es entäuschenderes?

Aber zurück zur Zigarre von letztem Samstag: Der schöne, grosse Park mit hohen Bäumen und einem netten Outdoor-Loungebereich mit weissen Sofas schrie förmlich nach einer Zigarre. Nur hatte ich keine dabei, denn ich trage nie welche auf mir. Ich wurde richtig kribbelig. Wie kann man, hier und jetzt, keine Zigarre rauchen? Der Gedanke quälte mich.

Dann aber sah ich, wie die Bardame einen Humidor von unter der Bar hervorholte und ihn oben hinstellte. Was für ein Glücksfall!

Zur Auswahl standen einige kubanische, darunter Montecristo, und noch mehr domenikanische Zigarren. Ich entschied mich für eine santo domingische Griffin's. Format: Perfecto (der Name tönt schon so vollkommen, nicht wahr!).

Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Es war die richtige Entscheidung. Die frische Zigarre roch wunderbar nach feinstem Tabak. Das Format (vorne und hinten spitz) lag fantastisch in der Hand und liess sich ohne Mühe anzünden. Und das Teil zog.....ein Traum. Dazu gönnte ich mir einen schönen Whisky (ein Talsiker war's, wenn ich mich recht entsinne. Übrigens immer mit Eis bei mir.)

Meine Griffin's Perfecto bescherte mir 20 Minuten höchsten Rauchgenuss. Nach dem letzten Zug an meiner Zigarre war es dann schon bald Zeit aufzubrechen. Ein perfekter Samstag Abend ging zu Ende.

In Großbritannien stellen Wirte neuerdings Dosen mit Kippengeruch auf. Seit dem Rauchverbot riechen Kneipen nicht mehr wie Kneipen und die Gäste bleiben weg. (Focus) Das wird Schule machen. Demnächst im Handel: Textilspray "Pub Air". Damit riechen die Klamotten noch 24 Stunden nach Kneipe.

Was das miteinander zu tun hat? Möglicherweise gehört ein Rauchverbot in Gaststätten zu den Dingen, die sogar hart gesottene Demokraten an der Demokratie zweifeln lassen. Ein trauriges Thema. Deshalb zum Schluss noch ein Jokus von Jogi Löw: Er will heute abend

die spanischen Stiere ins Leere laufen lassen.

GOOD: Jason Bergmann. Where did this come from. All he's done since returning to the rotation is throw 14 innings of shout out ball against two of the better hitting teams in the National League. Totals: 14 IP, 0 runs, 8 hits, 5 walks, 14 Ks.

BAD: Jon Rauch. Charged with pitching the ninth and holding the Phils to a tie to give the home teama chance to win, Rauch came in and got smoked for three hits and a run--and it could have been more if not for a tremendous relay from Guzman and outstanding effort from Flores to block Dobbs off the plate and keep him from scoring.

UGLY: Down 1-0 with runners on first and third with two outs, and having just watched the previous two batters reach via walk--including several balls in the dirt--Felipe Lopez swung at a slider on the first pitched and rolled it over to second base. That's bad enough--TAKE A PITCH FELIPE!!! But as he jogged out of the box, Utley bobbled the slow bouncer. Had Lopez run hard from the start, it would have given Utley something to think about instead of calmly noticing that he had time, settle, and throw out the barely jogging Lopez. Bad baseball.

Im Gegenteil, heute mussten die Flughäfen und einige Straßen gesperrt werden, weil man kaum noch was sehen konnte. Bereits in den vergangenen Tagen sind auf den Straßen Richtung Norden mehrere Personen bei Mehrfach-Auffahrunfällen ums Leben gekommen, als sich Busse, Lastwagen und PKWs ineinandergeschoben haben.

Grund des Qualms sind über 60.000 Hektar brennende Weideflächen auf den Inseln im Delta des Paraná und Uruguay. Regelmäßig um diese Jahreszeit stecken einige Bauern hier ihre Weiden in Brand, um durch die Asche den Boden zu düngen. Im Frühjahr wächst dann das Gras um so besser. Das ist nicht mal illegal, sofern es angemeldet wird.

So schlimm wie dieses Jahr war es allerdings offenbar noch nie. Einerseits sind die brennenden Flächen erheblich größer als früher. Andererseits zieht der Qualm nicht ab. Eine Inversionswetterlage sorgt dafür, dass sich der ganze Rauch hier unten staut, statt durch den Wind wenigstens ein bißchen verteilt zu werden.

Das Ergebnis: Kratzen im Hals, brennende Augen, stinkende Klamotten. Wer den Selbstversuch starten möchte, zünde sich ein Lagerfeuer an, lege einen schön feuchten Scheit auf und setze sich genau in den Qualm. Wer länger als 1 Minute durchhält, ist fit für die gute Luft hier.

Richtig ärgerlich wird das Ganze, weil man nicht entkommen kann - der Gestank ist einfach überall. Die Häuser hier sind bei weitem nicht so gut abgedichtet wie in Deutschland, das heißt, selbst wenn man alle Türen und Fenster verrammelt - irgendwie dringt der beißende Geruch trotzdem ein. Tagsüber geht's hier im Süden von Buenos Aires einigermaßen, aber nachts ist es einfach unerträglich.

Nach gut einer Woche Debatte in den Medien und den schon erwähnten Unfällen, haben sich heute endlich die zuständigen Stellen sowohl der Provinzen wie der Bundesregierung dazu durchgerungen, sich mit dem Problem zu befassen. Der Regierung kommt das Thema nicht mal ungelegen, weil sich dadurch eine neue Gelegenheit bietet, auf die vaterlandslosen Gesellen einzudreschen, die hier die Ackerkrume bewirtschaften und keinerlei soziales Gewissen haben, wenn es um ihren Profit geht. Sagt die Regierung. Was die Vertreter der Landwirtschaft natürlich sofort als durchsichtiges politisches Manöver brandmarkten, das ihnen die Unterstützung durch die Bevölkerung beim Kampf gegen die Anhebung der Exportzölle entziehen solle. Schall und Rauch, wie üblich.

Gelöst haben sie natürlich nichts. Bislang brennen die rund 300 Feuer weiter und die Versuche der - hier ausschließlich freiwilligen - Feuerwehr mit ihren begrenzten Gerätschaften die Flammen zu löschen werden sich wohl noch eine Weile hinziehen.

Bis dahin: Kennt irgendjemand einen Regentanz?

Update 18.4.: Am bisher schlimmsten Tag macht meine neue Lieblingszeitung "Crítica de la Argentina" mit diesem hübschen Titelblatt auf:

Inzwischen gibt's auch Hinweise (gerüchtehalber), wem denn eigentlich die brennenden Felder gehören. Genannt werden u.a. der ehemalige Präsident der Zentralbank, Pedro Pou, der ehemalige Wirtschaftsminister der Menem-Regierung Roque Fernández und ein guter Freund des Ex-Präsidenten Eduardo Duhalde, der Unternehmer Américo Gualtieri. Alle mit guten Verbindungen zum Establishment also. Wenn das stimmt, wird sich an der Situation so bald nichts ändern.

Außerdem werden heute Stimmen lauter, die der Regierung Heuchelei vorwerfen. Seit Jahren brennen um diese Zeit die Felder in der Region. Nur hat der Wind den Qualm bislang nicht nach Buenos Aires getrieben, sondern in andere Richtungen. Der Aufschrei blieb entsprechend leise. Jetzt, wo ein Großraum mit mehr als 13 Millionen Einwohnern (und nicht zuletzt sie selbst) betroffen ist, spricht plötzlich auch die Präsidentin davon, dass dies ein unhaltbarer Zustand sei.

Ich habe sechzehn Jahre lang eine Packung pro Tag geraucht und am 03. August des letzten Jahres mit dem Rauchen aufgehört. Aber trotz allem, was man von Ex-Rauchern gehört hat, haben mich doch einige Sachen wirklich überrascht. Zum einen, was man plötzlich alles riecht, was man davor einfach wegen dem qualmbelegten Riechorgan nicht wahrgenommen hat. Aber auch die Erkenntnis, was man Nichtrauchern über die ganzen Jahre angetan hat. Wenn ich nur an die Klamotten denke, die man nach einem Kneipenbesuch ggf. am nächsten Tag noch mal angezogen hat, wo man heute angeekelt die Nase rümpft, weil sie einfach stinken. Oder den Mundgeruch nach einer Zigarette, bei dem ich heute, wenn ich ihn rieche, von der Person zurückweiche.

Selbst mein Argumentation aus meiner Raucherzeit, dass sich die Nichtraucher unter freiem Himmel nicht so anstellen sollen, da der Rauch ja sofort abzieht, kann ich nicht mehr aufrecht erhalten. Wenn Jemand raucht, dann rieche ich das je nach Wind mehrere Meter von der Person entfernt - und es stört. Auf dem Bahngleis, vor dem Eingang von Geschäften, auf dem Kirmesgelände, ... Ich möchte nicht verhehlen, dass einige Pfeifentabake und auch Zigarren zuweilen gut riechen können, aber ich bin trotzdem froh über das Rauchverbot in Kneipen. Das auch nicht nur, weil ich den Gestank einfach ekelhaft finde, sondern auch, weil ich am Morgen danach mit Bronchien- und damit Atemproblemen zu kämpfen habe. Man raucht passiv mit und es geht auf die Gesundheit - an dem Fakt lässt sich nicht rütteln.

Als Fazit kann ich nach der gestrigen Erfahrung mit den verrauchten Büchern nur feststellen, dass sich die Lebensqualität steigert, wenn man mit dem Rauchen aufhört. Wie stark kann man aber auch erst wirklich ermessen, wenn man einige Monate auf Zigaretten verzichetet.

Was sollte man über einen Zimmer- oder Wohnungsbrand wissen sollte!

• Rauch ist schwarz und man kann ihn Nachts nicht sehen. Selbst in gewohnter Umgebung kann man die Orientierung verlieren. Man gerät  in Panik.
• Nachts schläft auch der Geruchssin
• Die meisten Feuer beginnen mit einer Schwelphase. Der Rauch verteilt sich unbemerkt in der ganzen Wohnung. Das geruchlose Kohlenmonoxid  und -dioxid im Rauch wird dich einschläfern, bewegungsunfähig und schon nach drei Atemzügen bewusstlos machen. Bereits zehn Atemzüge sind tödlich.
• Die nachtlichen Brandopfer schlafen in den Tod.

Also zwischenzeitlich war nur extremer Qualm zu sehen. Aber jetzt schlagen die Flammen wieder hoch. Mindestens zwei Leiterwagen sind schwer beschäftigt.

Und dann seh ich die riesen Rauchwolke von rechts über die Häuser steigen. Irgendwo auf der Strecke von Westen muss auf den Schienen was passiert sein. Jedenfalls brennt es so heftig, dass man das Gelbe der Flammen sehen kann. Die Rauchwolken sind natürlich auch nicht von schlechten Eltern.

Und nun kommen im Minuten Takt Einsatzwagen die Straße hoch. Ich hoffe nur es ist nichts Schlimmes passiert.

Raucherjäger sind zu einer lückenlosen Fernsehüberwachung übergegangen und verfolgen jeden Raucher. Selbst Loki und Smoki wurden auf diese Weise auf frische Tat ertappt. Da es nach wie vor unmöglich erscheint, das Rauch durch Kabel oder kabellos in unsere Wohnzimmer (nein, ich lasse eher einen Raucher als ein Fernsehgerät in mein Schlafzimmer) übertragen wird, ist nicht schwer zu erraten, was manche Gesundheitsapostel wirklich wollen. Es geht ihnen nicht darum, vor mehr oder weniger schädlichem Rauch geschützt zu werden, sie wollen einfach nur Jagd auf Menschen machen. Einfach nur andere an den Pranger stellen. Wer ist als nächstes dran? Whiskytrinker? Biertrinker? LKW-Fahrer? Kontoüberzieher? Oder vielleicht die Ungesunde-Lebensmittel-Käufer? Rote, gelbe und grüne Punkte lassen grüssen.

Zurück zu den Rauchern. Es wird immer und überall herumgeplärrt, wie sehr die Raucher durch Krankheitskosten unser Gesundheitswesen (das uns übrigens alle mehr oder weniger krank macht) belasten. Es ist schon erstaunlich, wie sehr die Damen und Herren Gesundheitspolitiker ihr klägliches Versagen (Gesundheitsreform = ein Witz!) immer wieder anderen in die Schuhe schieben wollen. Als würde es in den Kassen der Krankenkassen anders aussehen, wenn niemand rauchen würde. Im Gegenteil! Die Welt berichtet vor ein paar Tagen über eine amerikanische Studie:

Gesunde, schlanke Menschen haben der Erhebung zufolge eine durchschnittliche Lebenserwartung von 84 Jahren. Raucher kommen auf rund 77 Jahre, Übergewichtige auf etwa 80 Jahre. Beide Gruppen neigten stärker zu Herzkrankheiten als die „gesunde" Vergleichsgruppe. Krebserkrankungen traten - abgesehen von Lungenkrebs - bei allen Dreien gleich häufig auf. Diabetes wurde am häufigsten bei den Übergewichtigen festgestellt, die „Gesunden" hatten die meisten Schlaganfälle. Letztendlich fielen für die gesunde, schlanke Gruppe Behandlungskosten von rund 417.000 Dollar (281.000 Euro) ab einem Alter von 20 Jahren an. Bei den Übergewichtigen wurde ein Betrag von 371.000 Dollar (250.000 Euro) ermittelt, bei Rauchern nur rund 326.000 Dollar (220.000 Euro).

Ein Gläschen Sekt beruhigt die Nerven. Es ist ein ganz normaler Freitagabend. Auf der Bautzner Straße zwischen Gemüse- und Kunstladen steigt eine Party im Club. Das Besondere hier ist, fast niemand weiß davon. Die Leute habe ich alle schon mal gesehen. Im Flo oder in Frank´s Bar, Cocktails trinkend.

Die gibt es hier nicht, oder nicht richtig. Es ist kein guter Wodka da, nur der für die Kopfschmerzen. So trinke ich Sekt, schlückchenweise, und lausche dem DJ, der fast perfekt die Platten auflegt und immer für einen überraschenden Mix gut ist.

Der Nebel hat sich verzogen. Die Schöne im roten Kleid auch, oder hat es mit dem Licht nur die Farbe gewechselt. Vielleicht habe ich auch nur geträumt. Etwas enttäuscht schleiche ich mich nach Hause.
