Part-time Senator and full-time Messiah Barack Obama doesn't like criticism, especially if it's remotely true or legit. Recall billionaire Harold Simmons who recently paid for an ad which (accurately) connected Senator Infanticide to 1960s terrorist Bill Ayers. Well, Obama doesn't really like the connection being made despite the fact that Ayers was instrumental in the launching of Obama's political career. When you can't get what you want by asking, try intimidation. First Amendment wha?

Obama general counsel Bob Bauer today sent a second, sharper letter to the Justice Department, directly attacking the Dallas billionaire funding a harsh attack ad, Harold Simmons.

"We reiterate our request that the Department of Justice fulfill its commitment to take prompt action to investigate and to prosecute the American issues Project, and we further request that the Department of Justice investigate and prosecute Howard (sic) Simmons for a knowing and willful violation of the individual aggregate contribution limits," he wrote.

Um, Counsel, his name is Harold, not Howard. If you're going to urinate on the First Amendment, atleast get the name of your victim correct.

He called the group's activities "patently illegal."

Bauer made the case that Simmons' group fulfilling its a real nonprofit charter because it hasn't spent any money on anything other than attacking Obama.

The American Issues Project released a statement responding to the letter.

"Having failed in its attempts to get our legal, factual and fully-supported ad off the air, Barack Obama's campaign now wants to put our donors in prison for exercising their right to free speech," said Ed Martin, the group's president. "These over-the-top bullying tactics are reminiscent of the kind of censorship one would see in a Stalinist dictatorship, with the only difference being that those guys generally had to wait until they were in power to throw people who disagreed with them into jail."

Ha, when you're The Messiah, there's no need to wait for power before you officially exercise it.

Speaking of shutting down, Stanley Kurtz, a Harvard-educated social anthropologist and a writer for the National Review, recently tried to get the University of Illinois at Chicago to release records pertaining to Obama and unrepentant terrorist/thug Bill Ayers. (Ayers is a professor at the U of I. He should be in prison for life with his terrorist/thug wife, but surveillance violations got them both of the hook. I guess America isn't so bad after all, eh, Bill?) Ayers and Obama worked on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC). National Review describes CAC as:

"a major education reform project, proposed by Ayers, which was underwritten by a $49.2 million grant from the Annenberg Foundation, complemented by another $100 million in private and public funding. The project ran for about five years, beginning in 1995."

The CAC records, said to comprise 70 linear feet of files, have long been maintained at the library of the UIC, the public university where Ayers teaches. This summer, Kurtz made an appointment to review them and, after being assured access, was blocked from seeing them by library administrators, who stammered about needing permission from the “donor” — whom they declined to identify. Kurtz energetically raised public awareness to the stonewalling, and the library finally relented this week.

UIC's release of the records did not sit well with Obama supporters.

The Messiah is not to be questioned, so Kurtz's audacity to dig deeper into Obama's past got him the the Stalinist treatment.

• An Evolutionist Colony in Antarctica could be a promising option. Of course inspections would be required to prevent too much progress. They might invent gunpowder.

• A colony on Mars would prevent gunpowder from harming anyone but their own kind, in the unlikely event they turned out to be intelligent enough to invent it.

All options should include 24-hour sound system playing Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and Sam Harris reading Darwin's Origin of Species, or the preservation of Favored Races by Means of Natural Selection. Of course some will consider this cruel & unusual, especially since they will undoubtedly have that treatment for eternity.

Man- if there are really freaks like this who are allowed to run loose and spew this crap, then maybe the human race really is screwed.

The Democratic National Convention (DNC), today, held its first "Interfaith Gathering", which turned out to be a very beautiful event.  I'll have to write more about this in depth at a later time, G'd willing.

However, with all of the dignity of the interfaith program, which had Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim participants, three men at different poritions within the beginning of the interfaith program interrupted by yelling that Sen. Obama is a "murderer of babies" and a "child killer."

Ironically or maybe not so, these radicals screamed in between The Spiritual Project choir singing Negro Spirituals about having faith in G'd and being freed from the burdens of oppressors.

I've always wondered how anti-abortion radicals can be so concerned about a morsel of congealed blood that has yet to form into a fetus, yet show no concern over the humans that are starving in the inner cities and rural areas or people who are dying of malaria because of lack of access to drugs.  I guess "those people deserve it."  Or "if they just worked harder and stopped being lazy, they wouldn't be hungry."

Thank G'd there is a lot of armed security in Denver.  I suspect that these people and the pro-war protesters will be out in bigger numbers than they were today.

I'm gonna throw some stones again. And this time I'm throwing them at those wannabe radicals out there. These teenagers, who are so damned blue, so far, long gone, lost on the right side that they actually have to dress up as commies to be able to feel and behave as normal people. You can hear it when they speak, a phenomenon that we around these shores talk about as nasal speak (Usually as beloved as black speak). It seems as if these people are so lazy (and they probably are) to use their mouths properly, ultimately making their vowels as soft as wet wool, and pronounced somewhere between their nose and their hypotenuse. I was standing behind one of these individuals the other day, at a concert. It was a fucked up sight. The boy was dressed up in a red t-shirt, ofcourse, a red t-shirt is not too unusual and doesn't have to be anything other than a wee wardrobe malfunction. The black and white Palestine scarf, however, supplemented with the large button on which Marx, Lenin, and one last unknown, bearded character was printed, gave me the chidizzles. Now, I wouldn't have looked twice at a person walking around in said costume any other day, but the thing that dazzled me most was his eyeball-sized diamond earrings, his neatly styled and striped hair and his LaCoste leather shoes. Hot damn, I thought, this boy's gotta be filthy rich. Of course, in my confoundedness I didn't draw the conclusion that the real Richie Rich probably would have to be his father. His constant rambling on themes like revolution, the new, and from his POV, best Kaizer album, revolution, and revolution, and may I say, his info on the theme, on AKP (M-L) and his personal thoughts were strongly mistaken, misunderstood, and clearly only acquired for the day, but it all mismatched his very obvious general way of life.

What infuriates me in all this is the govt gladly overspends in the good times and in the bad expects everyone else to swallow the bitter pill instead. A handful of economists and of course people who have worked out how these thieving cartels (govt’s) work. Apart from that, buggar all frankly.

Of course having been state educated the general populace these days can barely read and their only financial knowledge is limited to how big their overdraft is with the bank. In true govt fashion they blame global economics for the downturn. Indeed global, because all govts are at it, but they blame each other of course. Clever that.

Of course their pornographic waste is left for us the slaves to pick up, whilst they drive around in their chauffeured Jaguars and sip Chardonnay with heads of state pretending to be clever. Insisting that their non productive arses will indeed find answers some sunny day. Of course sunny days only arrive once the free market gets driven by some new productivity savings. I believe Windows 95 was the reason for the last economic recovery.

BEIJING - China's military has deployed tens of thousands of soldiers to safeguard the Olympics from possible terrorist attacks, a senior officer said Friday, saying the gravest danger came from Muslim radicals in western China.

However, underscoring China's sometimes contradictory approach to such problems, a Xinjiang vice governor speaking separately downplayed the danger, saying such groups were tiny in number and highly disorganized.

"So you can see that these terrorist groups are not that capable of instigating massive sabotage activities as some hostile forces hope to see," Kurexi Maihesuti told reporters.

China has laid on massive security for the games that kick off Aug. 8, as much to prevent protests by political or religious dissidents as to stop crime and terrorism. A 100,000-strong force of police and special forces are safeguarding venues.

Hundreds of thousands of Beijing residents have also been formed into voluntary security patrols.

In addition, a force of 34,000 soldiers has been positioned in Beijing and other cities such as Shanghai that are hosting Olympic events, Senior Col. Tian Yixiang, of the Olympics security command center, told reporters.

"To the Beijing Olympic Games, the biggest threat comes from the East Turkistan terrorist organization," Tian said, using an alternate name for Xinjiang used by radical anti-government groups.

A secondary threat came from Tibetan separatists who Beijing accuses of orchestrating a wave of violent protests in western China this spring, Tian said. "These forces are trying all means to sabotage the Beijing Olympic Games," Tian said.

Beijing claims to have foiled a series of plots by members of Xinjiang's main Uighur ethnic group that it says targeted the Olympics, detaining 82 alleged Islamic terrorists and separatists in a major crackdown.

Few details have been given and no evidence shown, although terror experts say insurgents based along the border with Afghanistan and Pakistan have a limited capability to launch such attacks.

Meanwhile, at the Olympic media center across town, Maihesuti, the Xinjiang governor, appeared to accuse journalists of exaggerating the terrorist threat to the games.

"These terrorist groups are not as capable as some media organizations have claimed or broadcast," Maihesuti said.

Many of those labeled terrorists were merely "lawless people," he said. Human rights groups have long accused Beijing of classifying many personal disputes or criminal acts as terrorism to justify harsh oppression.

Maihesuti said the government knew of only "around three to four" Xinjiang terrorist groups, and government successes against their plots show their lack of effectiveness.

New terrorist concerns were prompted last week by videotaped threats purporting to be from an Islamic militant group claiming responsibility for explosions in four western Chinese cities in recent months, including two bus bombings authorities say killed two.

One militant, identified by the Washington-based monitoring group IntelCenter as commander Seyfullah, warned athletes and spectators, "particularly the Muslims," to stay away from the Olympics.

"Our aim is to target the most critical points related to the Olympics. We will try to attack Chinese central cities severely using the tactics that have never been employed," he said.

Chinese police have played down the threat, saying the explosions in Chinese cities the group claims were not the work of terrorists.
