Paddington Basin is an area of London at Paddington named after the nearby canal basin.

The junction of the Regent's Canal and the Grand Junction Canal is close to this point but the basin itself is the terminus of the Paddington Arm of the Grand Junction Canal. It was opened in 1801. Paddington was chosen because of its position on the New Road which led to the east, providing for onward transport. In its heyday, the basin was a major trans-shipment facility, and a hive of activity.

A consortium in partnership with British Waterways began work in January 2000 by draining the basin.

The basin is now the centre of a major redevelopment and is surrounded by modern buildings.

I rode 31km today, and what a wonderful ride it was, well up until the last 1 km when I jumped off a curb and landed on a piece of glass and had to walk home in my riding shoes :(
I've basically stopped driving my truck now due to the price of gas, and started riding my bike to work every day
So far this week I've put on 91km on the bike and saved myself boat loads of money that I would have spent on gas!
unfortunately I need a new bottom bracket, but hey, thats the price of admission right?

Ended up pulling out a pair of neutral density filters and filddling with them tonite, I like the effect it gave the setting sun, it really eliminated the brightness from the sun in the sky!

Out of inspiration, and trying to chase the cat down because she was all wound up and running all over the house, doing backflips and all sorts of other crazy stunts, she managed to lay down for a minute and I snapped a few, but nothing really great, so I set the camera on the ground and was thinking and just pushed the shutter button down and it focused and clicked, and voila
something way better than what I could have thought up tonite :P
