Going into the design aspect, the tagline given was, "Feel the rush, listen to ria 89.7fm". So given the targeted audience and the tagline, I went for something energetic, something crowded, something... rush.

The 1st version is the poster/magazine advertisement, and the 2nd is a wallpaper I edited from the original painting.

Cool... vehicle? Recycling bin? Oh WAIT he needs help!

Well, I didn't watch transformers but from what I heard, this is probably some form of Transformers cosplay. Though I always find this sort of thing hilarious. The first thing which comes to my mind when I see cardboard costumes is dustbin or recycling bin. Must be something wrong with my conception. Oh and by the way, if it didn't seem like there is a person in that costume, there is.

I haven't played King of Fighters (KOF) for quite a while now but I am quite sure that girl is Kula. Anyway the indoor lighting sucks, I found out that if I take pictures in natural light the quality would be quite good, though my picture might still not be very nice. I want her loli...pop.

Usually I do not know most of the people at Cosfest but out of courtesy, I just thought I should take as many pictures as possible. These people spent money and time and effort on their costumes, so no matter how crappy, how ugly, how mind-scarring it turns out to be, I feel that it would be nice to just snap off a picture and let them know their efforts have been appreciated. (Though I don't really like male cross-dressers)

At this point in time, I almost wanted to say "How about some fan-service?", you know, using the fan to fan the photographers or something. However, this sort of joke is sort of cold but the weather was warm and yeah... I wonder how many people would be wondering what am I saying but you really have to experience it. Saying some cold jokes on a hot sunny day... I really wished that it would have drizzled. T_T

If I ever cosplay, I would probably keep as much as my costume off the grass as possible. I like cleanliness and my things tidy, though it does not seem true if you take a look at my room's current state. Ok trying to keep as little words as possible now.

The picture is as bad as can be. The Gurren Lagann bookmarks are not very clear but the characters are distinct enough. I care more about the Nanoha poster. Though I have not watched Nanoha yet, I bought the poster out of impulse, and the girl looks rather GAR. Hey wait a minute, wasn't she on my bookmark?

Me wants this programme. T_T

Anyway thats the end of this year's Cosfest. Next event should be the Natsu Matsuri (Summer Festival) I am really looking forward to it. This is all for now.

Die Fortsetzung von Baby Blood , nach der traumhaften Erfahrung wird Yanka wieder von Dämonen heimgesucht. Sie wurde Mutter, eine Ehefrau und Polizei Inspektor. In der Zwischenzeit sind einige Gangster in die Stadt gekommen und es wurde einige verunstaltete Körper gefunden. Gibt es eine Verbindung?

Erinnert an 'Das Omen' oder 'Der Exorzist'. Auf dem Poster erkennt man schon diesen leicht besessenen Blick.

Este foi o primeiro poster que fiz. Junto com um camarada nós rodamos 500 posters. O esquema é juntar-se com mais pessoas pra poder baratear o custo, porque pra tirar o fotolito e gravar a chapa que é o mais caro dá pra rachar em até umas 4 pessoas dependendo do tamanho do poster que quiser fazer. No formato conhecido nas gráficas por "meia-folha" dá pra fazer duas artes diferentes pelo menos, num formato de papel A3, então dá pra rachar com um camarada. Lembrando que depois que você tiver a chapa gravada, o custo das impressões ficam bem menores, na casa dos centavos cada poster, isso é claro, dependendo do tipo de papel que escolher.

Comecei a usar o Zumbi nos meus trampos justamente por acreditar que a arte fosse algo que nos libertasse mesmo, que nos mostrasse o mundo com outros olhos, que nos permitisse acreditar que realmente temos a capacidade de alterar nossas realidades, mas que para isso seria necessário uma luta árdua, correndo contra a maré mesmo.

I am still considering the possibility of doing a bit of hand colouring on the finalised prints, perhaps just a detail here (like on the last thumbnail) or there but at the moment, I'm leaning more toward pure black and white. Any comments on this are appreciated.

This is the poster I just finished for Feist's show at Starlight in Kansas City. Phew, this one took a little bit. Not only did I go through six different ideas before I decided what I wanted to do, but it's also a 3-color screen print edition of 170. They should be hanging up in shop windows all around KC for the next week or two.

Also, if I was any kind of professional I would put some sort of box around the picture so you could see the edges of the poster. This is Never Sleeping Design though, not Always Professional Design.
