Emimem's return to hip-hop is now official.

After months of rumors, the MC announced the title for his sixth album, "Relapse," last night (Oct. 15) during an on-air launch party for his book, "The Way I Am" via Orion Books. Eminem also introduced a new track, "I'm Having a Relapse."

"There's a lot of album titles floating around that are fake albums titles," Eminem told Shade 45hosts DJ Kayslay and Angela Yee on Sirius Satellite Radio.

While no release date has been confirmed, the set is rumored to hit shelves before year's end. During the Shade 45 broadcast, 50 Cent hinted that "Relapse" may even arrive before his own new album, "Before I Self Destruct," due Dec. 9.

Eminem's last release, 2005's "Curtain Call: The Hits," has sold 2.9 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. His last studio album was the previous year's "Encore," which has shifted 5.1 million.

Representatives for Interscope were unavailable at deadline.

The Liverpool Biennial is happening at the moment; it started on Saturday 20th September and finishes Sunday 30th November. There's loads of projects, many of which don't incorporate a 'live' presence; it's good to see work that you might not have considered or that's outside of your 'comfort zone', and it might encourage you to develop links with other students working in different subject areas.

Projects include a piece by Yoko Ono, influenced by her previous work as a member of Fluxus, a film by Jesper Just - an artist who makes films that have a beautiful aesthetic and that disrupt conventional narratives to present gender in alternative ways. A couple of other people to see are Annette Messager and David Blandy, who I've read about on the website and who I think might be good. Also, Richard Wilson's Turning the Place Over looks awesome! There's loads on! So, if people can make it at some point over the next few weeks, check out the website and find something that interests you - if you do go, let me know what you've seen, I'd like to know what you thought about it.

Spears' single is spurred by first-week download sales of 286,000, the biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital downloads in 2003, besting Mariah Carey's take for "Touch My Body" by just over 200 units.

In between her nearly 10-year gap between No. 1s, Spears has placed four other top 10s on the Hot 100, the last being "Gimme More," the first single from her last set, "Blackout." That song jumped 68-3 last October with first-week download sales of 179,000.

Coldplay and the Eagles earned four nominations each. Coldplay was nominated for artist of the year, favorite band, duo or group -- pop or rock music, favorite artist -- alternative rock music and favorite album -- pop or rock music for "Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends."

The Eagles scored nominations for: artist of the year, favorite band, duo or group -- pop or rock music, favorite artist -- adult contemporary music, and favorite album pop or rock music for "Long Road Out of Eden."

The other artists nominated for artist of the year are Lil Wayne, who was also nominated for favorite male artist -- rap/hip-hop music and favorite album rap/hip-hop music for "Tha Carter III"; and Chris Brown, who also received nominations for favorite male artist -- pop or rock music and favorite male artist -- soul/rhythm & blues music.

I'm not sure how  feel about this. Ringo is 68 now, and we're a long way from Beatlemania - or from Ringo's solo career. Sure, he does the All-Starr band thing, but that just a glorified "oldies" tour with Ringo and other aging Boomer rockers playing to adoring audiences who are there to remember when they were all young and not dependent on Viagra, Retin-A, or - Depends.

Ringo tells us in his video post that he has too much to do. Maybe that's so - though I can't imagine what a 68 year old millionaire rock star would have to do. I suppose he's acting roles, records...no... wait, no, he doesn't. Maybe he's become devoted to golf, like a lot of guys his age.

I think about his band mates - Paul, of course, still writes and records, although he's working now only for a core audience - not that money matters to him at this point. John and George are at the mercy of their wives - and doing very well.

How's Ringo doing financially? Just fine. And some of that time he's now freeing up by dropping fan mail is going to good causes.

And certainly some of the fan mail and autograph requests he's received have gone to dealers and opportunists - a burgeoning number of whom now populate E-Bay and other sites. And Ringo has said in an interview that he was dealing with a stalker.  One can't blame him for a strong reaction. After all, that %$#$@ Chapman was a stalker....

But I can't help feeling slighted somehow. And I'm guessing I'm not alone.
