Sto parlando di questo gioco:

Io ci gioco su PC, ma tanto non cambierebbe un cazzo. Scatta pure sulla Play3. AHAH che figata quelli che si sono comprati sto gioco di merda in bundle, magari con schermo FULL HD per poi vederselo scattare MUAHAHA. ok. Stop.

Non si possono perdere le partite così, CAZZO.

E' pieno di bug. A parte che scatta con una 8800GS 384mb, AMD 6000+ e 2gb di ram Corsair. Cioè non lo sò.

L'online è una merda. Sono obbligato a stoppare tutti i film porno che regolarmente scarico e nonostante questo L'ONLINE RIESCE COMUNQUE AD ANDARE UNA MERDA mostrandosi lento e scattoso. Una lag che arriva ai limiti della disperazione, giocatori che SCOMPAIONO, la palla che si teletrasporta !!!1!1

Non sò come, ma stasera dopo 3 finte con Ronaldinho, mi avvicino alla porta, carico il tiro, e mentre godo assoporando l'odore del totally pwnage che mi porterebbe in vantaggio al 90', la palla, si teletrasporta all'attaccante avversario (tra l'altro in fuorigioco) che tira da centro campo e....e....fa gol, prendendo per il culo il mio portiere che, con il cazzo in mano, guarda la porta imbetonito. Il tipo vince. Allora io INORRIDISCO, bestemmio e maledico quella nicchia di programmatori di merda che lavorano (si masturbano) alla Konami.

Finito ?

No. Tutto ciò è condito da falli inesistenti e un disequilibrio generale. Una volta, a PES 6, con l'Italia vincevo. Oggi non si può più. O giochi con il Barcellona-London FC-Man Red e poche altre, oppure perdi.

Quindi per vincere tocca usare sempre le solite squadre, Brasile compreso. Ah, per inciso, quel cadavere di Toni fa cagare pure su PES 2008.

In sintesi, un gran gioco di merda, basato sul culo più che sulla bravura. Lo sconsiglio ai nevrotici e ai preti, potrebbe causare l'avvenuta dell'Anticristo o, in generale, schizophrenia acuta.

Acum e aproximativ 4 dimineata, afara e racoare, in mine la fel. Mi-am dat seama dupa vreo 6 h de Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 ca sunt mandru si ca nu-mi place sa pierd. Mi-am mai dat seama ca maine voi pleca, si ca maine la ora asta va trebui sa le explic celor de la aeroport de ce am eu conserve in bagaj...

Revenind la ideea de mandrie, e una sa stii ca esti mandru si e alta sa realizezi asta, cand stii ca esti mandru parca ti-e k sa treci peste, dar cand realizezi...e de rau iti dai seama ca nu-ti place starea asta, deci pe cand vin din Anglia am 2 scopuri: sa nu mai fiu atat de mandru si sa joc mai bine.

Mda in 29 iune voi fi in Anglia, loc unde cand am inceput facultatea nici nu ma gandeam ca poate fi posibil. Daca as fi fost intrebat ce as face vara asta acum 1 an as fi spus: strand, cu iubita, fotbal, prieteni si poate ceva de lucru. Se pare ca de fapt e single, Anglia, blogging, ciuciu strand si restu mai vad pe parcurs.

My views on FIFA 08 and EURO 2008

My thoughts on FIFA so far.

I have played FIFA 08 and EURO 2008 for a month now, I am thoroughly enjoying the experience of FIFA for what has been an absence for 10 years.

I have been a PES fanboy for years, I absolutely loved PES as it simply was THE football game. I ate walked and talked Pro Evo and would scoff at people who said FIFA was better (FIFA was not very good in those days to be fair).

I expect a return to form for PES, in the 2009 version. After the disappointing 2008 version, Konami has a lot of ground to make up and get the series back to the pinnacle of football gaming that it once was.

I want the best football experience, as I am a football fan. I really do hope that come the new releases of FIFA and PES, we as football gamers have 2 great football titles. Football and gamers being the winners.

But I’m not going to miss out on what is the best football game available through a blind love of PES. That’s just plain daft. It’s a shame for PES but I believe FIFA now has the upper hand, here’s my thoughts on FIFA 08.

VISUALS
The HD graphics and visuals are stunning. The strips, stadiums (especially night games) and pitches all look great, I love the player animations especially the goal-keepers, I am also a fan of the cutscenes (although many don’t) I think it adds to the atmosphere of game. Which brings me onto the chanting of the crowds, I couldn’t believe it when the fans were singing Celtic songs I sing at games. I wish it was louder :lol: EURO 2008 takes the visuals and atmosphere up a notch from FIFA 08. I can’t wait to see FIFA 09.

GAMEPLAY
PASSING is a breeze, and it’s easy to shuffle the ball around the pitch with creativity. Being creative will lead to more golden opportunities, it really is a case of patience. Like real football, at times you have to check back and keep possession and await an opening. Spot on.

Using the L1 button is key in creating openings, this sends players on forward runs.

I am having mixed fortunes with the through pass, I am finding it really iffy in FIFA 08 compared to EURO 2008 where EA have got it spot on. A case of perseverance.

HEADING the ball in the midfield is great, but while in either penalty area, it becomes difficult to get into a position to either clear the ball or score from it.

SHOOTING, I have changed from assisted to semi. I have been using semi on EURO 2008 for a few days and I feel you have more control of the direction of shots. This may sound crazy but I have found using assisted actually makes it harder to score. Using semi auto shooting, it definitely has improved my scoring chances, especially on angles and long range efforts, where you can apply curl.

SET PIECES
CORNER KICKS, is it me? There’s no sense of perspective, and it’s tough to get the ball to do what you want it to. In real-life games, corner kicks are a significant threat, It’s not the same in game, it feels as if I am giving the ball away, instead of piling on the pressure.

FREE KICKS, I have recently become consistent in this area since I changed to Semi shooting. I have being using the finesse shot (holding R1) which puts more spin and accuracy into the shot. It feels so sweet pulling a goal off from a free kick.

PENALTIES, again I am a fan of them in FIFA. Again, I use the finesse shot and curl the ball into the net. I also like the chip shot down the middle (holding L1) it looks cool when pulled off.

DEFENDING
I like the defending, using a player’s momentum intelligently can make or break your efforts on defence. The way you defend really will alter your opponent’s shots. If you’re bumping shoulders or closing down opponents when he tries to score, the shot won’t have much accuracy. Spot on.

SLIDE TACKLING, took me a while to master but I have now got to grips with it. You have to do something pretty nasty to earn a yellow card and pretty much ruin a 1-on-1 with a tackle from behind to earn a red. That’s the way it should be, not like the card happy PES referees.

COMPUTER AI
The CPU AI addressed so they don’t bombard wings and score cheap goals. I have started to defend this well, getting them to cut inside, but this is where I am losing goals still. This is more evident in EURO 2008, when the CPU will score from cross balls most of the time.

The responsiveness of the players at times in FIFA 08, i.e. making a pass to your team mate only for him to stand still like a lemon until its too late. I know you have to move your player towards the ball, but sometimes they won’t move. Again this is improved in EURO 2008.

At times the CPU keeps possession and you can’t get near them, they dribble in circles and I can’t get the ball off them. Can I do this with my men? No way, José. Again, this is a major fault in EURO when playing a smaller side, teams like the Faroes will string 20-30 passes all over the pitch.

Make teams more realistic, all the teams feel very much like each other. I am finding in my Manager Mode that every team plays the same hence the same difficulty, make the good teams good and the bad teams bad.

My goal-keeper, the responsiveness when pressing triangle to bring him out off his line, at times it seems hey just stops and the striker has an easy finish.

IMPROVEMENTS TO MANAGER MODE
This is my favourite game mode, managing a club side. As much as I am liking it, I would like to see some improvements in 09.

Realistic transfers and fee's, i.e. i paid £2.5m for Gareth Bale when he is worth £10m, I also signed Bojan and Giovani both from Barcelona in my first season in MM, make it more realistic, you must build up your reputation first by winning trophies. It seems too easy to sign any player

Cup finals played at real cup final venues, for countries that don't have a cup final stadium licensed then at least play the final at a neutral stadium, not your home ground

The AI substitutions, every game I play in FIFA 08 and EURO 2008, the CPU makes substitutions on 89 minutes

Improved fatigue system, players cannot run around for 90 minutes when they start a match exhausted

Improved injury simulation, there should be more injuries, knocks that last a full match and for a number of days but the player can still play with the knock (although not at 100% attributes and increased risk of worsening the injury). Then of course we must get proper injuries, not the same old 7 day injuries, we should see muscle tears requiring weeks out, even broken legs requiring months out

Games played at night time, I have heard that night games were introduced in a patch. I haven’t played a night game yet and I have played a full season

Climate changes, I have heard this will be available in FIFA 09

Licensed GK kits for teams other than in the upper echelons, i.e. my keeper Artur Boruc wears a horrendous looking grey/blue number 

Introduce a TRAINING OPTION like PES

Ability to save replays, instead of having to upload onto EA Servers. This option works on PES, this should be a must, especially on next-GEN.

Other CLUBS to make offers for you to become their new manager. Instead of having to resign, and then you can take over at any club

This is just my thoughts on playing FIFA and EURO for the past month. I still can’t believe I am playing a FIFA title. As I said at the start I’m not going to miss out on what is the best football game available through a blind love of PES. It really is taking 90% of my gaming time, I am loving it.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PES 2008 ) te permite disfrutar del deporte rey como a ti más te guste. En esta última entrega de la aclamada saga Pro Evolution el productor Shingo Takatsuka nos brinda el mejor simulador de fútbol jamás visto.

Desde los pases medidos a las entradas duras, pasando por demostraciones de clase individual o defensas férreas, ningún otro juego plasma la esencia y el ambiente de la competición real como este.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, que en esta ocasión cambia la numeración a los años, como la mayoría de los juegos deportivos.

La versión de Winning Eleven 11 cuenta con un nuevo sistema de inteligencia artificial que se adapta en tiempo real a la situación del terreno de juego, llamado Teamvision. Este sistema hace que el equipo se adapte a la forma de jugar de cada uno, haciendo que el equipo rival aprenda cómo jugamos y pueda sorprendernos con jugadas de ataque y evitar caer dos veces en el mismo error defensivo.

Las animaciones de los jugadores dependerán de la personalidad de los mismos, de forma que si tenemos un jugador con muy mal carácter en nuestro equipo, éste le recriminará a sus compañeros que no le hayan pasado el balón o protéstará más al árbitro.
Se puede potenciar el “juego sucio” en defensa, con acciones como agarrar las camisetas de los delanteros rivales mientras se les está marcando.
Se podrá seleccionar qué jugadores van a rematar los saques de esquina.
Se podrá determinar cuántos y cuáles jugadores se colocarán en la barrera.
Se ha mejorado el modo entrenamiento y el trabajo que se realice en él, marcará el desarrollo de la temporada. Las mejoras de los jugadores vendrán de la mano de la práctica de este modo.

Dekazeta.net y su grupo de edicion les presentan el parche DKZEdit para el pro evolution soccer 2008 de PS2 que cambiará por completo el juego original hecho por konami.

La verdad el parche es muy completo, y lo mejor es que funciona de maravilla... es altamente recomendable.

A pesar de los inconvenientes que nos pone konami año tras año nos hemos dispuesto cambiarle la cara por completo a este juego con toda clase de modificaciones que harán que disfruteis al maximo del rey de los juegos de futbol hasta la fecha.

Instrucciones O.F:

Viene en un .rar con los siguientes formatos para insertarlos en vuestra memory card: .psu (ulaunchelf), .max (action replay), .xps (x-port), .cbs (codebreaker), .npo (el formato de sony para la memory card) y el bin-cue (para grabar un cd y pasar el OF a la memory card). NO HAY QUE METER TODOS. Hay que elegir una forma de pasarlo a la memory (la que mejor os venga) y pasar el OF a vuestra memory card.

Contenido O.F:

-Todo lo del OF beta, es decir, bundesliga al completo, etc...
-Todo lo que hizo robergeta, es decir, asignar caras, nombres en minúsculas, asignar botas, etc... Aunque los colores de las botas he dejado los que venían en el OF beta que me parecen más reales.
-Corregidos kits de ghana, ahora son del modo editar, aunque no están hechos aún, esperando kitlayers greedy.png
-Kits del américa para el editor interno (gracias al OF de los chicos de weméxico con toda la liga mexicana).
-Arreglo en los nombres de los jugadores en el kit del bayern munich, así como arreglo en el color del radar del boca juniors.
-Arreglo de los callnames en el juego (gracias bigboss y compulsion) greedy.png
-Stats vueltos a poner por defecto la mayoría de ellos, no he puesto todos, pero por ej. madrid arsenal y barça (menos bojan) los tienen como venían en el OF beta. El resto los he dejado como venían en el OF de robergeta.
-Corregidos algunos errores menores, como el nombre del emirates stadium, el de inzaghi, ronaldo al milán de nuevo (hasta que se vaya), banega al valencia, los jugadores de brasil clásica arreglados, etc... Creo que no he puesto a adriano en el sao paulo, pero lo hacéis vosotros y fuera

Como grabar el juego:

1. Al descomprimir los archivos que os descargeis obtendreis una imagen .iso, esa .iso teneis que volverlo a descomprimir debedido a un fallo mio al crearlo, para esto podeis usar el winrar (boton derecho del raton->abrir con->winrar), los archivos que obtendreis son los que se ven en las siguientes imagenes.
2. Grabar el juego con Nero Burning Room, seleccionar todos los archivos en el modo -->DVD --> UDF/ISO --> velocidad 2X

3. Por ultimo grabar el O.F en un CD y pasarlo a la memory car para que salgan reflejados todos los cambios.

My patience has finally broken with regards to Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2008, I have given the game plenty of my time and money since it's release. I have bought 3 versions of the game, for the PS3, PS2 and PSP.

The PS3 version of PES was the main reason in upgrading to the PS3, I am a PES fanatic (some people might call me a fan-boy) I am also a Play Station guy, having owned the PS1 and then PS2. The opportunity to play PES on next-GEN had me salivating at the mouth, the classic football series, the connoisseurs choice of football gaming and on the most powerful games console. Even though my other favourite series Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid were far, far away in the horizon. I decided to buy the console for next-GEN PES, for what I thought would be sexy soccer.

The version disappointingly is not worthy to the series, the game has many flaws, the speed of the game being the main one, the ease of going on 'wonder dribble's' with any player in the game and scoring a goal. This isn't PES, PES is/was the connoisseurs choice of football gaming, real football for real fans. The online play is a disgrace, with severe lag and the slowdown during matches and replays. The removal of many past features on the most powerful console is again disappointing. Underneath these flaws, there is still a decent core game-play, but is hampered by the flaws, I don't want cricket scores in games, I want to work hard for victories.

I switched to the PSP and PS2 versions after being told by disgruntled PES veterans, that the game plays in which I term 'Classic PES' and I have had months of enjoyment from it, but it was grating me that I bought a PS3 for next-GEN football.

I was reading on forums, notably PesFan that many PES veterans were switching to FIFA 08. These guys were raving about the game, and how much they were enjoying it. I hadn't played a FIFA title since 1998, it was always PES for me, would never in a million years entertain FIFA. When your hear PES fans saying how good it is, you have to wonder, should I try it?

I decided a month after the release of UEFA EURO 2008, which I was reading was an improvement on FIFA 08, that I decided to take the plunge. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it, in fact I was loving it. The visuals, commentary and how hard it was to score goals had me wanting more and more of it, this is from a PES fan-boy. From the most unlikely of sources I now had an excellent next-GEN football title/s. I went out and bought FIFA 08 as I prefer Club football, and FIFA has the equivalent of PES Master League in Manager Mode.

I absolutely loved PES as it simply was THE football game and would scoff at people who said FIFA was better (FIFA was hopeless in those days to be fair). But I'm not going to miss out on what is the best football game available through a blind love of PES. That's just plain silly.

I have now decided to concentrate the blog on my Manager Mode career in FIFA 08 until the release of PES 2009, which I believe will see a return to the roots of 'Classic PES' with all the other flaws ironed out. I am checking the excellent website of Winning Eleven Next-GEN Blog daily for upcoming news of PES 2009, if you haven't already checked the site, I recommend you do so, they produce an excellent weekly PES podcast and have inside knowledge with the games producers, Konami.

I hope you follow my Manager Mode career, I am still finding creating chances hard, it's a case of patience. The game has a steep learning curve, hopefully it will see me getting to grips with the game as my Manager Mode career progresses.

I took 6 days of my Master League adventures with Saint Etienne after a horrendous score-line against my beloved Celtic in the Quarter-Finals of the Division 1 Cup.

A case of spitting out my dummy? maybe, but it is a score-line which is becoming more frequent with the recent versions of Pro Evolution Soccer. I believe the series took a backwards step after Mr Seabass put the emphasis on attack after the last World Cup. PES has always been the conniseurs choice of football gaming, emphasis on real football for real fans. This is not the case with PES 2008, it has a crazy fast speed which is very unlike the Classic Pes of old.

I believe FIFA 08 to be a more accurate football title this year, the reverse in fortunes of both these titles in recent years in staggering (FIFA's case) and disappointing (PES's case) as I am first and foremost a PES fanatic (hence my domain title) I would probably be described as a PES fanbhoy on forums.

I recently gave EURO 2008 a try after glowing reviews from discontented PES players. I hadn't played a FIFA title since 1998. Probably through my fanboy attitude or ignorance towards FIFA titles of the past. I am having so much enjoyment from EURO 2008 and FIFA 08, which I bought a couple of weeks ago as ultimately I prefer club sides, especially CELTIC.

As disappointed I am with PES this year, I find myself going back to it. I am playing the PS2 version as it's core gameplay is more Classic PES. As much as FIFA looks and plays well, I still prefer the core gameplay of PES. If you could merge the 2 titles together you would have the COMPLETE football game.

Anyway, fast forward half a season. I won a Division 2 domestic double of league and cup last season. I was buoyant and played a marathon session of Master League which took me up to the Negotiation period in 2011.

I am in a healthy position in the league, I am sitting 2nd, 4 points behind Bayern Munich and Quarter Finals of the Division 1 Cup against my beloved hoops, Celtic.

The highlight in the league fixtures was beating Rangers 6-2, this a famous score-line Celtic fans know well, it was the same score-line in Martin O'Neills first old firm encounter. I totally destroyed them, and this was probably the first sign of frustration with the PS2 version.

The game that made me spit my dummy out as I said earlier was, the Quarter-Final of Division 1 Cup against Celtic. The 1st leg finished 3-3. The 2nd leg, oh my god, the game finished incredibly 6-4 to Celtic, 9-7 on aggregate.

I was gutted, not by getting beat. It was the way the COM decided that I was never going to win this game. I am trying to think the last time I lost six goals in a match, I don't think I ever have. The game itself turned into a free for all, with shots raining in from everywhere. Celtic went 2-0 up quickly, I was concicious of losing my away goal advantage. I tried to slow the game down, but the COM wouldn't let me, it was crazy. I have posted the stats, which show the amount of shots on goal, this is bizzare as I play 10 minute games. The shot's on average are half these totals, in every other match.

I was right cheesed off after this match, I can take a defeat, but on level terms. No matter what I tried it was never going to happen.

I decided after this match that I would concentrate all my efforts on learning the skills of FIFA, which has a steep learning curve for beginners, which I am since my 10 year absence from the series.

I mentioned earlier as much as I like FIFA, PES continually pulls me back to play another few games. I will continue with this Master League after my 6 day chilling out, and my objective is to again master the art of defending, which I have always managed to do in past versions. It is becoming harder in recent versions of PES due to the emphasis on attacking.

Now for the second half of the season, and grabbing that automatic European Cup spot or maybe even grab the title from Bayern Munich.

Going for a domestic double

I enter my final two fixtures of my Master League season attempting a Division 2 domestic double with Saint Etienne on top player setting, this is my fourth attempt at promotion to the top division. After narrowly losing out last season.

I held a 5 point lead at the top of the table with 3 league fixtures remaining. I blew that lead by losing and drawing, and now find myself tied at the top of the table with Sporting Lisbon and Helsingborg. Sporting are top on goal difference.

Sporting play Helsingborg in the final fixture of season, a draw in this fixture would see me crowned as champions as long as I WIN against my BOGEY team IFK Gothenburg. A draw would see me claim a promotion place.

I have never experienced a 3 way tie going into the final fixture on Master League before.

I headed into the Gothenburg fixture anxious to be honest, as they have always outplayed me in previous encounters. They ended my promotion prospects last season and knocked me out of the Division 2 Cup, two seasons running.

I opted for my First XI with one change, Andy COLE came in for BERG. As good a partnership Berg and BEN SAHAR are, I feel Andy COLE is more of a goal threat, he seems to score goals out of nothing very much like BEN SAHAR. I need to win this game, period.

I got off to the best possible start on 8 minutes, a goal from that man Andy COLE. A first time shot from the edge of the box, his shooting accuracy is deadly and consistent. I signed him at the same time as Henrik LARSSON, but his stats have left Henrik so far behind. The rest of the half was to put it bluntly a dull affair. 1-0 at half-time, half way their.

The second half seen me battered from pillar to post, somehow I don't know how but I managed to deny Gothenburg from scoring. Good goal-keeping and LUCK, for anyone who is looking for a keeper in Master League I reccommend HONG YON NAM, a ML youngster who has played every game since I signed him, an excellent keeper.

1-0 final score, I had to wait anxiously after the match highlights to see the result of the Sporting and Helsingborg match. This is what happenend.

I WAS CROWNED CHAMPIONS, happy and releived. I did it at the fourth time of asking. How do I feel? FANDABIDOZI.

I headed into the Cup Final with confidence restored, defeating Gothenburg got a monkey off my back. I made one change, Andy COLE was affected with fatigue, back came in BERG. He is a good player, came across him when I did an advanced search, I had never heard of him before, but he has been consistent.

The match to be honest was poor, the type of match I would switch off if it was on the tv. I don't know what has happened in my last 4 fixtures, I have not been firing on all cylinders.

I scored a goal in which is becoming a more and more regular occurence in this version, a goal from BERG on 45+ minutes. It was to be the deciding goal of the game, I won the match 1-0 and I have claimed a domestic double.

I don't believe it

"I don't believe it" is a classic quote from the classic British sitcom One Foot in the Grave, following the misfortunes of cantankerous old grouch Victor Meldrew played by the excellent Richard Wilson.

It has been said by close friends and family that's who I will be when I reach retirement age. I don't know about that.

This famous quote sums up my next 2 fixtures and what they have done to my title aspirations, I am trying to win the Division 2 Championship at the fourth time of asking.

I was in a commanding position, leading by 5 points with 3 matches remaining. My lead has now gone, and now after these 2 fixtures, I am now in a position where the league title is not in my hands any more. There are now 3 teams level at the top of the table on 27 points, Sporting, myself and Helsingborg. Sporting lead on goal difference. The final fixture sees Sporting play Helsingborg, if I win I am guaranteed promotion. Although, I do want to win the championship, but I will take promotion.

That is what I don't believe, this is the 2nd year running that I have faltered at the final hurdle. I know it's a computer game, that I am in control of the players, but I am asking are my players or even more worrying, am i a choker?

I wouldn't go as far as saying I am devastated, a little gutted, yes. Prior to these matches, I won 9 out of 10 games to put me in a commanding position.

I have a theory, or is it an excuse? I have been switching between the excellent EURO 2008 and FIFA 08 add in PES 2008 on the PS3, all 3 games with different game styles. It may have affected these results, I don't know. I have heard people mention scripting, what I do know is that I was shocked and decided my remaining 2 important fixtures I would play at a later date when the shock has wore off.

These are 2 mammoth games, I might not win the championship but the other promotion spot is still in my hands and I have the small matter of a Cup Final. Therefore, I decided now was not the time to play them, especially as my final league opponents are Gothenburg. People who read this blog will know that Gothenburg are a bogey team of mine, they have put me out of the cup twice and last season wrecked my promotion chances in the nd last game of season. Now is not the time to play this important match.

The 2 fixtures which could derail my championship hopes were AEK Athens, a match I played poor in, or the COM decided that I wasn't going to see much of the ball. AEK scored on the stroke of half time and that was to be the deciding goal of a dour affair. 1-0 defeat.

The 1st half against NAC Breda was another dour affair, 0-0 at half time. The 2nd half woke up and seen me fall behind twice on 73 & 83 minutes, I equalised twice on 79 & 85 minutes through shock goal scorer my RB HOFFMANN and BRADLEY. The match finished 2-2. A disappointing result, although to fall behind twice and get a draw, I would have been happy at any other stage of season, but I needed a victory after the defeat game in the last match.

I still have a chance of Championship glory, but as I said at the beginning of post, it is now out of my hands. I am relying on Sporting and Helsingborg to draw, and then I have to win my match against that BOGEY team. A Cup Final apperance also awaits, there is still everything to play for. I am going to give it my best shot.

On the road to glory?

I reached the mid-season negotiation period, in a position to gain promotion. I was 3rd in the table, 2 points from top placed Helsingborg. I blew my opportunity last season losing and drawing in the final 3 games of season, finishing 3rd.

I signed a Master League legend, 17 year old Scharwz in the negotiation period. He is a favourite amongst ML veterans.

This series of fixtures seen me playing 4 league fixtures and a Semi-Final. Two of these fixtures were top of the table clashes against Helsingborg and Sporting Lisbon. These would go a long way in deciding this seasons promotion places.

First up was a small matter of revenge against Olympiacos, who hammered me 4-0 in the opening fixture of the season . I wasn't going to allow this happen this time around or so I thought. I found myself 2-0 down after 12 minutes, what the? I was then (what seemed) allowed to have possession, thanks COM. I started to play my passing game, BEN SAHAR my ever improving striker blasted home from a BRADLEY pass, 2-1 at half-time.
I tinkered with my formation at half-time, I played with 2 DMF's and narrowed my wide men, I find this effective when COM sets out to keep ball. I never allowed them the same possession in 2nd half, and BRADLEY fired home a long ranger to make it 2-2 another BEN SAHAR strike and his effective strike partner BERG got the fourth which finished an excellent fight-back, 4-2 final score.

Since switching to the PS2 PES this is the best I have felt after a match, I think the penny has dropped in terms of getting to grips with the game play. I am defending better now, I find myself constantly holding the R2 whilst defending, jockeying attackers rather than diving in and I have finally got to grips with the shooting mechanics. I am more effective from all ranges, more accurate with a high percentage of shots on target.

I kicked on from this morale boosting victory, I defeated the 2 promotion rivals Helsingborg 2-0 with ease, passed them off the park, the midfield duo of CAMACHO and BRADLEY got the goals. I am now joint top of table with Helsingborg after this match.
I then followed that up by defeating Sporting Lisbon 3-1, with a delightful goal from CAMACHO the L1+square (chip shot) over the COM GK. A now typical BEN SAHAR strike and a BERG thunderbolt into the top corner, gave me a comprehensive 3-1 victory.
I defeated Willem II by the same score-line 2-0, with a brace from the improving regenerated Andrew COLE.

In-between these 4 league games was a two legged Semi-Final against Willem II. The 1st leg seen me overpowering the COM, sometimes I get games like this where I will not allow the COM anytime on ball, I have a midfield quartet who have pace and strength and I had press ball as a strategy button. It worked, I controlled the full game and that man BEN SAHAR scored another couple of goals and a fine Andy COLE finish gave me a comfortable 3-0 win. I won't be making the mistake I made after the QF 1st Leg lead of 4-0 against Sporting. No wholesale changes.

The 2nd leg seen seen 2 delightful chips from Andy COLE and Henrik LARSSON, identical to each other. I would say these are my favourite goals, as it takes perfect timing to pull off. I see it as a form of showboating, with my 1st leg lead, I probably tried these when any other time I would have settled for a normal shot. I was leading 5-0 in aggregate but as normal the COM got a goal back from a corner. The final score seen me win 2-1 and 5-1 on aggregate. The final here I come.

I am now gunning for a Division 2 domestic double, of league and cup. A fantastic run of 9 wins and a draw from my last 10 league fixtures, has seen me 5 points clear at the top of table with 3 fixtures remaining.

After narrowly missing out on promotion last season finishing 3rd, I am now in my 4th season 2010 in Division 2. I had high expectations for this season. I got off to another slow start. I won 1, drew 1 and lost heavily in my opening fixture 4-0.

I have got my season back on track as I headed towards the mid-season negotiation period. I extended my unbeaten run in these 4 league games. I won 3 and drew the other against that bogey team of mine Gothenburg.

I defeated WILLEM II 2-1, AEK ATHENS 2-0, NAC BREDA 2-0 and drew with GOTHENBURG 0-0.

Having taking time to readjust to PS2 version after months of playing the PS3 version, I have finally got used to the shooting, I was creating chances but was either skying them, wide of goal or tamely at keeper. The penny has finally dropped. I am having more success, which in effect is now winning me games, instead of draws or narrow defeats. No doubt the COM will even this out when it decides.

In between these fixtures I played SPORTING LISBON in the Cup. I reached the semi-final stage last season. I want to go one better this time around. The 1st leg was a special one, my biggest win on the PS2 version. I won 4-0, with 4 different goal scorers.

The 2nd leg should have been a formality, I made a complete team change, 11 changes to side. I brought in regenerated GK David JAMES for his 1st start, I was 3-0 down after 24 minutes. I was starting to panic, I don't know if it's a weakness I have but I always try to play my first choice XI, in the PS2 version the fatigue levels are not as severe as on PS3, my players can go 6 games without being rested. I made looking back too many wholesale changes, and with players that are nowhere near the development or standard as my first choice XI, it showed.

I may have to review my starting XI in future to get my squad up to a similar standard. Somehow, I managed to get in at half-time still 3-0 down, I substituted JAMES and brought in my number 1 HONG YON NAM who is an exceptional keeper, I also brought on BRADLEY and MATHIEU to bolster the centre of midfield. These decisons paid off, I got a goal back through Andy COLE. I lost the match 3-1, but went through 5-3 on aggregate. PHEW!!!!!

As the league table shows, I am sitting in a handy position at the midway mark. I had a chance last season for promotion, but blew it in the final 4 games. I don't want the same thing to happen this season.

The 2010 season started with a bang, one of the relegated sides Olympiacos came to town and literally went to town. This is not a slur in anyway towards PS2 PES as I like it, but the initial speed of match felt like the end credits on a Benny Hill show, where the people run as fast as lightining. This could be due to playing the excellent EURO 2008, with slower game play for the past week.

I struggled like never before for the first 30 minutes, I couldn't get into the match and couldn't keep hold of ball and Olympiacos totally destroyed me. They raced into a 3-0 half-time lead on 25 minutes, the writing was on the wall from the 2nd minute with LUA LUA chipping my keeper from outside the box, from there they went into a COM crazed mission of anihilating me. I managed to come into the game just before half-time but as the commentator said "they can this keeper safe hands, as he rarely makes a mistake after pulling off 2 one handed saves from BERG.
I seen more of the ball in the 2nd half, BEN SAHAR pulled a goal back. I was again thwarted by safe hands with another 2 great saves. I was pushing more men forward and was ultimately punished by the pace of Olympiacos and that man KONSTANTINOV grabbed his hat-trick and Olympiacos's fourth. A heavy 4-1 defeat in the opening fixture of the season.

I sense embarrasingly that I could still be playing 2nd Division Master League football when the next installment of PES 2009 arrives in October. I have mentioned before how the league seems to get stronger season by season with the relegated sides from Division 1. I have never struggled like this before.

Helsingborg up next and another frustrating match, they took an early lead from a corner. Is it me? but my players never seem to jump at corners, I lose too many goals from these positions. I equalised when GAMBINO sent over a delightful cross which BEN SAHAR finished like MARK HATELY used to do in his pomp, he attacked the ball with pace and the defender had no chance from a standing jump. 1-1 at half time, then again my defenders went AWOL through the middle, like the parting of the Red Sea. Again I found myself behind and chasing the game, which seems to be a familiar story in this ML career. After the disastrous opening fixture, I had to get something from this match, even this early in season. Up stepped the man BRADLEY who levelled with a typical blockbuster, his long range shooting is amazing. The match finished 2-2.

I really am up against it this early in campaign, 1 point from opening 2 fixtures. Up next is the best side I played last season Sporting Lisbon, they aren't getting any easier, and I have just looked at the calendar and they are also my opponents in the Cup. Great!!!!!

I started this match attacking and putting Sporting on the back-foot, a BRADLEY wonder strike from the edge of the box gave me the lead. This was followed by another BEN SAHAR header, he really is becoming a TOP player, a good partnership with BERG. On top and coasting to half-time, and then take that the COM says with a baseball bat across the kneecaps, from a commanding position I go in nervously at half-time winning 2-1. I grabbed a 3rd goal with great intertwining play between between BRADLEY and BEN SAHAR playing a neat 1-2 before BEN SAHAR bulleted the ball home. As the game was petering out, up steps a name and old friend from the past SHIMAZU who nets for Sporting to give me an anxious last 5 minutes, I held out and relieved at getting my first win of the campaign, 3-2 Final Score.

The win has brought me closer to the pack at the top of the table, 5th position 3 points from 1st placed Helsingborg.

I played 2 league fixtures before the semi-final 1st leg. I beat Willem II 2-1, I took a 2-0 lead through a BRADLEY shot and an ARI volley. A late goal from Willem gave me and edgy finish to the match when it should never have been.

The next match seen league leaders Heracles destroy me in the 1st half, they went in at half time 2-0 up and deservedly so, keeping possession and raining shots on my goal. The 2nd half I kept possession for long spells trying to create chances, forcing Heracles defenders out of position. I was worried about the counter attack so therefore I didn't go all out attack, stay patient and hopefully when the chances arose I could finish them off. CAMACHO got me back into the match when BERG closed down the defender, the ball went high in the sky, CAMACHO controlled ball with his head and smashed a bicycle kick home. Game on, shortly after TRAORE got me an equalising goal. Heracles had a chance in the dying minutes, 1 on 1 with my keeper but shot wide. 2-2 full time.

SEMI-FINAL 1st Leg opponents NAC Breda set off like a steam train, raced into a 2-0 lead before 20 minutes. I tried to kill the pace of the game when I got possession, the COM was turbocharged. I managed to get a goal through ARI on the stroke of half time, I have noticed in this version I am scoring goals late into injury time, going into the break only 1 behind I was content with. The COM just to put me back into place, punished my sloppyness at the start of the 2nd half, and rifled home their 3rd. Strangely, they went into defence mode which I noticed in the defence side bar. I took advantage and went all out attack, set to red. I fired shots from everywhere, but good saves, woodwork prevented me scoring until 90+ when ARI grabbed his 2nd of the match. NAC Breda won the match 3-2, but late goal gives me a hope in the 2nd leg.

My good run in the league continued after this next match, taking my unbeaten run to 8 games. I beat Helsingborg 2-0. Regenerated HENRIK LARSSON scored his 1st goal, with a nice long range effort which the keeper had no chance of getting. Another one of my younger players is really starting to shine DMF PRIETO scored the 2nd goal of match, his overall play is outstanding. Passing, closing down opponents, positional sense and long range shooting. He is competing with the PES legend MATHIEU for the DMF position, I have been playing him CMF, as it seems a waste sitting him on bench. I really do have a strong midfield with MATHIEU, BRADLEY, CAMACHO, PRIETO, GAMBINO and TRAORE. There is only 4 positions, I feel guilty leaving any of these players out.

I have moved into position for a final push on promotion. Four fixtures remaining, I have to play my rivals for promotion Rangers and Sporting Lisbon, must win games if I have any chance of grabbing that 2nd spot I so badly want. Heracles are 5 points ahead of 2nd place Rangers and 9 points ahead of myself.

EA's Euro 2008 and start of new season

I have assembled a squad I expect to challenge for promotion this season.

I was unbeaten the last 6 games of last season. Having finally adjusted to how to play PS2 version of PES after months of playing the PS3 version. The PS2 version is the definite version to play, it is at home on this console.

Which is disappointing when you see EA's Euro 2008, Konami have a lot of ground to make up in PES 2009, Euro 2008 is what PS3 PES 2008 should have been. In my opinion Euro 2008 is the best football game on any console at the moment. I believe EA will make FIFA 09 even better than Euro.

I have not played any FIFA since the days of ROAD TO THE WORLD CUP '98. Maybe it was my ignorance towards FIFA, that I have never tried the next GEN version until now. I bought a copy on Saturday after reading reviews on fan forums like PESfan and EA forum. PES has always been the connoisseurs choice of football gaming. EA has changed that with the excellent Euro 2008. I was surprised at the high standard of the game. It plays and feels like real football.

It took time to get to used to the game play and controls but I notice game by game I am getting better and more used to it.

If Euro 2008 is a taster of the forthcoming FIFA 2009, they are going to have one hell of a title on their hands. I only hope Konami can pull out all the stops and give us a title that is worthy to the PES series on next GEN consoles. They have a lot of work to do, to compete with the FIFA series.

I am a little gutted in saying that, as I have been a massive fan of the PES series since ISS. As a gamer I want to have the best foot-balling experience. For now EA holds the crown. Over to you Seabass and Konami.

Anyway I still get enjoyment from PS2 PES, I will play both titles as I have being doing since I bought Euro 2008. Seeing my ML youngsters improve game by game is satisfying. I have a young squad, I like seeing youth get a chance in real life. Although it takes a strong and confident manager to play kids, as there comes inconsistency from performances.

I went into the new season with confidence in my squad, the opening 2 fixtures seen me play some excellent football but my problem with finishing off the chances I am creating came back to haunt me. I lost the opening 2 matches narrowly, as I said I had most of the possession and more shots on goal, but as Andy Gray would say "it's only the stats in the left hand corner that count" the COM is doing what I am not is finishing their chances off.

Already early in the season, it is going to be a struggle for promotion. The league is also getting stronger with the relegated sides from Division 1. Sporting Lisbon have dropped down this season, and Rangers are still in the league who I struggle against. Add in my bogey team Gothenburg, who have knocked me out of the cup the past 2 seasons in the opening round. It is already shaping up to be an uphill struggle.

I got my season back on track in the next 2 games beating Helsingborg 2-0, and got a glimpse of the great MATHIEU PES powers, he hit a blockbuster from all of 40 yards, it flew like a rocket the keeper could only parry it and Andy COLE was onhand to tuck it in. The next match against Sporting Lisbon seen a midfield encounter that resembled a game of chess, with both teams cancelling each other out, in the end I was happy with a 0-0, both teams never looked like winning the match.

At this stage I am sitting 5th in the league, 5 points from promotion spots, which are being held by Heracles and Rangers. Next up is the dreaded cup, as I have never seen past the opening round in this ML career, one plus I am not drawn against my bogey team Gothenburg this season.

Pre season 2009

I Finished 5th in my 2nd season in the Master League career on the PS2 version of PES 2008. I am finding this version a whole lot tougher than the PS3 version, it is also a reminder of how PES should play, classic PES I like to call it.

I was pleasantly surprised to find my team popularity has jumped from E to C, I take it D does not exist. I am not complaining, I set a transfer rule, that I could not sign players who's rank or teams rank was higher than mine. Maybe with my improved ranking I can get a better quality of player.

I was losing patience in the ML default players, I placed a whole bunch of them on the transfer list and I freed Ceciu and Libermann. I received offers during the negotiation period for: Ettori; Macco; Ivarov; Baumann; Jaric and Gutierrez (who I wanted to keep) but 5972 points was too much to knock back.

When I set up the Master League, I opted for the Rest of Europe division. The English, Italians and Spanish leagues made up the 4 divisions. The PS2 version is an 8 team Division 2 and 16 team Division 1, unlike the PS3 Divisions of 20.

I was surprised to see West Ham were one of the 4 teams omitted, I gladly picked up Anton Ferdinand for a transfer fee, he is a ranked C player. Happy days. The other player I paid a transfer fee for was Mathieu. In real life Jeremy Mathieu (pictured) plays for Toulouse. I honestly don't know too much regarding the abilities of the real life Mathieu but he is a LEGEND in PES as many PES veterans will testify. Quality and experienced additions, who will help the ML kids.

I signed another 2 players from the Newcomers List I was looking for a left sided full back, Mathieu can play their but he is more effective in PES as a midfielder, I signed CB Sakho who can also play where I intend to play him full back. After selling the ageing Ivarov, I was looking for a back up keeper I signed the regenerated enigmatic goalkeeper David James, who is another star performer in PES.

I have built up a squad which I am extremely happy with. I have expectations of success this season, this will be my 3rd season in the Master League Division 2. It is taking longer to adjust to the PS2 version after months of playing PS3 version. This is real PES.

Having finished 7th season 1, 5th in my 2nd season, I want promotion this season. I really do feel I now have a squad, which can compete in both competitions this season. Here is my squad for season 2009.

The new Master League season is underway, I am playing as Saint Etienne in the PS2 version of PES 2008. I am playing on the Top Player difficulty with the ML default players (useless bunch of misfits). I am entering the 2nd season 2008 in my career, finishing 7th in my 1st season, 1 place from bottom.

The start to the season has been promising, I won my first 2 matches but lost narrowly the 3rd, disappointingly losing 2 goals in the last 5 minutes.

One of my pre-season signings has made an excellent start to the campaign, the Swedish striker Berg has scored in all 3 matches. I got him through an advanced search, I have never came across him before or heard/read people mentioning him before in ML dispatches. He had decent stats and is still relatively young at 22. Picture of his stats & opening 3 games.

The opening 2 fixtures were won narrowly 1-0, in the 1st match against Vitesse I scored late into injury time. Willem II were defeated next. In the 3rd match against NAC Breda I took an early lead through Berg, a replica of the goal he scored against Willem II, then on 86 minutes the COM levelled and went into overdrive, they won possession from kick-off and scored the winner from a long range effort.

I was a little disappointed, although it is still a decent start in only the 2nd season with the default players.

I will finish this post with reference to the shooting mode in the PS2 version, I am struggling to come to terms with it after playing the PS3 since October. I am firing shots all over the place, wide, over or tamely into the keeper. In most games, I will have more shots than the COM but the shots on target are embarasingly low. Hopefully it won't be long till I master the controls in this version. I fear it could cost me in future games, the amount of chances I am missing during matches.

Premessa: Non ho mai giocato a versioni precedenti pc, xbox o ps di Pes per cui la mia recensione è parziale.

Il gioco ha più modalità: Partita (esibizione), Campionato (italiano intero e altri non tutti completi - tipo la Premier League che non ha dato licenza totale), Champions Road (costruisci una squadra di perfetti sconosciuti e falla diventare fortissima), Coppa, Allenamento. Ci sono tutti i club italiani e le nazionali, più le squadre dei maggiori club.

L'aspetto grafico del gioco è notevole e anche per chi, come me, non ha mai digerito l'uso dei gamepad, l'avvento di un gioco pilotato dai due controlli della Wii (il nunchuk e il wiiremote) è semplicemente fantastico.
Il gioco ricalca quello delle altre piattaforme ma, per quanto riguarda il controllo è davvero innovativo!

Con la combinazione dei due "telecomandi" è praticamente immediato il controllo totale dei calciatori: dribbling, corse, tackles, cross, colpi di testa, pallonetti, corner, punizioni e rigori sono davvero semplici da eseguire e in più il controllo non è legato ad un solo calciatore per volta ma, utilizzando "il mirino" è possibile "muovere" in difesa o in attacco più giocatori creando schemi tipo triangoli, uno-due, passaggi a seguire e pressing.
Il divertimento è assicurato anche se, unica pecca, non si possono modificare le squadre aggiornando i calciatori...almeno per ora non ho trovato come!

Pre-Season 2008

Final half of the season flew by, due to the PS2 version only having an 8 team Division 2, the PS3 version had 20 teams which made it a long hard struggle with the default players.

I finished the 1st half of season, with 5 draws and 2 defeats. I brought in 5 new faces, 4 of these ML Youngsters who have better stats than the default players but will take a couple of seasons to become star performers.

I put Camacho and Bradley straight into my midfield, Stein kept his position as DMF. I changed back to my 4-3-3 preferred formation.

I had a mixed bag of results, I won 3, lost 3 and drew 1. I achieved my objective of not finishing last. I finished where I remained from week 1, 7th place, with the exception of 1 week where I jumped to the dizzy heights of 6th in a 8 team league!!!!

Gutierrez who was my star performer 1st half of season with 5 goals in 8 games, never scored another goal and was almost anyomous for the 2nd half of season. Strange, but I can't make head or tail of PES at times.

Playing PES 2008 on the PS3, I have noticed that the players fatigue levels are no where as severe on PS2. I had 7 players who played all 7 remaining matches, this just would not happen in PS3 version, play 1 game and out for 2, especially the younger players.

The 2nd negotiation period arrived, out with the old in with the new.

I went for CWP Schmidt who I was unsuccessful during the midseason negotiations. He wasn't going to knock me back this time, he never. I also signed SMF Traore from the Newcomers menu.

Now the search for a striker, I have noticed in the Newcomers Group, that there seems to be fewer players in the PS2 version. No one left of any real notice to ML veteran players. No players in the Non Affiliated as this is the end of the 1st season. Have to be the Others Group players who are not registered with clubs, whilst maintaining my transfer rules I can't sign players who's popularity is higher than mine, not many clubs or players at rank E.

I did an advanced search Age 17-22, Shot accuracy/power 75+, Header/Jump 75+, Special Ability in Scoring/1-1 Scoring/Shooting from distance. Two 21 year old players within my transfer rules came up a Brazilian CF Ari (2616 points and 327 salary) and Swedish CF Berg (2160 points and 270 salary). Got them.

I accepted offers for Dodo 1512 points, Fouque 937 points (want to develop Ettori same position 5yrs younger). Valeny 1563 points, Ordaz 1827 points, Burchet 1100 points and finally Giersen 897 points.

The generated cash from sales and the 2 players I bought, I paid the players salaries. I have 9565 points going into the new season, my player salaries for the season are 8200. A good financial base, hopefully a few wins will generate cash to spend in the next set of negotiations.

I have a squad of 22, is this enough? As I said before the fatigue levels are not as severe on PS2. Bring on the new season. Here is my Squad for season 2008.
