So Anda memilih partai mana?

Kalo anda sendiri, prediksinya seperti apa?

I am proud to know, like many of you, a man of great stature in the broadcast industry --GEORGE PUTNAM. There are many reasons to celebrate his life. He has what may be the longest continuous running broadcast tenure, OVER 70 years, NO ONE can match that, not even Paul Harvey.

George has been a Patriot since his beginning days and thru his career. Many may remember his famous sign off in Los Angeles during his halcyon days "Here's to a better, stronger America--and a cleaner Los Angeles, California". This was in the early 50s! George Putnam is one of those "one of a kind" people that will be difficult to replicate in our nations future.

… the never-was “falling out party” for Barack Obama and Jesse Jackson. Firstly,

... the never-was "falling out party" for Barack Obama and Jesse Jackson. Firstly, I have a very low opinion of Obama's politics to begin with. Why? Because nothing the man says about politics has any real substance... save for one point. It was a fateful Father's Day, and because Obama is a senator who is running for president, he made a speech in a Chicago area church for Father's Day. His "father's speech" was largely an encouragement for black parents to actually parent their kids. While it sounded nice and semi-tough (twas really nothing more than a kick in the pants for people who probably shouldn't have been parents anyway), it earned the ire of one very influential individual. THE Reverand Jesse Jackson.

Don't ask me why, but for some reason the incensced and easily offended untameable Reverand felt that Obama's comments were somehow "talking down to the Black community." Thus we proceed to step two in this lovely little debacle... The interview.

Some of you may already know what I am talking about, but quite a few may have missed it... what with the controversey being so short lived and all. Short version... Jesse Jackson has an interview on FoxNews with someone else (I think his lawyer) and Jackson, not knowing that his microphone was open, said to the person next to him "I want to cut his **** off... He's (Obama) talking down to Black people". Now... would someone tell me how in the world someone who figures himself a champion of civil rights issues gets away with saying something like that about the first of his race to have a serious shot at the presidency? Other issues... this guy is supposed to be a pastor?!?! There is no Christlike humility attached to Jackson's comments, there is no love to be found in that tasty bit of dialogue, and if Jackson truly feels that way he has become a symbol of the type of inner-city violence that he blames on the government. Maybe we should've elected him in '88 so he would go away... It would have made the Clinton years look like divine mercy, that's for sure.

Now, the supposed "conclusion" to this matter is that once it became public knowledge Jackson issued an apology that Obama accepted. However, I have a hard time believing that that is the end of it. Now we have all kinds of people asking questions like, "is that how he really feels?" "Was an apology enough?" "Is he going to lose voters over this?" You don't express a divide like that in your ethnic solidarity without there being some deep divisions amongst those who are not naive enough to believe that everything is back to normal. Unfortunately for Jackson, his "black folk do no wrong" attitude is going to bite his butt one of these days... you don't layeth the smackdown on somebody because they are saying that people need to be more responsible without getting sideways looks. I would think that, as a Pastor, Jackson would be pleased and proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Obama in telling people to live more righteously... but righteous living doesn't exactly fit the liberal ideaology. Exhibit (A): my tyrannical judges thread.

I’ve went to John Cornyn’s re-election website and noticed there is an excellent speech

I've went to John Cornyn's re-election website and noticed there is an excellent speech from his Republican Convention in Austin. It's a pretty good campaign speech. You can hear that great speech here.

Also he is asking his constituents their opinions on secret earmarks. I've accomplished the whole thing and it takes about a little over 5 minutes to complete. If your not sure what earmarks are, they are the biggest abuse of taxpayer money that exists in government today. Just click on my category titled "earmarks" to view my other posts about earmarks. In his survey, he asks if Berkley should get 2 million dollar earmark after they've attempted to throw the marines out of their city. I said no because these lefties need to learn their role and place in local politics. local level politicians cannot direct federal entities to leave their city. They've gone out of their way to irritate the marines by giving code stink a parking spot in front of the marine corps recruiter station and encouraging them to interfere with the marines.

You can take the survey here.

Senator Cornyn is very sincere when he says he wants to represent the people of Texas and has a past track record for doing what is good for both Texas and the United States of America. He also is very accessible. I've emailed him several times to discuss several issues with him. As a gracious public official, he always sends back an email talking about his views and thanks you for your views. He cares what Texans have to say about the issues.

BOSTON (NNS) — Sailors aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) volu

BOSTON (NNS) -- Sailors aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) volunteered to help veterans at the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans (NESHV) as part of a port visit July 3.

Bataan is in Boston, participating in the 27th annual Boston Harborfest 2008, a six-day long Fourth of July Festival showcasing the colonial and maritime heritage of the cradle of the American Revolution in the historic city of Boston.

NESHV is a nonprofit organization that extends a helping hand to homeless men and women veterans who have suffered from addiction, trauma, unemployment and severe or mental illness by providing them with the tools for independent living. Since 1990, volunteers have played a vital role assisting the NESHV in meeting the needs of more than 15,000 veterans the shelter has served throughout the years.

A total of 70 Sailors from Bataan were given the opportunity to contribute to the organization by helping make the building that houses more than 250 veterans per night clean and in ship-shape.

The Sailors used a pressure-washer provided by Bataan to remove built up grime that was on the front of the shelter. They also painted the inside of the building, in the common area where the residents eat.

"It was great being here, because instead of reading about history in textbooks, we were able to interact with veterans who could share their stories with us," said Hospital Corpsman Stacie Coursey was one of the Sailors who were able to do some painting inside of the shelter. "To me, that is priceless."

Bataan Sailors also served lunch to the residents.

"It felt good to help out [the veterans] because it makes me appreciate what our veterans did for our country," said Culinary Specialist 3rd class Jared Gil, who served ice cream to the veterans. "Without them, the military wouldn't be the way it is today."

Derek Elcock, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a resident at the shelter, enjoyed the time he shared with Bataan Sailors.

"The volunteer program was great for the morale of the residents and restores us with pride," said Elcock. "It reminds us that there are people that care."

The volunteer program was organized by Lt. Thomas Cook, Bataan's chaplain.

"We had such a great turn out for volunteers," said Cook. "There were so many people that showed up to volunteer that we had to start turning people away."

The recent death of North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms, has had a lot of people talking. Particularl

The recent death of North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms, has had a lot of people talking. Particularly conservative/Republican leaders about the man and his legacy.

President Bush Said:

Throughout his long public career, Senator Jesse Helms was a tireless advocate for the people of North Carolina, a stalwart defender of limited government and free enterprise, a fearless defender of a culture of life, and an unwavering champion of those struggling for liberty...Jesse Helms was a kind, decent, and humble man and a passionate defender of what he called "the Miracle of America." So it is fitting that this great patriot left us on the Fourth of July. SOURCE

Here's a Quote from Bob Dole:

He was a conservative icon,” Bob Dole, the former senator and Republican presidential candidate, said in an interview on CNN. “He was a good, decent human being.”
But Mr. Dole, known for his wry sense of humor, acknowledged that Mr. Helms was not universally admired on Capitol Hill. “If there was a liberal meeting going on and someone announced that Jesse Helms was coming, the place would have cleared out in 20 seconds,” he joked.
He added that although he disagreed with Mr. Helms on civil rights, he did not consider the senator to be a bigot. “Was Jesse Helms a racist? I never spotted that in him,” Mr. Dole said. “Jesse had black staff members. I could never quite figure it out." SOURCE

There's so much wrong with that last sentence I could hurl!

and How about this quote?

“America lost a great public servant and true patriot today,” White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said.

Even Beloved Evangelist Billy Graham sings his praises:

was a man of consistent conviction to conservative ideals,” with the “courage to faithfully serve God and country based on principle, not popularity or politics.”

One of the things that these people are missing is Helms' notoriously Anti-freedom, anti-Christ-like stance on Civil Rights, Gay rights, Martin Luther KIng or the over-all rights for people who weren't like him.

THE ROOT

We've all heard of the violent crime lord who gets gunned down, but at his funeral his mom, homeboys and baby mama praise him for being such a great guy. I once heard someone say that everyone is wonderful when once they die.

So here's the conversation starter, When people go home to glory (or burn in hell), why do we who are left tend to gloss over the "bad stuff"? Do we choose to "forget" that this person ws a liar, abuser, cheater, a bigot etc? When does paying your respects turn into outright lying?? Is it wrong to speak the "truth" about the dead?? What do you think of the politicians and religious leaders who are glossing over Helms' racially charged past???

What you hear sung at the ball game is not the entire verse! In fact it has been deliberately censored to not include the most important verses in the final stanza. Your government certainly doesn't want you to feel this way about our current illegal wars: "...conquer we must, when our cause it is just," otherwise they would feel more opposition to their policy. Our population has been taught that flag worshiping and singing along to Bruce Springsteen is the way to be patriotic. It is not. Learning about why we fight, what the flag used to stand for and fighting "all enemies foreign and domestic" is the proper duty of a patriot. Below is the full anthem:

Complete version of the Star Spangled Banner - notice the fourth verse in bold. Any thoughts on why this verse is not taught or sung?

O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bomb bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream,
‘Tis the star-spangled banner - O long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore,
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion
A home and a Country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash’d out their foul footstep’s pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave,
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand
Between their lov’d home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with vict’ry and peace may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto - “In God is our trust,”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

FOURTH OF JULY

This is the greatest secular holiday of our country, its observance being sanctioned by the laws of every State. The birthday of our liberty would be a hard one to fix, but by common consent the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is the one observed. The use of powder to celebrate the day is gradually going out on account of the large number of lives annually lost through accidents. It is known officially as Independence Day.

A STORY OF THE FLAG

By Victor Mapes
.

When the Fourth of July came, we had been abroad nearly two months, and during that time I think we had not seen a single American flag. On the morning of the Fourth, however, we walked out on the Paris boulevards, and a number of flags were hanging out from the different American shops, which are quite frequent there. They looked strange to us; and the idea occurred to Frank, for the first time, that the United States was one of a great many nations living next to one another in this world—that it was his own nation, a kind of big family he belonged to. The Fourth of July was a sort of big, family birthday, and the flags were out so as to tell the Frenchmen and everybody else not to forget the fact.

A feeling of this nature came over Frank that morning, and he called out, "There's another!" every time a new flag came in view. He stopped two or three times to count the number of them in sight, and showed in various ways that he, America, and the American flag had come to a new understanding with one another.

During the morning, Frank's cousin George, a boy two or three years older than Frank, who had been in Paris the preceding winter, came to our hotel; and, as I had some matters to attend to in the afternoon, they went off together to see sights and to have a good time.

When Frank returned about dinner-time, and came up to the room where I was writing letters, I noticed a small American-flag pin stuck in the lapel of his coat.

"George had two," he said in answer to my question; "and he gave me this one. He's been in Paris a year now, and he says we ought to wear them or maybe people won't know we're Americans. But say, Uncle Jack, where do you think I got that?" He opened a paper bundle he had under his arm and unrolled a weather-beaten American flag.

"Where?" asked I, naturally supposing it came from George's house.

"We took it off of Lafayette's tomb."

I opened my eyes in astonishment; while he went on:

"George says the American Consul, or the American Consul-General, or somebody, put it on the tomb last Fourth of July, for our government, because Lafayette, don't you know, helped us in the Revolution."
"They ought to put a new flag on every year, George says," explained Frank, seeing my amazement, "on Fourth of July morning. But the American Consul, or whoever he is that's here now, is a new man, George thinks; anyhow, he forgot to do it. So we bought a new flag and we did it.

"There were a lot of people at the tomb when we went there, and we guessed they were all waiting to see the new flag put on. We waited, too, but no soldiers or anybody came; and after a while the people all went away. Then George said:

"'Somebody ought to put on a new flag—let's do it!'

"We went to a store on the Boulevard, and for twenty francs bought a new flag just like this old one. George and I each paid half. There were two women and a little girl at the tomb when we got back, and we waited till they went away. Then we unrolled the new flag and took the old one off the tomb.
"We thought we ought to say something when we put the new flag on, but we didn't know what to say. George said they always made a regular speech thanking Lafayette for helping us in the Revolution, but we thought it didn't matter much. So we just took off our hats when we spread out the new flag on the grave, and then we rolled up the old flag and came away.

"We drew lots for it afterward, and I'm going to take it back home with me.
"Somebody ought to have done it, and as we were both American boys, it was all right, wasn't it?"

Right or wrong, the flag that travelers see on Lafayette's tomb this year, as a mark of the American nation's sentiment toward the great Frenchman, is the one put there by two small, self-appointed representatives. And the flag put there the year before, with fitting ceremony by the authorized official, Frank preserves carefully hung up on the wall of his little room in America.

The title I chose was to grab your attention. The issues brought forth on blogs are what is on pe

The title I chose was to grab your attention. The issues brought forth on blogs are what is on peoples hearts. What is on peoples hearts is important to them, as it should be. Blogs have given people a wonderful opportunity to express themselves. Keep on expressing yourself. It is your right as a citizen of our earth.

Let's go beyond the surface and examine the issues that will make a difference in eternity. John 15:5 Jesus said: I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (NIV) No matter what good we do, or how good we do it, if isn't done in Jesus's name it will not count for anything in eternity. Romans 3:10 There is no one righteous, not even one. (NIV) If you are not ignoring your conscience, the truth of the Word of God will hit your heart.

We think of our lives as being very important; but here is what God says in James 4:14 What is your life? you are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (NIV) John 17:3 Now this is eternal life, that they may know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ[Yeshua HaMashiach] whom you have sent. (NIV)
Our lives pass so quickly, do you want to make the most foolish gamble and put off thinking about eternity until it is too late?

We all know people who are liars, but who does the Bible say a liar is? 1John2:22
Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ [Mashiach]
Who is the only truth? we will find this answer in the following verse in the Bible.
John 14:6 Jesus said: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.

One day we will have to give an account for our lives. Hebrews 4:13-14 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (NIV)

So many do not understand the mercy and love the Father has for us. The fact that you are still breathing is a sign of his love for you. Your very breath is in His control. If He wasn't merciful and compassionate, you would have died long ago. 2nd Peter3:9
He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance[teshuvah] (NIV)

You may not understand God's ways, but that is why he is God, and you are not. Isaiah55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord[HASHEM]. His grace has appeared to you, but you just don't know it. Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say no to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ [Yeshua HaMashiach] who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. (NIV)

We are called to be worshippers of God, but most of us do not live our lives this way.
We focus our time and energy on things that do not please the Father. The Bible says in Romans 1:25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things , rather than the Creator---who is forever praised. Amen. (NIV)

We have a choice to receive Jesus [Yeshua] in his mercy now, or experience him in his wrath in the judgement to come. Revelation 6:15-17 Then the kings of the earth. the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?" (NIV) There will be no excuses in that day. Romans 1:18-20 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature---have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. (NIV)

The biggest x-ray machine for our heart is what comes out of our mouths. Matthew 15:18-19 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' For out of the heart comes evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man unclean. (NIV) Matthew 12:36 Jesus[Yeshua] said: But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned. (NIV)

If you know you are not right with God, confess your sins with Godly sorrow and ask Jesus [Yeshua] to come into your heart and fill you with His Holy Spirit. Attend a Church that believes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Get baptized. Read your Bible daily and follow the teachings of Jesus Walk in His Love to all you come in contact with.

                                           Shalom in Jesus [Yeshua]

Spc. Kisha Mackerney isn't being profiled today because of something she did on the battlefield. She's being profiled because her spirit and determination. In 2002, Makerney joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard out of a sense of patriotism, because, as she put it, "I love our country and our people." Between 2004 and 2005, she served in Iraq as a gunner and helped provide battalion security. She returned home in early 2005 and was in a terrible motorcycle accident on June 25, 2005. The front wheel of her brand new bike had blown out and sent her flying into a highway sign. She looked up at her now mangled bike and was angry. That's when she noticed that her left leg below the knee was missing. The first thing she thought of when she saw her leg was that her military career was over.

Makerney pulled herself out of the ditch that she had landed in and was able to flag down a passing motorist. She was taken a hospital in Hugo, Oklahoma before being flown to Dallas, Texas.

As soon as word spread about her accident, her fellow soldiers, her second family, rallied and rushed to her bedside. "Even before I was out of surgery they were waiting in the halls," she said.

Continue reading Spc. Kisha Makerney's story here. There are some despicable comments by a few readers on the story. Just ignore them.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
What divides the two into two- two parties- is death. One would strike at the Man when he was down and the other would fight more numbers than one. Many people claim loyalty and allegiance to many different things in the span of their life. Hopefully we as Americans are loyal to our country; its foundations and its future.

We have said the words:

I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands,
one Nation under God (justice), Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all. What do those words mean to
us as individuals of this great nation? What they mean to me is that there was a great separation
between us and the mother, who was England once. Our Fathers left the mother because she was being
unfaithful to the Father, and the Father already had a mother or one in mind. It should always, should
always be so.

When we pledge our allegiance to the flag of our country, we are bearing the weight from where we

The knees can only take so much. We owe a debt of faithfulness to our Fathers before us, and to our Fathers before us. By pledging to ourselves for the sake of our country and our families; to our Nation, allegiance under God; under faith in her and him, we are agreeing not to pledge allegiance to things of evil. Things of evil are always talked about but never agreed upon by us as a people of one position on evil. This is because our perception of evil is lacking and some of us are sick inside. It is probably more of a reality than most would recognize that we as a people do not know how to treat the wounded and the sick as well as we should. That two of us can do what I cannot do alone, and three of us will form a union among others. That I need you in my life as a justifying and guiding force, and that even though I have never met you, I honor you as my countrymen, and on that alone I pledge my sword.

Only to be corrected by an overseeing court in the next tier, because that is the fail safe that is built into the system to ensure our freedoms are
protected. They do them better than we can do them, and at times it is easy to think we can do them better, and occasionally I believe I can. I mean no intentional contempt or disrespect. I hear complaining all the time about the President, and about Congress; and his shortcomings, and it makes me sick in my

That is a previous restraint condemned by history and at war with the First Amendment. The nature of the
particular official who has the power to grant or deny the authority does not matter. Those who wrote the First Amendment conceived of the right to free speech as wholly independent of the prior restraint of anyone. But the relationship has yet to be proven. Indeed, if one were to make judgments on the basis of speculation, one might guess that literature of the most
pornographic sort would, in many cases, provide a substitution-- not a stimulus-- for anti-social sexual conduct. As I read the First Amendment, Judges cannot gear the literary diet of an entire nation to
whatever tepid stuff is incapable of triggering the most demented mind. The First Amendment demands more than a horrible example or two of the perpetrator of a crime of sexual violence, in whose pocket is found a pornographic book, before it allows the nation to be saddled with a regime of censorship."

But if that law is as much law as any other law-not merely from the point of view of the court, which will obey it, but from any other rational point of view-if as would be the case, the government had the physical power to
The very power that is used to enforce it justifies its existence as a law, for it is a matter of common sense that no law would survive its execution without the power and arms to execute it. were built in to the laws design from the start. For it should be true, whether it is or not proven factual,
that people who are government officials making laws in Congress, who are not in the majority Judiciary
themselves; having jurisprudence; are not as qualified to make laws exact in execution and nature,
based on experience in law, and that secondly, there is no sure promise to anyone that you will ever see
When the acts consist of making a combination calculated to cause temporal damage, the power to punish such acts, when done maliciously, cannot be denied because they are to be followed and worked out by conduct which might have been lawful if not preceded by the acts. No conduct has such an absolute privilege as to justify all possible schemes of which it may be a part. The most innocent and constitutionally protected acts or omissions may be made a step in a criminal plot, and if it is a step in a plot neither its innocence nor the Constitution is sufficient to prevent the punishment of the plot by law. Normally people may "speak freely." But the character and circumstances of the
act, not the abstract combination or speech, determined the proper legal rule to be applied.
-The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man in falsely shouting fire in a
theater and causing a panic. It does not even protect a man from an injunction against uttering words
that may have all the effect of force. Gompers v. The
question in every case is whether the words are used in such circumstances and are of such a nature as
to create a clear and present danger that they will bring about the substantive evils that Congress has a
right to prevent. It is a question of proximity and degree. When a nation is at war many things that
might be said in time of peace are such a hindrance to its effort that their utterance will not be endured
as long as men fight and that no Court could regard them as protected by any constitutional right.
