A good friend of mine celebrated his bday recently. Not telling how old he just turned, but its like re-living his 3rd bday again.. :P

Little baby Xan Der had his bday party on the same day... so we thought, why not prep Ed up for a childhood like bday again!!!~~!!~!! We have balloons, McDonalds kiddy pack, party hats and props, and most of all, a bunch of party till you drop kinda friends.

He truly has been through a lot, am glad this was one hell of a birthday....

It's amazing how very different ppl came to know each other. Guess it is a small world after all...

Da va det dags for annu en hogtid i Supersize landet :P Denna helg ar det Independence wknd, som borjar med Independece Day (also known as 4th of July) :D

Som det ser ut for tillfallet kommer Sandro ner fran NYC pa fredag och joinar oss tjejer i kubbspelande, konserttittande i Philly, drickande, middag och fyrverkerier :) Kommer bli riktigt nice!

I fredags skulle jag alltsa ivag till NYC redan tidigt pa formiddan. Hade ingen som kunde skjutsa mig och jag visste att det skulle vara hopplost att hitta parkering pa Jenkintowns tagstation en fredag. Sa jag tog mitt pick o pack (en liten rullvaska och min stora Chloe) och borjade ga i hettan. Borjade ga strax innan 10 och var hade val hunnit till Starbucks 55 min senare.  Visste att taget skulle komma prick elva, sa jag blev lite desperat och gick in pa Starbucks o fragade en kvinna som var pa vag ut om hon skulle at samma hall som taget. Fick isvatten av var kara agare av Starbucks, men kvinnan kunde inte skjutsa mig. Hon sa att hon kunde skjutsa mig upp for den forsta backen, men sen skulle hon at ett annat hall till sin klipptid. Annars hade hon skjutsat mig hela vagen. Typiskt!

Sa jag fortsatte kanka mina vaskor upp for Jenkintowns backar. Val uppe ar jag pa vag in i skuggan av en grand nar jag hor nagon ropa pa mig bakifran. Dar i en bil, sitter Jake's basebollskamrats mamma och fragar om jag behover skjuts nanstans. Overlycklig svarar jag ja o lassar in allt i bilen.

Kommer till stationen o vantar i en halvtimme pa att nasta buss ska ga, kommer till Philly, orkar knappt fa upp rullvaskan for trappan - sa en snall kille kommer fram o hjalper mig. Tror sa klart att den inte vager nat alls, trots mina varningar. Far det dar forvanade anstrangda ansiktsuttrycket som alla killar far nar det ar tungare an de forst trott. Satte mig pa Chinesebussen och kunde breda ut mig pa tva saten. SKONT! Sov nastan hela vagen och vaknade upp riktigt refreshed.

Tag suben till hotellet o stog i en laaaaaang ko for incheckningen. Medan jag stod dar sag jag Sveriges starkaste man (Magnus Magnusson right?) som tydligen ocksa bodde dar.  Blev lite panik nar ingen av oss stod med pa listan. Kollade hur manga ganger som helst, och till slut sa hittade jag Jennys namn, efter mycket om och men. Sen ville han att jag skulle betala $100 i deposit. Usch. Dar rok en del av pengarna pa en gang. Som tur va fick man ju tillbaka dem pa sondagen igen.

Akte upp pa rummet nar allt antligen va klart o slangde av mig alla onodiga saker. Emilia ringde o gav mig nr:t till Thomas. Tog suben ner till Battery Park o forsokte localisera honom och resten av sallskapet. Traffade pa Maggie istallet. Blev stor omfamning och sen letade vi tillsammans efter Thomas. Fick tillsagelse om att sitta o vanta snallt med en kille i gront sa skulle han ga o hitta resten av voluntarerna. 

Bubblade som tusan med Maggie medan vi vantade. Traffade pa Jennifer och Jennika som jag inte traffat pa ar o dag. Sen kom Thomas tillbaka med Martin och Sandro. Vi delade upp oss sa att jag o Maggie tog forsta passet.

Log till kinderna varkte! Valkomnade alla o delade ut inbjudningar till festen pa Hiro som var senare samma kvall. Traffade pa Frida o hennes vanner, samt Mia och sen Henrik (Pierre i Ondskan). Massa med manniskor senare fick vi ta en valbehovd paus fran allt leende.

In bland svennarna i parken igen och traffade pa ytterligare folk man kanner, som Sara som va pa skolan samtidigt som mig, Nina o Charlotte, Maria, Johanna (Malins syrra) och massa andra. Riktigt kul!! Alla hade picnic och det var allsang och dans kring midsommarstangen. Stamningen va pa topp!

Mycket prat och skratt senare var det dags for manga att bryta upp. Hade fortfarande inte hort nat fran JnJ men kande att det kanske var dags att aka till hotellet, eftersom jag fick alla roomkeys nar jag checkade in. Sa hejda till alla som var kvar vid nio tiden och tog suben upp till hotellet igen. Satt och vantade pa dem i ca 45 min innan JnJ antligen kom. Helt sjukt att se dem igen!!! Vi slangde oss om halsen pa varandra och munnarna gick i ett.

Sprang upp pa rummet, fixade oss och stack ut for att forsoka komma in pa Hiro. Det gick val mindre bra. Men jag traffade pa Sandro och Fridas gang igen sa vi hade kul iaf. Efter mycket snack och velande stack jag, Shanda, JnJ, Sandro o Vesam vidare for att hitta nat annat stalle att ga pa. Akte till Webster Hall i brist pa battre, men folket i kon sag for bedrovliga ut sa Shanda ringde en kompis som lovade att fixa in oss pa Prime. Vande kosan o tog en cab till Prime istallet. Slussades fram o tillbaka av skrikande bouncers och vakter. JnJ fick nog och strax efter dem stack aven Vesam. Kvar va jag, Sandro o Shanda. Kom antligen fram till bouncern, men Shanda's kompis lyckades inte fixa in oss. Riktigt synd!! Vi beslot oss for att ga till narmaste sub och aka hem. Blev en trevlig liten promenix som slutade vid mitt hotell. Behovde aldrig ta nagon sub for vi va sa nara dar jag bodde :) That's the beauty av att bo centralt!!

Aven om vi inte kom in nanstans hade jag en riktigt rolig kvall med manga nya bekantingar att lagga till i mitt sociala network. :)

't is altijd voorzichtig zijn met het verkopen van dat vel van die beer he, dus we gaan afwachten tot 3 juli en hopelijk mag er dan (nog meer) gefeest worden. (OP Werchter zal't dan te doen zijn!)

The event was a huge success.    A great time was had by all.  The food was delicious and the service superb!

They also criticised Israeli restrictions on the Palestinian territories during the talks.

The Palestinians joined the talks via the video link after being barred from going to London in the wake of the recent suicide bombing in Tel Aviv.

Foreign Secretary Jack Straw called the talks "constructive" and said the Palestinian delegates had promised a new draft of a Palestinian constitution within the next two weeks.

Speaking as the conference broke up, Mr Straw said Israeli restrictions caused problems for the Palestinian administration, but this could not be used as an excuse for failure to reform.

Rule of law

The foreign minister said he regretted Israel's decision to ban Palestinians from attending the meeting in person.

But the technology had worked well enough for there to be a proper dialogue.

Mr Straw praised Palestinian progress on financial reforms but an independent judiciary was needed.

That was "essential for the introduction of the rule of law in a comprehensive way inside the Occupied Territories", he said.

Afif Safieh, the Palestinian representative to the UK, said reform was in the Palestinian authority's own interests.

But the drive for change "should not be the tree that hides the forest" which was "dispossession" in the Occupied Territories, said Mr Safieh, who was at the talks.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has again voiced his disquiet about the summit, which has heightened tension between his country and the UK.

The AFP news agency quoted Mr Sharon as saying: "Yasser Arafat cannot be trusted to carry out reforms which need to be performed in the Palestinian territories and not in London."

Peace plea

The video link with Ramallah and Gaza started at 1200 GMT.

During the talks, Palestinian officials stressed the problems they said were caused by Israeli restrictions on their movements.

According to the AP news agency, Palestinian Information Minister Yasser Abed Rabbo also told the conference: "The suicide bombings will not bring us peace and confiscating of our liberty will not bring you security.

"Let us together reject extremism in all its forms. Let us together choose the path of peaceful negotiations."

Mr Rabbo also told reporters in Ramallah: "The Israeli occupation is responsible for hindering and creating all forms of obstacles of the reform process.

"If they (the international community) want real reform they should move these Israeli tanks and forces from our towns and cities and villages."

The conference brought together Palestinian and British delegates with senior representatives from Russia, United Nations, Jordan and Egypt.

Reform drive

The European Union's foreign policy chief, Javier Solana also took part.

Crucially, the US showed its commitment by sending William Burns, its main Middle East envoy.

The peace talks are seen as a way UK Prime Minister Tony Blair can demonstrate his commitment to international issues other than war with Iraq.

But Mr Straw insisted the drive for Middle East peace would be going on even if there was no Iraq crisis.

Speaking on Monday, Mr Blair said it was important to get lasting peace in the Middle East.

He said: "The reason why I think it is important to discuss political reform with the Palestinians is that there has been a sense in Israel, and outside, that, unless we get the right political mechanisms in place, it is difficult to make progress on the Middle East.

"Ours is an attempt to try to secure that, to try and push that forward."

Tog forst hand om Jessie pa morgonen och skjutsade over henne till Alverthorpe for att se pa Jake's match. Efter en relativt dalig match (alla barnen pa Jake's lag var ur form) at vi lunch pa ett stalle i Jenkintown. Hade sjuktkul, barnen, jag o Ad. Sen sa Ad helt plotsligt att jag kunde aka redan da om jag ville, eftersom jag skulle till NYC. Sa da slutade jag 1,5 h tidigare. Inte fy skamm!

Akte in till Philly och vantade pa att resten av tjejerna skulle pallra sig till Chinesebussen. Val pa bussen tjattrade EmmO o jag hela resan. Nar vi va nastan framme pa Manhattan borjade han som satt bredvid Jeanette att snacka med oss. Han kande tydligen 3 andra APs inne i Philly och ville tussa ihop oss allihopa. Vi satt o snacka med honom i ja, kanske 30-40 min tror jag. Trevlig prick.

Tog tunnelbanan upp till Chelsea och gick sista biten till vart hostel, dar Anna och Jenny lag och sussade. Checkade in och tvingade upp de ur sangarna. Vi bodde alla fem i samma rum + en okand som vi tyckte synd om.

Vi var hungriga (ja iaf tre av oss) sa vi gick fran hostelet till en restaurang som jag varit pa innan, Gusto, som ligger i Greenwich Village. Jag och tjejerna blev bra mottagna och satte oss vid baren och pimplade vin. Agaren fixade bord at oss i ett specialrum och kocken kom ut och pratade med oss. Han bjod pa forratter och de introducerade i stort sett ALLA som jobbade dar. Vi var valdigt uppassade om man sager sa!

Sen drog vi vidare, kopte lite mer vin och sant och hade "kalas" pa rummet medan vi gjorde oss iordning for kvallen. 5 tjejer som delar pa en ynka spegel ar kanske inte det basta.. Haha. Men det gick, och vi hade sjukt kul!

Tog taxi till klubben och seglade snabbt in. Blev Webster Hall denna gang. 3 dansgolv; ett med gamla hits, ett med salsa (lycka!) och ett med R&B. Mycket dans med andra ord!!

Drog darifran till Subways for lite fyllemat, sen marsch pannkaka i sang. :P Tidig kvall for engangskull.. Blev en del fnitter, snark och hyssjande - men till slut somnade alla :)

Pa sondagen gick vi upp o at frukost pa FIKA. Vem stotte vi pa dar om inte Ryan Gosling (The Notebook) !!! Tjejerna blev alldeles till sig. :D

Va inne pa Apple Store och kolla mailen som vanligt och sen drog EmmO, Jeanette och jag till Ace ett tag och efter det till Chinatown for att ta bussen hem tidigt pa eftermiddagen (det borjade regna och vi ville inte ga runt i pissregn!) . En av kineserna holl pa o slussa oss fram och tillbaka hela tiden. Riktigt forvirrande, men till slut kom vi pa ratt buss.

Sjalvklart gick inte vara tag hem forran 45 min senare, men vi satt dar o vantade tillsammans sa det gick sa bra sa. :)

Slut pa annu en utflykt till the Big Apple :)

For those of you who don't know, All Tomorrow's Parties is a festival. For each ATP festival, a band get the honor of creating their own line-up of bands they would like to see play along with them at the festival. Then the festival takes over a small village and the festival-goers all live like a big, happy family in a hotel or in apartments. Since all the bands playing get to live and eat for free most of them hang around for the entire festival as well.

This year ATP was curated by Explosions in the sky. It turns out they're not only a great band, they also have great taste in music. They invited Okkervil river, ...and you will know us by the trail of dead, Ghostface Killah and some other great bands to play. Of course I had to go.

I've heard and seen so much music it's almost ridiculous. I even discovered some new, exciting bands (A hawk and a hacksaw, The National, Silver Jews).

Can't get enough of Okkervil river live - obviously. Well, what can I say. It's kicks, man! I wish I could live the rest of my life at the front row of a never-ending Okkervil river concert. I'm never as happy as I am when I'm faced with my dear friends and their great music. Can't help but to smile, dance and sing along. I've never seen Okkervil at a festival before, nor such a weird-looking tent or such a big venue. And I don't think I've ever seen this kind of energy from the guys. It indeed passed on to the audience, we were all happily clapping along. What we missed out on (being so close to Will that you can hear him whisper the lyrics ever so carefully) we instead got in the form of Will screaming "I wanna see all of your fucking hands!" - and I don't complain. It was different and absolutely lovely. I wish I could turn the whole Okekrvil experience into words but I simply can't. They're too great. My words wouldn't be enough and they'd only do harm.

Although, It ends with a fall was a huge surprise! And take it from me, it has never sounded so good. It was beautiful. It was heartbreaking. And I was trying my hardest not to cry. Thanks to Niklas, you can watch it all here (along with The president's dead, Black and John Allyn Smith sails).

After the Okkervil river concert I had to run upstairs to see ...and you will know us by the trail of dead. I've seen them live once before (Gothenburg last year) and I hate to say it but that was a disappointment. I've heard so many great things about how amazing Trail of dead are live. When I saw them they were indeed memorable, not because of how great they were but because of how drunk they were - so drunk they couldn't play the instruments. This time around, though... Now I actually know what people mean when they say that they're amazing live. Amazing! Brilliant!
When I met Jason the night before the show (at a party with Trav, Pat and some new friends), I told him I'd never forgiven them for not playing Mistakes & regrets (one of my all time, all genres, favorite song!) in Gothenburg despite the fact that they had it on the setlist. This time around, they did play it. With the introduction "memories, hopefully good ones". Hell to the yeah. I have some fine memories of that one. Hey Jason! You're forgiven. Big time.
Jason came up to me and Niklas after the show. Unfortunately he had to leave and so he just wanted to say bye. He left us with an invitation to come backstage for the next Trail of dead show in Stockholm. Can't believe how sweet that man was!

Enough about the music. What I loved the most about the festival, and I warn you this might sound cheesy, was the atmosphere and the company. Comparing ATP to Swedish festivals comes natural and easy for me, and there's really nothing like ATP. Everyone was so sweet and nice, polite and happy. It really did feel like we were all a part of a big family. Maybe it's to blame for the drugs, this feeling of "if you don't get me arrested, I won't get you arrested" almost as if we were all sharing a big secret. To hell with the so called strict zero tolerance drug policy. I'm not too surprised about this massive weed party, I'm more shocked over the fact that people were so... nice.

Niklas and I (along with Agnes and Mike) showed up unannounced at a party hosted by some people Travis knew. They immediately offered us a place to sit, drinks, drugs (of course I didn't do any 'cause I'm a living saint) and what not. We talked all night long and got along great. This wouldn't happen in Sweden, instead you'd be thrown out with your head first.

Even though the festival was quite a big one (like I said, I tend to compare them to Swedish ones) it felt really intimate.

Getting to spend so much time with friends I rarely see was definitely the best part! I'm talking about Travis, Patrick, Agnes and Mike - first and foremost. Can't think of a better company! Saying bye to Travis (Patrick was on another planet at that time) was difficult. I couldn't bring myself to it. We hugged and kissed for a very long time, repeating the I love you's over and over again.

Sorry I won't tell you any of the details of our trip to Minehead. Like I said, it feels like it's a secret I share with my big, happy family at ATP. I had the time of my life and I'll keep the memories close to my heart.

I miss ATP like effing crazy. Tonight I'll drown my sorrows at Morrissey's birthday party.

Blev riktigt irriterad och ledsen igar kvall. Hade varldens hemlangt, da jag for forsta gangen pa (jag vet inte hur manga) manader inte hade nagra planer for kvallen. Ringde Momma och snackade ett tag. Ville bara hem.

Nu maste jag ner och fixa frukost till Jessie. Take care ppl! <3
