En el marco del festival, Panasonic presentará su muestra de fotografía Miradas Argentinas y Bécquer Casaballe dictará la conferencia “Imágenes de la Imaginería (el culto en las calles)”

Panasonic, empresa proveedora de soluciones de telecomunicaciones, imagen y sonido, participará como Auspiciante en los XV Encuentros Abiertos- Festival de la Luz 2008, espacio de intercambio cultural y comunicación entre fotógrafos de todas las disciplinas, lugares y orígenes.

La XV edición de los Encuentros Abiertos - Festival de la Luz 2008 tendrá lugar del 1 de Agosto al 30 de septiembre de 2008 en Museos, Centros Culturales, Galerías y Espacios de Arte de toda Argentina. Todas las actividades fotográficas son gratuitas, a excepción del Foro de Portfolios y los talleres; y estarán divididas en cinco grupos: Exposiciones, Conferencias, Intervenciones Urbanas, Foro de Portfolios y Talleres.

Panasonic, además de ser Sponsor del Festival de Luz 2008, participará en estos encuentros exhibiendo su colección Miradas Argentinas. Esta muestra fotográfica forma parte de la colección de Arte que Panasonic inició en el año 2005 y se presentó en varios museos de interior del país, sumando en cada provincia a un artista local. Miradas Argentinas se presentará en la Sala 8 del Centro Cultural Recoleta del 7 al 31 de agosto de 2008, cerrando su itinerancia por el interior del país en los XV Encuentros Abiertos – Festival de la Luz 2008.

La muestra, que contó con la curaduría de Elda Harrignton, esta compuesta por las obras de 21 reconocidos artistas locales: Tony Valdez, Eduardo Gil, Juan Travnik, Marcos López, Jorge Leiva, Mariano Manikis, Daniel Muchiut, Gustavo Frittegotto, Alejandro Montes de Oca, Elda Harrington, Guadalupe Miles, Gerardo Repetto, Raul Cottone, Cayetano Arcidiacono, Sergio Fasola, Sergio Tantanian, Becquer Casaballe, Esteban Pastorino, Hugo Aveta, Julieta Chiapano y Gabriel Varsanyi.

Durante los Encuentros Abiertos de Fotografía se realizará una semana de conferencias, proyecciones y debates en los auditorios del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes y de la Alianza Francesa. En este marco, el lunes 11 de Agosto a las 17 horas, Becquer Casaballe disertará sobre la relación entre la técnica y la realización de un ensayo documental, en la Conferencia auspiciada por Lumix, “Imágenes de la Imaginería (el culto en las calles)”.

The Health Guide is a single purpose platform to facilitate telehealth by collecting data from devices (heart rate, weight, glucose, etc.) and securely transmitting the data for remote monitoring by a clinician or other caregiver. Intel also states that the Health Guide will also enable secure email communication and delivery of health-related content to the end user (consumer). This is the second product to come out of Intel's Digital Health Group, the first being a clinician-centric, mobile computing platform, the MCA.

The release of Health Guide follows last month's announcement by Intel of the social caregiver's website, ConnectingforCare, which was formed in partnership with the National Family Caregivers Association. This site is still very immature and lacking critical content thus begging the question - Do we really need another social community website such as this when we are already inundated with numerous, healthcare centric social sites?

Reading through some of Intel's documents (caution PDFs) on their health care evolution and design philosophy, it is clear that Intel has every intention to move from a passive player in the market, supplying microprocessors (chips) to any and all takers, to becoming a direct developer, marketer and seller of devices such as the Health Guide. Intel sees a huge opportunity in the telehealth market to serve an aging baby boomer population that will increasingly use technologies such as this to manage their health, in conjunction with their physician, from the comfort of their home.

Savvy move on Intel's part as there is indeed a significant opportunity and I see no single dominant player in the market today. Sure, Philips is there as well as Omron and Panasonic, along with GE giving it a close look but no one has taken a commanding lead. Thus, there are no formidable barriers to a new entrant such as Intel. It is still a wide open market.

But in reading the announcement I am struck by the lack of reference on Intel's part as to how the Health Guide fits into the broader context of care and in particular, electronic records, be they PHR, EMR or EHR. No reference whatsoever on this front which has me quite puzzled as Intel is a key partner in the Personal Health System (PHS) Dossia, which Colin Evans, formerly of Intel, is now leading. This raises a number of questions:

• How will the Health Guide fit into a consumer's existing PHR such as one from RelayHealth which already has secure physician-consumer communication embedded in the PHR?
• Similarly, how will Health Guide interface to a solution like ICW's LifeSensor PHR that has a significant number of interfaces to existing biometric devices?
  
• How might Health Guide integrate into a clinician's existing workflow and EMR solution and if the clinician offers a patient portal, will Health Guide automatically populate the patient portal with biometric data and any communications that occur electronically?
• What might be the connection between the Health Guide and a PHS. For example, Microsoft's HealthVault is in many ways similar to Health Guide (at least from a software perspective) in that it offers secure communication of biometric data to a secure server for storage and retrieval? Are these competing solutions or complimentary?

In making the announcement of FDA approval, Intel also stated that the product would not be released to market until late this year or early next. That should give Intel enough time to further clarify the positioning of Health Guide and address the questions above. Otherwise, despite all the bells & whistles, Health Guide will struggle.

A Panasonic apresenta a sua nova bicicleta elétrica, a Vivi RX 10-S. Ela tem um mini motor na roda dianteiraque recarrega uma bateria de lítio-íon (10 Ah) sempre que você pisar no freio. A bateria de 26 volts pesa 2.5 kg e fica localizada na roda traseira.

Só que segundo a Panasonic, este método não é suficiente para recarregar a bateria, e não funciona com uma velocidade de mais de 24 km/h. Mas o uso do motor é ótimo para dar aquela ajudinha na subida de uma colina, por exemplo, e com o sistema de frenagem regenerativa a autonomia passou de 90 km para 125 km. Usando o modo automático, a autonomia passa a ser de 182 km.

Ela é feita em alumínio e pesa 25.7 kg. Ela deve custar cerca de US$ 1.400 no Japão e o objetivo da Panasonic é vender 3.000 unidades no primeiro ano. Acho que não preciso nem dizer que não existe qualquer previsão para ela ser comercializada no Brasil, pelo menos por enquanto.

Ainda acho que o "mini-motor" deveria ser na roda traseira, vai que você tá indo bem rápido e quer recarregar a sua bike, ai você freia o da frente e a bicicleta vira :p

Por otro lado he encontrado la otra, una Werlisa slim50PRO. Esta es una cámara sencilla, de 5,0MP. No lleva zoom óptico, sólo digital x8 y poco más. La tarjeta de memoria es SD y en vez de baterías funciona con pilas AAA (2). Pero lleva una carcasa para poderla sumergir hasta 15 metros. Y el precio, 89EUR. Así que mañana iré a devolver la Olimpus porque hay que tener claro para qué quiere uno la cámara y yo en este caso nada más que para hacer tres fotos cuando esté en el agua, el día que me de la vena, haciendo el panoli. Y ya está. Sé que a 10 metros no voy a llegar ni soñando, la cámara no sé, si se me cae a lo mejor sí, pero vamos, ahí se queda. Y sobre la calidad de las fotos, yo tengo ahora mismo las dos Panasonic LUMIX (DMC FX10 y DMC FX12) que para ser sincero, creo que son de las cámaras que mejor calidad de fotos ofrecen a día de hoy, de la gama de las compactas y quiero pensar que las lentes tienen algo que ver.

Así que mañana, o el fin de semana, me iré a la playa a tantear mis primeras fotos debajo del agua. :)

Ya llego al mercado mexicano el primer reproductor de blu-ray lanzado por Panasonic esta hermosura tiene un precio aprox de $6,999 pesos, cuenta con un sistema de navegación Final Estándar Profile y una reproducción a 24 cuadros por segundo en Full HD 1080p, los discos alcanzan un volumen de 50 GB así que imagínense con esa gran capacidad cual será su alcance, vean el juguetito jajajajaja XD KML.

I purchased a set of Panasonic RP-HC500 noise canceling headphones.  My intention was to use them with my Uniden BC95XLT scanner.  At Iowa Speedway, I was having a hard time hearing all of the radio traffic over the engine and exhaust noise from the cars.  I knew the NASCAR races at Chicagoland Speedway would be much louder because the cars are louder and there are more than twice as many as there are at IndyCar races.  My scanner would be totally inaudible.

That's where the Panasonic headphones would step in.  I purchased my headphones from Amazon.com for $95.44.  I never thought I would purchase such expensive headphones.  I am hardly an audiophile.  I want something that sounds good, but isn't expensive either.  The Panasonics won out over several other sets of headphones.

The headphones came in a rather large box, mostly because of the nice hard case Panasonic provides for transporting the headphones.  You can carry the headphones, audio cable, and airline and large-diameter jack adapters in the case.

Now for the first audio test.  I run an air purifier in my room - an old school one with the fan inside and a filter.  It makes some noise and actually helps me sleep.  This white noise seemed like just the kind of thing that would be canceled out by the headphones.  I put the headphones on and flipped the power switch.  No more air purifier noise.  I couldn't hear the air conditioner anymore either.  I then did some surfing with the Eee while listening to music on my Sansa e260.  Usually I would have the volume set around 50% on the Sansa.  With the Panasonic noise canceling headphones, I only needed to have the volume around 25-33%.  I could also hear things I had never heard before in some songs.  You really get immersed in the music.  The treble and bass from the headphones was to my liking - in other words, there wasn't a lot of bass causing the sound to be distorted and "fuzzy."  One downside to the headphones - there was some noticeable sound leakage from the microphone holes on the earpiece exteriors.  It was loud enough that a person seated next to me would have been able to hear my music.

Second audio test - NASCAR weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.  I caught the end of Sprint Cup final practice before the opening ceremonies for the Dollar General 300 Busch Nationwide race.  Stock cars are freaking loud!  Much louder than IndyCars.  You can watch IndyCars without ear protection (though I wouldn't recommend it).  You will have hearing loss if you watch a NASCAR race without protection.  The sound was piercing and the inside of my ears felt like they were vibrating.  I then put on my headphones for protection.  The sound became much more tolerable.  Then I turned on the noise canceling function.  Even better.  The harsh exhaust note was gone and I could just hear the mechanical growl of the engines.  The sound was a lot like what you hear on TV during a NASCAR race.  In person, the cars sound nothing like they do on TV.  The sound in person is much harsher.  I tried out my scanner before the Nationwide race and the experience was just like the one I had with my MP3 player.  I only had to put the volume up half as loud as before to be able to hear the radio communications.

About comfort; the foam padding on the cups is comfortable.  You can adjust the length of the arch (I don't know what it's called) that goes over your head so you can wear the ear cup things high or low, based on what's comfy for you.  Unlike a co-worker's pair of Sonys I had tried at work, my ears did not get hot and there was no "sound pressure" sensation.  The headphone cable was pretty long, so I did have to coil it up a bit so I wouldn't have much dangling cable.

In summary, these Panasonic headphones are an excellent value.  They are good for using at races and good for listening to stuff at home.  The carrying case adds a touch of class and is good for transporting the headphones so they don't get broken.

Note:  As of this writing, I am awaiting Amazon to come through with their 30-Day Price Guarantee.  The price of the headphones dropped to $89.33.  Part of Amazon's policy says "If Amazon.com's price for an already-released item decreases within 30 days after we ship the item to you, we'll be glad to refund the difference in price if you contact us within that 30-day period."  I've invoked this privilege several times and it has always worked.  It's part of the reason I shop at Amazon.

This laptop is definitely the choice for most police departments in the country as well as mobil service companies that have service vans on the road.  A road warrior laptop.

The reasons that I like this model is actually two-fold.  First and formost is the fact that it is a Centrino Duo which gives it some horse power.  Second because it comes with the built in SD memory card reader.  The older versions of this same model do not include that reader. 

Some of the Cons for this model as compared to the earlier CF-50 is that it does not include a 3.5 inch Floppy drive.  In order to use floppies with the CF-51 you must swap the CD drive with a floppy drive.  Where as the CF-50 had both drives built into the unit. 

All in all though the CF-51 model is a vast improvement over the CF-48 and CF-50 versions of the same line of toughbooks.

Enquanto isso, em Omotesando, na capital nipônica, muitos japoneses já ficaram felizes ao comprar o seu iPhone, sendo que o primeiro saiu da loja vinte minutos depois do início da empreitada venda do iPhone, iniciada ontem, às sete da manhã.

Fora a loja cool-chique lá de Harajuku, aquele bairro em que as pessoas se vestem engraçado, a venda do telefoninho do senhor Steve Jobs só começa hoje, sábado, quando as lojas abrirem, lá pelas dez da manhã, 24 horas depois de Tokyo.

Mas os noticiários estão meio encafifados com o bendito iPhone, foi manchete nacional em diversos canais. Afinal, se ele é tão de ponta, por que não faz metade das coisas que os celulares comuns da Sharp, Panasonic e Fujitsu, donas de nada menos que 90% do mercado de 100 milhões de assinantes (lembrando que o país todo tem 120 milhões), fazem assim, de série, sem reclamar?

Afinal, não dá para ver tevê no iPhone. Nem pagar a passagem de trem. Nem ler o código de barra da promoção do café-com-leite. Nem teclado tem. Nem tem flip, poxa vida.

Mas é Apple, e japonês adora uma marca. Mas vamos ver se o preço vai dar conta do luxo. Porque com o preço do iPhone você compra o celular mais caro da loja. Aquele que manda e-mail com desenhinhos, lê mangá, compra chá e vê o dorama da moda.

A impressão que dá é que o iPhone é tipo o estrangeiro que chega na escola japa e quer se enturmar entre os populares. Do tipo "olha, eu era o primeiro da classe e do time de basquete lá nos EUA, viu, eu sou legal, quer ser meu amigo?" Enquanto os pops do time de beisebol olham com aquela cara meio desconfiada, porque a falta de pretensão e a submissão da Apple, que está vendendo o aparelho não só nas lojas da empresa, mas também pelas lojas de eletrônicos e revendas das empresas de telefonia celular japonesa, é de deixar qualquer oriental com a pulga atrás da orelha.

Amanhã eu conto se teve ou não fila na lisonjeira lojinha de Matsue. Vamos ver se a coisa pega no interior do Japão. Afinal, em Tokyo é tudo muito mais fashion. Aproveito e faço a conta pra mostrar quanto custa a brincadeira. Porque aqui é muito complicado comprar celular. Agradeça se você pode ir nas Casas Bahia, comprar o celular que você quiser e depois comprar um chip e só receber ligação. O Brasil é muito mais avançado do que se imagina.

Tak jadi soal sih, kalo memang kita over budget yang ga perlu atau mungkin tidak tau mengenai fitur atau program dari ini barang.
