Sie starten das System und spielen das Spiel, was jeder von Ihnen kennen sollte. Pacman. Sie spielen eine Runde und lassen Pacman von den Geistern töten. Nun brauchen Sie nur ein Bildschirmfoto zu machen und es auszudrucken. Da Pacmen in Wirklichkeit echte Lebewesen sind, welche man in den 80'ern in den Computer verbannt hat, kommt anstelle des Papiers der Körper des toten Pacman zum Vorschein.

Ab jetzt ist es ganz einfach!

Rezept:

• frisches Basilikum
• Salz
• Pfeffer
• Hackfleisch

Nehmen Sie den Pacman vorher aus, denn die vorher von ihm gefressenen Kugeln sind bitter und pixelig. Stopfen Sie seinen Bauch mit vorgegartem, mit Salz und Pfeffer abgeschmeckten Hackfleisch. Legen Sie den Pacman dann in einen gut vorgeheizten Ofen und lassen ihn braun werden. Dann richten Sie ihn auf einem Teller an. Fertig ist das Essen für die ganze Familie. Bei Bedarf können weitere Pacmen gedruckt werden!

I know must of you might think I'm an ignoramus, but I only yesterday found out the wonderful options in igoogle.  I installed FireFox & Adobe Reader. I loved playing around with Google Earth. It was much more user-friendly than wikimapia. Only I still haven't learnt to compute the distance from point A to point B on Google Earth. I loved playing brain tuner and hangman. This is so much better than solitaire and freecell if you want to play games during computer classes ;-)

I have also discovered the wonderful video game world of Frog leap, golf, pacman, sonic, tetris & world cup shoot out on Microsoft Excel

These games may be fun, but I never got to play the real games, on the consoles they were designed for, seeing as I wasn't born then. So the gaming session didn't bring back any old memories, as I didn't have any. Ah well, in years to come I will have memories of the soon-to-be "old school" PS3 games when they bring out the next revolutionary console.

Bei Cydia ( setzt Jailbreak vorraus) findet man momentan ein wirklich geniales Spiel. Es handelt sich um "Macman". Bei dem Namen denkt man direkt an Pacman, und nichts anderes ist Macman. Ihr steuert im Landscape-Format per Bewegung einen Pacman. Um die herumschwirrenden Geister fressen zu können, müsst ihr in der Gegend herumliegenden Apfel fressen. Nebenbei gibt es noch einige Icons die ihr einsammel könnnt, um euren Score in die Höhe zu treiben.

Die Steuerung funktioniert bei dem Spiel perfect, und bei der sehr guten Grafik besteht akute Suchtgefahr, und mega Spielspass.

Lembram-se daquele esquimó que pulava de iceberg em iceberg pra construir seu iglu e não morrer de frio? E ainda tinha que fugir de pássaros, caranguejos e ursos. Lançado em 1983 pela Activision, foi um dos jogos de ação mais famosos do Atari. Era infinito e tinha grau de dificuldade crescente.
Aquele jogo fazia a minha cabeça! Quando eu ganhava 100 mil pontos e aparecia aquele peixinho na tela era o êxtase! Eu era muito boa nesse jogo, que eu chamava de “Gelinho”. Mas atualmente mal consigo fazer 200 mil pontos...

Ou o “Jogo do Submarino”. O objetivo era resgatar 6 homenzinhos do fundo do mar, atirar em peixes e tubarões que atiram em você (?) e não deixar o oxigênio acabar. Adorava esse jogo! Mais um lançamento da Activision de 1983.

Megamania
Era o jogo em que tínhamos que matar as naves inimigas. Não sei se era só eu, mas tinha a impressão de que aquelas naves tinham formados de sanduíches. hehehe... Era um dos mais famosos jogos de tiro, lançado também pela Activision em 1982. Mas este não era infinito, já que o jogo acabava quando atingia a marca dos 999.999 pontos.
Quem era boa jogando “Batatinha” era minha mãe. Rojas e eu nos sentávamos só pra vê-la jogar. Hoje em dia quem “detona” é ele.

“No jogo, baseado na série de filmes do cinema mudo Keystone Cops de Mark Sennett, você é o oficial inglês Kelly Keystone e tem que perseguir o fugitivo Harry Hooligan pelos 3 andares e terraço de uma loja de departamentos, antes que ele escape pela saída, no final do terraço”.
Nunca soube disso! Pra mim era o jogo do “Guardinha” que tinha que correr atrás do ladrão em um shopping. E eu sempre me perguntei o que era aquela bolinha que ficava pulando atrás da gente e o treco preto que parecia sair fumaça. Só depois descobri que era uma bola mesmo e o treco preto eram caixas de som. Também foi desenvolvido pela Actionvision em 1983.

Super Mario World
Já na era do Nintendo, me veio o Super Mário Bros. Aliás, além de Super Mário, os únicos jogos que eu gosto são Mortal Kombat, Aladdin, O Máskara e um pouquinho de Donkey Kong.
Super Mário World foi lançado pela Nintendo em 1991, mas o personagem Mario nos videogames foi criado em 1985. A série Super Mario é a mais vendida da história dos videogames! E não é à toa. Além de ser diferente de tudo até o momento, tinha um gráfico bonito e inúmeras surpresas ao longo do caminho.
O objetivo do jogo era salvar a Princesa Toadstool, que foi seqüestrada pelo Koopa. Assim, os bombeiros Mário e Luigi tinham que atravessar céus, terras, mares e cavernas da Dinosaur Land para chegar lá. E sempre contando com a ajuda do dinossauro-cavalo-amigo Yoshi e das ferramentas flor de fogo, cogumelo e pena. Muito bom! Quem já conseguiu zerar com as 96 fases?

Jogos de tabuleiro também fazem a minha cabeça. Hoje em dia não tenho mais nenhum, mas ainda vou refazer toda a minha coleção.

Xadrez
Apesar de haver muitos mitos para a origem do Xadrez e muitas pessoas acharem que o jogo se originou Egito Antigo ou na China, os pesquisadores concordam hoje que sua origem é a Índia no século VI d.C. Após ter se difundido para a Pérsia e no segundo milênio para a Europa, o Xadrez que conhecemos hoje é o chamado Xadrez Ocidental, com mudanças que ocorreram durante a Idade Média. Em 2001 o jogo foi considerado um esporte, com seu próprio torneio olímpico. Assim, se alguém me pergunta se pratico algum esporte, respondo prontamente: Xadrez! hehe...
Xadrez é jogado em um tabuleiro com 64 casas claras e escuras e cada jogador possui 16 peças. O objetivo é dar um “xeque-mate” no adversário, ou seja, matar o rei.

Ludo
Ludo é um jogo de corrida para 2 a 4 jogadores. O objetivo é colocar todas as peças no quadrado central, mas pra isso, deve percorrer antes todo o tabuleiro.
“Ludo” é o nome europeu dado para o jogo originalmente indiano, Pachisi. É muito interessante! Sempre gostei de jogar Ludo. Mas como tenho péssima sorte no jogo, quase nunca ganhava. hehehe…

Detetive
E quem se lembra do jogo Detetive? O que eu mais gostava era do nome das personagens: Srta. Rosa, Profº Black, Coronel Mostarda, D. Violeta, D. Branca e Sr. Marinho, ou seja, nomes correspondentes às suas cores. É um jogo dos anos 70 que se passa em uma mansão onde o dono da casa foi assassinado. O objetivo é descobrir quem o matou, com que arma e em qual aposento.
Eu tinha minha tática e sempre ganhava esse jogo, para a raiva do Rojas! Hehehehe… Não, não vou revelá-la. :P

Riddles
“Enigma (Riddle em inglês) consiste em um jogo onde, através das dicas dadas, você deve chegar a uma resposta única utilizando métodos lógicos de raciocínio. A forma mais conhecida de riddle consiste em uma página onde existe uma figura, um título e uma frase embaixo da figura. A partir de dados coletados desses 3 ítens, o jogador deve chegar a uma resposta única e inserí-la no final do link da página ou em um pop-up”.
Eu posso ficar HORAS jogando um riddle. Embora já tenha jogado muitos (OMG, Doubt entre outros), meu preferido é o Cubico. Este último é um site que tem mais de 40 riddles tradicionais, com 30 fases cada, além de riddles com som e outros jogos como Tetris. O diferencial do Cubico é que a resposta é dada em um campo no próprio site e não precisa mudar o endereço da página. Vale muito a pena conferir!

Sudoku
É um quebra-cabeças que visa colocar números de 1 a 9 numa grade de 9 x 9, sem que os números se repitam em linhas horizontais, verticais ou nas células de 3 x 3. O nome “Sudoku” é uma abreviação para a frase que em português significa: “os números devem permanecer únicos”. Mas ao contrário do que muitos pensam, o jogo não é japonês, mas americano, projetado pelo arquiteto Howard Garns. Outro jogo que me faz “perder” muito tempo e está disponível nas novas versões do MSN.

O objetivo desses jogos é escapar dos cômodos usando todos os tipos de ferramentas, códigos, bilhetes ou outros materiais disponíveis. Alguns são mais difíceis, outros têm um design mais sofisticado. Esses são os meus preferidos! hehehe... Também passo horas jogando e não sossego enquanto não consigo escapar! Já joguei vários! Os meus preferidos são o Vision, Crimson Room, Viridian Room, Blue Chamber, Jobpico, O Cofre e O Quarto.

Foto tirada pelo papai na primeira peça de teatro que participei... Eu me lembro deste dia, até do momento em que tirei a foto. Estava toda feliz! E já mostrava o emagrecimento do início da doença.

Ok so in case you couldn't tell I haven't had lunch yet.  I was stumbling and found some really awesome looking food and that's what I'm going to use to replace my lost drawing :( .

Anyways the first is this amazing cake.  It's called "... Sour Cream-Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting and Chocolate Peanut Butter Glaze, though it is actually a Sour Cream-Chocolate Cake with Cream Cheese Peanut Butter Frosting and Chocolate Peanut Butter Glaze, but all you really need to know is that if you know a chocolate-and-peanut-butter lover, you must make this cake,"-smittenkitchen. This cake looks absolutely amazing and considering it's a cream cheese cake it probably tastes amazing too.

Next a chocolate chip cookie from Levain Bakery. I found it on Cookie Madness. It makes me want chocolate chip cookies really really bad. In the review it says that the thickest part of the cookie was close to an inch and a half. That's an amazing cookie plus the fact that it looks fresh and melty *drool*. If I ever go to New York I'll have to hit that place up definitely. Even though they have cookies by mail I doubt they'd be that good after sitting in the mail. Plus it looks like they're really expensive. For just 4 cookies it's $22 whoa! It says that amounts to almost 2 lbs. so I guess it's worth it.

Next, Pacman sugar cookies! Omg they are so cute haha. I would make these all the time. Maybe I should look for that ghost cookie cutter. Apparently guinea pigs love them too; if you check out the site you'll see it haha. I mean who doesn't like sugar cookies? :D

I think that's enough food surfing for now otherwise I'm going to die of hunger pangs! Hope you enjoyed the list. I might have to make food the regular Saturday topic ;) .

TREEP-LA! This is the only thing I was able to understand from today's tilt between the United States and Greece, which I watched from Italy, with Italian commentators. The announcing featured a lot of excited talking which sounded like jibberish (and often seemed out of place with the on-court action) and some mangled pronunciation's (Creese Boash), but without fail, every time either team hit a three-pointer one of the Italians would yell "treep-la!" And I would smile, knowingly. There were, of course, numerous breaks from the game where I was forced to sit through the women's 100m butterfly and the men's 200m backstroke relay, but that's all in the spirit of the Olympics, right?

Anyway, after much ballyhoo and tomfoolery from American analysts regarding Greece's chances, the game was pretty much over about halfway through second quarter. For the first time all tournament, the Americans were hitting their shots from the outside, which more or less makes them* unbeatable, and led to the announcers' eminently enjoyable three-point exclamations. And even without the drama of a close game, it was enjoyable for three reasons: 

1. The 22.5 point-spread kept things interesting right up until the final seconds (the U.S. won by 23) and reignited my affinity for gambling just as I receive about $2,000 in paychecks for my work this summer, and just in time for the beginning of college and pro football. 

2. Despite my relative indifference as to this team's success or failure, there's something special about watching 5 or 6 of the best basketball players in the world playing at an elite level, all at the same time. It was pretty obvious that everyone on the U.S. roster had been waiting for this game for quite a while, and after a sluggish start in the first quarter that I didn't even see thanks to Italy's fixation with obscure swimming events, I watched the U.S. pretty much run the Greeks off the court. Lebron is the best shot blocker in the world without any goaltending rule, Kobe finally found his rhythm from the perimeter, Carmelo continued to be the best FIBA player of all time, and Dwyane Wade** was playing like it's 2005. Throw in the Kidd-Paul-Deron combination at point guard, and even on a grainy public access channel in Italy, the Americans put on a show worth watching. 

3. Had I not been watching the game, I would have had to go into a small Italian town to shop with my mother and sister and possibly take a tour of a church. Instead, I spent the afternoon watching basketball, drinking beer, and eating penne. Treep-la, indeed.

So rather than dragging myself around a small Italian town and broaden my cultural horizons with snapshots of a church ceiling, it was an enjoyable afternoon here in Italy. As for the rest of the Olympics, I'd planned to watch and write about some of the other events, but there are two problems. Well, really just one: most of the other events suck. Every day I wake up and turn on my television and see things like "Women's Judo," some sort of Archery, a weightlifting competition, or, my personal favorite, men's field hockey. Usually around Olympic time I can depend on the good folks at NBC Sports to provide me with a few background segments on some of the more interesting athletes, therefore allowing me to take at least a modicum of interest in their respective events. This year, though, all I've had so far is Italian announcers and a vaguely racist Chinese jingle that the Italians have concocted for the occasion. I did get a kick out of watching ping pong, though.

MORE IMPORTANTLY: Dallascowboys.com has finally begun selling Adam Jones (nee Pacman) jerseys to the general public. The Dallas Cowboys are going to be a popular topic on this blog and I won't try to cram 10,000 words of my enthusiasm into one middling paragraph, but after four months of anticipation, the long national nightmare is over and I can finally spend 80 dollars to walk around town showing people that the Cowboys got a Pro Bowl cornerback and return specialist for a fourth-round pick. This is what that means: Pacman's suspension is close to being lifted, the Cowboys may end up being the most bad-ass NFL team since, well, the 1995 Cowboys, and even though ESPN and Brett Favre have been steadfast in their quest to suck every last ounce of fun out of the game, it's almost football season, and that's pretty awesome.

Finally, lest we forget about the NBA's non-dream-teamers: Deshawn Stevenson comes through with a video that looks like something you might stumble across on some 14 year-old's Myspace----except that Deshawn's almost 30 and makes millions of dollars every year, which makes the video completely awesome.

Lebron James, you may be a global icon, currently in the midst of dazzling the world on its biggest athletic stage, but somewhere in the basement of his suburban Maryland mansion, Deshawn Stevenson is still cooler than you.

* Or "us"? For whatever reason, this team leaves me feeling strangely ambiguous as to the outcomes of its games. ** Dwyane Wade is back! After being written off as Penny Hardaway part deux and hobbling around Miami for almost two years in a losing cause, he may just be the best player on Team USA. He's hitting his jump shots, getting to the rim, and not dislocating any of his limbs. Even if this means Pat Riley will likely enjoy a little bit more success in the NBA, as basketball fan, I'm happy to see one of the 5-7 best players in the game NOT begin a slow decline into injury-riddled mediocrity. He was on the brink for a while there, but it appears he's back to 100%--fall seven times, stand up eight (or something like that).

This simple command, syncs with the respositories and checks for updates to your system. If there are upgrades to be had, it will prompt you after synchronizing with the remote server.

# pacman -Ss name_of_package

Searches database for package with specified string in it's title or description. This is good if you're searching for a package you're not sure exists in the database.

# pacman -Sy name_of_package

This command installs a package.

# pacman -Scc

Removes the cache from your system.

# pacman -Rs name_of_package

Uninstalls package and it's dependencies.

# pacman -Qtd

Searches for orphaned packages no longer needed. After which, it asks if user would want to uninstall the packages.

Sorry I Missed Your Party - Along the same lines as the Man Babies blog, this one also features funny photos - photos from "other people's parties," to be exact. Some of these are hilarious.

The event was really good. It was colourful. There were a lot of surprises, especially the huge torch where the olympic flame is still up.

I satyed up late to watch the event because I found out a day before that Team Philippines will be entering the stadium, which they call Bird Nest, near the end. Too bad I wasn't really able to watch their exact entrance because I was watching Hardball on ANC through TFC. But because our TV has PIP (Picture-In-Picture), I was able to change channels immediately & still catch up on the announcement.

The announcement that I caught was the announcement of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao's name, he was mentioned because he was our flag bearer in the opening ceremony. I was disappointed not to hear any of the Pacman's achievements when his name was mentioned.

You see, other flag bearers achievements were mentioned. Even if some of the flag bearers weren't athletes at all or haven't participated in any sporting event, they still had a special mention. For example, I'm not sure of which country it was, the Seven Network commentators were fascinated of one the falg bearers because she was from the royal family. What does it have to do with sports?

I could only hear the commentators making a mockery of Pacman's presence in the opening ceremony. Not any single achievements of his.

I was actually already expecting the worse even before Team Philippines entered the stadium. I know that they weren't going to speak of his achievements. But at least they could have respected who he was a great boxer.

I know some Filipinos would react badly if they actually heard it. Based on what I've read on the past, Pacquiao fans would say it is racism. And I am not saying that it is racism. It was just simply out of respect to our great boxer.

I just come across the calendar and i noticed that the date is 08-08-08. I do not know what it brings to many, as they thought it would be a lucky repetition of number, and considering that the number 8 is a symbol of infinity.

It didn't strike me though as much as the others, but for sure, many Feng Shui enthusiasts and Astrologers droll on coming up with different predictions considering the arrangement of the stars and the nature's elements falling into place. Technically, i know nothing about Astrology or Feng Shui, so I am not in authority to tell tales about the earth's elements and their movements; otherwise, I will appear to be the stupidest prophet of all the false prophets ever lived. And i swear, i don't want to be burnt alive with the public viewing.

On a lighter side, the date reminds me of a dance craze called "Otso Otso"popularized by Bayani Agbayani few years back. With it's back-breaking steps, the archipelago went gaga over this dance phenomenon. Kids and adults alike just loved the "Otso Otso" dance, which turned out to be an excellent network marketing strategy for ABS-CBN leaving its rival network eating up dusts.

This year, the number 8 becomes a gateway for many Filipinos for golden glory. With the Philippines participation in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, today, August 08 remains to be the doorway to new hope for the 15 Filipino and half Filipino Olympians and their officials in bringing home the first ever gold medal. I just can imagine how proud these athletes be, seeing Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao leading the delegates, with his grips carrying the Sun and Stars waving, as they march towards the arena. It is the first time in the history of the Summer Olympics that a Professional Boxer was accorded the privilege to carry the country's red white and blue. It is truly such an honor for the leading Filipino sportsman to walk alongside the Williamses, Federer and Nadal of Tennis, LeBron and Kobe of the big time basketball world, in one big arena. An opportunity rarely given to a highly deserving Filipino achiever.

The question that remains without a definite answer, however, is how long can these 15 Filipino hopefuls could push themselves for the only medal that deprives the country being delisted in the rooster of nations with most medals won without a gold medal in the Olympics? A question that pauses a big sigh of both confusion and hope for the million Filipino spectators.

Today is 08-08-08, to most Filipinos, it means either infinity or nothing. After all, it's a make or break number like any other counting number.

My idea is that, instead of placing neutral ball along the pathway in the maze, there are positive power-up and negative power-down along the these balls. And each time they are distributed randomly with half and half. The idea of power-up is that when the Pac-Man running across a +(Yang) balls, it would increase its strength, therefore move faster, and when the strength is above certain threshold, it would be able to eliminate any ghost it encounter. On the other end, every time it running across - (Ying) balls, the strength of itself would decrease therefore it would move slower, and when the strength is below certain threshold, any ghost could eliminate it.

This illustrate the idea of dynamically changing advantage(Nobody has an absolute upper hand or lower hand for a fix period of time). So neither ghost or Pac-Man has an absolute advantage or disadvantage against each other. The advantage and disadvantage would change by the movement of Pac-Man. The goal of the game is either it visited four corners of the maze, to eat all the balls or eaten all the Ghost. It is like a new kind of game mixing the idea of chess and computer game.

(One complexity we can add into the game is either the Pac-Man can endure so much power-up that it will explode or adding the power-up above the maximum threshold doesn't affect the status of Pac-Man at all. )
