Subject: Dealing effectively with complaints, problems, bad service , ISP provider-

…

The Written Complaints are always an important way to identify areas of much needed improvement, and they can lead to significant improvements eventually.

You might be so dissatisfied with your phone company, ISP provider, or whatever? and next most persons will simply transfer their account immediately to another firm, another service provider entirely, but beware you may still have to deal with the penalty for breaking the contract, and in reality such an approach does not do anything to alleviate or likely help the same problem that many other customers next will also have. If you help to deal with it all now properly it may all take more time but in the end it will generally, if done right, next bring positive changes and great regards for and from other now as well.

Some of the most common areas of complaints, difficulty are as follow:

Advertisements - for complaints about the truth, accuracy, ethics or legality of advertisements, as well as confusing or unclear labeling directions, contact the Minister of Consumer Affairs

Bills - for complaints about problems with your phone bill, or ISP in the first instance you should contact the telephone or ISP service provider. If you are not satisfied with their response then contact not only the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman but many others as well.. You might also want to contact the nearest office of your federal, state, provincial consumer affairs ministry now too..

Fixed Line or Mobile Phone Contracts - The actual contract that supplies you with a mobile or fixed line telephone is a trade agreement. These come under contract law and contracts are sometimes disputed as being either unfair or unfulfilled. In these cases, again you should firstly contact the organization with whom you signed the contract. If you are not satisfied with their response then again, contact the nearest office of the Department of Consumer affairs.

The Quality of the Telephone Service or ISP now . Again, in the first instance you should always take up any complaint regarding the quality of the telephone service with your service providers as well as to the others.

Radio and Television Program Content For radio or television broadcast program content (not advertising), the federal Broadcasting Authority is generally responsible for ensuring that programs ‘reflect community standards’. They all will asks that you first make your complaint directly to the broadcaster concerned. They say that if a station fails to answer your written complaint within thirty days, or if you are otherwise still not happy with their response, you should then contact them,

How to Make an Effective Complaint - General Rules

..

The first simple, honest step is to contact the organization that you do have the problem with, and to tell them next preferably always in writing next too, specially that you want to make a complaint and you are also going to detail it in writing to them and to many others for further references now too.

..

Before making the specific contact, - make sure you do now have a clear idea about exactly what you are going to ask them. tell them. Do generally take some detailed, specific notes and do have them in front of you so you don’t get distracted or next forget any part of the essential information you want to share with them too. If possible, do also have a proposed resolution to your complaint that you would be fully happy with and present this to them too. Assemble a pen first now, and all the information that might be necessary for you to refer to, in front of you, out it all in writing on a page even before you call, including the initial telephone number, account number and billing address and next also the subsequent references given to you. . If you are calling about a specify phone or ISP account, bill, try to make sure you have a reference copy of it in front of you. The more prepared you are for the first telephone call, the more likely you will also need it when you have call back again later. Rarely does even phone call or one letter suffice. Do talk also to your friends, neighbors, and do also see if they had the same problem now too.

..

You do try to phone them firm first and follow it up with a confirming letter next too. Do Stay in control always without being interrupted or distracted by the others. State your case as calmly as possible, and note this do even repeat it to them especially if they are not listening to you, or if they as usual falsely try to lie to you, try to divert the topics, your complaint now. However, you should always plan to make a telephone call when you are feeling in full control, time to deal with the problem..

..

Have a pen and paper ready in front of you. Take note always of the date and tie time you call, how long you waited before your call was answered, how long you had talked for and the name of the person you spoke to. In the future it might be even helpful for you to monrtstily bill the same firm for wasting your time in their not addressing the problem. That should get their notice now next too and show how serious you are in getting the problems, conflict resolve in an adequate manner now still too.

...

Remember always that when presenting most complaints it takes some time, prepare to be ready for the time to pass, but do know also as to how to handle the false delays. Send them always next with a copy to others a reminder letter, email that you are waiting for an adequate response to your specific complaint for a start.

When any person does experience service or equipment problems, their resulting dissatisfactions, complaints now can be often even more compounded by them not being able to directly firstly to talk to or to deal with anyone that is really helpful about the problem, in a position of authority to do so now, even firstly now without waiting for hours on the telephone for a firm’s initial or subsequent responses - note the delays sometimes this is a deliberate act by the firms to discourage you from initially now making the complaint. The reality thus often still is that you may always need to wait a long while before your phone call is answered and if you can’t now really wait, your next numerous unsuccessful attempts also to speak with someone will ultimately not only waste your time but will also increase your frustration. Anger can be a common reaction the reality that the service and equipment problems that too often are not quickly and effectively solved, or one too often being cut off over and over again, or rather buck passed, transferred to others again and again, or put on hold or the telephone phones are answered by electronically generated voice systems that lyingly promise to return your call now are also rightfully extremely annoying..

..

A common false tactic now used by too many firms, municipalities, services is to try to cut you off the phone or your post , by lyingly finding some excuse to deal with you even like saying that you are rude or what ever. Merely repeat to them calmly your specific request stating that you want to talk to someone that can effectively help you with your specific complaints and can you be passed to that person, manager? If at any time you feel you are becoming upset, cool down, and remind yourself why you are calling, what you are doing. Simply using the free , holding time to write down the basic complaints, details even for their later use if nerd be. Ask for their name, the name of their managers, and their email now as well and tell them you intend to write about it, posting your complaint to others, on the net as well. If they cut you off, a normal course of action from the much too many bad firms and their bad customer service departments these days too now, persist and get a proper mailing address still.

..

Complaining by phone, or face to face generally means there is no undeniable record of the event, even that it had now ever occurred, transpired. Some how many more persons next do tend to be responsive when the see the undeniable complaint in writing, but not always. Thus the Follow up letters are also generally essential. Do always resort to writing letters with copies to the related managers, and your local elected representatives, news media so they too ALL can be informed and ALL CAN act upon it.

..

The problem also with using just the phone to deal with a complaint, is that there is no record of what really has happened especially when the outcomes now are too often mostly negative. Do still understand that there are much too many unrepentant, pretentious firms that hire too many liars to defy the complaints, truths. Even here your witnessed public exposure will help to bring this out into the open, to light so others can deal with it effectively too. No one can deny your own personal witness if detailed in writing now too. The Pen is always mightier than the sword still too these days.

Appropriate disclosures to the right parties, the persons who have the power to make changes, executives, news media, elected officials, regulating bodies too can work wonders next too.

..

A good complaint letter will probably help you to get the best results quicker. A signed written complaint, with at least your full name, address and telephone number is always important, effective even on one made by e-mail. You should receive an adequate, serious written response within a reasonable time period at the most within 30 days at the most if not sooner. It is always best to write a letter to the company outlining your concerns, an email is acceptable as long as you send copies of it to others. Do also Request that they reply to your complaint in writing and keep their letter in case you need it in future.

..

According to Ellen Phillips, author of Shocked, Appalled and Dismayed! How to Write Letters of Complaint, the most effective letters of complaint include some of these five key elements:

Direct a copy of the the letter to the highest-ranking person in the organization as well and to the Consumer and Government Organizations as well:

Construct a strong opening sentence even as to what you want, expect from them, and do sate it to be done within a reasonable period of time too.

Describe the problem complaint concisely and factually including any steps you have already taken

Clearly do also Imply that the company will not only lose your business but hat of many others too for you will share it with them too. Tell them that you also now cannot be sued by anyone of posting or for telling the truth. That you also do welcome any subsequent threats of a lawsuit as it will being the whole matter into the open and give it more much needed publicity too.

Do Place all the responsibility for resolving the complaints with the recipient and their related mangers even for their rightfully blame in their failure to solve the problem you had rightfully addressed to them already too.

If the telephone or internet service provider does not solve your problem you could also contact one of the relevant external complaint-handling agencies: If any of them now do not resolve your problem for you in a way that you are happy with, you can and often should take the process even a step further and all in writing now too, meanwhile also making the whole process publically posted on the internet, available to the news media and the local elected officials will also help to weed out the much too many pretentious pretentious bad regulators as well. I have rightfully followed all this myself too now. The darkness tends to hate the light , being exposed to all.

YOUR RIGHT TO END THE CONTRACT WHEN IT CHANGES. When your contract with your mobile, internet, fixed-line or VoIP (net phone) service provider changes, often you will have a right to end the contract early without having to pay additional fees (eg cancellation or termination fees). Your original contract has been breached, changed if monthly access fees or call rates increase and also if download limits or free monthly call credits have been reduced. Firms that breach a contract can now also expect a penalty payment now to you as well for doing so. See also basic contract laws.

As a consumer, it is often still difficult to know where to go to resolve complaints, disputes, especially if something you have bought goes wrong, the cost of going to court, the hassle, it is often more than your purchase is worth but now there is a much cheaper and often effective approach, use the internet, for all justice is not necessary better handle in the court of laws, and that approach is still full public exposure.

Surface. Sometimes the picture is about the paint itself and what it does, about layers of color that hide under others just barely visible, about color dragged over the pores of the canvas so that it hits the peaks and leaves another layer visible beneath it. This aspect of painting is where the discovery lives for the artist, I think. Paintings unfold in unexpected ways. It's true that you can plan a picture completely beforehand so that you know where all its objects will fall. But an artist would need omniscience to know where his thoughts will take him first. She would have to have a crystal ball to know beforehand how the thing will get woven together, brushstroke by brushstroke.

Is this just an insider's game, or does a dance of surfaces delight the spectator as well? Do tropical colors unfolding in layers make your heart beat faster?

I got to say something fantastic today.

Today was errands day. I left Jack's house at somewhere just before 2pm and set out to accomplish something. I'd spent the morning with Mike, a man from Maine whose role or relation to Jack i'm still unsure about but seems to be very friendly. It figures. He's close with Jack. The guy bought me Tex Mex at one of the local Huntington eats when, after showing up to meet Jack, finding that he'd left for Mass (we assumed) decided that at least something ought to be done with the day and that thing should start with getting acquainted and finding some chow.

Delicious. We retuned home to Jack's place and found that the man has SHAVED OFF HIS BEARD. It threw me so hard I didn't know who was standing in the kitchen at first but sure enough, there he was, apron and oven mitt pulling a chicken leg from the oven and basting it with something incredible. whatever it was it smelled amazing. Mike didn't even notice. I had to say it out loud before he looked twice. I took a picture. I've now got a before and after and the difference is stunning. He actually looks a bit taller and only a few years younger. I can't post the images though. I'm on the library computers and there's no slot for my memory card. But I assure you they're coming soon!

I left the house and went to pick up my lenses from the London optical on the village corner. I'd been waiting for them to come in and got the call Wednesday. My last contact had broken a week earlier and it was time to see again. From there I went to the library, tried again to apply for a library card (last time they told me I needed proof of address for huntington.) I brought in my EcStim check and they told me I'd need TWO proof of address items so I think that next time I'll just overboard it and bring three. I went next door to Chase bank and deposited the check walked down the street to Wachovia and pulled out a twenty, walked back up the block and got a haircut, walked back to the library and got on the computers, checked the email, read some news from Jimmyr.com and began writing this blog post.

I lvoe this little place. I've been busy ALL DAY with various things and everything is within walking distance. I've not traveled more than two blocks total since I parked here!

While I was leaving the barber shop (real italian barbers too! With the accents and the passion and the holding of-a the fingers-a together while-a you talk-a!) ANYWAY, while I was leaving the barber shop I was stopped on the street, right on the sidewalk by some girl and a guy who asked if I'd every considered working at Abercrombie.

I told them. "That is not something you're often asked on the street." They both had a good laugh. I've been asked or told many things on the streets while walking and never been asked if I though about working in retail clothes. I have somewhat of a wilting respect for Abercrombie if for no other reason than the fact that every Saturday I pass their store in the Westbury mall and there's a shirtless guy standing in the venue waiting to greet people as they walk in. None of the mannequines are wearing shirts either. It's like they don't even sell guys shirts. But apparently they do... wouldn't know it. From the advertising direction of the place you'd think all they sold were bleached jeans, loose belts and cut male torsos.

I told them I'd be leaving the country and that I already had a job. They asked to take down my name anyway. I figured I've got nothing against raising the quota's of a couple of recruiters so I gave it to them.

... Constance Rockwell... I don't know what you're doing over there but THREE BLOG POSTS in a DAY? You're going to have to send me your email again because I can't comment on those things without it going to the other one and... can't seem to find where I wrote it down so I don't know. You should know my email right? monsterb0x@hotmail.com

Great. now everyone can eStalk me.

Supposedly I was supposed to go eat something with John today. I'm probably going to give him a call after I leave the library, which... according to the timer at the bottom of the screen should be in about... ten minutes. I've got some other phone calls to make to...

Yesterday a customer wanted to hit me in the face... I didn't blame him, he's been waiting for those darned business cards of his for the past... month? Anyway. Spent an hour and a half the other day recreating the cards in Illustrator. I don't even know how to use illustrator. They looked fantastic though when i finished with them and the resolution was plenty high enough for print. Excellent stuff.

The customer base for optical drives is unqualifiedly tough, as it is defined by tremendous quantities at very high cost pressure. Simple DVD drives don’t set more than a few dollars, and even a decent DVD burner can be purchased for less than $40. At the same time, every additional PC or notebook comes with at least one optical drives, so the entirety of optical drives always equals the amount of systems sold plus x, where x stands for admirer users who want dedicated devices for reading and writing discs, or those who adopt new technology such as Blu-ray rather early. We are talking about 90 million systems only for Europe in 2007 (SonyNEC Optiarc numbers). Clearly, talking about modifying components, the formation other items within the contribute confinement makes a great difference for these guys, even if we’re only talking about few cents per drive.

But there is vacant on the horizon for the industry: With the victory of Blu-ray over the HD DVD, the standard for the future is now set. However, the true breakthrough hasn’t happened yet, and SonyNEC Optiarc believes that it won’t happen this year undeterred by the fact that Verbatim promised to increase production capacity for BD recordables, and consideration the mobile market showing more traction on Blu-ray reading, DVD-writing combo drives than the desktop market. In the late it used to be the other way.

This development is probably the cover because many users prefer to invest some more money into a decent laptop in order to make it future-proof, as it cannot be upgraded as without a hitch as a desktop PC. One reason for the long adoption time could be the slow development to HD television and video in Europe, which obviously requires the high-capacity Blu-ray media. Asia/Pacific and Northamerica are years onward when it comes to watching HD or even FullHD video content. Still, prices have to leave out – and according to SonyNEC Optiarc, they will drop.

The firm expects Blu-ray combo drives, which can look over BDs and write all sorts of DVDs, to reach the $100 border before the Holiday season. Add another $50, and you’ll have the prices SonyNEC Optiarc estimated for slim-line notebook drives. Burners could go for $150-200 then. SonyNEC Optiarc has been more precious than the competitors from Korea, that is LG and Samsung, as it says it maintains a higher quality level and does not want to enter a price fighting in which no one makes money anymore.

The poster you see above is not the original poster of Vicky Cristina Barcelona. It has been modified. A horizontal turn has ocurred so that now Scarlett Johansson is on the right of the poster and Javier Bardem is on the left.

This may seem a trivial and stupid thing to do but let me explain why I think the modification is interesting.

For years I have realised that when I look a person through a glass it looks different. This may happen because maybe I just look to one part of the face so that when looking at the glass I look at the other side.

I feel very happy to explain this effect through this wonderful poster ( I hope nobody minds the modification)

I recommend you look at the original and the modified poster (below it is the original)

I am not certain but as in the languages I write I begin on the left and I

continue on the right I think that when I look at an image I may begin looking on the left.

Then in the original poster Javier Bardem is the first focus of attention followed by two women.

In the modified poster the focus of attention is, for me, Scarlett Johansson and Penélope and Bardem just have a secondary position. So the message is quite different. I wish pople who write hebrew or arabic could say something!

In the modified image Scarlett Johansson does not look the same! In the modified image I pay attention to her eye. In the original image I just look at the lips! AM I CRAZY? AM I IMAGINING THAT I IMAGINE THESE THINGS? ANY ONE THERE HAVING SIMILAR TWILIGHT ZONE EXPERIENCES ...?

Another thing to consider is that in the modified image the heart of Scarlett is closer to the center of the picture. In the original poster the hands of Penélope Cruz are almost touching the heart of Javier Bardem.

For anyone having been in a menage à trois this poster is very good. Scarlett Johansson face says so much about what one feels.

The Dream and the Reality of the All-Optical Network
The all-optical network has been talked about for years, and it is a captivating concept, but one that our research suggests will take many years and billions more dollars of investment to actually achieve. The advantages of all-optical networks are generally recognized to be their greater flexibility in routing and switching optical signals, low cost, zero-interference processing of signals at intermediate nodes, and the elimination of the time, cost, and resources consumed in the optical-electronic-optical (O-E-O) conversion of signals.

The hard fact is that today the all-optical dream is still a goal—not a reality. Even today’s state-of-the-art optical components, equipment, and protocols do not provide a flexible, scalable, and economically viable all-optical solution. The optical communications industry is therefore walking a tightrope trying to keep the costs down while it keeps up with the ever-growing demand for capacity.

While the all-optical network with end-to-end optical components will undoubtedly take years to realize, optical networking engineers today are continuing to tweak, streamline, and optimize their manufacturing processes, transmission technologies, and transport protocols to find ways to match the performance and cost demands of an all-optical infrastructure. These efforts have produced an interesting set of hybrid approaches that are being applied to optical technologies. This report is a study of these hybrid approaches to achieve the benefits of all-optical networking by examining their technology and business prospects.

Insight Research has identified several areas where the hybrid approach to an all-optical network is most evident:

· Carrier Ethernet,

· generalized multi-protocol label switching (GMPLS ),

· reconfigurable add-drop multiplexers (ROADMs), and

· photonic integrated circuits (PICs).

Here is an interesting Optical Illusion for you!! How many black dots do you see?? There are NONE!!

Keep staring at one of the white dots....you will see that it is white and never black...only the ones that you are not directly staring at seem to be "blinking" black or gray. Cool huh??

Who should read this: Readers would be people who have a need to scan and edit the occasional document. SimpleOCR is a freeware optical character recognition program. It provides similar functionality to that of OmniPage.

OmniPage and OmniPage Professional provide expanded features and support.

I do not have a constant need to convert scanned documents into editable text. SimpleOCR lets me do that occasionally without spending a $150 to get started. SimpleOCR exhibits the typical troubles competing commercial optical character recognition (OCR) software has recognizing certain fonts. They make errors like reading an 1 as a l, etc. I don't use OCR software often enough to care. SimpleOCR saves me a ton of time when I do need it.

From the SimpleOCR website:

"If you have a scanner and want to avoid retyping your documents, SimpleOCR is the fast, free way to do it. The SimpleOCR freeware is 100% free and not limited in any way. Anyone can use SimpleOCR for free--home users, educational institutions, even corporate users."

Maybe I don't mention this often enough and if I want people to go the Tip Top Gem store then I certainly should! You are cordially invited to visit the store as there are lots of interesting stones available right now and some of these have never been offered before on auction. Some have never been offered before in any format at all! I would be thrilled if you would click and take a look:
