www.BagsForZaza.blogspot.com has some real beauties up this week, if I do say so myself.  In fact, I just did.  There is something for every gal on your Christmas list, young and old.  For those new to MSJ, this is an adoption fundraiser to bring our daughter home from Colombia.  It started as a family project and has blossomed as we found more people to call family. :o)

The bags and/or purses go up for auction on Tuesday and the highest bidder on Saturday night at 9:00 pm has a little bit more of their Christmas shopping completed.  Purses are the rage, in case you haven't been out of the house lately.  Big bags, handy bags, cutesy bags and just plain versatile bags are IN.

BFZ has also become an addiction for many, but especially my mother.  I truly don't know what she used to do all day long before she was designing award-winning bags... and checking the comments for every single bag dozens of times each day.  She took a sewing break last week, which we have all done in turn, but she had a difficult time knowing that she wouldn't have as many comments to read.  Dad even put a computer in her sewing room, right next to the Singer, for easy access while stitching and ripping out and stitching the beautiful bags.  Such dedication.

The boutique Bona Drag is always on my list when I'm searching for cheeky, vintage-inspired fashion, and I think I've hit the jackpot with this "joke's on you" quartz ring designed by Erica Weiner.

I wanted to share a snippet of a great article in the New York Times about the e-tail war between Amazon and EBay.

Last year, [Amazon] impressed investors with accelerating growth, and its stock price revisited the highs of the dot-com boom, before waning euphoria and market pessimism erased more than half of those gains this year. Mr. Bezos credits Amazon’s tolerance for risky, expensive bets like the Kindle electronic reading device.

“Our willingness to be misunderstood, our long-term orientation and our willingness to repeatedly fail are the three parts of our culture that make doing this kind of thing possible,” he said.

EBay’s recent problems have made Mr. Bezos and his team look like shrewd and patient stewards of the Amazon franchise. And Amazon’s second wind is making eBay look as if it has missed one of the greatest opportunities in the Internet’s short history.

I think there are great learnings in there for all businesses no matter how big and sprawlingly succesfull you are. Always be restless. Question everything. Never take success for granted.

If you read my comment from that previous blog post, you know that I'm not the most avid of Croc fans and I question their contribution to fashionable footwear. Regardless, I felt OK getting these things since I wasn't really paying for them. On top of that, I didn't go with a traditional Croc. Instead, I bought the ones you see here.

Yeah, way cuter than the original Croc and they provide a good bit of comfort. And I can actually walk in them, unlike clown Crocs.

After I got them home, I tried them on with a pair of dress pants just to see what they would look like. As afraid as I am to admit it, they might be passable for work as long as my pants are long enough.

So now I'm going to take a chance on a pair of YOU by Crocs that I found on Piperlime.com. Since the return shipping is free, I figure it worth a shot. I think these shoes are pretty sassy and I've been eyeing them for a while but in the past, the price was not in my range. Now they are. Go me!

As a good will gesture, I'm going to clean out the closet and donate a bunch of shoes. (Hopefully the hubby read that.)

I recently ordered from Sephora.com. Their customer service is great, and shipping is super fast. Here are the products I bought and what I think of them.

Up first, Anastasia's Clear Brow Gel. First off, let me just tell you that I have some crazy wild eyebrows. They are thick, long, and never stay in place!! My solution has forever been brow gel. I usually just use clear gel mascara. After reading positive online reviews about Anastasia' Clear Brow Gel, I decided to give it a whirl. It smells amazing, let me tell you. I think I will just stick to my Maybelline Clear Gel Mascara for everyday wear, and maybe use the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel on occasion.

Next, I bought the Sephora Brand Whitening Pencil. Since I don't wear nail polish (except maybe during that time of the month) I wanted something to give me the look of a french mani without using actual polish. With this product, simply apply it underneath your nail tips for an extra fresh and polished look. For 4 dollars, this is not a bad buy.

Lastly I bought Gwen Stefani's new L.A.M.B. Fragrance in the rollerball. It comes in the cutest and most exotically colorful little bottle, and smells ah-mazing!!! It slips right into my purse, which I love. Definitely a nice fragrance which I would recommend. 

I also picked out 3 sample items, curtesy of Sephora. One of them that I chose was the new Gucci frangrance. It comes in the tiniest and cutest little pink bottle! I love it!!

So that's all for now. I noticed that I haven't really been doing any fashion posts lately...inshAllah I will have a few new looks for you within the next few days.

I stumbled across the Fred Flare website a few weeks ago, and I'm still obsessed. I can't believe I never visited before. It has the best gifts and accessories, and way more retro toys than Urban Outfitters, at way more affordable prices. Right now I'm such a fan of these Laroche sunglasses, and they're only $11! I'd buy them now, but the shipping and handling is probably about that much, so I'm waiting until I can buy some Christmas gifts and lump the extra costs together. Play around and see what you find: I promise you you'll be bookmarking every other page.

DKNY's partner line with Rachel Bilson -- Edie Rose -- has received a ton of publicity lately, but it seems the collection can finally be shopped on the DKNY Jeans website. I'm not at all a fan of the look that Rachel wears in the promos, but I do love the black jeans and the Tuxedo Jacket, at left. It's only $79.99 and has that equestrian shape to it in the back that you know I love. The piping is a little reminiscent of the Balenciaga jacket that started the whole trend (and knock-offs) in the first place, but it's not like Balenciaga invented piping period.

Most of the other pieces in Rachel/DKNY's collection is pretty simple: black fitted dresses, skinny belts, cropped black sweaters and jackets, and oh, did I mention black jeans? The only color is yellow, which was inspired by one of Rachel's yellow scarves, according to DKNY.

Celebrity fashion lines always seem a little silly, but I've always been a sucker for Rachel's looks, so I may have to go in for this blazer. What about you?

Their shipping is very slow. So if your are an impatient chica like me, then you will get frustrated. It took about a month and a half for me to get my stuff. I ordered the Saudi Overhead Abaya (50 bucks ya'll) and the Medium 3 Layer Flip Niqab. Was I pleased? Not really. The overhead abaya was too small! I am about 5'4 (yea, I'm tall-I know) and the dress did not even reach my ankles. So their size chart was wrong.

I ordered my niqab with no string and netting, and it came with both. I got hella angry, so I cut out the netting and string and it looked half way decent. I tried it on and was not a happy camper. The quality is not bad, but the eyeslits are too small for my liking. And the fliped fabric kept sliding into my eyes (the material for them is real slippery). The overall quality of the niqab is okay, but the overhead is not at all like the picture. It is a dull black made with starchy material.

Anyways, since I had already altered the niqab with my amateur cutting job, lol, I decided I wanted to return the abaya. Fat chance, cuz their site says no returns or exchanges due to ordering the wrong size. Anyways, I still have the overhead abaya and my cousin says she will take it, with her lucky 5'2 self!!

I like the niqab a little, I'll probably wear it one day inshAllah, but it's not the best. I spent eighty dollars total and I feel like the whole thing was a rip off. There are a couple of other abayas and niqabs I really want from E.O.B., but as you can probably guess, I'm a bit hesitant to do so.

Soo, now you have read moi opinion, and if you have ordered from them, please do share your experience (whether it's good or bad), with the rest of us! And now for my rating, I give this site 2 stars.

I wanted to sell bags, pouches and organizers that are not only trendy, hip and cool but very functional as well. I inteded to come up with two collections for the launch: the Hip Trip and the Music In Me collections.
