Questo Media Center PC ha lo schermo ampio e luminoso, da 21.6 pollici LCD (1680 × 1050 pixel), il processore Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 a 2.53 Ghz, fino a 2GB di Ram, fino a 500GB di hard drive e DVD multi drive.

Presente anche il multi card reader, la webcam da 1.3 Megapixel nella cornice e, per l’appunto, il dock per iPod.
Completano il quadro la tastiera e il mouse ottico e due speaker da 8W Onkyo ad alta qualità. E7 Series debutterà in Giappone a 1100 euro circa.

Onkyo has added to the THX products it introduced in July by releasing a pair of "top-of-the-line" Ultra2 Plus receivers that are much pricier than the earlier lines. The TX-SR876 and TX-NR906, which are designed to perform in large rooms, cost $1,799 and $2,299 respectively and offer 7.1-channel surround sound, new Loudness Plus processing and other high-end features, according to Onkyo. 「埋めちゃお」

ということで、サウンドカードを追加。必要なのは2ch再生機能のみ、入力も要らない。また、私のPCではロープロファイルのカードしか使えない。

人気が高くハイスペックなEGOSYS Audiotrak PRODIGY HD2 ADVANCEも魅力的だったけれど、コチラを選んでしまった。

ONKYO SE-90PCI。（今、Made in Japanというのも何となく嬉しい）

NE5532やシルミックⅡ、カーボン抵抗といった「80年代かよ？」と突っ込みたくなるような部品選択。
シンメトリカル・レイアウトや銅製バスバーなどの演出も楽しいが・・・多層基板を使ったPCI拡張基板でやったところで実質的な効果はまず無いけど、気持ちは通じた。（笑）

音質は、NE5532やシルミックⅡのクセが強く出て、予想通り少し古臭い（笑）。でも安心できる音でもある。鮮烈な音を求めるならEGOSYSを選んだ方がシアワセかもしれないが、SE-90PCIのしっとりした音は好きだ。

先日導入したSRS-ZX1（アクティブ･スピーカー）は入力部でA/D変換してしまい、その後、思いっきり複雑な信号処理をするので、サウンド・カードに拘っても大きな変化は望めないかとも思ったが、M/Bオンボード端子との接続に比べて遙かにグレードが高いことは分かる。だが、シルミックⅡ独特のベチャッとしたキャラクターは、ZX1のクリアネスを若干スポイルしているようにも思う。ま、ムキになるレベルではないけど。

このカードは部品の交換が比較的容易なので好みの部品に載せ替える人も居るようだ。
（もちろんONKYOはそんな事を推奨していない）
私は、少なくとも当面はノーマルのままで、オリジナルの優れたバランス（と、古臭い音＾＾；）を味わいたいと思う。

それにしてもこのカードの発売は3年前、それが仕様は不変のまま未だに現行モデル・・・というのはちょっと凄い。
ONKYOという、安心感の漂う有名オーディオ国内ブランドということだけでなく、「2ch再生音質に拘りました」という分かりやすいメッセージ、投資した結果として得られる実際の音質が素晴らしいからこそ、多くの人に受け入れられ、息の長い商品になっているのだろう。

エレクトロニクス界で最も動きの激しいPC周辺機器領域でこの息の長さと、凛とした存在感は貴重かもしれない。

さて、とりあえず、PCでのスピーカー環境構築はこれにて終了。
メインのオーディオシステムの音には遠く及ばないものの、狭いPC作業部屋でこの質感と量感は、十分過ぎる収穫だ。

Quindi con un amplificatore Onkyo acquistato presso di noi avete diritto all'assistenza per due anni nel centro assistenza di Palermo, se abitate a Palermo, oppure a Milano se abitate a Milano e così via..
2-3 centri assistenza in ogni le provincia d'ITALIA.

Tutti i prodotti senza garanzia Ufficiale ITALIA non hanno questo tipo di assistenza su tutto il terrritorio nazionale ma godono SOLO della garanzia presso il rivenditore. Quindi se siete di Bergamo e avete acquistato da un negozio on line di Catanzaro per ottenere la garanzia dovete rispedire il prodotto a Catanzaro con spese di trasporto (andata e ritorno) e rischi vari (rottura, pacco perso, tempi di spedizione ) a carico vostro.

Altro svantaggio sono i tempi di riparazione di certo più lunghi basandosi su centri assistenza esteri, senza contare poi che un negozio può chiudere, cambiare sede, ragione sociale annullando quindi ogni vostro diritto.

Ecco la mia "modesta" saletta dedicata al cinema in casa. Sono da sempre appassionato di cinema e dell'home cinema, del buon home cinema, non ho grandi cose però pian piano sono riuscito a mettere insieme dei buoni componenti. 4 anni fa ho prese i diffusori della Mission, una marca inglese, la serie M3: due M30 per gli effetti sorround, due M34 per gli effetti anteriori, un centrale M3c1 e un piccolo subwofer della serie precedente. Il tutto abbinato ad un sintoamplificatore della Onkyo, una buona marca, un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.
L'anno scoso sono passato all'LCD dopo anni di Tubo catodico (un buon Panasonic Quintrix 32 16/9), ho aspettato perchè la qualità degli LCD non mi soddisfava fino ai modelli del 2007, sinceramente avrei preso il plasma della Panasonic ma fa solo i 42 pollici (con una cornice molto larga), troppo grande, così ho preso il 40 pollici LCD della Samsung, serie F, FullHD con Digitale Terrestre e predisposizione per la SmartCam. Per completare l'opera ho preso la PS3 40 Gb collegando la parte video in HDMI alla TV e la parte audio con cavo ottico al sintoamplificatore. La resa con le trasmissioni TV standard non è male anche se si vede che sono segnali SD, Standard Definition; la situazione migliora con il digitale terrestre ma per capire le potenzialità del segnale HD bisogna inserire un Blu-Ray nella PS3. Con segnali a 1080p la resa è spettacolare, veramente un altro mondo, colori accesi, immagine definita, audio ancora più brillante e preciso. Per ora il Blu-Ray è in fase iniziale, non ci sono moltissimi titoli nè in vendita nè a noleggio, i titoli in vendita sona anche molto cari e infatti ne ho acquistati solo 4 (300, Die Hard 4, Ratatouille e The day after tomorrow)... ho la fortuna di avere una videoteca vicino case che nolegga 20/25 titoli Blu-Ray puntando molto su questo formato. Adesso che nasce Sofia il volume dell'impianto sarà tra lo 0 e le 2/3 tacche... è meglio se vado a cercarmi delle buone cuffie!

Sony, Samsung, Motorola, Sharp and Hitachi are scheduled today to announce a major consortium to create a standard involving the technology of Israeli firm Amimon called Wireless Home Digital Interface, which is designed to enable all wireless devices in a home through a single set-top box. Today Mom and I started researching and shopping for a new home theater system for her den. We started by going to Circuit City and looking/listening to the available receivers and speaker systems they had available. After browsing through the department we wrote down information on two receivers, Onkyo and Denon systems that met her requirements, and three speaker systems that included Polk Audio and Bose.

The second store we visited was Padgitt's which is a locally owned home entertainment retailer that has been in Waco since 1888. Their inventory is limited and tends to lean toward the high end. Their choices of receivers were Yamaha and Sony ES systems. While the Sony ES is an excellent receiver, I think that this is too much for what Mom needs in her home.
