Convertir entre APE FLAC MP3 MPC OGG MP4 AAC en ubuntu

A pesar de que las conversiones entre formatos con pérdida (OGG, MP3, ACC ó MP4) no se recomiendan (ver tutorial de tipos de ficheros de Audio), a menudo necesitamos realizar estas conversiones para poder escuchar las canciones en nuestro reproductor de MP3, iPod o simplemente en nuestro móvil como tono de llamada. De ahí que muchas veces la calidad pase a segundo plano y lo que realmente es nos interesa es convertirlo, a cualquier precio. Veamos cómo hacerlo de forma sencilla en ubuntu.Primero debemos saber que una conversión de un formato con pérdida a otro con pérdida pasando por un formato sin pérdida (por ejemplo convertir un OGG a WAV y dicho WAV a MP3) tendrá la misma calidad que convertir entre los dos formatos con pérdida directamente (de OGG a MP3), por tanto podemos usar WAV o FLAC como formato intermedio para convertir ficheros.

La conversión entre OGG MP3 WAV y FLAC se realiza de forma sencilla en modo gráfico con el Sound Converter:

$ sudo apt-get install soundconverter

pero si ya queremos utilizar los formatos APE y MP4 (M4A ó ACC), la cosa se complica. Para estas tareas vamos a utilizar Gnormalize, un programa bastante completo que nos permite ripear con soporte CDDB, reproducir y convertir entre los distintos formatos con la opción de normalizar (aumentar volumen al máximo).

Instalamos el paquete del Monkey’s Audio para Debian para poder manejar el formato APE.

$ sudo dpkg -i mac-3.99-u4_b3-1_i386.deb

Instalamos todos los codecs y players que Gnormalize necesita:
$ sudo apt-get install flac faac faad lame mpg123 mpg321 madplay mplayer vorbis-tools

Descargamos Gnormalize de aquí
Descomprimimos e instalamos gnormalize

$ sudo ./install

Contestamos a la mayoría de preguntas que no, ya que los codecs los hemos instalado previamente, aunque nos puede interesar instalar Audio-CD, CDDB-get, MP3 info y WaveGain si tenemos pensado normalizar.
Ejecutamos gnormalize

$ gnormalize

La ventana de estado debe mostrar el texto "gnormalize (version)", de otro modo nos avisará de que faltan algunos paquetes y alguna funcionalidad no estará disponible.

Ya sólo falta, desde la pestaña DATA, seleccionar el directorio de entrada, el de salida y el formato de salida (MP3, MP4, MPC, OGG, APE, FLAC o WAV). Gnormalize nos convertirá todos los archivos compatibles que encuentre en el directorio al formato de salida seleccionado. Recordad que los AAC son lo mismo que los M4A y que los MP4 audio, así que sólo hay que cambiarles la extensión en caso de que nuestro reproductor externo lo requiera.

Memperingati OGG pada zaman Rasulullah s.a.w

TIDAK lama selepas Rasulullah s.a.w menyeru teman-teman se-Usrahnya (Sabiqul Awwalin) melaksanakan dakwah Islamiyyah secara terbuka, aktiviti dakwah Islamiyyah telah menggamit perhatian masyarakat musyrikin Makkah. (15:94, 26:214-215,15:89,111:1)

Mereka hairan, bagaimana seorang anak muda bergelar al-Amin ini boleh membina generasi tarbawi yang hebat - Sabiqul Awwalin?

Pengikut-pengikut Rasulullah s.a.w terdiri oleh golongan hamba, orang miskin dan mustad’afin, golongan berniaga sampailah hartawan-bangsawan.

Namun, mereka ini ditarbiyyah - (1)Ilmu (kefahaman); (2)sifat (sabar dan ikhtiyar), dan (3)iltizam (dakwah Islamiyyah) hatta mereka sangat yakin dengan janji-janji Allah.

Begitulah yang dapat dilihat pada batang tubuh Rasulullah s.a.w dan para Sahabat r.ahum; terutama menjelang musim Haji di Makkah.

Ini kerana walaupun pada zaman Jahillyah, Makkah masih menerima kunjungan pada pengunjung Haji sebagai meneruskan syariat yang ditinggalkan oleh Nabi Ibrahim a.s (syariat ini telah terpesong secara akidah dan syariah).

Musim Haji tersebut sudah tentu dinanti-nantikan oleh Rasulullah s.a.w. untuk melancarkan OGG (maksud: dakwah Islamiyyah).

Kemasukan freshes (rujuk: pengunjung Haji) ke Makkah perlu didekati (didakwah) agar mereka ini kembali hidup dalam acuan agama Allah.

Melihat inisiatif Rasulullah s.a.w dan para Sahabat r.ahum tersebut, mendorong gangster-gangster Makkah melancarkan fitnah, kekerasan fizikal hatta ancaman ke atas batang tubuh Rasulullah s.a.w dan Sabiqul Awwalin yang sabar serta istiqamah mendukung dakwah Islamiyyah.

Al-Walid bin al-Mughirah telah mengumpulkan para pemimpin pro Asobiyyah (maksud: mempertahankan hak kaumnya/pihaknya walaupun terpaksa menzalimi pihak lain) yang anti perjuangan dakwah Islamiyyah oleh Rasulullah s.a.w untuk menyekat dominasi dakwah Islamiyyah.

“Kamu hendaklah bersepakat, jangan bertelingkah dan jangan berlainan pendapat sehingga bercanggah sesama sendiri dalam memperkatakan tentang Muhammad,” aluan oleh al-Walid.

Salah seorang pemimpin pro Asobiyyah mulai bersuara, “Beritahulah kepada kami pendapat kamu terlebih dahulu.

Al-Walid berpandangan bahawa kepemimpinan yang hadir patut terlebih dahulu memberi pandangan supaya beliau dapat mendengar dan menimbang cadangan-cadangan tersebut.

“Kita katakan dia (Nabi Muhammad s.a.w) ini ahli nujum??!!”

Al-Walid bersuara, “Tidak munasabah. Demi Allah tidak sama sekali (masyarakat akan percaya). Kita semua (sebelum ini) pernah lihat ahli nujum. Dia bukannya bermentera atau bersajak seperti ahli nujum.”

“Kita katakan (fitnah) dia orang gila??!!” pemimpin lain pula mengutarakan pendangan.

Al-Walid sekali lagi berhujah, “Tidak! Dia bukannya orang gila; kerana kita mengenali sifat orang gila sedangkan dia tidak meracau dan meronta-ronta seperti orang gila.”

“Bagaimana pula jika kita menuduhnya sebagai penyair??!!”

Al-Walid sekali lagi menyatakan pertimbangannya, “Tidak! Kerana dia bukannya penyair kerana kita semua (telahpun) ketahui bagaimana ucapan penyair-penyair. Bagaimanakah tuduhan ini boleh berkesan menghalang perjuangannya. Jelas dia (pasti tidak dianggap) bukan penyair!”

“Kita katakan dia ini ahli sihir!!??”

“Tidak! dia bukan ahli sihir kerana kita semua pernah melihat ahli sihir dan sihiran mereka, tiupan, dan simpulan telah dilakukan oleh mereka; sedangkan Muhammad tidak (pernah) melakukan (perbuatan) sedemikian,” rasional al-Walid.

Al-Walid mulai mengerut dahi dan matanya tajam merenung lalu bersuara.

“Sesungguhnya demi Allah, kata-katanya sungguh indah dan menarik. Segala tuduhan yang kamu sebut itu tidak tepat, tetapi pendapat yang paling tepat (boleh diterima) ialah kita katakan dia itu ahli sihir; kerana kesan ucapannya seperti sihir; Kerana ajarannya memecah-belah anak dan ayah, suadara-mara, suami-isteri (hatta) seseorang dengan keluarganya (masyarakat).

Semua pemimpin bersetuju dan bersurai. Mereka sedia melakukan apa sahaja – propaganda, ancam, bertindak kasar dll demi menghalang OGG (dakwah Islamiyyah) Rasulullah s.a.w dan para Sahabat r.a.hum yang mendukung perjuangannya.

Ketika Rasulullah dan para Sahabat r.ahum mendekati freshes (pengunjung Haji), gangster Makkah menghalang dakwah Rasulullah s.a.w tanpa adab dan segan-silu. (74:11-16)

Abu Jahal laknatuLlah ‘alaih umpanya, tanpa segan silu mencemuh Rasulullah s.a.w.

“Jangan kamu mengikuti Dia (Nabi Muhammad s.a.w) kerana dia itu menyeleweng dari agama dan pembohong.”

Cuba cermati riwayat Abdullah bin ‘Amru bin al-‘As r.a sebagaimana di bawah:

...ketika Nabi Muhammad s.a.w bersolat di Kaabah, ‘Aqabah bin Abi Mu’it datang (lalu) mencekik Rasulullah s.a.w dengan bajunya (riwayat lain: dengan tali). Kemudian datang Abu Bakar (as-Siddiq) memegang pundaknya (‘Aqabah bin Abi Mu’it) sambil menolaknya daripada Rasulullah s.a.w dan (lalu) berkata berkata: mengapa Engkau hendak membunuh manusia yang mengaku dan mengucap ‘Tuhanku ialah Allah s.w.t’...”

Cuba cermati juga riwayat Abdullah bin ‘Umar r.a sebagaimana di bawah:

...Ketika Nabi (Muhammad s.a.w) sedang sujud bersolat di tengah-tengah puak Qurasy, datang ‘Aqabah bin Abi Mu’it membawa najis sembelihan (lalu) melempar ke atas belakag Rasulullah s.a.w; menyebabkan Rasulullah s.a.w tidak mengangkat kepalanya dari sujud sehingga datang Puterinya Fatimah r.a.ha membuang najis-najis tersebut sambil bertanya kepada Ali karramaLlahuwajhah: Siapakah yang melakukan sedemikian (kepada Rasululllah s.a.w)?”

OGG pada waktu tersebut bukan sahaja menyaksikan Rasulullah s.a.w sahaja yang dianugerahkan ujian hebat daripada Allah s.w.t yang Maha Pengasih lagi Maha Penyayang, malah teman-teman seUrah (Sabiqul Awwalin) yang ditarbiyyah oleh Rasulullah s.a.w juga berdepan pelbagai fitnah, layanan kasar hatta ancaman.

Cuba cermati Hadith Bukhari yang diriwayatkan oleh Khabab bin Al-‘Arat r.a sebagaimana di bawah:

Aku datang menemui Rasulullah s.a.w. Baginda s.a.w sedang meletakkan kepalanya berbaring berbantalkan pakaiannya di bawah lindungan Ka’bah. Pada waktu itu, kami sedang mengalami penyiksaan yang sangat hebat. Lantas aku berkata kepada Rasulullah s.a.w: Ya Rasulullah, mengapa tidak Tuan berdoa kepada Allah untuk kita semua? Baginda Rasulullah s.a.w bangun dan duduk dengan muka yang merah lalu berkata: Sesungguhnya mereka yang terdahulu daripada kamu pernah diganyang dengan penyakar-penyakar besi hingga ke tulang dan urat sadar, tetapi sebutir bijirin pun mereka tidak berganjak dan ada pula dalam kalangan mereka dibelah kepala dengan gergaji namun demikian mereka tetap juga tidak berganjak dari pendirian mereka. Biarlah Tuhan sempurna perkara ini (agama Islam) sehingga manusia berjalan dari San’a’ ke Hadratulmaut tidak akan gentar dan takut sesuatu pun kecuali Allah s.w.t...”

Lihat Tarbiyyah Rasulullah ke atas para Sahabat r.a.hum melalui OGG pada musim Haji tersebut. Lihat hasil (1)kefahaman yang sejahtera telah membentu (2)sifat berani berdepan dalam melaksanakan dakwah hatta menyebarakkan (3)sifat iltizam dan keyakinan dengan pertolongan dan janji-janji Allah.

SubhanaLlah! OGG tahun ke-11 Nubuwwah menyaksikan 6 orang Khazraj telah menerima dakwah Islamiyyah dan tarbiyyah daripada Rasulullah s.a.w. Mereka yang mulia itu adalah:

(1)As’ad bin Zurarah;

(2)’Auf bin Harith bin Rifa’ah bin ‘Afra’;

(3)Rafi’ bin Malik bin ‘Ajlan;

(4)Qhutbah bin ‘Amir bin Hudhaibah;

(5)’Uqbah bin ‘Amir bin Nabi; dan

(6)Jabir bin Abdullah bin Ri’ab

SubhanaLlah! OGG tahun ke-12 Nubuwwah menyaksikan sesuatu yang lebih penting iaitu berlangsungnya Bai’ah al-‘Aqabah al-Uula. Seramai 12 orang telah bersedia untuk ditarbiyyah dan sanggup menjalankan dakwah Islamiyyah bersama-sama Rasulullah s.a.w. Mereka yang mulia itu adalah:

(1)Mu’adz bin al-Harith;

(2)Zakuan bin Abdul Qis;

(3)’Ubadah bin as-Samit;

(4)Yazid bin Tha’labah;

(5)al-Abbas bin ‘Ubadah Nadlah;

(6)Abu al-Haitham bin al-Taihan (Aus); dan

(7)’Uwaim bin Sa’idah (Aus).

Kecuali Jabir bin Abdullah bin Ri’ab, kesemua mereka yang pernah menemui Rasulullah s.a.w dalam OGG tahun ke-11 Nubuwwah.

Rasulullah s.a.w sendiri telah mengutuskan Naqib al-Nuqaba’, Mus’ab bin ‘Umair telah diutuskan pulang ke Yatrib bersama-sama 12 freshes (maksud: Sabiqul Awwalin) tersebut untuk melaksanakan usrah dan tarbiyyah di bumi bertuah Yatrib.

SubhanaLlah! OGG tahun ke-13 Nubuwwah menyaksikan Bai’ah al-Aqabah ath-Thani. Kali ini, angka tersebut bertambah ramai.

Malah Rasulullah s.a.w sendiri telah melantik 12 orang dalam kalangan para Sahabat r.ahum yang datang dan bertemu Rasulullah s.a.w tahun tersebut. Mereka yang dilantik sebagai Naqib Usrah adalah:

Tidak perlulah kita berkecil hati andai kita dicela, dihina, dicerca dan difitnah kerana sesungguhnya Rasulullah s.a.w dan para Sahabat r.ahum juga telah menerima sedemikian rupa.

Banner-banner dakwah Islamiyyah kita baru dicuri dan dimusnahkan; sedangkan batang tubuh Rasulullah s.a.w telah dikasari hatta dilukai.

Kepemimpinan kita baru dicemuh dan difitnah oleh bloggers tertentu dalam OGG kampus; sedangkan Rasulullah s.a.w setiap detik diburu dan diancam kerana mengatakan Rabbuna RabbunaLlah [maksud: Tuhan kami (adalah) Allah].

Marilah kita berdoa dan bertawakal kepada Allah setalah kita bertungkus-lumus merencana dan melancarkan dakwah ilaLLah di kampus. Sesungguhnya, jalan kita ini sepatutnya digerakkan atas pendidikan kefahaman (maksud: Usrah dan tarbiyyah), bukan lantunan perasaan dan darah 'muda' mahasiswa semata-mata.

Ayuh GMI, jadikan OGG kali ini pemangkin dakwah Islamiyyah di kampus selepas ini.

Biar spirit OGG kali ini tidak terhenti setakat menjemput freshes dan senior sesi kemasukan kali ini sahaja, tetapi terus subur dan berdenyut dalam pembuluh darah setiap aktivis GMI.

Klein aber oho: "CoolPlayer+ Portable" ist ein funktioneller Mediaplayer für unterwegs.

"CoolPlayer+ Portable" spielt MP3-, WAV- und OGG-Vorbis-Dateien ab. Er besitzt einen Playlist-Editor, einen ID-Tagger und schafft es MP3- in WAV-Dateien umzuwandeln. Die Software ist perfekt dazu geeignet, auf einem USB-Datenträger installiert und von einem beliebigen Rechner aus gestartet zu werden. Dabei basiert die Software auf dem CoolPlayer.

Mi primera semana con Linux

Hola a todos...

Pues hago este tema para comentarles como me ha ido con Linux, especificamente con Ubuntu y Kubuntu en mi primera semana de uso de estas distribuciones Linux...

La verdad yo conoci de la existencia de Linux hace 2 años, cuando en la Facultad de Ciencias económicas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Mi facultad y mi universidd XD), se hizo el "Gran quematon" de Software Libre. Yo ya conocia de software libre unas semanas antes, y ya usaba Firefox, Thunderbird, entre otros... Pero no conocía Linux...

Decidi quemar en discos Ubuntu 7.10, Kubuntu 7.10 y OpenSuse 10 (Creo), pero no pude instarlos en mi PC porque ocurrieron varias cosas, de hecho llegue a pensar que mi PC no quería que instalara Linux XD (Luego les cuento todo lo que sucedio)

En fin, dado que hace poco salieron las versiones 8.04 de Ubuntu y Kubuntu, decidi volver a Intentar en mi PC instalarlos, primero en una unidad virtual lo cual no funciono, y luego con sus LiveCd que presentaron muchos problemas...

Sin embargo, algo que hoy agradezco es la creación de Wubi, que es un software que permite instalar Ubuntu, Kubuntu o Xubuntu desde Windows de una forma sencilla (Cuando lean el post con los problemas que tuve hace dos años, verán porque agradezco que exista Wubi)

Primero instale Ubuntu con 5GB, pero lo notaba demasiado lento y se bloqueaba con todo; luego instale Kubuntu y lo note muy rápido, mucho mas que Ubuntu, pero luego de varisa pruebas se puso lento...

Después desinstale Kubuntu via Wubi y volvi a instalarlo con mas capacidad 7GB, y la verdad me gustó mucho, sin embargo, en ocasiones se ponía lento...

Finalmente, y luego de leer una "explicación Linuxera para usuarios Windoleros" (Soy orgullosamente Windolero), decidi volver a instalar Ubuntu con 10GB de capacidad, y hasta hoy me ha dejado sorprendido...

Kubuntu y Ubuntu me gustan mucho, pero dado el estado de mi PC dejaré Ubuntu, ya que es mas rápido que Windows, es mas seguro, y muchas de sus aplicaciones las usaba también en Windows (Pidgin/AMSN, OpenOffice, GIMP, Keepass (KeepassX), VLC, MPlayer, entre otros)...

Me sorprende de Ubuntu su velocidad, casi no se bloquea (Digo casi porque de vez en cuando se ralentiza un poco), es aparentemente compatible con todo mi hardware, todo lo que he decidido usar en ubuntu funciona a la perfección, y la verdad es agradable su uso...

Me encanta su sistema de actualizaciones, ya que es rápido y no ralentiza el PC, además entra al sistema mucho mas rápido y es facil de usar.

La forma como se instalan nuevos programas mediante "Agregar o quitar programas" es sencilla y muy útil, me agrada sobre todo porque esto era algo a lo que le temia (No saber como usarlo)

En fin, Ubuntu me parece una excelente opción, que usaré a partir de esta semana

Claro, aunque Ubuntu me gusta, no me parece perfeecto, y aún no tiene cosas que uso en Windows comunmente, por ejemplo el RPG Maker XP...

Con Ubuntu y Kubuntu he tenido problemas con mis puertos USB delanteros, por lo que debo recurrir a los traseros (Solo conectarlo es complicado, pues el escritorio es muy estrecho), además tengo problemas para reproducir Midis... Sin embargo, lo que mas me afecta de Linux es que no corra el RPG MAker XP bien, ni siquiera con Wine; y lo peor de todo es que no hay ninguna opción libre que lo sustituya...

Igual, creo que esos problemas (SAlvo el RPG MAker XP) puedo solucionarlos viendo una guía a fondo de Linux, o buscando información en foros y demás, además me falta mucho por aprender y acostumbrarme a este sistema operativo, pero lo usare lo mas que pueda y seguro así aprendere a usarlo; pero claro, no abandonaré Windows XP, no solo porque lo necesito sino porque también me gusta...

Siendo así, dejaré 10GB para Ubuntu (Dejaría mas, pero Wubi no me lo permite) y el resto para Windows XP, la verdad tanto Windows XP como ubuntu me gustan, pero dedicaré Ubutu a mis estudios y algo de entretenimiento, y Windows para todo lo demás que hago...

On a different note. I have been messing with audio stuff lately... and I think that my EM-Zen project will actually become true.

Just to fill anyone in on whats up with EM-Zen.

EM-Zen is an audio album project that I thought of about three weeks ago or so... maybe a bit longer... regardless... the EM stands for Electromagnetic so the full title would be "Electromagnetic-Zen". I have no idea what the entire album is going to be like... it will just grow as I actually complete stuff.

This entire album will cover different styles of music though it won't be very wide in genre. Mostly because I don't have that many resources as of now... and one of my resources is not fully usable quality wise. So far here is what I'm going to be using.

My Nintendo DS - I need to get a cable so I can record sounds from it directly

FamiTracker - A tracker program that uses the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) chipset is free

Reaper - Nice sound editing program that is free

Audacity - Possibly I'm not sure yet...

Thats it for now. I will do an update list when I actually get to add more stuff to my until them... I will leave you with this recording I did with my DS and Electroplankton. Electroplankton - Luminaria

I don't have an mp3 recording of its only in ogg. Just because I didn't feel like encoding in mp3 format. If you want to play it I suggest getting Xmplay or Winamp for Windows users. If you are using Linux then you should already have a player that can read that format natively. Well... I'm done for now. Peace.

Es ist soweit! Ich arbeite an meinem ersten eigenen kleinen Script.

Es lädt mit Hilfe von youtube-dl Videos von Youtube runter unter wandelt sie mit ffmpeg2theora in das freie ogg/theora-Format um.

Das ganze ist noch sehr experimentell. Benutung also (wie immer) auf eigene Gefahr!!

Debian-Pakete sind auch schon da. Ich werde aber vorerst nicht versuchen, es in irgendwelche Repos zu bekommen. Dazu ist die Qualität eindeutig noch zu schlecht. Sie sind im oben genannten Thread zu finden.

Quizas tengas un iPod y quieres ripear tus CD’s de audio en formato MP3 pero por defecto SoundJuicer los guarda como .ogg. Este es el formato libre. La verda se escucha mucho mejor que MP3 pero lamentablemente los iPods no reproduce los archivos .ogg.

Para eso tenemos que hacer que SoundJuicer nos guarde los MP3 como deben ser, osea MP3. Pero dentro de las opciones de SoundJuicer, no esta la opcion de grabar como MP3. Para esto tenemos que hacer lo siguiente:

1. Ve a Synaptic, Sistema/Administracion/Gestor de paquetes synaptics.

2. Busca gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse. Cuando aparesca le das un click derecho y click en “Marcar para Instalar”. Luego damos click en “Aplicar”.

3. Luego vamos abrir SoundJuicer, Aplicaciones/ Sonido y Video/Extractor de Sonido de CD, Luego ve a Editar/Preferencias y en la nueva ventana, donde dice Formato pones “Calidad de CD, MP3 (MP3 Audio)”

Esto es todo. De ahora en adelante podras ripear tus MP3 y dejarlos en su mismo formato.

Audacity - Free Multiplatform Audio Recorder/Editor

Several months back, I needed to record 20 minutes of streaming audio from the Internet, and since I am not an audio hobbyist, and have limited experience recording using my computer, I simply launched Windows Sound Recorder and sat back to watch it do it’s job. I thought!

No such luck. I was surprised to learn the maximum recording time on Sound Recorder is only 30 seconds, which was far too short for my purpose.

A mad scramble to find a freeware/open source replacement for Windows Sound Recorder led me to Audacity which, as it turns out, is the most popular free, open source audio editor/ recorder available. It works with many operating systems, including Windows, Mac, GNU, and Linux.

Audacity has a surprisingly easy to use interface, and I found it to be feature-rich and flexible. The first thing that struck me on launching the program was, it advised me I had several hundred hours of available space on my drives in which to record. Not 30seconds!

Audacity has the capacity to handle multi-track editing, a good number of audio effects including reverb, delay, compression, echo, phaser, wahwah and reverse. Its audio export functions include MP3, OGG, AIFF, and WAV and more.

One of the more interesting features, for me, is Audacity’s capacity to convert tapes and records into digital recordings. I have a large collection of old 60’s and 70’s albums that I have many times considered converting to digital recordings and burning to CD’s. I now have the application to do just that. Now, if I can only find the time!

System Requirements: Windows 98/Me/2000/XP

Convertir audio en Thunar

Thunar es un gestor de archivos similar a Nautilus pero que consume pocos recursos y que viene por defecto con XFCE.

Como parece que últimamente me ha dado por el tema multimedia andaba buscando una forma rápida y sencilla de convertir entre los formatos de audio más habituales: mp3, wav, ogg, ...

Aunque existen muchos programas que te permiten hacerlo cómodamente prefería poder realizar la conversión directamente desde el administrador de archivos sin tener que abrir ningún programa adicional.

Ahí es donde entra en escena el script para Nautilus: audio-convert.

Pero como bien he indicado, se trata de un script para NAUTILUS por lo que para poder utilizarlo he seguido las instrucciones ofrecidas por Xubuntu Blog. Para evitaros esfuerzos innecesarios he optado por traducir, interpretar e ilustrar lo que allí se dice buscando que os resulte lo más sencillo posible :P

Lo primero que debemos hacer es instalar desde Synaptic el paquete nautilus-script-audio-convert.

Ya que tenemos Synpatic abierto sería interesante comprobar si están instalados (e incluirlos si no lo están) los paquetes lame y vorbis-tools (que son lo que se encargados de gestionar los formatos mp3 y ogg respectivamente).

Abre una ventana de Thunar y selecciona la opción Editar > Configurar acciones personalizadas.

Pulsa el botón con el signo + para crear una nueva acción y en el formulario que aparece pon los siguientes datos:

Nombre: Texto que aparecerá en el menú al pulsar el botón derecho sobre un fichero de sonido
Descripción: una pequeña descripción de lo que hace la acción
Orden: /usr/share/nautilus-scripts/ConvertAudioFile %f
Icono: Si tienes alguna imagen intuitiva no dudes en ponerla para reconocer rápidamente la acción dentro del menú contextual

Para finalizar pincha en la pestaña Condiciones de aparición e indica que sólo se muestre la opción de convertir cuando el fichero seleccionado sea un fichero de sonido

A partir de este momento, cuando estés navegando por tu disco duro con Thunar y quieras convertir un fichero a otro formato de audio bastará con hacer click sobre él con el botón derecho y seleccionar la opción que acabamos de incluir en el menú contextual.

Sonata e MPD

Ci ho impiegato parecchio, ma alla fine sono riuscito a far andare questo Player (secondo me ottimo). Vista l'impresa e le tanta richieste nel forum di Ubuntu-IT, scrivo una breve guida

Installiamo i programmi che ci servono

sudo apt-get install mpd sonata

Adesso creiamo un collegamento per far trovare a mpd le canzoni (si potrebbe modificare il file di configurazione, ma così mi sembra più semplice)

sudo ln -s /cartella/della/musica /var/lib/mpd/music/

Aggiorniamo la lista delle canzoni

sudo mpd --create-db

Disattiviamo mpd e rendiamo autoavviante a ogni accensione

sudo killall mpd

sudo /etc/init.d/mpd start

Adesso fate partire sonata, clickate col destro e andate nelle preferenze. Sotto MPD selezionate "Connetti automaticamente all'avvio" e se volete sotto "Comportamento-Varie" anche "Aggiorna la libreria di MPD all'avvio del programma". Ci metterà un po' ad aggiornare, quidni vi consiglio di tenerlo disabilitato e lanciare ogni tanto il comando di prima per creare la lista delle canzoni.

Se volete anche poter modificare i tag, date

Añadimos desde los repositorios "Conversor de sonido" (buscar audioconverter).
Asi de simple, y ya tendremos en Aplicaciones->Sonido y video nuestro Conversor de sonido.
Una vez que ejecutamos el programa, en Edit->Preferencias podemos configurar donde guardar los archivos convertidos, seleccionar el formato de los archivos convertidos...

My favorite news radio station (WBUR) has recently added support for the audio standard ogg vorbis. Public radio and ogg make perfect sense. Free technology enables free speech. Here's a snippet.

MediaMonkey - potential replacement for using iTunes!

I this could potentially be well worth downloading and using. I was working on a serious project for a while to create something similar to this, but actually even more advanced. Still, the difference is, these guys did it and if it does what it says, if the interface is user friendly, etc... this could be much better than using iTunes.

I have to wait 84 minutes though to download it, cuz I just downloaded some super rare German Jazz album (curious to hear that little nugget).
