AAA Update:

• 2 days ago, Sidney Ponson pitched for Scranton, giving up 1 unearned run on 2 walks a no hits. A problem is that he threw 78 pitches but hey, it was his first game in 16 days. He's on track to start Friday against the Mets.
• Jeff Karstens pitched a dazzler yesterday, allowing one earned run on two hits through 6.2 innings, not to mention he struck out 11.

Juan Miranda has 12 hits in the past four games. He came off the disabled list Monday, went hitless that day and has since gone 13-for-23 with three doubles and six RBIs.

Justin Christian is hitting .429 in his past 10 games. In that span he's stolen seven bases without being caught and struck out just three times.

Brett Gardner has six walks and one strikeout in his past three games. He's stolen two bases in each of the past two games, while scoring a total of five runs Saturday and Sunday.

Matt Carson has four multi-hit games in his past eight. In his past nine games he has eight runs, eight RBIs and 13 hits, two of them home runs.

It was time to play another game. So we were told every one to get a partner. I got a partner and we didn’t stay long in because our baloon fell down and busted. The game was over and one of our teachers were the winners. The game ended like that and it was the happyest day but not like the day of going for swimming. This shows that God can make you an instrument for him. It shows that we should obey and be good to others and love you neighbors as you love your self. And we should always be good. And every thing we do put God first.

From Intern: Hannah-We really enjoyed playing relay games with the water balloons. Watching the kids have fun just reminds me of the joy the Lord brings through His children.

Almost time to go home for my weekend off, which will include: visiting my Small Sibling, Visiting my Large Aunt, Sleeping Late and Not Working. Hahahahahahahahah! Soon I shall be back, with pictures of all these very strenuous activities.

• I feel bad for all you Alex Rios owners, as he's been struggling mightly this year.
• If Jay Bruce is still availible in your league, you should pick him up, especially if you're in a  mildly deep league. He's a stud. (I have him!)
• 24 year old Edinon Volquez has been insane for the Reds this year, coming over in the J - Hamilton trade that has seemed to work out for both sides. Anyways, if he for some odd reason is still availible in your league, get this guy immediately! He's one of the early favorites for the Cy Young award in the NL. (Got him too!)

Went for a cocktail party at clarke quay last night with leanna.

invitation only to industry people (so this is my last benefit as a Concierge, and also a mini celebration to mark the end of my journey together with Conrad Hotel)

So VIP gets free flow of drinks and food =) Yums!!!! They mixed the drinks with vodka, and we had champagne as well and lots of food from hooters, shiraz, steakhouse.... etc.

And performance by odessy from gotham penthouse was damn hot!! and good =)

It was a cool experience, i think its more for networking and stuff.

basically because every time i step into my work place, i remind myself of the number of days i have left to the end of work which i am soo so so so so looking forward to, especially with the start of the great singapore sale!!! woohoo!! shopping!!!

so friday i went with LEE (korean colleague) leanna and jared to watch the opening of the Singapore Arts Festival at Boat Quay, waited damn long for it to start, but the show was still interesting about a guy whose car broke down in the middle of a street and then a cyclists sprays him with water and his head catches on fire and weird things start to happen. hahaha

but it was interesting how it was carried out and the fireworks was lovely. and  they had a really funny looking but very expressive face chaplin look alike playing a piano as he moves around the whole of boat quay area, entertaining us.

thanks to sarah for the great info about this event =) after the show leanna and i walked around clarke quay for a bit and just enjoyed the simplest pleasures of life with music, ice cream, company, chatting, laughing at turkish ice cream victims and people watching.

and today? i went on a hunt for luggages again and decided that i will just be getting the bag tml at john littles. finally a start to my shopping =) hehehe

Had some impromptu meet ups recently...

sarah and leanna threw a surprise visit for me at Conrad Concierge, then i begged them to wait for me till i ended work. sweet little things had to walk to suntec via NEW underpass 6 times. hahaha

so we settled for some xiao long pao at Asian Kitchen which wasn't as good as crystal jade's one.

And then today had some emergency so couldn't go for aslany's graduation, SORRY!!!!

In the evening went to watch Made of Honour, typical ending, but sweet, and it's so My Best Friend's wedding. Haha. But now i wanna go to Scotland too!!! =)

Then some impromptu dinner meet up with leanna and maryann =) oh how time flies, we all grow old and hit the BIG 2 this year... tsk tsk tsk...

Anyway, 6 more days of work!!! quick quick!!! i want to go shopping soon!!!

yesterday marie and I head to ikea, ate beef noodles at the market opposite ikea

some yummy beef and tandon =)

beef was chunky and stewed, slurpp.. different from other beef soup noodles. this was accompanied by great drinks from Mr Avocado!!!

we had avocado milkshake which was just right, not as thick and filing as the Seah Im market one, and the aloe vera lime juice was a SUPER cooling drink for a hot hot day like yesterday.

then after walking around ikea and a little window shopping, we headed home to cook!!!

I made rosted chicken. TAS peops.. YOU REMEMBER??? rosted chicken with rosemary, thyme, carrot and celery?? hahahaha...

then i put it to bake while i went for a jog and came home to (not your perfect looking chicken meal)

but tasty and yummy honey baked roasted chicken with alot of veggie (carrot made the sauce and chicken sweet, minimum salt and oil needed)

and baked rice!!! =) with mushrooms and chicken bits and rice and cheeseee....

tonight meet up with BOYfriends, cause i missed the last one!! haha.

I woke up early this morning to head to ICA to get my biometric passport. I got the number 2400, looks quite normal/fast/nice. When I saw the number being called, 2108!!!! WHAT!!!! *estimated waiting time, 1 hour* lucky i brought a book with me.

Then i headed to IDP to accept the offer and pay the first semester school fees. =) yippe yippeee.. sooooo HAPPY! =) I'm finally heading to australia, my childhood dream is finally gonna be fulfilled!!! HERE I COME!!!!

must study hard in australia!!! cannot let my family down and cannot waste the money.

Met sarah and Uncle Nic there too. And then i headed to Wisma to get my phone repaired. And walked around abit to see laptops and cameras. And i started thinking like wow, i'm quite alone these days ah... THEN!!! i walked from taka to lucky plaza by the under pass, and two 40 year old buskers started to pluck the guitar and when i was nearing them, one started the song with a nice voice "SEND SOMEONE TO LOVE ME".... aiyoh. so movie set up can. haha. If I was alone in the underpass, I'll bet i had just walked into a film set and stole the main actresses role.

But there was only another handful of people in the underpass, and the song made me happy. I don't know why. The buskers smiled at me. I smiled back and just let myself flow with the music in my head. Then i continued walking. THERE and THEN, I wanted to give a little for their effort to make me smile, my little voice said walk on.

Nope! today I was one step away from the exit and i turned back, down the stairs to them and smiled as I gave a little. They thanked me for coming back, and I said thank you for making my day. YEAH!!! I conquered that little voice in my head.

11.3 put the sausages in between and wrap it all up. remember to thank the sisters for making the sandwich for 4 of us in the family.

So I sulked at home the whole day, but managed to gather strength to take a look into my dream house. (which was directly opposite my house, just across my road)

Anyway, so i went back into the house and helped Marie out with THAI DINNER preparation.

She made the Green Curry and Stuffed Chicken Wings (yum yum) and I helped with the Papaya Salad

That's the Tomyam soup and Papaya Salad again (which took ALOT ALOT of Work)

6 hours of preparation for Thai Food, a Once in a VERY RARE while to do... Food was good =) Dessert!!! Oh YEAH!!! forgot i've got ice cream in the fridge. yum yum!!!

Drove down to meet Mr Warren Kok for a while to get him to do my referee form. Super nice ex-lecturer. Haha. I know who to bug for my testimonials next time =) hahaha.

Work has been great!!! I got complimented by guests, so got to be a Conrad STAR, on top of that, received a nice photo of a super cute australian baby girl I was carrying and playing with during work (i love my job)...

But i'm so not looking forward to the next two weeks of midshift (only 2 morning shifts out of 10 working days) hahah... but no complains. money's coming in. saving for stuff and all. laptop... clothings... do i need camera???

hmmm... off tomorrow!!! think i'm gonna sleep in, then run around town to repair phone and stuff, maybe head to school? =X

And on the 12th April 2008, Age 62, Mrs Christina Yeo, a teacher that taught us every single subject except PE and Music in Primary 6, she went with the Lord, my deepest condolences.

Just like with every passing comes a meaningful purpose, my mom's one brought my family closer and changed our lives, and Mrs Yeo's one has brought us peace girls back together again.

So the 6 of us from Pri 6 Peace, yr 2000, gathered at her wake to pay our last respects. And we met 4 of our very old teachers!! Ms Peck, Ms Heng, Ms Wang, Ms Ho and Ms Alberca. Talked about old days and all.

Then we left and headed to Island Creamery

So we tried Teh Tarik, Horlicks, Bundung, Very Berry, Reverso, Apple Pie, Nutella and Blackforest.

Nice nice nice!!! we had so much fun talking about old times, about other classmates, about future, basically just enjoying the company with good ice cream and good food from Gastronomia, Da Paolo =)

Great OFF DAY once again =) enjoying everyday!!

slept a good 10 hours before i got up to go out with Marie (sis).

we headed to town to look for some medicine for my eczema, but we ended up eating and shopping for food and stuff.

At paragon, we walked into Gastronomia, by Da Paolo. Take away concept with very yummy food with good quality ingredients, thus expensive pricing.

look all the yummy cakes in small boxes for a great dessert =)

We bought yummy tiramisu for $7 (good cheese, yummy yummy), BIG stuffed portobello mushrooms (our favourite) for $7.

fudge cupcake which was not fantastic ($3), and cheese with potato for $7. roughly about there. YUMMY YUMMY!!!

they had home made fresh pasta, like squid ink pasta and different weird pasta. they even had WINNIE THE POOH-shaped pasta. quite cool. the pizza looked good but we didn't buy it.

we walked around paragon market place and i started questioning marie about vegetables and stuff. looking at all the fish and meats and stuff. it was fun!! =) i like walking around super market. hahaha. if only we had the money and a trolley. OOHH!!! fun!!! =) hahahaha

they had this cool jelly beans section which reminded me of sarah and i think she'll love it...

many different jelly beans. just grab a plastic bag and press the button (like drink dispenser) and the jelly beans will flow out. COOLIOs. too bad im no fan of jelly beans.

THEN... we headed to BISHAN. we rushed to the library to grab books to entertain us during the pedicure session... and i got IRELAND - Lonely Planet.

YES I KNOW... i can't believe i went for PEDICURE either... hahaha

they asked me to choose which colour!!! never put me in this sort of situation. i'll just say ANYTHING or I DUNNO. haha. can you imagine. so many colours. THEY ALL LOOKED THE SAME TO ME!!!!... hahahahaha

so i said don't want. and they just did the cleaning and the getting rid of the dried skin.

mean while i read the lonely planet book. IRELAND is so nice!!!! i wanna go i wanna go i wanna go!!!! DUBLIN, GALWAY!! i wanna go i wanna go!!! hahahaha... ok must save money for Contiki Camping Trip first!!! =)

anyway, after reading, we talked and all. then the nice lady decided to choose a colour for me.

LOOF is a rooftop bar that is a super awesome place to just chill and relax =)

the inside of the small bar was a cosy place with small tables, and they also had mattresses with pillows where the three of us lay down to rest and listen to wonderful music played by the acoustic duo performing on thursday nights. =)

loof is just beside opposite raffles hotel, and a simply wonderful place to chill. drinks were normal prices, and we had free food platter from my brochure =) (hunt down more in the office tml)

so jammers just chilled out for the night till 10:30 and listened to all time favourite oldies and other songs. requested a few and just laxed under the stars. ah.. great end to a work day and a great start to two off days =)

went out with BOYfriends to celebrate keith's birthday!! 20 year old man!!! =)

super indulgence today with alot of food. hahahah =X

went to swensons to eat, we all got our usual orders and had the giant earth quake at the end to fill our stomachs till 9pm.

watched step up2. not as good as the first, and seriously i think the lead girl cant dance. only good at shaking her bumm.

we went to play pool and then headed to my place to grab the car and to JALAN KAYU we went to eat the healthier choice prata.

i love spending time with my BOYfriends, although missing azhar and zhen hu, jacky and nicholas. but we had a great time =) so much food, laughter and jokes.

my two very productive off days began like this:

Thursday morning (19.03.08) i woke up to head to school to ask about my transcripts and intended to purchase one, but they said it would be ready for collection only next friday. so i decided not to get it and wait for the free one that will come in early April.

I then headed to Shenton Way to meet up with University of South Florida representative and got a clearer picture of how the US university system works. Then i headed to Suntec to wait for the rest of the Conrad people to finish work.

Fas Jr, Zizi, Glaiza, Situah and Mann met up with me and we headed to the Singapore Flyer.

The first level was kinda nice with nature, waterfall, trees and stuff. Then we finally got on to the capsule (privately booked just for Conrad Staff). It was funny cos we had to run into the capsule as it was continuously moving. hahahaha

It's not all that fantastic, the view most probably can be seen from equinox or one of those restaurants on top. But it is a try-only-once thing. I wouldn't pay $30 to go up there again. Not worth the money.

I might still go there for POPEYE's chicken and Kenko fish foot reflexology. hahah.

I guess what made the Singapore Flyer really was the whole company. We had crazy and funny people, cam whoring sessions and Mrs Tang's (The Queen) drama.

Dinner after that was damn good too. The Laughter, the jokes, the food, topped with the obvious fact that it was FREE =)

We had our big corner in the Aqua Marine Restaurant, Marina Mandarin, which we filled with laughters and flashes from the cameras. Buffet style, free flow of sushi, oyster, sashimi, ice cream, mussels, crabs, beef, lamb, yum yum and the list goes on.

Glaiza and I kept taking photos together because we realised we had similar cheek bone shapes and somehow we may actually look alike - like sisters =)

Overall, it was a darn good (cashless) outing with Conrad Staff. The day ended well =)

FRIDAY

woke up for Good Friday service, then leanna came over and we slacked together for 6 hours in my room with the guitar, by the window (when it started to rain at 3pm), rolling around, playing no-link games and just chilling and talking =)

i looked forward to 7:30pm like a hungry pig, dinner at buonos italian restaurant at lichfield with dumbernarian girls.

We caught up on our lives. the juicy stuff, the boring work/no work life, university or no university. I'm glad we did this, i'm glad we met up.

food was great too. yummy linguine, yummy thin thin pizza, yummy calamari and super super yummy LAVA CAKE.

This Lava Cake is heaven. It is cake on the outside, and when you take your first spoon of it, POOF*

HOT, i mean really steamy HOT fudge ooozes out and you eat it with the yummy cake and vanilla ice cream. HEAVEN i tell you. It was super good.

I enjoyed my two off days thoroughly. And a good 10 hour sleep last night. OHH!!!

Time to get ready for work!! haha =)

IKEA meatballs and DEMPSEY Bens and Jerry =)

i picked up sarah and leanna and we headed round and round till we finally got to alexandra and ate meatballs, chicken wings and asparagus soup.

the we headed to dempsey just to take a look and eat bens and jerry ice cream =) great chilling out!!

Dempsey's a great place to chill. Although part of me wish there was a special someone i could come here wit. most of me would love to just have a great evening with a group of friends and a whole lot of laughter, some stuff you cant get with just a special someone.

It was so california, like a little town, a place we just walked around from ice cream palours, to restaurants, to grocery shop and *drugstore* (imagining). it'd be like a little town hidden somewhere away in the country side. Nice nice =)

Air was cool, windy, with the windows wind down, and great music =) ahh.. lovely evening. great end to my off day. work starts tml again. wonder when's my next off. hahaha.

btw this is my room now.

here's the nice window i like to sit by and hang my legs out, talking on the phone or reading a good book =) it's really windy these days. very nice.

and my bed combined with my sis. now that she's out of town i practically row around the big two beds like it's a humongous bed =) ehehehehe
