Thank you.)  ETA: There are photos of the full fountain to be seen here.

This last photo was taken on June 13th 2008, while I was out getting other photos.  It's the Mr's shadow/reflection, I fondly refer to him as "giant" because he's a foot taller than I am.  Er, and the reflection is on running water, rain runoff on a road.

All the light trails were done with either a light up frisbee (as in the opening door one) or with another camera. The exposure time was between 10 and 15 seconds. Props to Zach for staying extremely still, he probably deserves a cookie.

Hopefully it won't somehow ruin the other computer's net access) and I recently got the urge to take photos of almost everything.

I did a mini photoshoot for my 1:18 Minichamps Porsche Carrera GT, using a self-made cardboard soft light-box, with instructions from Strobist. It turned out pretty well.

 

 

Comments on the model car photos would be much appreciated.

The Mooncake Festival is just around the corner now (or has it already passed?). Shopping malls everywhere have lanterns put up nowadays.

I also had a go in slow-shutter night photography. I don't know if it turned out well, but I guess it's not really bad for a beginner, right? :D Photos taken on the way to Klang Parade. Wasn't too easy to keep my hands steady with the car travelling.

]]> <![CDATA[Trying to keep the momentum...]]> http://exploringlight.wordpress.com/2007/05/10/trying-to-keep-the-momentum/ Thu, 10 May 2007 16:26:08 +0000 Whitney http://exploringlight.wordpress.com/2007/05/10/trying-to-keep-the-momentum/ I'm trying to post as much as I can now, because I won't have good internet access this summer, and I won't have much time to use a computer anyway.  This will be my second summer working on Star Island, a Unitarian Universalist conference center.  The island is part of a group of islands called the Isles of Shoals, which are located about ten miles off the coast of New Hampshire.  I leave May 21st and come back August 24th.  I'll probably be off the island occasionally for days off, but I spend most of my time there during the summer, and there's only one computer on the island that employees can use.  It's such a beautiful place that generally, people would rather be outside than inside sitting in front of the computer anyway.  I'm sure I'll write more about the island, it's pretty much my favorite place to be, and a huge part of my life.  For now though, onto the pictures!
