Digression: niconico(ニコニコ） is Japanese onomatopoeia for smiling.

Thus with much dismay when I see news in the tubes saying that Niconico made an agreement to pull copyrighted material from their site. The last time I logged in there, I see tonnes of anime-based videos; it is not unbelievable to say none of them will be there if Niconico enforces this agreement strictly. What's unbelievable is that a site that had its popularity shot through the roof with the likes of "illegal fan-made" material turned its back on the community they put together.

Ouch.

In the spirit of fairness I should also say that commercial entities are often caught between a rock and a hard place. Not the best place to be when the law had not yet caught on to technology or common sense (!) and hence is exploitable by lobbies/organisations with vested interests.

I still think he's a bit of a siscon but I guess he doesn't subscribe to Stripey's rules of engagement.

The pace of the last few episodes has really picked up and we're getting to the meat of the show or the playoffs if you will. Btw if it were a playoff Noe would be seeded 1, Hiromi 2 and Ai 3.

Very Comfortable Sleeping Position...

When I first heard of Hatsune Miku, I was a little apathetic about it (her?) It wasn't until I caught wind of the new vocaloids, Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len. It was then that I started to get slightly obsessed with hearing what their voices are like... listening to all these random songs using all 3 Vocaloid2 models... etc. etc. And along came Prima...

Nahhh I'll tell you honestly... I'm not that obsessed with Prima. She's just... there. I just started watching random videos on niconico concerning her though... She's a bit hard to understand at times though. I wonder if that's the same as the Japanese models for those that speak Japanese? For me Hatsune Miku, Meiko, Kaito, and both Kagamine twins sound perfectly fine. But that's most likely because I don't understand a word of Japanese.

I love the song "Fly Me to the Moon" though I dislike Evangelion. But hey... Frank Sinatra's version is pretty cool. ;D I don't really like the way Prima sang it though... to be honest, I prefer the Hatsune Miku version.

Well I sure appreciate the fact that Prima can sing in English and all... but I don't really like her voice. = I hope they come out with a cutesy version of the Vocaloid in English... that'd be awesome. Besides, I hear Prima's quite expensive. $199 or something? I checked on amazon and Kagamine Rin/Len is (are?) only $131 or so! Ehh... I don't like the boxart (?) for the Vocaloid Prima too.

On a side note... I never new Sweet Ann was released! But dear gawd... I'm afraid she scares me. Not cute... not cute at all. I guess she sings okay... Here's a YouTube video I found of her! :D (Sweet Ann Crazy) She does NOT look "sweet" at all... They made her the typical American. Almost looks like a cowgirl too... I still prefer Hatsune Miku and the other Vocaloids over her... Much much more...

However I must say... Kagamine Rin is my favorite of them all. Perhaps it's because she's newer? Maybe it's because it was only when I "noticed" her that I started to catch onto the whole Vocaloid trend? Who knows... but she's cute! D: (And that makes me sound like some perverted Otaku...)

All this Photoshop... SAI-ing hype has gotten me to want a tablet. I've been asking around gaia and they said that the Wacom is a good inexpensive tablet... I'm leaning towards the "Wacom Bamboo Fun Small Electronic Tablet with Pen and Mouse - White" priced at $99.95 ... although that's a bit expensive still... considering I still want to buy an Akira cosplay outfit (from Lucky Star) for AX! D: Oh I've got to learn to budget... etc.

And now my mom is shouting at me to get off the computer. I haven't finished my homework yet though Dx So unfair... Oh well...... That's what I get for procrastinating and typing this post out instead of doing my homework, eh? XD

This here my friends is a remix of the Touhou song called U.N. Owen was her? This one may be the best one ever made... I mean... Just listen to it!!! ITS PURE GOLD!!!

U.N. Owen was her? is the theme to Touhou 6's extra stage boss, Flandre Scarlet. Flandre is a 495 year old loli vampire of the Scarlet Devil Mansion and is the younger sister to Remillia Scarlet. Mostly its easy to think of Flandre as a Yandere, as she is most of the time shown to be completely insane, heck she could make Nice Boat look like Nice floor... then again that is just some of the Doujinshi and fanart speaking there.

Now why the name U.N. Owen was her? for the song? Well its a reference to Agatha Christie's novel "And Then There Were None" and U.N. Owen was a character in that book that was never seen in person, but I'm guessing its some sort of scary person, like Flandre... Who knows, its just one damn good song.

Its a Japanese video hosting site, which sees some completely crazy stuff from day-to-day, heck you might have seen NicoNico videos on Youtube. (If you see ニコニコ its from NicoNico) But what makes NicoNico so different? Well its comment system, as comments you post will fly across the video. Its a crazy system which can make the videos even more fun.

- When looking up videos, its best to use Japanese text for when searching for them, as English ones may sometimes not come up with any results. (ローゼンメイデン for Rozen Maiden, ナルト for Naurto)

IMO Sorachi-sensei created the Benizakura arc for the Gintama anime. The arc was introduced right after (or coinciding with) the announcement for the anime adaptation in Shounen Jump. He may have been like "Holy sh*t! I better produce some serious stuff for television!" LOL (off topic: 2:58 is so Kenshin vs. Sanosuke's zanbatou <3) But whatever the reason, the arc kicks ass.

Anyway, watching the video made me really miss Rurouni Kenshin. A LOT. But I don't have the time (or the desire) to revisit the series again. I remember in 2002, after watching the first few episodes on AXN with the retarded subtitles, it was like something had come over me. Up till then the most Japanese TV I ever got was either the Power Rangers or Pokemon... which were cool until I grew out of them. Then RuroKen came into the picture. Holy cow. That's more like it!
