ABC is still targeting its TV promotional efforts on Dodger fans apparently. First it was Deanna Pappas of the Bachelorette, and now it's Nicolette Sheridan of Desperate Housewives throwing out the first pitch at a Dodger game last night against the Giants (which means she probably had better velocity than Barry Zito).   Honestly, she looks pretty good for 44, but if you were held together by botox and clothes pins all the while drinking the blood of baby kittens in order to retain your youth, you'd probably look pretty good at that age too.  More pictures after the jump...

No presente mês de Junho, a FOXlife estreia novos blocos de programação, assim como novos episódios de Donas de Casa Desesperadas e Ghost Whisperer.

Donas de Casa Desesperadas - QUARTA TEMPORADA - Susan (Teri Hatcher), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Bree (Marcia Cross), Gabrielle (Eva Longoria), Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) e Katherine (Dana Delany) estão de volta, com sete novos episódios repletos de drama, comédia e mistério.

Susan e Mike (James Denton) continuam felizes, e agora com um bebé a caminho reencontram caras familiares, que despoletam novos problemas. Chris Carmack (The O.C.), Celia Weston (Junebug) e o antigo membro do elenco regular Richard Burgi, são alguns dos actores que poderemos ver na companhia de Teri Hatcher e James Denton.

Lynette e Tom (Doug Savant) não terão a mesma sorte que os vizinhos Susan e Mike. O regresso de Rick (participação de Jason Gedrick) irá abalar as estruturas do casamento dos Scavos, mas será a problemática Kayla (Rachel Fox) que ameaçará verdadeiramente a felicidade de Lynette.

Com Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) cego, Gabrielle é forçada a tornar-se numa mulher diferente, responsabilidade que a ex-modelo não consegue ter. Até um cão-guia causará problemas ao casal. E quando Ellie (participação de Justine Bateman; Amor no Alasca; Family Ties - Quem sai aos seus), uma desconhecida, aluga um quarto na casa dos Solis, os problemas já existentes assumem outras proporções.

Bree e Hodge (Kyle MacLachlan) também não terão umas semanas fáceis. O casal sofrerá um abalo quando Hodge confessa algo de terrível do seu passado a Bree, algo que Bree não conseguirá perdoar facilmente, e que levará Hodge a aproximar-se de Edie, a quarentona conquistadora do bairro. Será na companhia de Katherine, que Bree terá momentos de alegria e de verdadeira amizade, mas também de terror e medo de morte.

Katherine, a protagonista do mistério da temporada, terá problemas em lidar com a obsessão da sua filha Dylan (Lyndsy Fonseca) em descobrir a verdade sobre si e sobre o seu pai, Wayne Davies (participação de Gary Cole; A Balada de Ricky Bobby), quando este regressa a Wisteria Lane. A presença do perigoso Wayne forçará a nova moradora do bairro a pedir ajuda a Bree e também a Adam (participação de Nathan Fillion; Firefly; Serenity).

E Edie, ainda que pouco destacada nestes episódios, acabará por conquistar a atenção de todos quando decide mudar por completo a sua vida, e para isso, toma medidas drásticas que poderão encerrar a participação de Nicolette Sheridan na série.

Ghost Whisperer - Em Contacto - 3ª TEMPORADA - Jennifer Love Hewitt está de volta com novos episódios do drama Ghost Whisperer, onde interpreta Melinda Gordon, uma jovem mulher com poderes paranormais: Ela é capaz de ver e comunicar com almas que, por variadas razões, não abandonaram a terra depois de morrerem.

No decorrer da temporada, Melinda descobre mais sobre a sua família, mais precisamente sobre os seus pais, Tom (participação especial de Martin Donovan; Imsonia, recorrente em Erva) e Beth (participação especial de Anne Archer; Atracção Fatal). Gabriel Lawrence (participação de Ignacio Serricchio), um homem com os mesmos poderes que ela, regressa a Grandview, o que causará muitos problemas a Melinda.

A situação complica-se quando Kate (participação de Rachel Shelley; A Letra L), a ex-mulher de Payne começa a assombrar Nina e o filho dela, por ciúmes.

Nicht nur ich denke mir das - auch wahrscheinlich die hälfte der Fans von Desperate Housewives. Laut TVGUIDE soll Nicolette Sheridan wieder in der 5. Staffel dabei sein, denn Marc Cherrys Aussage war: "Edie will be gone for awhile, but we will see her coming back in a few years." Da diese "few years" ja die besagten 5 Jahre sind, die am Ende der 4. Staffel beschrieben worden sind, war Nicolette Sheridans "Abgang" ja wirklich kurz.

Außerdem neu gecastet werden deswegen auch die Gebrüder Scavo. Wieder mitdabei sein wird Dana Delaney alias Kathrine Mayfair! Mit diesen (guten) Nachrichten ... viel Spaß im Sommer!

Anscheinend ja, wie die Klatsch und Tratsch Presse von Hollywood berichtet. Nach dem Ausstieg von Nicolette Sheridan in der diesigen Staffel (Finale wurde am 18. Mai ausgestrahlt) sucht Marc Cherry wohl eine neue fähige Hausfrau. Vielleicht, so munkelt man, soll es die Sängerin Beyoncé in die Wisteria Lane schaffen. Vorläufig ist sie noch für eine Gastrolle verpflichtet, ihr Manager und Cherry versuchen sie jedoch für eine volle Staffel auf die Bildschirme zu hiefen. Man wird sehen wie das ausgeht ...

Nicollette Sheridan, whose saucy Edie Britt has been largely MIA from Desperate Housewiveslately, will continue to wreak her special brand of havoc on Wisteria Lane next season, despite rumors to the contrary (and despite the fact that she's not scheduled to appear in the last two hours of this season). A source close to the production tells EW.com that the actress will make at least "several appearances" when the ABC drama returns in the fall.

When the storyline will be set is another question: As previously reported, exec producer Marc Cherry is considering going all One Tree Hill and transporting the ladies either five years forward or five years back in their lives to freshen things up. And Queer as Folk's Gale Harold will be guest starring at the end of this season to help smooth the transition, which all seems to add up to...yeah, we still have no idea how this all plays into the "shocking" twist that will "change the whole series," as Cherry teased to EW in March.

Now this is a couple who always seems in love.  And not just the love after a year or so, but the barely new love that's still high from the freshness of it all.
