I have some pretty fun news. so, my friend has a pool, and we were gonna go swim in it, but first she had to use this skimming thing to clean out all the dirt and bugs that fell into it overnight. so, I was using the skimmer, and I  noticed that I had scooped up a lightning bug, I was about to flick it, when I relized it was alive!

Me and my friend were having a lot of fun playing with it, so we fond a nice litle home for it, and we named it Fella, cause my friend kept saying "Hey little fella!" so yeah. But then, we decided that we should let him go, so we did. It was a little sad, but he belonged outside anyways.

I also had a sleepover with her. it was fun. hope I've been keeping you posted enough. remember! Only 6 more day until I go to Michigan!

Many teen girls are heart-broken and Cole and the producers of 'The Suite Life' are probably not too thrilled either.

By cutting his hair, it gave him the bowl-headed appearece he had when 'The Suite Life' first aired on Disney Channel. And now by dying it, some former fans say that his head now resembles the top of a walnut. (Please note that none of these opinions personally reflect Teen Now News or any of it's admin.)

But it seems that Diablo 3 isn't the only secret that Blizzard has been hiding these last few years...

OnlineWelten got a chance to sit down with Blizzard's Rob Pardo at the invitational and nagged him on a few issues, one of which was whether or not Blizzard still had any unannounced games in development.

The answer; a coy yes.

According to Pardo, Blizzard still has one as-yet-unannounced project in development which is being worked on by a team seperate to both Starcraft II and Diablo 3.

There's precious little information than that going around at the moment, though rumours hint that this could be Blizzard's supposed World of Warcraft successor or sequel for next-gen system. Personally, we've got out fingers crossed for Starcraft: Ghost though.

Which game would you want Blizzard to work on? Something old, or utterly new? Let us know in the forums.

I've Just finished "Coal: A Human History" by Barbara Freese.  It's not quite "summer" reading, unless you're way into dirty, smoggy history on clear, sunny days. I'll go ahead and promise a review for later, complete with well-researched references to recent brou-hahas over new coal plants in VA and GA.

I'm taking "More: Population, Nature, and What Women Want" by Robert Engelman with me to WI (along with five other books and a stack of magazines to catch up on in the hammock, happy sigh), since the population aspect of environmentalism is one I don't fully grasp, and I'm very interested to see how he works on it.  He did an interview about his methods and motives with NPR, which is where I heard about it in the first place.  I'm pretty stoked to see "feminist" (as if it doesn't impact ladies and gentleman and everyone else alike) issues and environmental issues dovetailing.

Not that most would necessarily find this to be "summer" reading, either, but seasonal reading never made much sense to me anyhow.

Ok, Peeps.

Since no one has yet voted on the survey, i will stop posting the link and stuff. The App feature on Fridays will be called Apps of the Week (Say it A-P-Ps of the week).

As a sidenote, i will soon be adding a blog to mirror this one on Tumblr. Although i will continue to post on this blog, I will have additional features (Daily music, comics, etc.) on Tumblr. I am doing this because Wordpress, while a great blogging tool for those just starting to code/blog, is too restrictive for those who would like to do some complex coding/blogging (and I'll hopefully be doing some of both). This "move" will not take place until somewhere near the end of July though. In the interlude, I will be coding and designing the blog, and probably doing some prelim posting.

Finally, I will be gone for July 16th,17th, and 18th, and possibly for the 15th,19th, and 20th as well. Obviously, there will be NO POSTING (Weep your little hearts out....please?) during the days I am gone. I'll TRY to make it up to you with my stuff on tumblr, which should be up within a week of my return.

      • starts with a phone call to Sabrina while she's in her van

      • Sabrina will follow her usual routine (i.e. writing contact info on an envelope, which she takes into her meeting with the patient - then goes back to her van or office and enters the info into the TW - then scans the envelope into SRs - later will cut in the video captures of what TW and the scanner are doing - then get someone to access the info - not sure how to do this part)
      • (Greg) - that might be as simple as having a memory stick that you take to the home of a patient and put into their computer

Moving Infrastructure Away From CGNet To the Amazon Platform

• the TW based note taking service was launched recently at the Personal Democracy Forum
  • we've been discussing UM sponsoring the Confabb tools to be available for all nonprofit and NGO conferences
• we can also use these tools for the workshop we're organizing
  • Confabb provides a way for attendees to have access to an agenda, get the details and see the materials associated - it also integrates with slideshare and youtube etc, so additional material can be integrated
• (Martin) - at Osmosoft, our work on that is complete - we want to support them in adding to Confabb if/when they want
  • the way the code is set up at the moment is a bit of a mess because it's in various contributors' directories, so it would be useful to get that setup in the Assoc. directory in subversion as part of the process of getting it moved over to UM
• (Greg) - we're working towards getting the code both for synchronization and the Confabb code overall contributed to UM

"We're in the business of providing great games to a broad audience of gamers, and we need to be able to fulfill that role by getting products to consumers quickly and at a good price," he told GI.biz.

"We're concerned with any measures that would mean this process is made more unwieldy, or incurs additional costs which have to be shared with the consumer."

Although Dr Byron suggested in her government commissioned report that games should adopt a new rating system where any game rated 12+ by the opt-in PEGI standard should be re-rated by the governmental body the BBFC, Microsoft is cautious about such a change. At the moment only games rated as 15+ are examined by the BBFC.

"We want a steady stream of product to consumers via retail and therefore support PEGI as the single ratings system in the UK," said Thompson. "That way, we're able to ensure the right content goes to the right audience, as efficiently as possible."

The comment comes shortly after EA;s Keith Ramsdale voice similar worries that the proposed system could slow down UK releases.

Through all the Windows and Microsoft bashing on the intertubes, it's almost easy to forget that Windows does, in fact, have quite a few positive aspects as well. One of those aspects is the modularity of its installation system, which allows you to create your custom installation image of Windows - with relative ease. Sadly, Microsoft decided to keep this ability away from normal users, making it a sort of OEM tool only. Lucky for us, there's a tool called vLite/nLite which allows us to slipstream fixes, applications, and drivers into the installation image as we please. This functionality of course also made its way to the 'underground' community, who used it to produce something called TinyXP. APCMag decided to take a look at it.

"One of the annoyances with installing a fresh copy of Windows XP these days is that the driver set is six years out of date, and there's been a LOT of new hardware emerge since then," APCMag writes, " It's one thing to install the latest graphics driver, but it’s another to have to set up everything from the chipset to the storage drivers." TinyXP addresses this issue by adding up-to-date drivers to the installation image. A new version has been released to the dark side of the web, which has Service Pack 3 slipstreamed.

However, that's not all TinyXP offers. True to its name, it also offers installation options that greatly reduce the footprint and size of the operating system, with the smallest installation type leaving you with a 50MB memory footprint. "The BARE option is a seriously stripped-back installation of XP - no themes or games and minimal services, but there's still enough functionality to support all hardware types, and the system footprint is tiny - only 50MB of system RAM is used on a fresh install."

Obviously, TinyXP isn't exactly out of the shade when it comes to the issue of legality, so for most of us, using vLite or nLite seems like a better option. These tools are drop-dead easy to use (I'm speaking out of experience here), and you get to remove the parts you really don't need. They also warn you of specific tools you really shouldn't remove, so little can go wrong.

Čo znamená pre vás? Zavrite oči a povedzte si, čo vidíte. Ja: žiarivé slnko, more, hladké-opálené telo, pokoj, voľnosť, ten pocit absolútne vypnúť, oddychovať a nezaťažovať sa bežnými problémami.

Dovolenka je super! Moje najobľúbenejšie obdobie roku! Ale len vtedy, keď ideme s manželom do zahraničia. Nemôžem si pomôcť, ale ja si doma neoddýchnem! Je to len zabíjanie času a veľa starostí: Kde by sme išli? Ako tam majú otvorené? Koľko stojí vstupné? Čo za to ponúkajú? Je tam parkovanie v cene, alebo treba priplatiť? Kde sa dá najesť? Bude vôbec dobré počasie - slnko, teplo? Máme v poriadku auto? Čo si oblečieme? Balenie a vybaľovanie! Príchody a odchody! Bŕŕŕŕ, no hrôza!!! Ani sa nenazdáte a máte po dovolenke.

Zato pri mori: Čo ideme dnes robiť? Ideme na pláž, či k bazénu alebo sa ideme prejsť? Ktoré plavky si mám obliecť: tieto alebo tieto? Čo asi bude na večeru? Urobia ten vynikajúci koláč, dajú zmrzlinu? Stretneme sa s XYZ? Ideme na raňajky/večeru teraz alebo o hodinu? No to je ono, to správne ono!!! Žiadne starosti, pohoda, kľud, jednoducho raj.

Dovolenka je taká, ak sa nevysktnú nepredvídané okolnosti-zlé počasie, choroba, nedajbože prírodné katastrofy, ... akú si ju urobíte vy! Ak do nej necháte preniknúť problémy z domu, bude o ničom. Ale ak sa vykašlete na všetko, problémy hodíte za hlavu a vyberiete tú správnu dovolenku, bude sa vám len ťažko vracať domov. Budete na ňu spomínať, pri zavretí očí prežívať každú minútu, každý nádherný detail aj po rokoch. Treba si len správne vybrať. Ale o tom až nabudúce...
