Ich bin kein eigentlich kein Fan von Pink/Rosa. Selten findet ein Kleidungsstück in dieser Farbe den Weg meinen (begehbaren 3 Etagen- rechts Abteilung Kleider-links zur Schuhgrotte-"Folgen Sie den Wegweisern!") Schrank.

Anders diese Jacke im Retro-Look. Trotzdessen das sie noch in anderen Farben und Motiven zu kaufen war, musste ich sie einfach in rosa haben. Zu finden bei <<Burt Laundry>> .

Der Skin stammt von ::Soda:: (Alice).

Insgesamt 10 neue Skins geben sich bei der Qual der Wahl die Klinke in die Hand. Jeder hat sein eigenes Gesicht und ähneln in gewisserweise Redgrave . Gut gearbeiteter Mund, natürliche Augenbrauen und ein leichter Schimmer geben den Skins einen hohen Realitätsfaktor. Eine echte Altenative. ;)

Mit 900 Linden liegen sie in der üblichen Preisspanne, allerdings bekommt man pro Make-up drei Lippenfarben (somit 3 Skins) in nude, gloss und eine farbliche Variante.

Tomorrow sees the much anticipated reopening of Minnu Model Skins, bringing the release of the new Zero line; for men and women complete with an entirely revamped store. Doors open 12pm (SLT) Sunday 7th July. And now for a little teaser......for the boys!

With every new release, MMS improve greatly on the previous generation, and this time is no different and the acute attention to minor detail has paid off greatly as the skins now feature higher detailing than before, right down to precise shading of the soles of the feet and heels.

Skin creation on the grid is improving in leaps and bounds - becoming more and more realistic and a far cry from the early days and the new line from Minnu is certaintly proof of that. Available in 8 skintones; Pale, Light, Sunkissed, Suntan. Tan, Dark & Umber, with 5 different body hair options, 12 facial hair options and the choice of eyeliner (including a smudged eyeliner to indulge your inner emo) & hair/bald head: creating countless options for the discerning guys out there (and future skin whores)

And that detailing I mentioned? the abs are well defined;toned but not to a point of making it look as though you're smuggling a pack of bricks under your shirt. Legs have the same realistic muscle definition and shaowing on the shins/backs of the calves, thighs appear strong, powerful but not overly done.

Overall the skins do have a toned/athletic body type but there's not a meathead in sight
Suitable for almost any shape *i tried them with more than a few* and with so many choices/combinations you're unlikely to run into an "identical twin" on your travels across the grid

The Understated Elegance of a System Skirt

When you get an invitation for a red carpet event, two things are likely to happen. You'll have a wonderful time and there will be lots of lag.

To minimize the problems of lag, don't overlook the advantages of wearing a system skirt. (The system skirt is that little pink skirt logo in your clothes folder). You'll arrive looking elegant while all around you others are standing in their glitch pants waiting for their prims to rezz.

The Hollywood gown, created by Blaze, makes full use of the system skirt. It's an elegant classic gown reminiscent of the glamor gowns of the 1940's and 50's. It comes in a wide variety of beautiful colors and here it's shown in "Copper" a muted butterscotch color.

The detailing with this gown is superb, right down to the zipper details on the back of the dress and the embellishments on the bodice. As an added bonus, the Hollywood gown comes with a delicate prim bolero jacket.

To enhance the delicate color of the gown, the gloves and bag were matched in the same muted butterscotch color. The pearl earrings and necklace shown here have a subtle sheen which sets off the gold tones in the gown.

Styling Tip

Whenever you put on a system skirt, your av's body measurements are automatically enlarged. To overcome this extra layer of bulk, try this trick:

Go into appearance, and tweak the following measurements:

* Saddlebags - your measurement minus 10 - 15

* Hip Width - your measurement minus 5

* Waist - your measurement minus 5

* Butt Size - 0

Save your new body shape as “System Skirt Shape” in your inventory. This slider trick will reduce the torso and butt size measurements when you are wearing system skirts.

There are days when you want to show some leg, actually a lot of leg! Instead of wearing a predictable mini skirt, why not slip into the gloriously lush fabrics of a Certain Curtain gown by Veschi?

Certain Curtain is a beautifully shaped sculptie prim gown available in a variety of luxuriant flowered brocades or in a range of equally plush solid colors. Each gown gives you a choice of two scuptie prim skirts. Shown here is the bell shaped elongated skirt version. It's guaranteed to show of the maximum amount of leg!

Certain Curtain comes with a prim neck drape in black but instead I added the pretty scarf with a side bow from an outfit created by the Sweetest Goodbye, as I wanted to break the solid dark line of black hair and dress bodice and also balance out the skirt.

Adding a scarf is one of the easiest ways to individualize an outfit and stamp it with your own personality.

Paper Couture's gloves with their petal shaped ruffles were added along with FNKY's classic T-Strap pumps to accentuate the line of the legs.

I scrabbled over to Kittie's Lair today to pick up the new francine shoes (slow coach, I know.). As soon as I put them on, I had the urge to dance....so out came the sine wave flamenco dances..nope, not right, the floor dances? nope try again davi....then I clicked one I hadn't even used before, "crazy legs" which is one of the men's dances (I think?) and pretty much tap inspired - hit the nail on the head here davi. My inventory was pretty lacking on anything to go with it so I hit the Dancer's Mecca, a.k.a. "Spirit" and picked up the cropped shorts and the hoodie, teamed with a plain white tank from Last Call (sorry gals) and my beloved freebie tights from G.L.A.M. I was ready to tap til my shoes couldn't tap anymore....

Content Theft Is NO JOKE!

As I laze about in SL shopping and chilling with people I see more and more of the content theft signs in stores. Store owners, creators of items in SL are truly concerned about this matter! And I full agree that it must stop. Exactly where does someone come off stealing ideas and passing them off as their own? Even Minnu a famous model skin maker in SL has stopped production of skins for the time being because of it. People need to realize how much this effects everyone. Content theft is NO JOKE. To some people their SL store or business is their RL livelihood as well. You are screwing with peoples love for a game and their money as well. So I decided to write this small blog in response to those who steal creations from hard working SL members and try to sell them as their own. STOP doing this! You are not going to be looked at as anything but a liar and a theif. If you wish that kind of status in SL then your no better then the common greifer who bombs clubs and such. Put your foot down if you see content theft happening as well! If you see someone stealing ideas report them to the original creator and do the right thing. Below is a picture of Minnu's protest sign against wearing stolen skins/items in SL. You can see these all over SL, this one sits at Nyte N Day clothing store near the skin section. Thanks all for listening and I hope SL gets rid of these theives once and for all.

I went to Vanity Universe again to check out if there are any new skins at Skin Fair, there was! Well, I found one freebie skin from Beauty Avatar, whom I've never heard of before.

(this is located in a kiosk directly across from Gala skins)

It's actually pretty decent, reminds me a lot of Minnu's MMSNF skinline.

I think your money is better spent on Minnu, because the makeups on Beauty Avatar skins are completely weird!! Yes, I know some people like lace and all that... but this looks like a child had access to Photoshop and cut and pasted a bunch of lace, pixelated gemstones, and fuzzy black dots onto the face. Artistic, or child art? You decide.

Hi everyone :) So I'm trying my hand at writing a blog since I figured that I like to shop, I might as well share the different stores and outfits that I see along the way ;-). There are so many talented SL designers out there so I'm sure it will be hard not to find something that fits your style.

This first one is sort of a tribute/farewell to the original Last Call creators (Ginny Talamasca). Also, I figure I'll wear something red for Valentines though the thing that I like about this outfit is that it still has character and packs a punch!

I have a thing for retro clothes. I find them sexy, feminine and elegant. I got myself this great dress form Bossanova - I'm wearing it in the first picture, along with awesome pumps from Shiny Things and hair from Ingenue, another great place for retro fans.

To my surprise, I noticed that the dress works either with prim parts or without! In the second picture, I detached the mermaid bottom and sleeve puffs, took off the hat, changed the hairstyle to a bit punkier one, Eglantine from ETD, added some jewelry and slouch boots from Maitreya... and again, one outfit, two looks!

So, for this week's blog, I wanted to show off an outfit that I would want to wear for Valentine's Day. I headed over to Simone and saw this heart themed dress that I instantly thought would do nicely in representing this special holiday.

This strapless dress is beautiful, with a lacy skirt that peeks out from underneath. I especially like the little heart cutout on the bust that shows off the cleavage without being too sexy. Lacy gloves add a nice touch to the ensemble, giving the overall outfit a playful look. And note, stockings to match with cute adornments of hearts! Put on a heart necklace and voilàs!
