Brewers 4 Braves 3

Oh so close.

You know how whenever Mike Hampton had a "rehab start" you would think, "There's no way. I know he won't pitch. I just know he won't" and yet part of you waited around just to see if it would actually happen? That's kind of like tonight's game. I know it doesn't pay to be an eternal pessimist but this season has been a little unbearable. I guess the defining moment of the game was Frenchy's weakly hit grounder in the ninth with a RISP.

I will say, if Morton had a better defense behind him, this game could of been different.

Tex carried the offense all by himself tonight which kind of makes you think the "funk" may be over.

But even though I refuse to be a Braves hater with bad things to say, I'm not really at the point of maintaining my Mike Brady-like rosy optimism. Something seems to keep suddenly coming up.

But in a world where the darkness seems...dark...really dark... darker than Amy Whinehouse's chances of passing a drug test. There is a good news in Braves Nation.

That's right the JB family will be welcoming a player to be named later. We got our first Dr's visit and the picture of our little oversized raisin to prove it. Yay!

Well that's my one glimmer of good news in an otherwise damper of an evening. At least last time I checked, the Georgia Bulldogs were losing. That always makes me feel better.

Alternately titled: I should really read the whole story and comprehend it before I jump to rash conclusions.

Yes. So immediately once I read the headline Gary Cole in for "Good Behavior" on Hollywood Reporter, ther first thing I thought was, WTF did Gary Coleman do to get in trouble again??? Wait.. Oops. Nevermind, it's Gary Cole...Oh Gary Cole, how far you've fallen.

Typically, when one hears the phrase "good behavior" one might think of a person in prison getting time off for it. Which means I DEFINITELY read that wrong! And of course the subsequent thought was... why would Gary Cole be IN for good behavior if he's in trouble... DUH! I've had my moments, believe me. But this has to be the most entertaining. Sorry, Gary Cole. I never would have believed that you were in any kind of trouble. I mean, come on. It's Gary Cole. Mike Brady... I doubt he's done anything wrong... EVER.

Anyhoo, in actuality, Gary Cole has signed on to appear in the pilot episode of Good Behavior to premiere on ABC this September. Incidentally, the show centers around a Matriarch (played by Catherine O'Hara) who decides that it is time that her criminal family try the straight and narrow path. No wonder I was confused. No less, I will definitely give this show the 3 episode chance. See what happens.

Also scheduled to make appearances are Jeffrey Tambor and Ty Burrell.

Hey,

Just saw the shots of Mike Brady and Rob Marvich down in Mexico and recognized them since I took them. I have to tell you those two were absolutely unbearably stoked on their Zippis. Talk about midlife crisis…they're both in their mid fifties and were acting like a coupla stoked groms with their new boards. Now I gotta have one…. Rich
