updated 10:37 a.m. ET, Tues., Sept. 9, 2008

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - A 54-year-old man says his obsessive-compulsive disorder drove him to eat 23,000 Big Macs in 36 years.

Fifty-four-year-old Don Gorske says he hit the milestone last month, continuing a pleasurable obsession that began May 17, 1972 when he got his first car.

Gorske has kept every burger receipt in a box. He says he was always fascinated with numbers, and watching McDonald's track its number of customers motivated him to track his own consumption.

He was at Fond du Lac High School for a math class demonstration where students figured his Big Mac consumption.

He's even worked his ritual into his family life.

"My kids have probably eaten more Happy Meals than any kids in the world. There's no doubt about that," Gorske said.

Although he skips breakfast and lunch, dedicating his hunger to the Big Mac, his cholesterol is a modest 155. And this Big Mac iron man has no plans of changing.

"I have no idea how long I'm going to live. I'm just going to keep eating Big Macs," he said.

Don missed eight days of Big Macs because of his mother's funeral and blizzards -- when the restaurant didn't open. But he keeps a supply in his freezer now, just in case, so he doesn't miss a day.e only day he skipped a Big Mac was the day his mother died, to respect her request.

I have my favorite foods as well, but I don't eat them every day. I think that if I ate the same things everyday, the food would loose it's taste and I would loose the pleasure I get from eating things like pancakes with apples and hash brown casserole from Cracker Barrel or 7 layer burritos at Taco Bell.

[Article by Ahmad al-Baghdadi: "Those People Do Not Deserve to be Elected"]

There is a group of candidates that does not deserve to enter parliament or represent the nation. They simply do not deserve it, because of their deceitful methods and their despicably fickle political activities. They include the ones who have yet to hesitate in supporting terrorism and terrorist activities, whether in Kuwait, in Iraq, or in other places. Some of those are ones who:

1-Have not condemned the terrorist operations carried out by Usamah Bin-Ladin and his gang of criminals.

2-Have not condemned the Kuwaiti terrorists who have killed innocent Saudis, Iraqis, and Kuwaitis.

3-Have no human compassion for the pain that terrorists cause to non-Muslims in the name of fighting the heretic Americans.

4-Have loyalties to foreign parties from which they derive religious and political support.

5-Have opposed women during the period that followed the liberation [of Kuwait], then opposed their rights in the parliament.

6-Have restricted means of harmless entertainment under the false pretence of religious piety.

7-Have not practiced what they preached in the name of religion and traditions, and commit in secret or while abroad the very things they preached against.

8-That are sycophants to influential people, allowing them any vice, but terrorize the weak and helpless.

9-Have used charity committee funds in their election campaigns.

10-Have not hesitated to accept illicit funds from newspapers and satellite channels, which are also illicitly funded.

11-Have contributed to the destruction of education; with their persistent pressuring of the ministry of education to turn the school curriculum into a religious one.

12-Have allowed criminals to evade their prison sentences simply by memorizing the Koran, which goes against God's law since it is not even mentioned in religion; in addition to contradicting justice, which God has commanded.

13-Have always opposed human rights and never cared about the rights of foreign labour.

14-Have not made any moves against those who trade in residencies, in spite of being aware of and able to expose them and hold them accountable.

15-Have used their positions in the parliament for personal gains, such as those members of parliament who used their positions to undeservedly obtain exceptional pensions.

16-Have not hesitated to abuse the needs of the people in order to buy their votes.

All of those people do not deserve the honour of obtaining a seat in parliament and representing the nation. Do not give them the chance today to continue on their march to destroy Kuwait.

If you have been following the Tony Rezko corruption trial, several names are mentioned over and over. Obama, Stuart Levine and Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich are mentioned in the same sentence as Rezko and Chicago and Illinois corruption. Governor Blagojevich has not been indicted yet but many believe his indictment is probable. The Illinois legislature recently proposed a bill to allow the Illinois people to recall the governor. It was narrowly defeated. The Chicago Tribune just came out with a story about Blagojevich, his strong ties to Rezko and the possibility of his indictment. Here are some excerpts:

"Patrick Collins, the former federal prosecutor who led the successful prosecution of former Gov. George Ryan, said it seems the government's case against Rezko is "inextricably intertwined with Blagojevich.""

"Most recently, former Blagojevich aide Ali Ata testified that before he was hired by the administration, he attended a meeting at Rezko's offices with Rezko and the governor. At the meeting, Ata said, he brought along a $25,000 check that was then placed on the table in front of Blagojevich."

"The prosecution's star witness, Stuart Levine, testified that on that same fundraising trip he thanked Blagojevich for his reappointment to a hospital planning board. The governor, according to the testimony, told Levine to "never discuss any state board with me," but then added, "but you stick with us and you'll do very well for yourself.""

Read the rest of the story here:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-rezko-bd18may18,0,7895365.story

I have been covering the crime and corruption ties as well as other aspects of Obama's past and character on this blog. I urge you to search on Obama, Rezko, Blagojevich or any aspect of Obama you want answers to.

Journalist, Evelyn Pringle, has been doing a lot of indepth research into Obama's many long time connections to crime and corruption in Chicago and Illinois. Here are some exerpts from her research:

"The names of Obama and Blagojevich became tied to the bid rigging scandal when reports surfaced that Companion had sought their help in carrying out the contract a year after Alsammarae left office, and around the same time he was thrown in jail in Iraq."

"US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald does not make a habit of destroying pubic officials by listing them in indictments for no reason and the only two political candidates identified as receiving campaign money from Operation Board Games kickback schemes are Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and the US Senator from Illinois, Barack Obama."

"Instead of referring to Board Games as the "Rezko" case, before long the media will likely be calling it the "Blagojevich" case. However, because the governor did not become the presidential candidate, when the scandal is recorded in the history books it will be the "Barack Obama" case. "

"Dr Michel Malek gave Obama $10,000 a little over a month before the first meeting on June 30, 2003. He also donated $25,000 to Blagojevich three weeks later on July 25, 2003, and gave Obama another $500 in September 2003. Malek was an investor in Riverside Park. "

"Dr Fortunee Massuda donated $25,000 to Blagojevich on July 25, 2003, and gave a total of $2,000 to Obama on different dates. Massuda's husband, Charles Hannon, is a co-schemer in the pension fund case and testified against Rezko in the trial."

" In the media, Obama always made it sound like he rarely saw Rezko, saying they met for breakfast or lunch once or twice a year. However, the FBI mole John Thomas helped investigators "build a record of repeat visits to the old offices of Rezko and former business partner Daniel Mahru's Rezmar Corp., at 853 N. Elston, by Blagojevich and Obama during 2004 and 2005," according to the February 10, 2008 Sun-Times."

"On May 20, 2005, the Times said, "Two Rezko associates gave Blagojevich $25,000 each just days after the governor named them to a state panel."

However, the reporters either failed to notice, or failed to mention, that panel member Malek gave $10,000 to Obama on June 30, 2003. "

This is hitting my poor Harley so bad. She was in tears. She just wanted to lay down with him and sleep she said. But, she is doing better since she came home. She isn't isolating herself like I thought she would. Which is one of the things that I have to look out for with her. So, I am thankful for that.

Sorry about the picture overload. I have a lot more. but, I think you all will enjoy these ones.

We’re for the kids. We’re all for the kids. No, really: We’re all in for the kids.

We're for the kids. We're all for the kids. No, really: We're all in for the kids. Seriously.

Reality check: What does that mean? Should we force them to endure and overcome on their own, with no more than moral support? Should we support them through every trial, perhaps to the detriment of teaching them self-reliance? Should we coddle them beyond recognition?

I don't know, but I think my dad has a pretty good idea.

Dad isn't even a teacher. He tells stories he's heard and does not necessarily agree with, condone or believe --- he's a lot like Herodotus --- but I thought one of his gems addresses this question. Though he's years younger than at least one of you readers, he and I have been around each other enough that I generally know his stories. Think Big Fish.

His story is about a hard-nosed, old-school, cuss-you-off-the-field football coach. Over the years, my dad has told it as he remembers it, and each time, the story either adds another embellishment or loses a previous one. This story certainly has the feeling of truth.

It was possible only before special ed teachers were legally required to hold certification. This story could not happen today. In my dad's tradition, I add my own embellishments.

Our coach is a coach, and in every sense of being coach. He teaches physical education. His mind is a pastiche of power plays on gridiron. Unlike the rest of the coaching staff, he's also relatively new.

He had been aware that everyone on the coaching staff takes a full schedule of special education classes every five years. The school district was too poor or too unable to find full-time special ed students.

It's his turn this year. He fought them tooth and nail. He did not want to be stuck teaching those retards. His fellow coaches weren't about to let him get away with breaching the contract, so put the pressure on the rookie. Our coach caved in, and he taught special ed.

Despite himself, he became endeared to his students during that year. He felt every success, and became excited in helping them learn how to live and survive outside the coddling influence of their high school. They were learning something, and they had made so much progress, the coach thought.

Then the year ended, and the tired-eyed administrator confers with the next coach on the rotation to take up the responsibility of the special ed students. Our football coach, who so vigorously fought against his assignment, fought even more vigorously against being reassigned to the football team.

That, my friends, is what it really means to be for the kids. Combine equal parts mentoring and tenacity, and invest in them.

Remember your 9th grade teacher who changed your perspective on how you looked at the world or you

Remember your 9th grade teacher who changed your perspective on how you looked at the world or your 11th grade teacher who everyone in your school loved!!!! Well, Mr.Leffler is one of those teachers. He is a teacher who is willing to go through anything to make sure his students are successful. He is a teacher who will always participate in the assemblies to entertain students. He is a teacher that everyone respects. His son, Aidan Leffler,4, is suffering from Duchene Muscular Dystrophy.

Duchene Muscular Dystrophy is a disease that decreases the muscle mass in the body as years go by. It is one of the leading diseases that is a cause for death in many children. Duchene is caused by a mutation within the X chromosome. It occurs mostly in infant boys than girls. Girls can be carriers of the disease but not show any symptoms. With each happy birthday, parents start worrying about the kid's health and lifespan. When the child is about 10, he is most likely going to be in a wheelchair. And, the disease degenerates from there.

No one wants to believe that their child has a disease that could kill them. The Lefflers are dealing with this in their everyday life. Finally, we are close to finding a cure for Muscular Dystrophy. But, there are not enough federal funds for it. The Lefflers have to pay $10,000 every year just for an experimental drug; but, unfortunately, medical insurance doesn't pay for experimental drugs. For all the Lefflers have done, Sammamish High School in Bellevue, WA is organizing its 2nd student-run Walk for Aidan. This student run event is a fundraiser that includes a lot of activities, a car wash, fun activities for kids, raffle giveaways and a lot more!!!!

Sammamish High School's ASB team has proved itself once again that the school cares about the community. The donations from Walk for Aidan go into Aidan's medical expense fund and Charley's Fund, a fund that is a part of finding cure for Duchene Muscular Dystrophy.

20 years later, when you think about a teacher that could have used your help, you don't want to regret it then. For a person who helps you find your career, for a person who moulds you into who you are, it doesn't hurt at all to help them when they really need it. School is not just about learning, it is about growing into a responsible and caring person. Sammamish High School has proved that it is a place that teaches students not only Math and Science but also compassion and responsibility.
