3 chorizokorvar
1 gul lök
1 msk smör
2 - 3 msk vetemjöl
0,8 liter mjölk
2 dl riven ost
1 droppe Mad Dog hot sauce
Salt & cayennepeppar

Gratinera i ugnen ca 35 min 200 grader.

It was a nice day in “the A” today. Nice enough to bring the bike out and go for Sunday

It was a nice day in "the A" today. Nice enough to bring the bike out and go for Sunday ride. The bike culture in Atlanta is pretty big. There are more clubs here than I can count and everywhere I go there's a biker event going on. I told you about Shawty Big Hair. She was at Frozen Palace. That's the spot to hit on a Sunday nite. But on Sundays during the day, you meet up at The Varsity downtown, then ride over to Mosley Park. I did just that, Varsity, then Mosley.

Before I get into the Mosley Park experience, let me say this: I love Black people. Dammit, we know how to have a good time! 99% of the time, we gather, have some drinks, some good food, some good music and the good times don't stop!

At the park today, I saw a lil bit of everything and everybody. I ran into riding buddies that ranged from lawyers to hustlers. We all were in search of...and found...a good time.

When I rolled up, this is what I saw:

As you can see, there were bikes and Negros as far as the eye can see.

Where there are bikes, there are women...plenty of them! The Good, The Bad & The Ugly!

In the midst of all the Black folks, bikes and good times, I stumbled upon some dudes shooting a music video. Yung Drop and Mad Dog and their song: Ridin Wit a Playa. Let me say this: I was a Communications major in school. I've seen more than my fair share of films/videos shot and produced. This video had to be the most Low Budgetedest music video I have ever seen! Everything about the artists, the video vixens, the song itself, all low budget. But I'm happy these dudes are out trying to get their music career off the ground. They could be doing other shit like...breaking in my house! But if this video ever sees the light of day, you'll see for yourself, it's a half-notch above a public access tv.

Here are some of the "behind the scenes" sights:That Shirtless Wonder is Yung Drop...what the hell does that name mean?!

Bald dude with the "rick ross" is Mad Dog.

The girl in the black looks like she'd rather be getting a root canal!

Bored and frustrated video "models".

Okay, here's a video of the video shoot...I wish the quality was better. I wanted you to peep the tattoo on Yung Drop's waist, looks like a gun going down into his pants! Silly negro.
[googlevideo=http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3309898832710301200&hl=en]
And now time for the CRAZY shit I saw...

Let me apologize for the blurry pic. I had to hurry and get this one. Look closely, ignore the belly hanging over the pants; forget about that orange potato-sack purse. Keep looking...do you see it? She's got a skin graphed belly and arm. I think we are looking the next comic book villian. Fuck Batman'sTwo-Face! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you in all her glory, Two-Tone!

Comb your &$%damn head before coming out in public!

I know you're thinking: What's crazy about this pic and the answer is nothing....
It's THIS pic that's crazy! How you gonna walk around with a dress wedged in your NON-ass?! If those girls were really her friends, they'd say: Girl, pull that dress out of your lower back! I wonder what kinda fudge stains were in that dress when she took it off.

Stop her before she breaks her hip or something.

And now for the grand finale...*drum roll, please*

Take a good look at these pics...THIS is why I carry around a camera! This chick made my day. You couldn't tell her she was not sexy with her LL Cool J pant leg rolled up. And I swear that was a baby bottle full of booze in her hand! And for those of you wondering, yes that's a WELCOME door mat...she was dancing with it!

I tried smoking a couple of times when I was a kid, and in addition to never quite getting the tast

I tried smoking a couple of times when I was a kid, and in addition to never quite getting the taste of it, I felt I lacked the ability to hit that certain look that a smoker goes for, you know, the one Pitt has in that picture there. The fact that I knew a dozen youths my age who were, what I would consider trailer trash, but who could strike that desirable pose, only made me decide that smoking was not for me and so I moved on to beer.

Beer, being fairly easy to get ahold of in L.A. (lower Alabama), it was the liquor of choice among the under 18 crowd, with Mad Dog 20/20 coming in a close second.

I remember being totally trashed once on Mad Dog and then having to run the sound board at church. I'm pretty sure that I still have about 50 good deeds to perform before I've worked off that spiritual debt. But that too faded and it wasn't until I was in my early thirties that I even bought my first bottle of "hard liquor," such was my fanaticism with my health.

Now, my meager liquor cabinet is stacked with the usual amenities: rum, vodka, midori, Lemonchello (sp?), some liqueurs of various flavors including some Godiva chocolate liqueur that my mom purchased when she was here a couple of years ago and that is really too sweet for much of anything except the one cocktail recipe she used it for (something to do with a Hershey's Kiss in a martini glass?).

Anyway, I used to play golf with a fellow who smoked cigars and I've smoked one or two here or there, but nothing ever seriously. Recently I saw a good deal on some cigars that came with a little humidor and I couldn't pass it up.

See, despite my protestations to the contrary, I like the idea of doing grown-up stuff, even if most of the time I don't feel especially grown up. But therein lies the problem see; most of the time, it turns out that I like the "idea" of it more than the actual "doing" of it.

For instance, the other day I cracked open my new humidor (it's like a little jewelry case for men) and randomly picked out a cigar. I took it outside and lit it while I had the house to myself for a while and I smoked it while reading. After about 20 minutes, I looked up and realized I had a bit of a buzz going. Now, to show you how ignorant I am about these things, I didn't even realize a buzz was a side-effect. All this time I thought old guys smoked cigars because they liked the way they tasted. Those sneaky old coots!

Excited over the prospect of getting a buzz without having to drink anything, I smoked away until the end of the cigar was getting too warm for comfort and then I ashed the tip and tossed it in the garbage.

About ten minutes into the "buzz" another feeling started to creep in...nausea. It grew and grew until I had that cold sweat thing going and it stayed there for about an hour. Not even a good shower, teeth brushing and a bowl of Frosted Flakes helped. All told, it took about another two hours for the effects to completely go away.

Now, I've gotten sick from drinking alcohol before and it certainly didn't dissuade me from that vice, but I'm wondering if I have the stomach for another cigar any time soon (pun intended). And again, it seems like a cool, middle-aged guy thing to do, but my sissy, go-to-the gym everyday, system couldn't handle it.

Too much manliness I guess. But I have grey hair; doesn't that count for something?

Clark Amadon, President of the Mad Dog Chapter, writes: "I returned this afternoon following the first work on the dam and discovered some very disoriented trout! They were dashing back and forth above the dam and below, I imagine just a-tingle to get through and beyond the structure!"

Looks like Mad Dog Chris Russo made it official and is on his way to Sirius. His new show will start on September 15th on Sirius channel 123. The Mad Dog Sports show will run weekdays from 2pm to 7pm. That was fast huh? Looks like a lot of sports freaks are going to hit Best Buy and Circuit City to get their Sirius radios...

http://www.sirius.com/siriussportscentral

While he swore on the lives of his children that he didn't have anything set, I guess he was pretty close.

RantingMark wishes Mad Dog the best of luck. I am sure the show will be interesting and entertaining. Personally RantingMark can't stand Sirius. I had it pre-installed in one of my cars, got a free six month trial and tried calling FOUR TIMES to continue the service after the trial expired only to be put on hold for 20-30 minutes each time. I AM NOT KIDDING. Four times. On hold at least 20 minutes each time. I gave up. I miss Howard Stern (I catch him when I rent cars once in a while while on business) but I can live without him and I can definitely live without Sirius and their awful service.

After 19 years, Russo leaves "Mike and the Mad Dog"

"Mike and the Mad Dog," a New York sports talk radio institution for nearly two decades, has been disconnected.

WFAN abruptly ended the 19-year-old show late yesterday afternoon when it announced to the media that co-host Chris Russo has left the station, leaving Mike Francesa to carry on without him.

Russo had hoped to do a farewell show, but WFAN opted to part ways immediately after releasing him from a contract that would have run through next spring.

The announcement was made after Francesa left the air yesterday, but he said he will answer all questions about it on today's show.

The news did not come as a surprise; Newsday first reported June 22 that the show likely would end before Labor Day. But it still was an emotional moment for the longtime duo.

"It's kind of a sad day," Russo said last night. "It's a very strange day in my life."

Said Francesa: "I think it has to sink in. It'll be very different when I finally get back in the fall."

He will be on solo today as scheduled; Russo is on vacation.

The reasons for the breakup are multi-faceted, and somewhat murky.

Operations manager Mark Chernoff said all parties agreed "the show has kind of run its course." But Russo said that was true only to a point.

He said he could have carried on but was motivated to explore other opportunities.

"Basically, I'm looking for a different challenge in my life," Russo said. "I'm 48 years of age. This might be the last chance I'm going to get for a challenge if I want to take it."

Russo swore on his children's lives that he has no firm agreement or contract, but industry sources say he is likely to land at Sirius Satellite Radio for a lucrative deal worth up to $15 million over five years.

"I have four or five options," he said. "Sirius would be one of them ... Obviously, I'm not stupid. I'm not going to leave FAN unless I have something relatively secure."

Because there will be no farewell show, their final joint appearance was an Aug. 5 remote at Giants camp in Albany. Other than that day, they had not spoken for weeks until Wednesday.

"I told him if I don't re-sign [with WFAN], it has nothing to do with him and I," Russo said.

Francesa said the two agreed to talk again when Russo cleans out his office next week.

The hosts' relationship has been strained in recent months, and at least to some extent, they apparently were ready to move on from each other as well as the show.

"I think the relationship was part of this," Francesa said, "but I think in the end this was probably more of a different vision about what the future may hold."

At the same time the station announced that Russo was leaving, it announced a new contract for Francesa, whose deal was believed to be expiring around the end of the year.

Francesa said he will have control over the new-look show, which will unfold in the coming weeks. He will not have a co-host, but he will not sit alone for 5½ hours a day.

"I expect nothing less than to be successful, but I understand it's a great challenge," Francesa said. "It won't be a co-hosting situation. It will be my show, but I want to have personalities and other opinions and other voices."

Francesa and Russo were the undisputed stars of WFAN after Don Imus was fired last year. Chernoff tried his best to keep them together.

He sat them down in May and again in July before the All-Star Game, the latter time "to see if things were OK. I thought they were, but obviously, there were things that made it tough."

He said he is confident that Francesa can succeed without Russo.

"Mike's a strong personality who brings an awful lot to the table," Chernoff said.

Said Russo: "I'm going to miss the station, the heartbeat, the day-in-and-day-out buzz of New York sports."

Said Francesa: "I would expect as we get distance from it, we'll be very proud of what we built and accomplished. But I do also look forward to this [new show]."

That seems to be the most popular rumor surrounding the popular but sometimes annoying former WFAN co-host of Mike and the Mad Dog. Russo somewhat unexpectedly bolted WFAN yesterday for a yet to be determined new gig. Apparently there had been more tension than Mike Francesa and the Mad Dog let on and both felt it was time for a change.

So far today's program (Francesa on the FAN) has been mostly a love fest with one listener actually starting to cry (yes really) when reminiscing about the program. It will be interesting how the new Francesa show turns out and where Russo actually ends up going. Love him or hate him, Russo helped make the show entertaining and it will never be the same. He sometimes hurt your ears when he spoke and he was a certified Yankee hater but his take on the New York sports scene was interesting nonetheless.

What do you think?

CHRIS "MAD DOG" RUSSO

The pioneering "Mike and the Mad Dog" sports talk radio show is finished.

Radio station WFAN in New York announced late Thursday that Chris "Mad Dog" Russo was leaving the station. Mike Francesa will continue to host the show's time slot solo.

Neil Best of Newsday broke the story. Best first reported in June that the ground-breaking duo was likely to break up.

WFAN first paired Francesa and Russo together for "Mike and the Mad Dog" in 1989. The show was two weeks short of its 19th anniversary.

"Mike and the Mad Dog" was the best known and most successful talk show in sports talk history. The duo won a Marconi award in 2000 as "Personality of the Year" for a major market. They were the first sports talk hosts ever to win the award.

They were also a hit financially. WFAN is almost always the top billing radio station in the country. Ironically, money was probably the reason FAN let the 48-year-old Russo go. He made $1.3 million dollars a year and under inept management the station was drowning in red ink. WFAN's parent company reportedly ran up $150 million in debt. That wasn't Russo's fault. "Mike and the Mad Dog" took in a reported $15-17 million dollars every year in ad revenue. Even in a soft advertising economy this year.

Rumors have Russo joining Sirius satellite radio.

Oh, today, I’ll blog about one of my favorite manga that I’ve finished reading last summer – Midori no Hibi, or to put it simply, Midori Days. The main character Midori Kasugano, is in love with the high school delinquent Seiji Sawamura – nicknamed, “Mad Dog” Sawamura, and extremely famous for his “Devil’s Right Hand”. Now, what would happen if Seiji’s precious hand becomes a miniature Midori? Well, that’s definitely what the manga is all about.

Seiji Sawamura (voiced by Kisho Taniyama in Japanese version, and Drew Aaron in English) is a high school student who is known for his amazing fighting skills, but he is not really totally what I call ‘juvenile delinquent’ – he’s just the kind of guy that fights off other bad guys who oppresses the weak. He uses his ‘devil’s right hand’ to fight the bad guys off, but this hand is also the main reason why he couldn’t find a single girlfriend. He has gone through 17 years without one, and at the start of the manga (as well as the anime) this is thoroughly exemplified. Physically, Seiji appears to be a cool, hot guy oozing with sex appeal, *laughs, it’s so ironic how bad guys ends up like that in manga.

Midori Kasugano (voiced by Mai Nakahara in Japanese, and Kether Fernandez in English) on the other hand, is a student of Ogurabashi High School which is a different school from Seiji’s. She has a crush for Seiji for three years, but unfortunately, she is too shy to let him know. She just watches Seiji from afar. She wishes to be with Seiji someday, which actually happened when she became Seiji’s right hand.

The story started with Seiji being rejected by a girl he was courting, and went home depressed because he couldn’t find a girlfriend for himself. Thus, at home he was daydreaming of having one, and surprisingly, he saw that a miniature girl has appeared in his right hand! Midori readily confesses her love for him, and Seiji was initially delighted about this – not until he realized that this isn’t the kind of relationship he dreams of – going out with his right hand. At first he was really harsh with Midori, especially because he couldn’t use his ‘devil’s right hand’ anymore, but as the story progresses, he develops a kind of attraction for her. While the miniature Midori was in Seiji’s right hand, her real body is in state of coma at her house.

Other characters include Takako Ayase (voiced by Reiko Takagi in Japanese, and Mollie Weaver in English) a girl who originally hates Seiji because of his offenses, but later on falls in love with him, Rin Sawamura (voiced by Atsuko Yuya – Zoe Martin), 21-year old sister of Seiji who happens to be a former leader of a street gang, Kota Shingyoji (voiced by Rie Kugimiya – Sebastian Arcelus), Midori’s friend since childhood who has strong feelings for her, but in the later part of the series, he develops feelings for Seiji, Miyahara Osamu (voiced by Hirofumi Nojima – Sean Elias-Reyes), underclassman of Seiji who looks up to Seiji, and who ends up being rescued by Seiji himself, Shiuchi Takamizawa (Yuji Ueda – Joshua Popenoe) a doll maniac who envies Seiji because of the doll-like Midori, and Shiori Tsukishima (Yukari Tamura – Michelle Medlin), a 10-year neighbor who’s in love with Seiji, etc.

There is an anime adaptation of the famous manga written by Kazurou Inoue, in which the original 85 manga chapters are squeezed in the 13-episode-anime. Lots of scenes and characters are lost in the anime though, but I still think that the anime version can still stand on its own.

The manga is published by SS Comics, the same publisher as Inuyasha, but my copy is scanlated by the Snoopy Cool Scans and I want to thank

After his successful operation despite overwhelming odds against the Red Falcon invasion, Lt. William "Mad Dog" Rizer testifies before Congress about the lack of properly supplied equipment.

LT. RIZER: Right. Now, I know that at the time of our deployment, resources were already committed to providing support for the Bionic Commando project, but sending two men to fight an entire army of technologically advanced aliens… I can’t imagine that America needed to close the grapple-arm gap that badly. And our equipment was… well, it was sub-par.

SEN. VAN HOUSEN: It says in our files that you were not issued body armor, is that correct?

LT. RIZER: No ma’am, that’s a misprint.

SEN. VAN HOUSEN: So you were issued body armor?

LT. RIZER: No ma’am. We weren’t even issued shirts. But that wouldn’t have been such an issue if we hadn’t been given substandard weaponry.

What do you do when thousands of aliens attack Earth, destroy entire cities, and slaughter most of m

What do you do when thousands of aliens attack Earth, destroy entire cities, and slaughter most of mankind? Why, you send in a single person armed with whatever gun he can find, of course!

So is the premise of Contra 4 - you control a shirtless tough guy who must take singlehandedly take down an entire army of vicious aliens. With devastating weapons like homing missiles, fireballs, and that classic Spread Gun, you run and gun your way through both screens of the DS. The four starting characters you can play as are all palette-swaps of one another, complete with the same voices. Still, with giant muscles, clichéd tough-guy one liners ("Lock and load!"; "Let's party!"), names like "Scorpion" or "Mad Dog", endless ammo, and an inability to jump without somersaulting 3 or 4 times in the process, these guys' baddassery knows no limit. That is, until they die after one hit. Huh... maybe this won't be so easy...

And it isn't. Contra 4 is easily one of the hardest games I've ever played. On the "Normal" setting, you're expected to complete all 9 grueling levels with 6 lives and limited continues (continuing starts you back at a checkpoint - usually the beginning of the level). Needless to say, it will destroy you. My advice is to try it first on Easy mode. Your weapons are always fully upgraded, enemies are fewer, and they're easier to kill. Even so, it'll probably be more than enough challenge for many people. And when you get to the end of level 7 and enter the alien base, the game ends and tells you to try playing it on a real difficulty if you want to see the ending. This is hardcore, that's for sure.

Despite its crushing difficulty, Contra 4 is still quite a bit of fun. With challenge comes reward, so conquering a level does make you feel like you've accomplished something. The game is also packed with extras, such as artwork, promotional comics for Contra 3 and 4, extra characters (Probotectors!?), and the full NES versions of both Contra and Super C (with the Konami codes intact), among other things. The game may never apologize for completely pwning you throughout, but it does make sure you feel good about the victories you make.

The gameplay itself is exactly how Contra was meant to be - fast-paced, action-packed, and exciting. The two DS screens allow you to see double the amount of beautiful 2D graphics at once, but they also give you twice as many enemies to worry about. Fortunately for you, a new Grappling Hook tool lets you latch on to certain things above you, so you'll be able to explore both screens equally. The bosses also take full advantage of the dual screens. Expertly designed, these bosses always manage to impress. Many are remakes of those seen in the original Contra, but most are new to this game. The boss encounters are some of the most memorable moments of the game - a massive robotic spider that wedges itself between two buildings, a fast moving bug that can only be killed while you ride a hijacked hovercraft, and a long-armed alien that you fight while hanging on to a giant speeding missile... the list goes on and on.

Every once in a while you'll enter a 3D level in which you make your way through an enemy base one room at a time. The 3D graphics aren't quite at the lofty quality of the 2D ones (though I wouldn't say they're bad), and for some reason these levels are very easy - it's not too hard to complete the whole thing in one life. While it may be a nice breather from the otherwise insane 2D levels, the easiness doesn't really fit right with the rest of the game.

An unlockable "Challenge Mode" gives you 40 different scenarios to complete, ranging from limited ammo, getting through a section in a certain amount of time, or killing all the man-faced mutts, to defeating bosses with one life, as well as others. These have no selectable difficulty level, and as a result become some of the hardest parts of the game. However, since many of the unlockables are gained through this mode, you'll want to spend quite a bit of time attempting the challenges. It also helps that these are nice and short - perfect for when you don't have a lot of time, and don't want to begin the normal single player game.

Co-Op is present in Contra 4, but both players need their own copy of the game in order to play it. Luckily for me, Matt (Justmattpwn3r) also has the game, and we were able to try it out. Despite a few cheap deaths resulting from a partner advancing the screen too quickly, it did make the game a lot more easier and fun. Maybe I will see the ending on "Normal" after all...

Even with a sky-high difficulty, Contra 4 is one of the best DS games of 2007. I'd definitely recommend it to any gamer who isn't afraid of a little challenge.

Pros: Crazy and exciting gameplay, excellent level/boss designs, great graphics, rewarding, full of unlockables/extras, nice music, addicting Challenge Mode

Cons: Can be ridiculously hard - sometimes to the point of being unfair, 3D levels with easy difficulties that don't fit in with the rest of the game, Co-Op requires both players to have their own copy of the game

Final Score: 8.5 out of 10

Here’s a collection of three clips with some serious edge:
Mad Dog at Danvers - Taking the car

Here's a collection of three clips with some serious edge:

Mad Dog at Danvers - Taking the careful groove period to task with a wild performance from some of the big names in the scene. They let loose with a lightly choreographed and very driven routine with amazing energy.

Silver Shadows at the Savoy 80th - Probably one of my favorite Silver Shadows routines that doesn't get viewed nearly enough. The energy is great and classic, plus it must have been incredibly intimidating performing in front of all of those old timers.

Jazz Jam 2006 - Very reminiscent of footage from some of the Harvest Moon Ball's with aerial after aerial, tricks and a screaming crowd this is from the 2006 Jazz Jam held after Herrang. A much more European set of dancers really throwing down.

So we got approved for our apt, Whoop!! Apr 5 is move day. I have to say I feel like I haven’t

So we got approved for our apt, Whoop!! Apr 5 is move day. I have to say I feel like I haven't packed anything. I packed up everything hanging on the walls and all the knick-knacks around the house save 1 or 2. Next is the upstairs TV stuff, then the bar and etc. I realize that I have a lot left to do but I have to figure out what we are going to need for the next month.

Anyone that wants to help is more than welcome... now don't all raise your hands at the same time...

as for the rest of yesterday I got DAMN lucky. only one call was outside, and it was during the nicer part. Yeah it was cold, but it wasn't raining and we were really close to St David's. This was a funny call too. We get there and realize it's a bunch of BS. The 2 officers were FTO's so they had the cadets doing everything holding the guy up (he chugged what was left of his MAD DOG as they walked up...wouldn't want to waste it) etc. Well the pt kept saying to the one black officer "Hey it's great to see you [while holding out his hand] I haven't seen you in a long time." The officer was polite but after the 3rd time the officer said to the pt, "Who do you think I am?" The Pt replied "Emmitt Smith"

Unfortunately the rule here is if the pt cannot walk under his own power the jail nurse will not let them stay and have them sent to the hospital.... I know I know, that's what drunk tanks are for right??? I tried and tried to get him to walk without assistance but to no avail. Every time we let go of him he began to fall. I load him up in the truck sat him in the drunk seat. He proceeded to refuse to put his seatbelt on. Finally I told him we weren't going anywhere until he buckled up.

He said "why do you care?"

Me: "It's my job"

Him: "So what do you do for a living?"

Me: "look around what do you think I do for a living?"

Him: "Are you a Ghostbuster?"
