wow i havent done this in awhile... a long while. so this post im sorry to say is going to be a shrine to September 9th and 10th 2008 in which i am going to go see the kooks in concert. excitment. so if you hate silly fangirls then you should stop reading now. i hate silly fangirls as well, but theres a time in everyones life when you just need to jump up and down screaming with excitement and happiness.

the only good thing that i think comes out of these tickets are the fact that they force me to do my summer work that i should have started in june considering school starts in what? less then 3 weeks. =\.
all i have to say is IM SO F***ING EXCITED ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. but i have to get my work done first.

so heres the thing. i dont get excited about things... ever. like when i was younger my mom would get so annoyed by the fact that i could sleep all day on christmas when most kids are up at like 6 in the morning rushing for their presents. its a bit of a different situation now though. the only reason im not AS excited as i will be as im waiting in line to get in is because of the possibilty of it all going totally wrong. its not a great feeling to jump up and down scream your head off so on and so forth just to get disappointed. i probably sound like a pessimist who needs to just live her life right? i agree but then again i'd rather be safe then sorry(usually at least =)

i think this is going to be a long post =\. ah well. ok so since my last post concerning the kooks i have become an extreme fan. when i wrote that post i had pretty much just found out about them. which be the reason i came across that information because i was attempting to catch up on all that i had missed out in within the last 2-3 years they've been around. so once i finished all my catching up im not sure what happened but i was just got wrapped into the fan world. not the usual though like crying yourself to sleep because you want to see/meet them or seripiously obsessing to the point of possible stalking them, threatening to marry them. no. i am not that kind of fan(although i do have a bit of the attack them on a street corner kinda thing in me). more like relating to other people when it comes to their music. this is gunna get sappy but thanks to the kooks i have met LOADS of great people who are currently some of my best friends. the internets a dangerous place for stupid people. but if you have a brain and arent going out meeting people you've never met alone/talking to strange creepy guys who say they love you and then going to meet them in a dark alley somewhere, well then the internets a great resource for all kinds of things. i should have been in bed 9 minutes ago. well im not sure where i was really going with all of this but if you got something out of it hey, ive done what i suppose i was suppose to do(bleh that sounds stupid) and if you were simply annoyed by my rambles or corniness and fangirlishness im sry for wasting your time.

i end this post with go find a band whose music makes you fall in love(with the music, not necessarily the members but there always an added plus ;) ) and find other people who feel the same =). lemme guess i sound like a twat.

My favorite songs from Konk Lte are By My Side, Watching The Ships Roll In, Eaten By Your Lover, No Longer, Nothing Ever Changes and Fa la la. Ladies and Gents, that's six out of eight songs! The last two songs are really good too but not favorites. Six out of eight! I call that success. I have never before had so many favorites in one album before! That is why i from the bottom of my heart DEMAND that everybody get their hands on these songs! And if there is a Kooks concert within a radar of 150 miles, BUY THE DAMN TICKETS.

Thank you God for blessing us with Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris, Paul Garred and Max Rafferty... And im not even religious.

The other members of The Kooks sent out search parties all day before their Saturday evening gig at Scotland's music festival, T In The Park. This isn't the first time the lead singer has shrugged off his responsibilities and gone MIA.

There was a reported stabbing of a young man during the festival, too. Some fans must have hoped it wasn't Luke. But, thankfully, Luke turned up for the opening chord stating he felt like "sh*t." Looks like he pulled another Jim Morrison.

The Sun gave the performance only a 6.5 out of 10.

so my favorite band=the kooks. not because i think there all super hot and think hott sex with them would be fun. but because i enjoy their music. they are like all my favorite genre's mixed into one. and there lyrics i believe to be sincere and just an added plus who can resist that british accent. now people may not agree with me which i dont give a shit about that. BUT. how can i like a band when all over the media "The Kooks are Dickheads"... not my favorite thing to hear about. i've only just recently found out about this band which makes it odd that there already my favorite band b.c. im pretty faithful to a band once there claimed my favorite and it usually takes awhile for them to be claimed that way. so of course ive been youtubing them finding out as much as i can that ive missed from the past two years. i found all their interviews very interesting and have made up my own opinion on them, which was a good opinion. but then i google them specifically luke pritchard...

how does a guy wanting to fuck carmen electra make a guy an asshole???? i have not seen one thing that would give me the idea that hes an asshole. and ive been watching videos with him speaking not just things saying opinions about him. theres always more of course but ive already ranted to other people about it that i dont even remember the rest. but no, im URG.

Dominik sucht die Superfrau

Heute bin ich endlich an diesem Punkt angelangt, an dem ich meine Exfreundin als richtig scheiße empfunden habe. Ich habe nichts wirklich empfunden, außer Frust, Ärger und Wut. Nicht einmal die von mir angestrebte Freundschaft wäre jetzt noch von außergewöhnlicher Bedeutung. Und deswegen wage ich mich hier, in diesem Blog, auf die Castingbühne. Ich fordere nun hiermit alle lieben Leser auf, sich auf die Suche nach einem Mädchen einer Frau für mich zu machen.

Klingt blöd? Ist es wohl auch. Aber irgendwann lässt man einfach keinen Versuch aus. Was braucht so ein Castingaufruf? Eine Beschreibung von dem, was gesucht wird, und die Beschreibung des Gewinnes. Das wäre dann ich.

Und damit möchte ich gleich beginnen. Also mit mir.

Das bin ich.

Ich bin nun schon zwanzig Jahre alt, sehe aber für manche Verkäuferinnen aus wie U18. Das wäre auf längere Sicht sicher kein Nachteil, denn mit fünfzig würde ich immer noch wie wunderhübsche Achtundvierzig oder darunter aussehen. Und, zugegeben, mit mir könnte man kein Austrians Next Top-Male-Model gewinnen. Aber irgendwann einmal, vor ca. einem Jahr hatte ich beim kurzen Blicken in den Spiegel die selben Locken wie Luke Pritchard (Leadsänger von The Kooks). Das war einer meiner Höhepunkte. Letztes Weihnachten war ich hingegen am ehesten vergleichbar mit George Michael während seiner Wham-Last-Christmas-Zeit. So viel zu meinen Haaren. Mein Körper ist nicht sportlich begabt, aber ich bin perfekt zum Knuddeln und darauf einschlafen und zum Hand um mich rumlegen.

Ich habe die Matura (das viel schwierigere österreichische Abitur), habe meinen Zivildienst abgeleistet und werde in Kürze, sozusagen ab Oktober, in WIen studieren. Publizistik und Kommunikationswissenschaften zum einen, und möglicherweise schon dieses, aber höchstwahrscheinlich erst ab nächstem Jahr Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaften. Ich bin ein begeisterter Schreiber, wie man hier im Blog sieht, lese wirklich gerne und sehe mir viele Filme an. Wobei man sagen kann, dass sich mein wählerischer Filmgeschmack erst vor kurzem so richtig entwickelt hat. Und außerdem höre ich viel Musik. Songwriter vor allem oder Deutschsprachiges. Seit kurzem gehe ich auch auf viele Konzerte und manchmal versuche ich sogar, das Leben zu genießen.

Im übrigen bin ich pflegeleicht und stubenrein. Ich mache kein Problem und höchstwahrscheinlich entwickle ich mich zum vollkommenen Hausmann. Ich befand mich vor fünf Monaten für ungefähr sechs Wochen in Therapie, wohne zurzeit noch bei meinen Eltern und habe den Führerschein. Ich habe große Träume. Ich möchste Journalist, Schriftsteller und Schauspieler werden. Vor allem sehe ich mich seit kurzem als Künstler. Und außerdem glaube ich immer an das Gute im Menschen.

Das suche ich.

Bedingt durch meine Heterosexualität suche ich eine Frau. Im Alter zwischen 18 und 21 Jahren. So sollte intelligent sein, von vielem eine Ahnung und sollte nichts gegen Nikotin haben. Weiters sollte sie richtig große schöne Augen haben. Mit einem Funkeln und einem Leuchten. Augen sind für mich sehr wichtig. 0815-Augen hauen mich nie vom Hocker. Die Haarfarbe ist egal, genauso wie eigentlich alles andere. Zugegeben, ich bin sehr wählerisch. Aber sie sollte Humor haben, und gerne sprechen, und auch gerne zuhören. Und sie soll nicht allzuoft erwarten, dass ich in einem Schwall zu reden beginne, wenn ich mit ihr alleine bin. Da genieße ich meistens die Stille und die Zweisamkeit.

Vom Kleidungsstil würde ich eine Frau bevorzugen, die einfach anzieht, was ihr gefällt, und dabei auch noch hübsch aussieht. Irgendeine klischeehafte Kleidung finde ich relativ klischeehaft. Die Persönlichkeit soll schon mächtig gestärkt sein, und man sollte nie meinen, man bräuchte Zeit, um zu sich selbst zu finden, und da hätte ich einfach keinen Platz. Weiters sollte man grundehrlich sein, und was noch am schrecklichsten ist (und ich dachte, so etwas gäbe es in wirklich nicht): nicht beziehungsunfähig. Und das Lachen soll mich begeistern. So gut wie nicht gekünstelt, ein helles Lachen und einen wunderschönen Mund.

Weiters sollte sie irgendwann einmal Kinder bekommen wollen, sollte Zukunftsträume haben und irgendwo in der Nähe des Bezirkes Gmunden oder in Wien wohnen.

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner visited a The Kooks concert, and started pulling out plugs on The Kooks singer Luke Pritchard's guitar-pedals. He, on his turn, kicked Turner in the face.

Pritchard: "I tried to patch things up with Alex recently but he just turned his back and walked away. I suppose they are quite arrogant."

Arctic Monkeys fan-reaction: "Sorry Luke, you'll just have to deal with always being in Alex's shadow."

It's almost like Noel Gallagher vs Damon Albarn, only now with two gay bands.

The lead singer, Luke Pritchard, is a rock star in the best possible way; part Mick, part Keith, but those vocals are all his. He struts and stamps, and his voice is insanely beautiful - he did some solo numbers that were amazing - but when he speaks the accent's so thick you only catch every fifth word. But the little girls don't care, they were eating him up with a spoon.

An aside, it took your intrepid and, normally, clever girl reporter eight years of living in LA to figure out that the Wiltern, on the corners of Wilshire and Western, is a combination of the words Wilshire and Western. Way to go intrepid and not so clever girl reporter!

Venga, un poco de sensacionalismo británico made in NME para animar la tarde del viernes. Aunque parezca que Alex Turner -el cantante de Arctic Monkeys- no haya roto nunca un plato, ya tiene su primer enemigo: nada más y nada menos que el también prepúber Luke Pritchard, cantante de ese grupo británico que tanto gusta a las chicas (¿por qué?) llamado The Kooks. Pritchard le contó al The Daily Mirror (adalid del rigor periodisto, como la mayoría de periódicos británicos) que las dos bandas no se pueden ni ver. "Tenemos una relación rara con Arctic Monkeys desde la primera vez que coincidimos". Qué monos ellos. Y da la exclusiva, el bombazo, la noticia del año: "Le tuve que pegar en la cara después de que tratara de estirar de los cables de mis pedales de guitarra mientras estábamos en el escenario". ¡Oh! Y cuenta el pobre Luke que después trató de arreglar las cosas con Turner pero que éste pasó de él. Que triste historia, ¿verdad? A mí me da que se gustan y aún no lo han hecho público, pero todas las canciones ñoñas de ambos grupos están dedicadas entre ellos. ¿Se imaginan? Vale, ya me callo...

Nous sommes le Mardi 06 Mai, rendez vous chez EMI, pour voir en live les nouveautés 2008 que nous propose la marque au logo rouge. Au programme Revolver, Vincent Vincent and the Villains et The Kooks !

On entre dans le studio d'Emi avec son acoustique parfaite et découvrons Revolver. Un trio français composé de deux guitares et un violoncelle qui chantent en anglais (histoire de changer) une pop de chambre, très agréable à écouter. La voie me fait un peu penser à du Cocoon, sans la touche dépressive et avec le grand sourire du chanteur, qui communique avec le public pendant les 40 minutes qui lui sont accordé sur sa chaise guitare en main. Si vous voulez vous relaxer avec un revolver, aller donc sur le myspace du groupe pour voir les dates et écouter -> Myspace Revolver

Alors que nous essayons,de nous inflitrer devant, les londoniens de Vincent, Vincent and the Villains, vétu de boléro. ET le concert commence fort avec une de leur meilleur chanson de Gospels Bombs « Cinema », parfait pour rentrer rapidement dans le concert ! Le chanteur se donne à fond sur chaque chanson retro, les guitares sont tendues en l'air, et la petite fosse commence à bouger et aimer ce nouveau groupe londonien ! Qui ne propose pas forcement quelque choses d'innovant, mais du rock comme on l'aime. Les quatres anglais enchainent ensuite en jouant les principaux titre de leurs albums, « On my own », « Beast », « Pretty Girl » et « Telephone ». Vincent part dans tous les sens, cependant on s'attend à un peu plus de prise de risque, car il n'y a rien de nouveau entre l'album et le concert. Malgré ça rien à reprocher au londonien, qui quittent la scène après 45 minutes intenses et tout en sueur.

Il est 22h, les technicians viennent faire les balances pour les Kooks, quinze minute après Luke et ses musiciens rentrent en scène sous les applaudissements du public, Luke bierre à la main et joyeux en redemande! Le groupe commence directement par le single de Konk « Always Where I Need To Be », Luke sans instrument profite de la proximité avec le public et des ses groupies mec au chapeau qui font tout pour lui arracher un bout de sa chemise téton ! Puis le groupe enchaine sur ses tubes,  et ses sons rock ! Luke communique et joue avec le public, il monte sur les amplis, guitare en l'air. Je découvre un chanteur rock, qui fait tout pour déchaîner ses groupies. Le premier single du groupe « ooh la » est repris par tout le public, puis vient l'une des rares satifaction de Konk « Sway ».. Le groupe alterne les sons de son premier et second album. Pritchard se la joue solo, sur One last Time en version acoustique. Le public réclame Mr Maker, mais le groupe nous dit d'attendre. Au final un concert de 15 chansons, qui m'a permis de changer d'avis sur Kooks, un groupe vraiment très bon sur scéne et des chansons plus rock. Une communication parfaite avec le public, même si la présence des 50 appareil photo et du perpétuel « touche moi je suis le plus beau » du chanteur mettant les musiciens en second plan peut devenir agaçant. Un live qui m'a fait oublier la déception de Konk !

Le chanteur Luke Pritchard lui a ainsi déjà donné un titre, Konk, qui provient du nom du studio londonien où les Anglais ont passé sept semaines à l'enregistrer - le groupe a également passé quelque temps à Los Angeles avec Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air, The Fratellis...), qui fut déjà aux manettes d'Inside In/Inside Out mais dont le rôle semble moins important que par le passé. « Tony est un génie, mais nous avons cette fois voulu nous impliquer plus dans la production, a expliqué Pritchard au NME. Nous voulions un son moderne, mais chaud et assez roots. » Seize chansons ont d'ores et déjà été enregistrées, mais toutes ne devraient pas apparaître sur l'album final. Konk devrait sortir le 31 mars.

Le chanteur guitariste du groupe Luke Pritchard déclare qu'ils ont entre 80 et 90 chansons prêtes à être enregistrées. Parmis celle ci ‘Do You Wanna Make Love To Me', ‘Sway', ‘See The Sun' et ‘Hard To Bear' ont de grandes chances d'être dans le prochain album.
