People!!!! You gotta watch this?!

We love Ms Mariah Carey here at PinBoard, but watching this was not only juicy and hilarious, it was also super sad! (lol!). Mimi was caught Miming (like what we did there?), LIVE on Good Morning America! Oh, shizznizzle! At one point, during "Touch My Body" you hear Mariah SING "Stop Singing My Parts" to her back up singers - lmao - SOMEONE DUN' GOT THEMSELVES FIRED THAT DAY!!

It was clear that it wasn't her backup singers fault (hey, when in doubt, blame the "help" right?), but instead Mariah's [shameful] pre-recording messing up. It was terrible!. Hearing Mariah struggle (towards the end) is just awful, this chick needs some vocal rest! To be fair, her vocals have been getting some serious flexing for a while now but...Oh. Boi.

She also performed "That Chick" and "Bye Bye", both weren't as 'painful' as "Touch My Body" but still, this show definitely wasn't one of MC's highest moments! Check em' out

Ok so let me start with...

It was supposed to be an AWESOME movie.... It won 2 Oscars with another 46 wins & 40 nominations. Am I crazy for not liking it? Maybe I am, or maybe the critics are on something. Give me some of what they have! I am VERY glad I did not see this movie in the theater (I had thought about it). I am a bit disappointed I rented it from Blockbuster and not Redbox because it would have been cheaper.

The movie was very slow. It jumped forward in time without making note of it. At times it had me scratching my head and WORST of all I thought the ending was so stupid.  The cinematography was good I will give the critics that but everything else pretty much blew. I liked the acting. I HATED the score (background music, sounds, etc). The movie gave me a headache.

Speaking of this movie. My husband came home yesterday and told me his co-worker bought There Will Be Blood. He then told me of the conversation that transpired.

 My husband: "did you open it yet?"

His co-worker "No... WHY?

My husband "DON'T, rent it first and then decide if you want to own it".

So it is not just me people. I give the movie 2 stars with a reminder to myself not to watch anymore Academy Award Winners before hearing a review from someone who has seen it first.

Next let's go with...

I saw the cover of this movie and thought "why have I not heard anything about this movie before". Usually that is a bad sign... though I have found a couple of good movies that way. The movie had some really good actors in it. One being Jennifer Connelly, who happens to be one of my husband's favorites because he thinks she is hot, not because of her acting skills (even though he will tell you otherwise). I do not think she is hot but I do like her acting.

The acting was pretty good. The story was ok nothing out of the ordinary. Everything else was alright. This movie was very depressing. After the movie ended I seriously was crying and I was feeling horrible. I was like WTF.  (read: I had no idea why I was crying). I do not know if I would have liked this movie more if I had not been a parent but since I am one I guess I will never know.

Note: I do hope I never have to find out what the parents were going through. I give the movie 3 stars. If you like depressing movies then watch this one.

Usually one saves the best for last but not me...

I was ALWAYS a fan of this T.V. show. I was very excited when I heard the movie was being made and even more so when it came out. I wanted to see it in the theater but never got a chance to, so when it came out on DVD I just HAD rent it. I wanted to buy it but my husband would not "let me" because he was did not have a much faith in the movie as I did. I am very glad he did not "allow" me to purchase it.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed in this movie. I did not like the acting (even though I like the actors), the music was way to trendy (I am not even that old), and a lot of the movie seemed forced (read: they were trying too hard). I think the movie was directed at the tween and teen age groups. I should have paid more attention to the movie poster. The movie was so bad my two children were not even interested in it... Let me take that back and instead say the only parts my kids liked were the singing ones.

I have one friend who LOVED this movie (she happens to be just outside of a teenager).  I think true Alvin and the Chipmunk fans will be just as disappointed as I was. This movie gets 1 star.

I can now sleep soundly at night and the payment's in the mail...    ^_^

I've already gone googoo gaga over this hot chub, but what even sealed the deal was the fact that he's involved with a comedy group/lip-synching band that specializes in 1980's rock music called Never Surrender.  Nice Corey Hart tribute there...  Unless it was a reference to Van Damme's earliest flick, No Retreat, No Surrender.

The '80s was such a wickedly gay decade which was probably why it's my favorite.

Ah, yes, another child of the '80s!  I'm like so in love for sure...

Yep, the Coachella Valley Music Festival may even have MORE hidden acts yet to come... they like to make people like myself (who opted out of going this year), regret that decision for life, or at least until next year. Truthfully I'm more upset about missing Aphex Twin and Goldfrapp than I am about Prince. I mean, I can always go to cheap stripper night in some small town and check out the local lip-synching tranny as they strut around in a purple cape made entirely out of plush carpet. It's pretty much the same shit.

O-kay, it IS kinda cool, I'm just bitter at Goldenvoice, and the other Coachella jerks that decided to play with my heart like it was a friggin' slinky.

No word as to what day Prince will be there, whether or not he will be headlining or working one of the sweat tents... but we know for sure that he'll be there sometime between April 25th and 27th, and he is going to make some Indio dreams a reality.

As for me... I'll be here... trying not to throw myself into the coulee.

Paula has already recorded her first song, in which she performed lip-synching at the recent Super Bow, called Dance Like There's No Tomorrow.
And believe it or not people, she was really dancing like there wasn't any tomorrow.

She also hinted that a full studio album is in the works and will probably be released in the summer.

"Everything felt right. The song was amazing. I'm dancing...wait until you see me. I'm doing things that you won't believe, that I don't even believe." Paula quoted.

Hilary Duff's Dignity is intact, her camp says. The Most Wanted singer is adamantly denying rumors she wasn't all there during a stop on her 2008 Dignity tour in Monterrey, Mexico, this weekend, after footage of the concert, in which she appears to be mouthing words into a microphone, made the Internet rounds.

"She was not lip-synching," Duff's rep said in a statement confirmed by E! News. "It was faulty equipment. There was no sound coming out, but she was singing."

They were relying on locally provided equipment during Saturday's show, the rep said. The mike was accidentally set on mute for a few seconds, after which the problem was solved and Duff's voice carried the day. The Cinderella Story star does her own singing in concert, her publicist said. So, spare the comparisons to Ashlee Simpson, Britney Spears and the various popsters who have in the past needed a little electronic enhancement onstage.

Hilary Duff has three more stops in Mexico this week, including a show Monday night in Puebla, before moving on to Brazil and Australia.

The 20-year-old former Disney Channel star is slated to return to the big screen this year in the coming-of-age drama Greta, costarring Ellen Burstyn and Evan Ross, in which she plays a headstrong waitress whose family doesn't condone her interracial romance.

Duff has also lent her voice to the self-explanatory animated tale Foodfight!, also due in theaters this year.

I know this doesn't have much to do with tv, but it sure is entertaining. Possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Jan Terri. Please note the bad lip synching, among many other things.

Oh how I miss the days when I could just watch you dance and lipsynch. Pre- Kfed, Pre-rehab, and Pre-headshaving.  Back when you and JT were the best couple ever.

We're not talking about international films dubbed into English, here. That list could go on forever and would include everything from Roberto Benigni's English language version of "Pinocchio" to the U.S. release version of "Godzilla on Monster Island" (released in Japan as "Chikya kogeki meirei: Gojira tai Gaigan"). No, my list, culled only from American films, would have to include Steve McQueen in "Baby, the Rain Must Fall." As an angry, ex-con folksinger (is that an oxymoron?), he has to belt out the theme song in a roadhouse cafe, dubbed by Glenn Yarbrough. When I say it's an example of the worst lip synching, I don't mean that McQueen's lips rarely match the voice but that Yarbrough's voice is so completely wrong for McQueen as well as the style of song. It's one of those moments that stop the movie cold and screams FAKE! McQueen's character in the film - Henry Thomas - is a tight-lipped brooder who rarely reveals his inner emotions except while singing and it's painful to watch him emoting to "Baby, the Rain Must Fall". It's simply not worthy of the method-actor tics he's pouring into the pantomine. They should have chosen a song with real pain and anger in it, preferably a blues tune, and chosen a singer whose voice matched McQueen's. I wonder what McQueen thought of this particular scene and if it caused him embarrassment later? Despite his fine work in the rest of the film, passionate folk singing simply doesn't fit McQueen's minimalistic, super-cool acting style or screen persona. By the way, country/pop singer Glen Campbell makes his first film appearance here as one of McQueen's band members.

Another time I can remember feeling genuine embarrassment for an actor was in "Hong Kong Confidential" (1958) when Gene Barry, playing a spy masquerading as a lounge singer (I'm not making this up!), bursts into an impromptu musical performance that borders on the spazmotic! It doesn't really qualify for the "worst lip synching" category because Barry is using his own voice but it's a squirm-inducing moment that you'll want to watch repeatedly because it is as transfixing as a slo-mo car wreck.
