Taking a look at the stats, we had atleast 25 posts on 29^th and 30^th of August on the occasion of Bloggers’ Day. I also saw Gtalk status of many people telling about their latest posts (in some cases their first posts) which would take the count to atleast 30 posts for the Bloggers’ Day and this can’t be termed as any mean achievement. We also had 4 posts coming today which can also be counted as Bloggers’ Day posts thus taking the count to 35. :D

Lets us all raise a toast to all the bloggers for making this day a memorable one. The biggest plus coming on this day was some of the UG3 bloggers coming to party. We were quite disappointed with UG3 but finally they too proved their mettle.  Cheers to u guys J

Though I would have loved to see some blogging from UG2 & UG1, may be next time we can hope to see some activity from these guys.

One post which celebrated the spirit of Bloggers’ day in real sense was this; where Vishnu Fafat rates the best posts of Bloggers’ day. Must read, I’ll say.

Due to the pathetic condition of net in hostels wasn’t able to publish this post till now. So now publishing it from MS.

I have been preparing for this day since the last few days, haven't written any posts even though I had my ideas clinging to my mind but I wanted to do a BLOGATHOM today and I am all set to go.

Well let's hope I can do this BLOGATHOM today.

For the first time, I am not writing posts for comments or hits, it is for a purpose, atleast I have to do something for the initiative I have taken. I know it would have meant more hits and comments (which has historically been one of my prima focus) had I written these posts over a period of time but sometimes the importance of things change.

Update: Written 3 posts as of yet, lets see how many more I can write.

Update2: Net in unbelievably bad in my room, havnt been able to see the Create New Post since yesterday night :( Of all days this had to happen today... Why God?? Why??

FInally net is working, I will start posting now.. :)

Wise people have always said, Be satisfied with what you get, that's what we are doing. I wouldn't say that the no was good but I would say it was ok, considering the blogging situation in IIIT. There were about 5-6 UG2 guys and a similar number of UG1 ad 3 M. Tech people, so all in all 15 new people.  Not to my surprise, there was a dismal attendance from UG3, 2 people who stayed through the meet while 2-3 people had come for some technical meet, they also attended the meet for some time. Though I am not much disappointed by this, even we are more interested in UG2 and UG1 people taking up blogging, coz guys in 3^rd and 4^th year have been here long enough to be inspired or made to start something new. Again, as expected the maximum attendance was from our batch. There was only one alumnus, Devansh Sir. Btw Abbulu, this is bad!!!

So coming to the meet, it was a nice affair in all. I don't know about others but I sure enjoyed it. The meeting started about 30-45 minutes according to Indian timing. We started the meeting with me blabbering something about Blogging in IIIT, telling guys about Blogroll (Thanks a lot SMR!! You are a God send for us Bloggers), easily the best thing ever to happen to IIIT Bloggers,IIITBuzz, the next best thing, which is succeeded by the controversial IIIT Post. Also telling people about some of the successful bloggers of IIIT and showing them a list of all the bloggers from diff batch.

It was followed by Maroo, talking about things like Why Blog?? Qualities of a good blog!! And also spoke about Blogging Etiquettes. Got to agree, it was quite good and people were listening with rapt attention to all the points he had prepared.

Then we had Kulbir talking about his Blog and all the financial benefits he had as a result of writing the blog. Never knew he was this rich. Come on Kulbir you owe us a party for earning sooooo much.

After this we had Sashidhar, speaking about his blog, reasons for him taking up blogging. His speech had all the people reeling in laughter. Best part was when he forgot a point and took out a paper in which he had written all this, and after reading it, once he started speaking, Again forgot what he was speaking.

Then we had the "60 Seconds TO Fame", ala Indi Bloggers meet Hyderabad chapter.

After all this we had the best part of the meet, when we opened each others blogs and started marofying each other's. It was quite fun and again in this part Sashidhar took the cake, with his awesome poetry, and Jimmi's comment on the post was added to the fun, you could feel his frustration in his comment. :P This post of him was also liked a lot, specially the first and third pics :P

After having this fun for some time, finally it started raining and we had to leave :(

Finally, I don't know about others, but I sure enjoyed a lot in the meet. We have also taken the email ids of interested people and we will be holding the Bloggers' Club meeting some time sure, just waiting for some blogging activity to start in IIIT.

Desperately waiting for 30^th August, I hope the "Seniors" ( !Alumni) don't betray us on that day, sun rahe hain na Pati Sir??? ;)

Bloggers Day

Disappointed by the complete absence of junior students of college from the blogosphere, be it reading or writing. We the bloggers of UG2K5 , the "Blogging Batch" of IIIT today held a meeting to discuss ways to increase the awareness among people and encourage atleast a few non-bloggers to turn into bloggers. Almost all the active bloggers of our batch were present and it was quite a fruitful session with a horde of ideas being churned out in the meet. Lets hope that the efforts we take are transformed into activity and we can see more and more bloggers keeping the flag of blogging flying up and high once we leave the college.

Quite a few interesting ideas come up, the two most important ones being, all the IIITians must have got a mail from me regarding this.

a)  Bloggers Day - Starting from this year we will be celebrating 30^th august as the Bloggers' day in IIIT. For this we need the help of all the bloggers of IIIT, we urge all the bloggers (active & the dormant ones too) to atleast write a post on this day to mark the revival (hopefully)of blogging culture in IIIT. We can make it a IIIT blogathon, everybody doing their bit to promote this day. For this we also need the help of all the alumni and I hope that you guys would also appreciate our effort and try to make this a successful event.

b)  Bloggers Meet - On 25^th August, we are planning to hold a bloggers meet where we will try and encourage the people to come out of their shells and blog and blog and blog. We would like to introduce atleast a few people to this wonderful world of blogosphere. The point is not only about blog writing, the people these days are not even reading blogs. There used to be many people who though didn't write posts but were always active readers and commentors but nowadays this is not to be seen. Even a blog like IIITPost is getting comments only from the alumni and 4^th years that's it. I haven't seen any guy from 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd year commenting on it. Coming to the writing part, I can only see one active bloggers from a combined population of more than 500 people in 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd years which is an indication of the sorry state of affairs in IIIT.
The meeting also saw the formation of Bloggers Club in IIIT with the following people as its founding members.

1. Numbers - If somebody asks me what is the most important thing in your life then it would be surely numbers and calculations. My first love has always been calculations since the time I can remember. Never does it happen that I see two numbers and I don't play around with them adding, subtracting,multiplying and dividing them. Even while driving on road, seldom does it happen that I am not dividing the registration no of a vehicle by the code for the city in which it is registered and I really hate the nos when they don't divide completely and I have been unlucky enough that all the vehicles we have owned all have had such pairs which don't divide, namely 9059 & 32, 1556 & 80 (closest to divisibilty) , 6003 & 7

Another strange thing with numbers is that I have always had affinity for some numbers like I generally like multiples of 5 and always prefer a Composite number over a Prime number that is why numbers like 17,19 and all are a strict NO NO for me.

2. Symmetry - I have always been a fan of symmetry all my life, I always want things to be symmetrical and I always try to do my best to preserve. One example is, if on a swtich board there are 4 switches and if the first one is turned (and all others are off)then the third one should also be turned on just to mantain thats why I used to turn on the fan at my home while pointing the regulator to 0, always puzzling my family!!

3. Patterns - I always have been a fan of following patterns. When I was in Lucknow, for 5 years straight I followed the pattern of going out of the colony one way and coming back to my home the other way, though it was quite an ordeal at times specially since one way was longer and I had to follow it while going to school but I dutifully followed my schedule and kept the practise going. Even in college before the pavement was built in the middle of the lawn type of thing which is in front of OBH. I used to come one way and many times I had to walk alone because my friends just wouldnt come with me from the particular side and many times I had to run to save myself from being dragged by them to come with them the other way. Finally I left this pattern after the pavement was built because 1) a new way was there so I won't be guilty of breaking the custom and 2) My friends were becoming more and more troublesome, trying to force me to break my custom.

4. Getting lost - This is a very strange habbit of mine.. I get lost at times, and the very special thing is that it is not like I am transported to some other world. I am quite aware of my surroundings and keep listening to what people are talking but somehow lose my ability to react and move for the time being while being aware that I am in the state. After some time I automatically come back to being Normal.

5. Songs - NOw there is one thing with me that if I like a particular song then that song just doesnt leave my playlist for quite some time. Generally if I like a song then that song isnt out of my playlist until the count is atleast 100 and my playlist all this time consists f only that one song being played endlessly, which very often brings the wrath of my firends who get irritated by this!! :P

6. Hindi - If there is one thing I am particular about then it is the Hindi of the person whom I am talking to. I just can't listen to anybody speaking Hindi errnoeusly without pointing out frustating quite a few people quite some time, but somehow it make me itchy if the person in front of me is speaking wrong Hindi so I have to correct him/her whatever be the consequence.

There were 4 stars of that day Me, Pagare, Raman and PK and I am pretty sure none of us is gonna forget that day in any hurry and also some other people who came in contact with our charming personalities that day. N.W. was given a lesson in dictionary reading by PK, A.S.R was pestered by Raman, Pagare frightened a certain K.K and was asked to leave his room while I was with the people in 1-12 wing gaining some knowledge and taking books from them while my name was being changed from Himank to Himesh to Hiten and what not for the guards. While the owner of Room No 238 wont like to remember the day and be reminded about the condition of his bed sheet and his room.

All this description might have flummoxed you out of your senses if you arent aware of the the events of the day (or should I say night) but I am majboor at the hands of this jalim zamana and can't write much about it here.

This 12th July the number grew two folds and instead of the 4 original heroes that day we had 9 this time around and though you can't reach the stars every day but this was a fitting anniversary of the illustrous day and we enjoyed as much as we could but we missed two of the original members of the illustrious gang, PK n Pagare who are out of station :(  Both of you, you missed something!!!

This post won't mean much to almost all of you but for me this is a way to remember the day, for sure one of the best and most dramatic day of my life, a day which will linger long in my memory, a day which I would recount even years later with the same details. This post is just a way for me to recollect and relive those memories and just a way for me to read about it some time down the line and have a chuckle at myself.

The importance of the day can be seen by the fact that yesterday(13th July) me, Vipul, Raman, Mathur all had status messages regarding this day and the memorableness (if this is a word) of it. :)

PS2:- I have a meeting today with my Dev manager and instead of working I am publishing this faltu ka post.. :P

If I say that this has been the most eventful year of my life then it might not be a fallacy altogether. This has been a year of highs (literal and metaphorical) , lows, success, failure, happiness, hurt, finding new friends, rekindling friendship with some, deteriorating relationships with some. I think I have seen it all this year.

One of the biggest event this year was undoubtedly Felicity, 2008, it will sure be a memory of a lifetime.

Had many career issues had to decide on the path to chart after I am done with my B. Tech, started off the year garnering ambitions of a MS, which changed to thinking about MBA and finally now deciding upon job (lazy ass that I am, kaun padhe yaar)

Had one of the best and worst times which I could have with a friend.

Had one of the most painful time and it did hurt and the happiness on the ending of that phase was just exemplary to say the least.

Had the leisure of having two homes in the city where I don’t have any LGs and the pleasure to go there and have a ball while eating good homely food.

Had the good luck of my sister coming to Hyderabad for a job, making 1 out of the 2 homes I mentioned above.

Had the displeasure of trying to handle politicians in the college and realizing that there are very few people you can trust.

Had the realization that somehow I get all too senti about people and things even if they don’t mean that much to me and go overboard in praising them, should try to control this trait in future..

Had 2 road accidents this year, the most for any year till now. :P

Had 3 of the most beautiful accidents (not sure I can call them accidents) of my life :)

Went to quite different levels in some things which need not discussed here.

One of the highlight of this year was me discovering the music of Beatles, a thing I am sure is gonna influence my whole life, I just cant seem to get enough of them.

I am pretty sure that a few years down the line, I am gonna remember this year as one of the most important in my life and a turning point in many things for me. A few many know, few are known to a select few and some might die with me. This has been a year of a lot of firsts for me and except the points mentioned above, I am sure there is not going to be a recollection of my past in my future which will not consist of this present (this year). I am not sure if I can classify this as a happy year or a time of misfortune for me (there has been a bounty of both), rather classify this as mélange which is the case with the life of all of us but I am thankful for all the experiences I had this year, whether they have been good or bad but they have taught me a lot.

One thing more is passing 3rd year makes you feel all grown up as you are now in the final year of your college and ready to step in the big bad world. Ready to face the real music and test the success or failure of the years of preparation you have been doing for this stage of your life.

All in all, a year to cherish consisting of tears and laughters galore, sometimes even tears of happiness and at other times laughter in the face of adversity and heartbreak. Just getting a taste of life and though I lost a few very precious things which never could be mine but still I am loving it.

I sincerely don’t have any idea why engineering is kept a 4 year course in IIIT. We have already finished al our compulsory courses by the 5th semester and now it all just seems like a futile exercise. Why can’t we have the concept of internships or projects like they have in BITS. Instead what you are left to do is a bunch of bullshit courses which come under the category of Open Electives or HSSM courses which require nothing save mugging at the 11th hour and almost always are never gonna help you much in your future life , Come on how can a subject like Crop Rotation help me?? And I know much more about Indian Culture then which is taught in some crap course, name of which I don’t remember. Waise I havn't taken any of these two courses.. :)

I don’t know whether my attention span has decreased because I am bored with studies in general or is it because of the things which are being taught to me. This may sound very clichéd because each and everybody complains about the same thing. Thing is I have always been a listener all my life, I have always secured good marks throughout my career but never studied anything at home, a day before exams I always used to think that I am gonna flunk but come the day of exam and answers automatically struck me, I didn’t have to work much and that was all coz I listened to the teacher. Nowadays this never happens, the case is always that I am sitting in my exam cursing myself that I cant remember that bloody thing which I studied last night.

It is quite possible that I am acting cynically, it might not actually be as gory as I am putting it. May be I need to put in some effort in studies but then the thing is I never needed to put in effort in studying my life. Even subjects like Bio & Geography which I used to detest somehow always seemed to fit in my brain and I never had problems listening to teachers. Even though I used to do time-pass with my friends in class, I could remember the things without much effort which surely is not the case now.

People say that studying is hard work and perspiration . I beg to differ, in my opinion learning can never be the result of hard work. Learning is the process of absorbing things in your mind which should be as phenomenon as effortless and simple as water being absorbed by any cloth. Hard work part should come when you want to excel and achieve expertise in any field. The basic process of learning should just be a seamless transition from one state of not knowing something to another state of knowing that thing, just as we become aware of our surroundings similarly studies should be the same thing , not something which you learn by force and pressure.

Hope somebody else too subscribes to my line of thinking.. Not just about not being able to study any more but about the process of learning.

PS7:- Almost two weeks of stay for UG4 guys before the exams start!! Will miss you guys, Will be strange not to see the faces you have been seeing for the last 3 years.

One bad thing with being M'n'M organiser is that you are the organiser of the last event and you have to remain focussed until the last moment. I can still remember the feeling of freedom rising in me with every passing round. I couldnt just wait more for it to finish. It was the culmination of months of hard work, planning, preparation... We had to show it to the world in these 3 days that we had it in us to do it and finally we managed to convince the world that it was worth its billing.

As soon as the prize distribution was over, I handed over the judges to Pankaj and then Maroo asked me to sign the certificates, this was the final work which I had to do. I signed them and handed them over to the winners and gave the remaining ones to guys at help desk, then I sprinted back to the place where we had all the action. I ran there colliding with I dunno how many people but couldnt see anything except the mass of people standing there and celebrating. Once i reached there, Maroo hugged me and I just didnt have the strength to stand and fell on him and was standing on his support for some time until I had the strength to come back to my senses and stood up on my feet. I just didnt feel like gyrating to the tunes of the DJ and just wanted to meet all my friends,all of us who "DID IT". I was running all around the ground like a mad man hugging each and evry person in sight. I dont even remember who all I met.. I just knew that this was the only thing I could have done at the moment.
All this hugging over, I went to the place where all the guys were dancing to the tunes of DJ but wasnt feeling like but did it coz all of my friends were there. we danced our hearts out and sprayed cold drink and water over each other. It was just as if we were possesed by some thing which gave us strength to dance so enthusiastically after working our asses off for the fest.
But the moment of the night came some time later when the DJ decided to play the tune of Friendhsip "Yaaron"... Some of us were near the sound console and as soon as the song started playing.. We made a circle and started swaying to it.. Some time later i dunno who but a guy came to the centre and then all the rest started jumping on each other (agreed this was wild!! but who cares we just wanted to express our freedom).. Finally we all made a circle and with arms on the shoulders of others and the circle just kept growing.. Finally to our amazement some girls also decided to join the circle.. it was quite shocking for me to see girls of our batch placing hand on the shoulder of a guy and vice versa... and then finally they left(who cared at that time.. We were too busy in the enjoyment to take notice of any such thing!!!) and the song kept playing and we just kept moving in the circle.
It sure was the moment of Felicity for me...
All the commaradarie, friendship and support which made felicity a success was shown finally to evrybody.. Just went on to show how close knit our batch is... Evryone a near and dear friend who helped each other out and was a beacon of strength and support when the other was in dumps...
Three cheers to UG2k5 and to our Friendship!!!

Felicity is one memory which I wont be able to forget my whole life!!

Already ripples have been created in the ocean with Hindu, Deccan Chronicle, Enadu publishing articles about Felicity.. Gemini Tv, Maa TV and TV 9 have covered a rally as which was a part of the Felicity with interviews of IIIT guys coming on TV.

We have one of the biggest Politician of India, Mr. Sitaram Yechuri coming to give a talk. Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant is also coming to give a talk, Mrs. Karuna Gopal, one of the Lead India finalists is also going to be here and special mention for all the people active in the blogosphere, Mrs. Rashmi Bansal of youthcurrry fame will also be here. She is alo the editor of famous youth magazine, JAM.

Coming to Cultural, we have Indian Ocean coming and performing (that too with free entry unlike some others.. :P). We also have the most famous Rock Band in Hyderabad, Sledge coming and performing in one of the most famous Rock Shows in Hyderabad city.

We have a plethora of events to satisfy the need and talents of each and every person. Ranging from the Most famous talent and personality show in Hyderabad "Mr & Miss Felicity" , we have the Dance event with the most participants Danca(Western Solo), Grupentanz(Western Group) & Nrytaka(Classical), We have two-2- tango a hugely popular event last year, Of course the music buffs need not be disappointed.. We have Raaga, the singing competitions, and obviously the most popular game "Antakshari" can't be missed when you are organising a fest, Instrumental talents are also welcome to display their talent and be called virtuosos in their fields. Radio Mirchi is also associated with a RJing event... Radio Ka Badshah!!!

By now you must be thinking that this is a blog and there is nothing about Literary events, SO here it comes. We have it all here, Ranging from Creative Writing (you bloggers can score sum gud points here), JAM, Group Discussion(CAT aspirants take note!! No better place to hone your skills), DumbC, Whats the Good Word to Ship Wreck.Quiz buffs also have their maal here.. With the reputed Felicity Quiz and also Catch the Clip being organised to satisfy their hunger.

The people with "Drawing ka kida" and lots of imagination and innovation can find their heaven in Kalakshetra we have events from the usual painting and sketching to the more Hip events like Graffitti, Tattoo Making & T-Shirt Sketching and the traditional Rangoli Making to the child's play for adults,CLAYtivity where you can satisfy all your urges of playing with clay without being scolded by mom.

For all the geeks who were bored by these Events, We have already conducted Hugely successful Code Craft with participation from 59 countries on the last count. Mathematika, an event organised first time in Felicity got particpants from 56 countries. Events like Equity Pulse, Kode Konundrums and Cache In got more than 1000 participants.
But, but, but my friends dont be disappointed that these events have been conducted... We still have got Quick and the Dead, Debug the CBug , Java Jargon for all the coding enthusiats, We have very interesting events being conducted by Microsoft & CA. Adding to the list of heavy weights, Google is also here with Spin the Web. For the gaming enthusiasts, we also have Sculpt , the game design competition.

And ofcourse, we have Zombie Zone, the biggest gaming event in Hyderabad with games like Counter Strike (CS), FIFA, Need For Speed (NFS) Carbon and Warcraft 3:DotA....

And of course  no celebration is complete without a DJ.. So we have all the top DJs of Hyderabad for the honours in a competition. So just lose your inhibition and worries and have a blastttttttt...

Prizes worth more than 3.5 lakhs to be won along with oppurtinities to work with some of the major companies..

Its all in here, you just have to come here and have a blast....

A stark reminder of the fact is when guys of our batch win comprehensively in competitions like quiz and all... I would say the people who win are good infact very good when you compare them with other people but if you compare them with our seniors like Satvik, Ruchir and all, the whole group of them, they were just extra odrinary. I still remember my first year where in an Inter House DumbC.. If i rmr correctly then Satvik, Ruchir n Su used to guess things (meant to be done in 2 mins) in a petty matter of 30 secs or so.. Their chemistry and knowledge was just awesome.. back then we used to think that these guys have been living together for 3 years.. so they know each other quite well thats why they can do so.. but now that we are in our 3rd year, we cant find any such ppl in our batch.

Can the magic of 1-12 wing be ever revived again?? Dont think any of the ppl in 2nd,3rd or 4th year will be able to stand to those guys.. For us UG2K5 ppl... the 1-12 wing consisting of Gaurav Jain, Lohia, Bhago and company was something out of this world... Even last year we had ppl like Grawl Mr.Felicity and a bcbaaz sitting with whom you just cant stop laughing, Alankar, have heard about his escapades the day before his CAT exam and still scoring a 99.6% percentile, making him something like an epitome of sharpness :P to me but somehow now 1-12 is just another wing... No offence to the guys living in the wing now but i dont think nobody will be able to live up to the charisma now...

Come to geekiness.. whoever has seen or met smr will always regard him as legendary and also Nirnimesh, these two were like the epitome of geekiness to us in our first year when they were the sys admins,they were like the Gods of Linux and Programming... Agreed we have people in our batch who are knowledgable and sharp but they were a combo of both.. I would say they were like a combo of Kulbir and Somani of our batch... About SMR's memory i have an interesting story.. Then have heard stories about Shiben that he developed some games while only in his first year... I dunno what games he developed but he sure is a geek who can also sketch, write awesome imaginary stories, do an awful lot of bc on DF... then there were Manikandan and Ramachandra, our C tutors in first year who have left quite a mark on us.

Coming to multi faceted personalities, here again someboedy by the name Arun stands out orator, basket ball player, GK i have written earlier... Cracked the CAT n GRE.. what more can be said about him...

Then there is somebody by the name Pati,about whom somebody told me that he is so witty ki "vo akele baithe baithe poori basket ball team ki mar leta hai", a very good basket ball player a geek by choice who used to look so cool in my 1st year that never in my dreams could i have ever thought ki he would be a g33k... who was one of the very few people who being in 4th year would himslef say a hi to me when i was in my 1st year during the interaction period.. :P

Ofcourse if we talk about personalities from 2k2 batch,we cant miss out on Pranav Vashishta, the guy who can talk for hours on every topic, dunno from where he acquired so much knowledge... but he sure turns head... and ofcourse who can forget Satvik, the guy who scored cent percent in enlish in CAT.. terming that as an achievement would be belittling it...Then there were guys frm 2k2 like Rao, Joon, Ruchir and all with whom i have had no interaction but have heard stories about them...

Even though I havent had any interaction with ppl from 2k1 but they also seem to be quite a bunch of cool guys from the blogs of them that i have read, my only means of knowing them there are quite a few of them I would like to meet given a chance, guys like Utkarsh,Kunal,Jayaram,Rakesh and ofcourse our dailyrium Sreejith.. :P these guys find time to blog regularly being in job and ppl in IIIT being vella all day cant blog and all... Am just taking an example of blogging but this is sort of a reflection.

We had our own college band but all the members have left and we dont have anybody to fill the void left by them... DO we have enough rock enthusiasts to carry on the legacy of Arun, Freaky, Bhago and all.. The answer is Zilch... We have a single guy aditya in our batch who can be termed as a rock enthusiast but none else and have no idea about the junior batch..

Then there was IV from 2k3 whose popularity throughout the batches made it impossible to have any event without constant chattering of iv,iv,iv, who being a topper and all was quite active and seemed quite diff from the usual geeks, though as i dont know him on a personal front so cant say much but one thing i rmr is that he usd to be quite cool in OS assign evaluations... :P ... and Sriram whose innovative hooting in the Felicity 2k7 will b remembered for long... :P

Instead what has happened in IIIT now is... people come to college and start slogging, I remember that in our frst year nobosy used to go to reading room and very rarely were people seen in libraries but from the 2k6 batch , this number has been very high and the current first year is also not a step behind them. The current lot of first years seems to be very low on the enthusiasm front... Hardly any people turned out for the recenty held carnival. Our seniors will say that we were the same, i still remember Dash coming to rooms of each and evry prithvi guy to wake us from our slumber but that was work and it was morning but when it came to things like teacher's day and all many people used to be present....

Even the regular strollers in the campus are also on the decline, when we used to roam around in 1st year.. there used to be many people we would encounter but these days you see hardly any people doing the rounds.. Wonder why??? :O

PS3:- Fucking wasted almost 1-1.5 hours for this post and have exams from monday.
PS4:- Wish all the papers are so hard that nobody is able to attempt anything
PS5:- But i know it wont happen.

पिछले कुछ दिनों से हिन्दी में लिखे गए पोस्ट्स को पढने के बाद मेरी भी इक्षा थी कि मैं भी हिन्दी में कुछ लिखूं, और एक पर्व से अच्छा विषय क्या हो सकता हिन्दी में लिखने के लिए|
आज रत को हमारे विश्वविद्यालय में जन्मष्ठामी का पर्व मनाया गया | शुरुआत में हम लोग जाने के इच्छुक नहीं थे और हम जाने के लिए निकले भी थे तो पहले कुछ खाने के लिए ही निकले थे परन्तु और लोगों के संदेश आने के बाद हमने सोचा कि चलो अभी तक समय व्यर्थ कर रहे थे तो भगवान् के काम के लिए भी थोड़ा समय निकाल लेते हैं| हम लोग संगीत कक्ष चले गए जहाँ पे सारा कार्यक्रम आयोजित हुआ था | वहाँ पहुँचने पर मुझे सुखद आश्चर्य हुआ , हमारी आशा के विपरीत वहाँ अच्छी संख्या में लोग उपस्थित थे |

एक और आश्चर्य की बात ये थी की ये पूरा आयोजन परा-स्नातक छात्रों द्वारा किया गया था | हमारे विश्वविद्यालय में अक्सर सारे आयोजन स्नातक छात्रों द्वारा आयोजित किए जाते हैं और परा-स्नातक छात्र प्रायः अपनी पढ़ाई में ही व्यस्त रहते हैं | परन्तु ये पूरा आयोजन उन्ही लोगों द्वारा किया गया था और मैं कहना चाहूँगा कि ये एक उत्तम आयोजन था | उस कक्षा में आरतियाँ जिस जोश से गाई जा रही थीं उसे देख कर मेरे मन में येहि ख्याल आया कि भारत में रह कर हम कितना भी पश्चिमी सभ्यता परन्तु जब भी अपने रीति रिवाजों की बात आती है तो हम भी उनको उतना ही सम्मान दे सकते हैं जितना की हमसे पिछली पीढियां | वहाँ पे आरतियाँ गाने से जो सुकून मिला था वो अतुलनीय है | मैं उन परा-स्नातक छात्रों को फिर से धन्यवाद देना चाहूँगा जिनकी वजह से मुझे ये मौका मिला और आशा करता हूँ की आगे भी पर्व ऐसे ही धूमधाम से मनाये जायेंगे |

Recently a cat is also seen prowling in NBH dont know about any other place and a mouse larger than any average cat in size is also seen roaming in NBH and some times going to rooms to meet the occupants.

First of all what i have been doing this summer??? A very Tough question to answer since i have done nothing useful at all this summer except going for PT some 12-13 days even in this case i am not going to get the much wanted credit so i am still left with 1 PT credit, otherwise i have not done much work for the project(no surprise!!!), doing BC (no surprise!!!), didnt blog for a period of 15 days(quite a huge surprise for me too!!!),played age quite a lot (not exactly surprised coz i needed something to waste time but never knew this was the thing).

Meanwhile we(Me and Abhilash) have in all probability abandoned our much ambitious project coz there is no chance that it can be done in less than 10 years time coz in some chinese university PG people did such a project involving less things than ours and it took them 10 years to do it and they did their Ph.D on the project. :P

We might be again getting double occupancy(for some people who applied late) in our 3rd year..grrr... as told by OBH warden, it will be confirmed tomorrow and if so happens then you can expect a post flaming the IIIT authority tomorrow.

After attending my cousin's sagai in may start and meeting his sali.. now i am game to attend the marriage of my cousin sis on 23rd June, hope my brother in law has a good looking sister.

The weather here has been quite good specially when compared with places like Lucknow,Agra and Delhi(place where i have spent few summers). Though i suffered from heat stroke once but all in all weather can be termed as moderate here..Kool!!! Hyderabad ROCKS!!!!!

Federer again lost to Nadal on clay court. WTf is this??? Why cant the No.1 beat the 2nd ranked player at all on the clay??? :(

Anything For You Ma'am

I read "Anything for you Ma'am" by some IIT-D guy named Tushar Raheja, though i have been going overboard praising the romantic description of the Candle Light Dinner but the book as a whole is not praiseworthy.... far too many coincidences at all the book seems to be drifting into fairy land after some time... The first time he meets the girl.. the event is too dramatic and filmish to be true and he keeps going forth and back describing some arbit month this year and some month last year which is so bloody confusing. The description he keeps giving of things are utter bore i just skipped through them. One thing to be noted is the inside front cover he has tried to copy Chetan Bhagat, same pose with hands folded in front, same black and white combination. All in all it was a good read coz i could identify with him in many places, it just seemed as if he was speaking for me,as if my soul has entered his body.. :) One thing this book sure does is try to instill confidence that long distance relations can work though i still have apprehensions but it sure brought me a bit towards believing in it.
Finally the author has a poem for every occasion... thats great. :) The book sure is funny at times but the only thing for which i will remember the book is the excellently romantic "Candle light Dinner" :) Thats it for now... :)
