<p>The days on the market for active homes is actually skewed by listings that have come on the market in the last few weeks.  If your in the market for one of Lake Norman's finest golf and waterfront communities, The Point is one of the better choices if not the BEST. </p>
<p>One of the biggest complaints about this area is Brawley School Road.  Granted this two lane road is a headache, there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Widening and reconfiguration of this road us underway and the end result will be welcome relief this this and other neighborhoods on Lake Norman's Brawley Peninsula.</p>

<p>Recently I submitted a post entitled <a href="http://movetolakenorman.wordpress.com/answering-the-questions-of-my-clients/">Lake Norman Golf and Waterfront Communities</a>.  It was so popular that I made it a page that you can access at the top of this page.</p>
<p>However the Lake Norman communities I covered were certainly not all there is to choose from.  I will tell you about some of those that I left out. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.foxdencc.com/">Fox Den in Statesville</a></p>
<p>Fox Den offers home buyers the convenience of countryside living on an 18-hole championship golf course . With membership at Fox Den, homeowners are able to enjoy an Olympic size pool, two tennis courts, a club house and eight scenic ponds all located on 400 acres of lush, rolling countryside.  With shopping and schools just minutes away and recreational opportunities right outside your door, Fox Den homeowners get the best of both worlds: peaceful community living with nearby city convenience!  Prices in the Fox Den community range from 250's to the 400's.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.c21hecht.com/baycrossing/">Bay Crossing at Lake Norman</a></p>
<p>Mooresville, North Carolina. Bay Crossing at Lake Norman is a  finely manicured luxury home community that includes large heavily wooded home sites with rolling hills and waterfront views. This is a great luxury home community that not too many people know about, Bay Crossing may just be the hidden gem you've been looking for.  Prices range form the 600's to 2 million. Home sites range from 0.7 to 1.3 acres.</p>
<p><strong>Pinnacle Shores</strong></p>
<p>Pinnacle Shores homes range from waterfront to waterview with deeded Lake Access. Located west of the town of Mooresville in Iredell County it features 150 plus marina close single family homes, ranging in price from $500,000 to over $1,000,000. Pinnacle Shores offers community boat docks, pool, clubhouse, tennis, and a playground. Pinnacle Shores is one of our more established waterfront and waterview communities but awesome nontheless.</p>
<p><strong>Westport at Lake Norman</strong></p>
<p>On the west side of Lake Norman in Denver. Westport offers both the joy and beauty of waterfront homes and the <a href="http://www.westportgc.com/">Westport Golf Club</a>. <br />
Westport is an established community in Denver, NC which began with the opening of Westport I in 1965. It has grown dramatically to include Westport I, II, III and the Westport Peninsula, exceeding all expectations.  It offers mature landscaping, privacy, diverse layouts and homes along the newly-renovated Westport Golf Club. This is a neighborhood where you can still purchase a waterfront home under a million with deep water and wide lake views.   Westport recently approved a brand new swim, tennis and fitness club that is scheduled to begin construction in May 2008. The new Westport Sports Club will feature a brand new 5,000 square foot clubhouse with wraparound porch, a tennis pro shop, locker rooms, meeting rooms, member lounge and offices.   Home Prices in Westport range from high 300's to 1.5 million.</p>
<p><strong>Sterling Point in Cornelius</strong></p>
<p>Another gorgeous waterfront community, Sterling Pointe is just a couple of minutes from Birkdale Village and I77.  This smallish community is loaded with beautiful homes.  Check out the <a href="http://www.realliving.com/Search/Property/Results.aspx?SearchID=77750">Sterling Pointe in Cornelius Active Listings</a>.</p>

<p> Living around Lake Norman is a frame of mind.  It is kind of like being on vacation year round.</p>

<p>Here are some of the reasons why Lake Norman is so awesome. </p>
<p>Beautiful Lake Norman Real Estate with prices from 200's to the millions.  Whether you living on the lake or near it, there is easily accessible public boat launches.</p>

<p>Lake Norman has great fishing, boating, skiing and everything else that comes with fun on the lake.</p>
<p>Lake Norman has wonder restaurants accessible by water.  This is one of my personal favorites.  Cruising the lake at dusk and having dinner is a very enjoyable experience.<br />

<p> <a href="http://www.charmeck.org/Departments/Airport/Home.htm">Charlotte Douglas Airport </a> is just 30 minutes away for those that travel for business or travel.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.myrtlebeach.com/">Myrtle Beach</a> and my favorite <a href="http://www.murrellsinletsc.com/default.html">Murrells Inlet</a> are approximately 3.5 hours a way for a weekend getaway, vacation home or family vacation.</p>
<p> Even closer and very beautiful are the North Carolina Mountains.  A mere 1.5-2 hours away, you can enjoy the leaves changing in fall, cutting down your Christmas Tree in winter, hiking, fishing, shopping and so much more. Places like <a href="http://www.asheville.com/">Asheville</a>, <a href="http://www.visitboonenc.com/">Boone</a> and much more so close you can almost see it from Lake Norman.</p>

<p>Charlotte and the surrounding area has numerous colleges also to choose from. <a href="http://www.uncc.edu/">UNC Charlotte</a>, <a href="http://www.queens.edu/">Queens College</a>, <a href="http://www.wfu.edu">Wake Forest University</a>,  <a href="http://www.jcsu.edu/">Johnson C Smith</a>, <a href="http://www.jwu.edu/">Johnson and Wales</a> and <a href="http://www.kingscollegecharlotte.edu/">Kings college</a> are all in close proximity to the Lake Norman area.</p>
