Character

Aoki Daisuke - A young 23 yrs old teacher at Elementary School that manage 3rd grade. An awkward, but kind type of teacher, and he is Rin's love target, which put him into a harsh condition.

Kokonoe Rin - An energetic girl and very kind to her friends, especially Mimi and Kuro. After one incident with Aoki-Sensei, she declared her love, and always seduce Aoki. But behind all her attitude, she is a lonely girl and has a sad past.

Kagami Kuro - Ojou-sama type of girl, but very attached to Rin, always love Rin but realize she can't make Rin into her lover, then she always bend her anger toward Aoki-sensei.

Usa Mimi - Your slow and clumsy girl XD. Firstly, she didn't come to school because the teacher before Aoki-sensei insulted her, and after Aoki-sensei came to her house and talk to her, she became confident, and came back to school.

Animation

One thing that disturbed me when watched this title, was the censor with a "no" in Hiragana when a ecchi situation appeared, or weird sounds to covered unappropriate words. It's maybe good for the children, but even with the censor, I think this title not for children to see with an explicit situation (well you can't control the imagination right, and this title will direct your wild lolicon imagination XD). The animation was good, upto current standard, and not a strong point from this anime. Currently waiting for all uncut / uncensored version, so I can judge it better.

Sound

Opening theme hmmm wasn't special to me, but I really like the ending theme, especially when saw Kuro in chibi mode, with her neko mimi to shippo, ouch hontou ni kawaii.....ehmmm better back to the topic. BGM and the other sounds weren't exceptional, but they matched quite well with the animation. But for the censored version, the sounds quite annoyed with weird noise that used to cover the unappropriate words that were used. For your full enjoyment, better search for uncut / uncensored version.

Character

Characters were described very well, especially Kokonoe Rin and Aoki-sensei. The development of each character was well-done. And the relation between characters, how they interacted, how they solved the problems were done nicely enough too.

Story

A good drama show mixed with an ecchi comedy, what else you can hope from the title. For lolicon lover oyaji out there, this title was a must. But the topic in a few countries, it's very dangerous if you had the uncut version, maybe you will be arrested with a pedophile accusations (well I wish my words won't become a reality XD). The story itself was touching, especially in specific episodes, but sometimes it left a question that seemed unanswered, well I hope the unanswered questions will be solved at the next season. A good show to follow and at least you won't regret watch the title, especially if you are a loli-lover.

Malaysia is great. For the past 5 days, I've been spending my time touring around Kuala Lumpur. Trust me, 5 days isn't enough. The city is huge. I went to the famous KLCC, the museum etc. I bought some anime merchandise that I couldn't get back home. I'll write about it when I get home and the post is going to be hella long. Now, I'm at my grandparents' house in a small town where most old people retire. The place is really quiet.

Ah well. Today brings another blog from me, Nosukii. I just took a shower and I've calmed down from my rage. Haha, long story really. I went out shopping with my mother,brothers, uncle and a friend of my mother today. We drove for more than an hour to get to our destination so I was extremely bored by the time we got there. Didn't really buy anything. I'm not one for polo shirts or preppy clothes. But I do love me some bags.Lol, unfortunately I didn't get to buy any, but my mother did say she'd take me back to buy a school bag later on. So hey, I'll take that offer. But it wasn't that, that sent me into rage. It was the fact my brother got a completely brand new computer. Yeah sure, it was for his birthday. But what did I get for my birthday? $100. Compared to his 700$+ computer...That's nothing. Of course I'd be angry! And I still get yelled at. Literally. I was just sitting there being quiet and my mother yelled at me. She was like, "what's wrong with you!?".

What's wrong with me? Really? She's asking that? You must be joking! I don't really ask for much. Honestly. I may go out alot and go here and there but that doesn't always necessarily mean I buy something every time I go out. I go to a good school and try and get all the damn good grades they want me to get. And what do I get in return? "You go to Whitney! You should be doing better than that!" EXCUSE ME? Don't you see I'm T R Y I N G!? For God's sake! You can only expect so much out of me! And I still get looked at like I'm fucking stupid or some shit like that. Is it because I'm younger? Do they not think I'm mature enough to understand? I'm not stupid.

WOO! I don't know if you've caught on yet, but I love love colored lights. Lol. And yes, I do like jrock. Been to a couple concerts myself. And for the record, I caught Kaoru's(Dir en grey) guitar pick, and yes I will brag. Because I got crushed for it. =3= Many many many magazine clippings of ikemen*. AND YES. THAT IS A KODOMO NO JIKAN POSTER. It looks very suggestive.I don't know why I have it. I just saw it and was like "oh hey, Kodomo no Jikan" and bought it. Underneath that is my DOGS poster! Which I love so much! I love DOGS Bullets and Carnage so when I saw it, I had to have it!

Bleach - 6 doujins, one is NSFW, one is like PG-16, the rest are pretty much PG-ish. Um..Bleach is so...over done. If you want any specifics on these, feel free to leave a comment. I can tell you the pairings right now just in case there's questions. AizenxGin(NSFW),AizenxGin(PG-16),RenjixIzuruxShuuhei(PG-13)..there's a little..suggestive moment in this one. In which they all get drunk and try to get Izuru naked., GinxIzuru(PG-13), and the other two are pretty much PG. Just a whole bunch of randomness in them.

Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! - 2 doujins, PG-13 at most. One is DinoxHibari. The art is kind of weird, but I actually like it. Um nothing really happens in it..Hibari's just being a priss as always, so Dino tried to whip him into shape. Uh..he finds a vile of "something" and is like "kore nanda?" and there's a panel that says "r-18 (nyaaaaaaaaan~)" and that's about it. The other one is more sad? More about the past. Um no real pairing, though it focuses on Mukuro and Chikusa I think?

As we already said, we don't plan of releasing the whole episode, mainly because nobody has the uploading speed. We will only release the scripts. For the video, you must go to Loli-pop Subs and download it, then you can mux back with Our joint scripts.

So be it. By the way, our pace for this will be slow. Mainly we are taking our time for it.

Current status: put a simple karaoke to opening. Nobody is able to make it, so it took damn much time.

We are going to use Lolipop Subs DVD-raw, which is currently we are asking permission from the fansubs to use their raw (we don't want simply use other's work without permission). If they allow us to use, we are going to do this.

What we are going to do:

1. Using Genjo-Subs for episode 1-6 (since Genjo had only released those episodes for the TV version)

2. Using Suck Suck Subs for the rest. We are not going to fix the subtitle, mainly because our translator is busy with her assignments (she is a dentistry university student for your information), not to mention this loli anime is absolutely not interesting for her (do you expect a girl loves loli anime?).

3. No karaoke effects, since nobody is able to do it. (You want? Please do it for us. We are fully soft sub, so do something simple like gg fansubs karaoke is good for us to go. We can give you the karaoke script of course).

4. No nice sign, since nobody can do it. We can put simple sign only. We can't even make moving sign =.=

5. Slow release. Actually not because we are slow in finishing it, simply because nobody has good internet. If you were downloading our Gigantic Formula, then you should have realize our "sucks" upload speed.

So current status is:

So Uhhh Rin Or Mimi, Which Is It?

Wow this chapter is short......anyway this time Kodomo No Jikan heads straight back into the less serious and weighty stuff with Rin and co. taking a trip to the spa, lets have a look.

Summary: No introduction, we start off right as the trio is heading up to a spa where Mimi seems really excited to be (she used to go there with "daddy").  Kagami seems to wish she were going shopping instead and Rin is just kind of quiet (and sporting a new emo swoosh haircut it seems), but Kagami perks up and looks supremely proud when she gets to pull her credit card.  You know in Canada kids that age wouldn't even be allowed to have credit cards let alone use them, the latter of which Kagami does indeed get shafted on.  No sooner are they in the bathhouse then is Mimi combing a very naked Rin's hair while wondering about Reiji again.  Kagami is also naked (and so flat it looks like she has man abs) all of a sudden a sporting Chun Li style hair buns while an SD Mimi is giving an odd to their perfect hair.  Mimi starts to wonder about how Rin puts on an air of strength while really being quite fragile and seems to gloat just a little in knowing this before catching herself.  In the Jacuzzi Kagami is lounging back and complaining about how it has an old people smell, but soon finds she likes the salt bath very much because she gets to float in it.  (And did I mention she is so flat she could easily pass as a boy by shaving her hair?)

Eventually Rin and Kagami start chasing each other into another section of the pool and the people there ask Mimi if she's a middle schooler and think that Kagami must be her younger sister.  This gets Mimi wondering about how she's come to accept and be proud of her body and that perhaps if Rin needed them again....NO!  Anyway they are about to move to the open air bath when Mimi starts to feel that Rin is avoiding her.  She does the Mimi thing and naively tries to offer her breasts to suck on but is shafted.  Kagami meanwhile has accidently stumbled into the alcohol bath and somehow gotten drunk in it resulting slurred speech and attempts to use a "forehead flash" attack before running off into another room in search of "Virgins".  Later while she's sobering up under a fan Rin asks Mimi why she's being so nice to her and Mimi explains that it's for all the times she's helped her.  Mimi also mentions the time she had a cold, but Rin says that it was Mimi who helped her.  Mimi protests that it was her offering Rin her breasts that made her more comfortable with her body for the first time and that makes Rin perk up.  The chapter ends with them all going home satisfied with the day except for Kagami who never wants to go again.

Thoughts: The chapter doesn't really seem to tie in much to the previous one, but it's also a return to the classic Kodomo No Jikan style of humour which can roughly described as edgy and accurately described as lolicon antics.  Amusing antics they were though and I especially chuckled at drunk Kagami who was running around stark naked while screaming "Imma Kuro-Chan" and trying to shoot people with her forehead reflection.  Mimi is classic submissive Mimi in this chapter, but seems a lot more comfortable with her body again.  Hopefully that's the last time we have to worry about her breasts because her obsession with them is kind of scary.  All in all the girls frolic naked, Mimi helps Rin a bit with the depression funk she seems to have been in since her real father came back and for once a Mimi chapter doesn't end with her in tears and everybody is pretty happy.  Even Kagami probably had a good time despite her misadventure.  It doesn't break any new ground, but it's solid Kodomo No Jikan at it's most Kodomo No Jikanish.

Rating: Six Out Of Ten

Update 2: Found a video clip of a news program in Portland, Oregon. Apparently their local paper got the ad, too, and the reporters talk about a possible scam with this converter box. That would more easily explain the Kojika appearance.

The most amusing part of it is that the above caption talks about parental controls, something any American parent would definitely want if shows like Kodomo no Jikan were on the air.

My guess is that someone is an anime fan in the newspaper staff (or the product staff who submitted the ad) but didn't quite realize what this series is. Or, worse, it was an image that randomly came up in a Google search for "kids show" or something (that string didn't turn up the result).

As for the product itself, you'd only be interested if you don't pay for digital cable and just want the free local channels. Even then, the converter box is supposedly not a good deal.

Nothing much to say , Max Factory did a good job on this one , perfect painting and a provocative/cute pose . Rin is perfectly made as a PVC , she looks exactly the same as in the anime . This limited edition does not have lots of difference from the normal one , only thing is she's in a bloomer when she has a short in the normal version ...

The work on the hair is really nice and the base does look better than the usual . So i can say that if you're a fan of Kodomo No Jikan , you NEED to buy her . If you're searching for an original figure to put in your collection , she can be a good buy too ...

I came across Lucky☆Star Konata and Kagami plushies on Animate today. They're extremely adorable! I'm surprised that I've never even heard of these before, but then again, the land of Japan produces far more merchandise than one can imagine. The two plushies cost 2,625 yen apiece (~$24.58) and set to be released on August 21st, 2008. They measure...25mm tall according to the product pages. o.O I hope that's a typo (250mm would be about right), or otherwise they'd be 1-inch-tall plushies. If that's the case, I should save my money and buy Chuck the Pedobear instead.

~Kodomo no Jikan which literally means A child's time is an anime series which it's manga was written and illustrated by Watashiya Kaworu. The story revolves around a grade school teacher, Daisuki Aoki, which has a big problem about his student, Kokonoe Rin, who has a big crush on him.  I love this series even though it's ecchi and everything. Because of drawing and the animation which made me interested in the anime and i also like kids but i am no lolicon or shotacon! I just love kids... It was a great idea to put some censorship but when I watched an episode in DVD version I realized that the censorship was too exaggerated even though the children just showing their undies they still censored it but the censor boxes they used are cute hahaha as far as i remember, it was a chibi rin rolling the logo of the series and a chibi reiji drinking infront of the tv and also they censored some words [actually almost all the words] and it really makes me crazy because i can't understand anything because almost of the lines are censored but still love the series... hehehe highly recommended for the proud lolicon!

It was Daisuke Aoki's birthday and Rin is been busy thinking what would be the best birthday gift to his beloved sensei. If the series has censorship the ova doesn't and it's because it's ecchi, it's not hentai, sexual blah blah and everything is limited [you know what I mean.. ok?].

Ok All I can say about this anime, it's really ecchi. I can't believe I'am becoming fond of this anime. The characters are kawaii anyway. This anime reminds me of the love story of Nadeshiko and Fujitaka Kinomoto's love story of Card Captor Sakura (Student-Teacher relationship).

The OVA is all about ecchiness, lolicon and yuriness...

Kuro-chan has this attraction to Rin and yes it's YURI! Kuro hates Aoki-sensei and loves to kick his... you know what it is [it was in the series though].. Kuro have this little fantasies of her own having fun with Rin-chan. XD [yuriness]
Mimi-chan is a megane girl who has this big... boobs as a grade three student and she doesn't look like a 3rd grader. She falls inlove with Rin's guardian, Reiji. When she wears Rin's pajamas and it doesn't fits her [ecchiness], Reiji let him wear his shirt.

Seriously RUN!

This has what I'm looking for, lots of Kagami Kuro.  When last we left off Rin had decided that she had to stick by the increasingly obsessive and neurotic Reiji because he "needs her".  Aoki doesn't seem to know what to do and we always know what he does when that happens so let's go talk to Hoin.

Summary: The chapter begins with Shirai getting all prettied up for a marriage interview because apparently she's been courted between chapters.  She doesn't seem particularly interested in dropping the old maid moniker though and plans to try and botch the interview on purpose.  At the school Kagami and Mimi run up to Aoki and ask him what happened to Rin, but when Aoki is unresponsive Kagami threatens to castrate him for ignoring her cuteness. (ATA' GIRL!)  Rin actually shows up just then and seems in surprisingly normal (deception), walking off with Kagami clinging to her arm and asking Mimi to show her her artithmetic homework.  You know, the usual stuff.  Hoin walks by now and sees a dejected Aoki looking on.  (So he's been ditched the poor guy)  Meanwhile Rin is buddying it up with her two friends (Kagami is laying in her lap and looks more like a cat then ever) and Mimi makes the mistake of asking about Reiji.  Soon enough Kagami asks Rin if she was dumped by Aoki, but Rin says (with an oddly placed panty shot) that she dumped him, which makes Kagami really happy.  Meanwhile Shirai is having her marriage interview and seems to be purposely botching it by talking about her boring lifestyle, but then reflects quite candidly on how she feels she hasn't done a lot of good or anything for herself in life.  Is it time for her to try and open up to people a little more she wonders....

Meanwhile back in school Aoki won't even play dodgeball with the students and the teachers think it has to do with Shirai's marriage.  They try to cheer him up with some food in the staff room and Hoin offers a massage. (which ends up involving a breast rub instead mostly)  When he still doesn't respond she gives him an earful of lecture about how his depressed attitude is going to affect the children and that no matter what's going on with him he should put on a happy face for the kids at school.  Realizing he's been obsessing over Kokonoe to much while neglecting his other duties (an effect she seems to have on everyone around her) he get's back to his dodgeball games with the boys next day and soon bumps into Shirai who ends up asking him how he can be so cheerful and open all the time. (if she could only have seen him the day before)  He ends up telling her about how that wasn't always the case and he was apparently quite timid in middle school.  It was the lecturing from a teacher he had in middle school who told him that "If you can react to your weaknesses you can truly become strong" that led him to where he is now, and he asks Shirai not to ease up on him at all so he can continue to grow.  He ends up getting really close to her and grabs her hand, causing her too blush when Kagami shows up with a broom and utter fury that he'd go after "her Shirai" just because Rin dumped him.  A few good lumps ensue as a now depressed looks out the window at them.

Thoughts:  Wow there must be some depression awareness week going on in Japan now or something as everything I've seen or read in anime since Sunday has dealt with it.  This chapter features no Reiji and lots of Kagami Kuro (who's been missing for a while) and that's always a good thing.  Here we see Rin's acting almost like a black widow (I use this term in a manner that means she kills peoples psychological well-being rather then physially kills them), making both Reiji and Aoki obsessed with her and then kind of ditching both on some level.  Though I guess this is good growth for her as we no longer see the childhood crush she had on Aoki (meaning she's growing up a little), the chapter sort of paints her as cold, detached and uncaring of the effect she's having on some of the characters.  Both Reiji and Aoki are devoting everything to her lately and while it seemed last chapter that she was trying to give him a hint, by the end of that chapter and this one she seemed to have decided that she's okay with it all and even told Aoki to stay out of things.  I seriously wonder if she's not just plain evil in some way.  Let's look at some of the evil things she's done in the series thus far:

- Tormented Aoki when he was just trying to have an easy time with the class

- Ignored Kagami's obvious affection for her to go hang out with Aoki

- Ignored Mimi's desire to finish the baton race with some dignity by upstaging her and making her look like a fool in front of everybody.  You'd think she'd have something to say after words rather than just living her to cry in a broken down heap

- Ignores Mimi's desire to get close to Reiji and makes Mimi think she's hogging him all for herself

- Bitten Aoki's ear

- Tried to push Hoin down the stairs

- Basically sat back while Reiji has driven himself to insanity and near exhaustion to dote on her like an almost master/slave type relationship

- Blackmailed Aoki by threatening to use her legal status against him (calling molester) if he tried to resist her will

- Driven Aoki ragged with her antics to the point of him actually falling ill

- Pitted Aoki and Reiji in a twisted affection triangle over her while ducking any responsibility

- Rejected her real fathers attempts to offer her a good home and humiliated him for even trying

- After Aoki has finally started to give her the attention she's always wanted and is about to fulfill her apparent dream of him taking her away with him, she rejects all of his kindness for Reiji and leaves him in a depression, not even seeming to give a damn about what she's done.

Now I know she's not entirely at fault for all of this, but the dark side of hers that Kaworu has talked about has suddenly become increasingly more apparent to me throughout the series as I am reading these latest chapters and I swear there's a darker more sinister side to all her supposedly innocent actions up till now that we've seen so far.  Basically it's that everytime somebody seems to have hit a point where they are feeling utterly confident or happy about something, or trying to help her in someway, she's coming come along and screwed it all up in a bad way.  She takes all the joy for herself and makes everyone around her miserable, I swear it's there throughout the entire series.  I'm almost tempted to believe that if there is a Tominoesque ending to this series that it will be her looking on coldly and detached as everyone elses lives ultimately dissolve into a pile of broken dreams...all because of her in some way or form.

But enough about the speculation on Rin's potential Black Widow status, there's also the Shirai sidestory.  Apparently some time inbetween this chapter and the last she's finally progressed to the point in life where people would actually consider her worth marrying, and despite apparently not wanting to succeed in her interview (yes there are still arranged marriages in Japan) she ends up pondering whether it's time to take another path in life when she considers how dull and lonely she is.  She also shows an increasing interest in Aoki, and while it's mostly just a curiousity about how he conducts himself right now, I can possibly see her becoming more romantically attracted to him later on with her increasingly less abrasive personality.

Other then that there's lot's of Kagami Kuro moments which are always awesome and thus we have another solid chapter of Kodomo No Jikan if a disturbingly enlightening one about our nymphet.  She's going to end up like the original Lolita and Aoki like Humbert Humbert, I swear it.  Actually before I go, here are just a few more sinister things to look for regarding Rin this chapter.

- The look on Rin's face when she notices Mimi and Kagami with Aoki before suddenly saying good morning with a suddenly happier expression

- The way she's looking so confident and happy while petting Kagami like she's actually just a pet to her (I know there's implied comedy in it, but just look at the way she's sitting)

- The upclose eyeless smirk she has when Mimi says she has Reiji all to herself as if she knows Mimi's interested, but doesn't care.

- The pose she has just before and when she looks remarkably cold and detached about "dumping" Aoki

- The look of shock she has on her face when Aoki greets her happily the next morning as if she was expecting him to do something else.

- The way she's looking out the window with an emotionless face as all of her friends are ganging up on Aoki in good old fashioned and Aoki's just had the slightly romantic moment with Shirai

If Rin somehow get's inbetween Shirai and Aoki somehow next chapter or the one after in some way I will almost know for certain if Rin has actually been a knowingly sinister force behind all of the unfortunate things that have happened to the characters in this series.
