Cand Fashion Digest a aflat despre primul caz, nu a avut nici un imbold de a scrie, pentru ca nu stia ce sa scrie. Nu poti explica sinuciderea unei fete superbe de 20 de ani aflata in culmea succesului in cateva randuri dandu-ti cu presupusul la modul "sa fie droguri sau nu?"... "avea probleme sigur in amor". Cuvintele sunt de prisos aici, insa fapta in sine spune multe despre involutia acestei industrii si despre faptul ca presiunea pentru marimea zero continua sa apese greu pe psihicul foarte multor fete tinere care cauta cu disperare perfectiunea.

Si pentru ca tot a venit vorba despre marimea zero... trec la cazul numarul doi: Karolina Kurkova. La vederea stirii cu pricina, Fashion Digest nu s-a mai putut abtine si a trebuit sa scrie. Cum poti spune despre Karolina Kurkova, unul dintre cele mai bine platite topmodele din lume si in opinia lui Fashion Digest cea mai frumoasa fiinta de pe planeta, ca este grasa???

In poze se vede ca a mai pus cateva kilograme, INSA poate ca in spatele aparitiei ei au existat si alte lucruri, iar aici pot sa imi dau cu parerea. Karolina a declarat in repetate randuri ca nu este adepta modelelor skinny, ca nu sustine infometarea si stilul de viata pe care cu totii stim ca il imbratiseaza modelele.

Poate ca Karolina a si avut curajul de a pasi pe podium cu cateva kilograme in plus tocmai pentru a trage un semnal de alarma. Iar ea poate face acest lucru, gratie notorietatii si faptului ca este cel mai bine cotat "inger" Victoria's Secrets.

Fashion Digest se intreaba spre ce se indreapta aceasta lume? O intrebare cat se poate de retorica dat fiind ca se pare ca multi nu mai intrevad calea de mijloc si imbratiseaza cu obsesivitate extremele.

Idag när jag gick in på vår hotmail för att se om vi hade några nya mail så möts jag av rubriken "Kurkova är för fet!"

Det handlar alltså om modellen Karolina Kurkova som angrips av brasiliansk media och anklagas för att vara för fet för catwalken. Det är ramaskri för att tjejen har "kärlekshandtag, celluliter och ryggfett" och publiken chockades svårt. Det finns att läsa här.

Den här tjejen är inte fet eller överviktig nånstans! Jag tycker att hon är för smal för att det ska vara snyggt men det är skönt att se en modell som är lite mjuk på ryggen. Jag skulle inte få en chock av det där, snarare tycker jag det är bra att inte alla modeller har en ryggrad som står ut 2 cm utanför kroppen.

Det här är ju bara ytterligare ett bevis på det snedvridna kroppsidealet och den utseendefixering som råder idag. Med artiklar som denna är det inte underligt att så många tjejer lider av ätstörningar idag!

Det är skrämmande att media utmålar tjejer som Karolina Kurkova som feta för det är vad som sätter normen för unga tjejer som har dessa modeller som förebilder. Varför kan man inte acceptera att alla kroppar är olika och att kärlekshandtag, hull och celluliter faktiskt är normalt och ingenting som ska retuscheras och döljas till varje pris?

Cattiverie? Sì. Gli standard estetici della moda sono assurdi? Verissimo.

Però visto che a noi donne "normali" non danno una barca e mezza di soldi solo per essere fighe, una come Karolina, che diventare ricca usa solo il DNA, potrebbe anche seguire l'esempio di Razor Simona e avere cura del proprio fondoschiena.

Per il resto, la sfilata che ho potuto vedere davvero da vicino è stata questa, della griffe brazilienji Carlota Joakina.

Modelle minorenni e magre davvero, qualche vestito caruccio e delle scarpine interessanti.

The Brazilian Media have attacked 24-year-old supermodel Karolina Kurkova for being too 'fat' for runway modelling.  After she appeared in a bikini runway show, reports say that her "back fat" and "cellulite" drew "gasps of horror" from onlookers.

Well who wouldn't be horrified looking at that?  Just look at the fat cow, why the hell did they let her on the catwalk in the first place?  Her stomach isn't concave.  I can't see her ribs.  And oh my god, is that a curvy bottom I see there?!  Disgusting.  Unacceptable.

Of course I'm being sarcastic.  This actually makes me pretty angry.  Right now, I'd really like to meet anyone who calls this woman fat and tie them to a chair and force-feed them deep-fried lard pies.

Certain media outlets can hardly avoid blame for eating disorders when they have a problem with a beautiful, slim, healthy-looking model strutting her stuff. 

Pictures like these are always going to illicit comments about the disparity between models and the general public. Fashion insiders will declare this women unfit to walk the runway. They'll say she's too fat and unsightly to walk around in a bikini. This straightforwardness will evoke a defensive element in women and others who believe that the fashion industry does not portray an accurate portrayal of society. This idealization is what some believe to be the root of several mental disorders like body dis-morphia, anorexia, bulimia and the such.

I will never trivialize these diseases. I believe them to be serious and cause-worthy. However, diseases like this are based on a set of factors that are internal to the victim. As long as we as a society idealize human beings, these diseases will exist.

Having declared this, Karolina Kurkova is indeed unfit to walk the runway. We have to think about this from an economic perspective. This woman is paid crazy amounts of money to portray a specific idealized image of the human body. Her job is to maintain herself.  She is paid to be something that we cannot be. If models were normalized, what would separate us from them? Nothing. Anyone could get up onto the runway and walk a few paces to some stupid music.

This woman's job is dependent on the way she looks. If I didn't do what I got paid to do, I would get fired. Likewise even if she looks normal compared to people on the sidewalk, that's not what she gets paid for. She is unfit to perform her assigned task.

This may seem harsh, but this reasoning is exactly why models have short shelf-lives. Their period of perfection is usually short term and based on what the look for the season is. Modeling is a business based on someone's appearance.

That's why they are called models. They're not supposed to look like us.

I tell you what, since those Obama people dispatched Sen. Clinton from the race in dramatic fashion they sure have enjoyed the warmth that accompanies being in the spotlight. They won't be happy unless they dominate every news cycle now -- even to a point where they're willing to interject themselves into the "Is she too fat" controversy!

Only, instead of scrutinizing the "back fat" of a Victoria Secret Angel, retired General and Obama backer Merrill A. McPeak (pictured above), former Air Force chief of staff during 1991 Desert Storm, today tried to wrest the attention away from Karolina Kurkova by saying that we should be asking if John McCain, not the Brazilian model, is too chunky to do his job.

McPeak, who has already had to walk back a few "off message" comments he's made during this campaign, took a trip down memory lane to John McCain's lither days, saying:

"He was fresh out of jail, you know," Gen. McPeak said. "Skinny kid. All beat up of course, physically. But quite thin. They weren't feeding him very well in Hanoi. He's done very well at the dinner table in Washington."

Can you imagine? Aren't these people capable of allowing anyone else to have a little time in the sun? Not only that, those bastards ought to be more sensitive to the fact that weight gain can be a traumatic experience, and that not everyone can just substitute a cigarette for a meal so easily.

Predictably, the McCain camp -- at this point desperate for attention from anyone, for anything -- pounced on the war hero's comments and played the victim in a way that it would do Hillary Clinton herself proud.

A former POW with McCain responded:

"Surely a four-star general can come up with something better than that," said Orson Swindle, a former Marine Corps pilot who, like Mr. McCain, was shot down over enemy territory. "It reeks of pettiness and sarcasm, and I can't imagine why he can make that kind of comment to imply that John McCain feasts at the Washington establishment."

The McCain team may act as though they're offended by McPeak's remarks, but deep down they're just glad something is keeping their name in print for at least one more day.

Quando però le parole si tramutano in fatti e alla settimana della moda di San Paolo sfila la modella ceca Karolina Kurkova, gli spettatori e i fotografi storcono il naso alla vista di un sedere ricco di cellulite, poco sodo e qualche rotolino. Tutto naturale, basta guardare in spiaggia le donne in bikini, magre o meno, ogni donna deve fare i conti con gli inestetismi della pelle. Allora perché non portare in passerella le vere donne, perché non basta essere bella ed attraente, come la top model citata?

Capita così che ragazze che aspirano a qualche taglia in meno, siano le prime ad osservare con occhio critico le donne, notando ogni singolo difetto ed inneggiando al cattivo gusto; mi chiedo allora perché accusare i media di proporre modelli troppo magri, perfetti e fuori dai canoni naturali, se poi è proprio a quelli che ci si ispira?

Es raro no tener celulitis. Influye mucho la genética, la raza... Puedes estar esquelética y celulítica al mismo tiempo, y no hay más que ir a un desfile de moda de baño para comprobarlo.

Yo insisto en que cada vez se ven menos delgadeces extremas en pasarelas y alfombras rojas. Es un paso de gigante para nosotras y para ellos, que también andan muy presionados por un canon de belleza imposible y esperemos que ya superado.

For my part, I wish the women had more curves.  The stick models make me feel weird about myself: I'll be sitting there thinking -- "Ok, I'm supposed to find these women attractive because they are, I mean, models...but I don't" -- most of them just look like little boys to me.

Alright, so she's not 15 year-old-looking and malnourished. But how is that our standard of beauty? That is just straight up damaging. This girl is GORGEOUS. I would give up an arm to have her body. How is anyone supposed to live up to this standard of what's pretty? People literally die trying. Honestly, if this is fat I'm probably going to stop eating immediately. Disgusting right? Wrong...but poor Karolina Kurkova is being blasted by the media for having the nerve to show up to a fashion show looking so "disappointing". The audience was "shocked" and "distubed"  by the cellulite on her ass, and the supposed back fat hanging from the sides of her bikini.

I don't know about you, but if this is a disgrace to the perfect ideal someone else needs to take charge. The same people who produce a generation of models like  Ana Carolina Reston,

who is mentioned in the article as a Brazillian representation of perfection and also just happened to die of starvation, have the audacity to critisize the beautiful Karolina as if she's committed a sin by indulging in a meal from time to time.

Whats sick about this is that she is still most certainly below the healthy weight range for her height, and is thinner than 90% of the population, yet is apparently too fat to represent the ideal. I wouldn't be surprised if right this moment she is deciding which starvation diet to go with in order to get back to an acceptable weight for the media. 

Not to mention how this story must be circulating around pro ana groups as evidence that a meal will most certailnly destroy their dreams of perfection.  If you're reading this Karolina, call me and we'll go out and get  a burger together and tell the world to *uck off.

Na noite fria de quarta– feira (18/06), segundo dia do SPFW, a Cia.Marítima aumentou a temperatura com uma passarela de 52 metros em formato de cruz, aquecedores e com uma trilha impecável, idealizada pelo Instituto. A Cia.Marítima desfilou 21 estampas  em vestidos, batas, biquínis e maiôs ao estilo Hippie dos anos 60 e 70.

A top tcheca Karolina Kurkova causou alvoroço na passarela com sua beleza, seguida pelas atrizes Fiorella Mattheis e Débora Nascimento e por um casting recheado de tops como Michelle Alves, Elisa Joenck, Ana Claudia Michels, Fernanda Motta, entre outras.

A platéia estava repleta de celebridades e fashionistas como Carmo dalla Vecchia, Juan Alba, Ricardo Tozzi, Marcello Novaes, Thayla Ayala, Gabriela Duarte, Leilah Moreno, Marta Suplicy, Erika Palomino, Glória Kalil, Costanza Pascolato e a imprensa internacional que veio para a cobertura do evento.

Após o desfile, Benny Rosset celebrou o sucesso da coleção no terraço Itália, junto com amigos e convidados.

. Na verdade, cansei do papo fila A. Esse é o papo mais chato da temporada. Eu não ligo de sentar na fila B mas UM - você não enxerga o sapato e não enxerga se certos detalhes são bordados ou estampados (sério), DOIS - você pode não ligar de se sentar na fila B mas AS OUTRAS PESSOAS VÃO LIGAR. Você sente os olhares dos outros pensando "A-HÁ, eu sabia, para esse desfile ele não recebeu convite na fila A", o que é absolutamente ridículo e não quer dizer nada. Sem falsa modéstia, VAMOS OLHAR PARA A LENTE DA VERDADE E DIZER: já vi muita gente que escreve muito pior que eu sentado em lugar melhor.
Tô pensando em só cobrir backstage na próxima temporada. É muito mais legal, é muito mais notícia, é muito mais tranquilo, é muito menos ego. Desfile cansa, pouquíssimos valem a pena. Essa é a grande verdade, mas todo mundo disfarça, faz brinde com champagne (de graça, porque comprar champagne que é bom NADINHA), finge que tá tudo bem e que o jornalismo de moda é jornalismo. É, sim. Um super serviço para a população. ZZZZZZ... Diz a verdade, a gente trabalha com isso porque é MAIS FÁCIL.
AI, amargurei. Gente, na verdade era para ter sido bem humorado!

. Karolina Kurkova não tem um corpo feio - ela tem um umbigo estranho. Ana Claudia Michels já esteve muito mais gorda que a Karolina. E faz pouquíssimo tempo. Deixa a fofa ser feliz! Tá certa. . Todo mundo sentando, desfile da Fábia está para começar. Aparece o Corelli, autor da trilha, e me entrega o CD: "bee, é electro-folk, arrasa etc." - para colocar na seção Ouça do Chic (tá lá, ó). Aí o vídeo dos patrocinadores, toda aquela coisa, termina, luz apagada... e nada da trilha entrar. Vai. Mais cinco segundos e nada. Aí eu viro para a Milene e digo com uma cara bem inocente: "Vixe. Acho que tô com o CD, gente".
Claro que não, né, era uma cópia. Aí a trilha começou e lá estava Milene engolindo a gargalhada.

. Minha frase preferida atualmente é "olha a minha jóia de família".

Os outros são simpáticos, se esforçam, mas não conseguem ser tão engraçados. Fica uma coisa tipo... Pânico na TV. Ai, falei.

As mulheres continuam a povoar o imaginário masculino e feminino (?) neste Brasil afora. Tanto assim que os blogs que mais crescem em audiência são aqueles que apelam para o lado fetiche do leitor. Numa outra parte da blogesfera, os debates mais acalorados criticam ou elogiam a feira livre que se transformou o mercado de dançarinas e entre tantas que passeiam pelas passarelas do país. Tico Santa Cruz foi incisivo ao atacar os dotes da Mulher Melancia, aquela que apareceu no último sábado no programa Zorra Total, da Rede Globo, ao lado de Pedro Bismark e Agildo Ribeiro.

E como Melancia, a mulher Andressa Soares só tem o corpo como forma de trabalho, entrou muda e saiu calada.  No Pânico na TV, outra vez Melancia. A cena foi de um tremendo mau gosto. Um cara come um pedaço de pizza (?) colocado onde? Nas coxas da Melancia... E dizem que as fotos dela para a Playboy é puro photoshop. Então, passaram a mulher no computador para retirar os defeitos de fabricação. E deu no que deu!

Hilário mesmo está o blog do Bruno Mazzeo no post sobre a Mulher Cirurgia Plástica, ou seria a Mulher Plastificada? Ângela Bismark, aquela que adora um cirurgião plástico, é dissecada pelo filho do Chico Anísio. Vale a pena conferir.

A novidade mesmo surgiu nas passarelas de São Paulo: a Mulher Maracujá. A top Karolina Kurkova desfilou na SPFW com gordurinha e celulite à mostra. A modelo tcheca é fashion? Despida do pudor, apresentou o lado real de suas curvas.

E o consumidor mais ávido pode encontrar de tudo nesta feira livre. Se quiser, tem a Mulher Samambaia, a Mulher Jaca, a Mulher Moranguinho, a Mulher Filé, a Mulher Melão, que também é Mulher Bumbum. Tem a Mulher Banana – aquela do Ronaldo Fenômeno – e a Mulher Bananinha, a Dani do Caldeirão do Hulk.

Carla Perez, ex É o Tchan, que virou evangélica – assim como Gretchen, Monique Evans, e outras tantas que querem se livrar do pecado, diz que é a Mulher Salada de Frutas, ou seja, uma mistura de todas. Mas Gretchen e Evans voltaram para o pecado, assim como Leila Lopes (Quem?).

Mais no fundo mesmo, elas buscam permanecer na mídia durante o ano todo. Os requebros que duravam apenas o período de carnaval, agora invadem outros espaços. Dos bailes funks, dos programas de TV, das passarelas, dos shows fuleiros, bom ou péssimo, há opções para todos. É só conferir... 
E como tem mais mulheres do que texto para o leitor...

Concluo com a seqüência da Mulher Jaca e Dani, a Bananinha... Claro que não poderia faltar Carol Miranda, a sobrinha da Gretchen que tenta o trono da rainha do rebolado. Ou do Bumbum. É tanto talento...

Hoje Karolina Kurkova foi assunto em todos os sites especializado em moda e blogs de fashionistas. Também pudera a top exibia uma silueta no mínimo fora dos padrões para uma modelo no desfile de hoje da Cia. Marítma. E olha lá ela não é qualquer modelo e sim uma das principais Angels da grife de lingerie Victoria Secrets, aquela marca que todo mundo adora!

E a audiência feminina a.d.o.r.a. esse assunto e acredito eu que não seja por invejinha e sim porque essas mulheres maravilhosas e poderosas se aproximam mais da realidade delas(nossas). Quem não lembra como as fotos de Juliana Paes sem photoshop tomaram a mídia? E a Britney Spears na praia? (Quem não se recorda, coloquei as fotos abaixo).
