I'm kinda disappointed that Leighton didn't make the cover, I really think she's gorgeous. It may not be as prominent as Vanity Fair, but Leighton graces the cover of Lucky magazine's August issue. Hope she'll be lucky someday and bag a high-profile cover. Until then, XOXO to all.

Here's the recap for the Gossip Girl season finale, Much I Do About Nothing, courtesy of Buddy TV staff writer, Don Williams:

"Last week on Gossip Girl, we all gave a collective shrug as Serena admitted that she witnessed a drug overdose and left a man for dead. After she made peace with her actions, the extraordinary trio of Chuck, Blair, and Nate (Chace Crawford) decided to give Georgina the beat down of her life. However, the supremely evil diva managed to evade capture, and instead put the moves on poor, unsuspecting Dan. Meanwhile, Lily took her lips on a trip down memory lane by making out with Rufus. Will her indiscretion affect her impending marriage to Bart Bass?

To prepare for tonight's season finale, I've broken out a black headband, a multicolored scarf, white leggings, and a gin martini. It's time to wish the Upper East Siders a very scandalous summer.

Serena is trying to make up for going all Marissa on Dan (Penn Badgley) by filling up his voice mail with messages. When that doesn't work, she decides to drop in on him instead. Meanwhile, Lily and Rufus have just finished with a night of passionate boot knocking. Lily is understandably freaked out by this turn of events, but Rufus is just excited that Lincoln Hawk has landed a gig.

Speaking of Lincoln Hawk, is that name a reference to the Sylvester Stallone arm wrestling classic Over the Top? Considering that Josh Schwartz previously dropped Over the Top references on The O.C., I'm going to pretend it is.

Blair (Leighton Meester) wakes up next to Chuck and immediately smacks him. They fell asleep together while plotting against Georgina, and though Chuck was supposed to stay on the floor, he of course made his way to the bed in the middle of the night. While they bicker like old divorcees, Nate makes plans for his dad to meet Vanessa. His dad gets a call from someone he claims is his sponsor, but their conversation sounds far from innocent.

Serena (Blake Lively) arrives at Dan's place and finds that Georgina has spent the night. This episode has only been on for five minutes and it's already supremely scandalous! Georgina, or Sarah, plays the innocent schoolgirl card, but S freaks out and calls her a crazy, manipulative bitch. After G takes off, S spills the entire drug overdose story, and also explains that Georgina is nuttier than a Snickers bar. Serena still wants to believe that she's meant to be with Dan, but he has to think about things.

Bart asks Lily (Kelly Rutherford) if he should sell the old building he loves, but it's really just a sly way to ask her if she'd be willing to forget about Rufus. She says she will. At Blair's place, she's teamed up with Dan to plot against Georgina. D gets G on the phone, tells her that he wants to end things with Serena, and asks if she'll meet with him. Georgina falls right into his trap.

At their spot by the lake, G tries to pretend that S is the crazy one, but Dan is too smart to believe her. While they talk, Blair arrives along with Georgina's parents. It seems like the old folks are the only thing that strikes fear into G's evil little heart. Blair goes over a laundry list of Georgina's misdeeds, including the time she sold her prized horse for cocaine, and produces a brochure for a boot camp for bad girls. As Blair kisses Georgina goodbye, she says, "Haven't you heard? I'm the crazy bitch around here." This is the moment when I throw my black headband into the air in celebration, then down my gin martini in one gulp. You go Blair!

After Serena tells Dan that Lily stayed away from Rufus (Matthew Settle) because she asked her to, Dan passes the news on to his dad. However, that doesn't change the fact that Lincoln Hawk is going on tour and Lily is marrying Bart. At the wedding, Blair tells Chuck that she successfully destroyed Georgina, and that she now has no use for him. She even gives Chuck a kick in the shin to get her point across.

Chuck (Ed Westwick) witnesses Mr. Archibald doing some sort of shady exchange on the street. He hands a guy some cash and gets a rather large envelope in return. When will the people on this show learn not to do their scandalous deeds in the middle of the sidewalk? Meanwhile, Rufus walks in on Lily and asks if she wants him to interrupt the wedding. It's a nice romantic gesture, but Lily has a hundred reasons why it can't happen.

I really don't agree with the dresses that Serena and Blair are wearing in this episode, but that's not important. What is important is that Dan didn't sleep with Georgina. That's kind of too bad, because I was hoping G would return from boot camp all knocked up and claiming that Dan was the baby daddy. Wouldn't that have been awesome?

It's time for the wedding. Lily tells Rufus she loves him, then walks down the aisle and officially becomes Mrs. Bart Bass. At the reception afterwards, Serena is a bit pissed that Dan nearly slept with Georgina, and Chuck fills Nate in on his dad's shady deal. Nate doesn't want to believe him, but because he still loves Chuck deep down inside, he listens to him.

Nate's dad wasn't buying drugs earlier. He was buying a fake passport so he could flee the country and avoid his trial. He tells Nate that he has to step up and become the man of the family, and N gives him a swift punch in the face as a retort. Nate apologizes to Chuck, and they officially make up, shake hands, and rekindle their bromance. Vanessa arrives just in time to overhear some of the drama.

Serena tells Dan that she doesn't want to break up with him, but Dan doesn't feel the same way. S lied to him over and over again, and he's not sure that's something he can forgive. Serena tries to explain things, but Dan doesn't see how things can ever go back to normal. They're officially done for, at least until next season.

It's time for Chuck's toast at the reception. He uses his time in the spotlight to talk about the need for perseverance and forgiveness when it comes to romance, which is his way of apologizing to Blair. They share a dance and a kiss afterwards, where Chuck tells her that she obviously never belonged with Nate. He even tells her that they should do things right and not rush back into the sack. This is the moment where I throw my multicolored scarf into the air and dance a little jig.

I completely forgot about Jenny (Taylor Momsen). She's landed an internship at Parsons for the summer under Eleanor Waldorf. Oh God, she's going to come back more corrupted than ever! Meanwhile, Blair and Chuck are planning a trip to Europe, while Nate and Vanessa have called things off. Dan refers to Nate as "Man-Bangs," which is a great nickname for him. It looks like D and V are going to spend the summer in Brooklyn together.

S runs into N on the sidewalk, and they share a friendly moment together. Will they hook up again over the long summer months? Chuck says goodbye to his dad, who tells him that he'll soon learn about responsibility, sacrifice, and faithfulness now that he's with Blair. Chuck seems horrified by this possibility, as am I. The bad boy is simply too fabulous to settle down with one woman.

As the episode comes to a close, C seduces his interior designer, Amelia. His pickup line? "I'm Chuck Bass." While Blair is waiting at the airstrip, she strikes up a flirtation with one of the Bass employees. It looks like those two weren't meant for each other after all.

The first season of Gossip Girl wraps up with every character pursuing something, or someone, new. You know you love it. XOXO. See you in September!"

So, what do you think of the season finale? Aaaarrrgh, I'm still not over the ending. I'm pretty sure Josh Schwartz and the writers did it on purpose so that we all have something to look forward to next season. But do they really have to "kill" the Blair-Chuck moment? Can't they do it next season? I mean, the last Blair-Chuck moment that I was giddy over was Episode 10: Hi Society. Remember this scene?

After 8 episodes, Blair-Chuck shippers like yours truly got our wish of seeing the two getting it on. But I'm still not over the ending, hmmph!!!! :(

Vanessa's too good to be true in my opinion and she's better off with Nate 'cause both of them are boring! And let's not even begin with Serena and Dan. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

I don't like this. The GG writers are playing with us! I have a strong feeling that Blair and Chuck will still not hook up in the season finale next week so that the viewers will look forward to the second season later this year. I just wish there's more Blair and Chuck scenes on Monday, they're totally the major reason why I watch and love this series.

By the way, it looks like life is imitating art as Blake Lively (Serena) and Penn Badgley (Dan) were spotted canoodling during a romantic getaway last weekend in Mexico. The pair were hounded by speculations that they're also a couple in real life when the Gossip Girl series started last year, with the actors neither confirming nor denying the rumors. It seems now that the cat is out of the bag so to speak. I just wish them luck in their relationship since it would be pretty awkward don't you think if they broke up and still have to act as reel lovers.

Last week's episode of Gossip Girl was so wonderfully awesome that it nearly caused my little scandal-loving heart to burst.  Eric came out of the closet in front of all of his peers after he was caught making out with Jenny's scummy boyfriend, Asher.  Jenny (Taylor Momsen) was promptly ostracized from the clique after they realized that she lied about swiping her V card, leaving Blair as the winner of the social war.  In the biggest shocker of the evening, Serena let Blair in on the deep, dark secret from her past: she killed someone!

Tonight, Serena's bad girl side finally reemerges, which helps Nate and Chuck take steps to rekindle their bromance.

Sometimes I just wish Serena would end up with Nate and Dan with Vanessa. (Of course, a Chuck and Blair tandem is a given, no ifs and no buts, haha). D and S are getting so annoying together, it would be refreshing to see them with different partners for a change:

A real life socialite, Lydia Hearst, will appear in a guest role for Gossip Girl's finale. She will play the role of Amelia, Lily and Bart's interior designer for their apartment. She will also reportedly have a "moment" with Chuck. But knowing Chuck, it would obviously be just a fling or even a one-night stand so Blair-Chuck fans like me need not worry, hehe. But Chuck better behave. Blair will surely not like it:

By the way, the main cast of Gossip Girl was cited by People magazine as one of the world's Most Beautiful for its current issue. Hooray!

"The teens are all preparing for the SATs and all are very stressed. Serena and Chuck take a break to chat about Georgina, who was sending S mysterious, embarrassing gifts in the previous episode.

Chuck says G is dating some prince in a foreign country, so she's not even in town and there's nothing to worry about. We'll see about that. Serena soon gets the surprise of her life when Georgina shows up at school.

They share an awkward reunion, and Georgina complains that her feelings will be hurt if S doesn't show her a good time.

Speaking of good times, or not good times, Blair has planned an SAT prep party for the girls, much to the dismay of Jenny, who's not invited. J schemes to ascend to greater popularity by getting a boyfriend - and manages to get the phone number of a cute dog walker.

Reluctantly, Serena hangs out with Georgina, going out to get one drink for old times' sake. Of course one drink turns into more than that, and when S answers G's phone and hears it's her drug dealer, she freaks. Serena is so desperate for rescue that she calls Chuck for help, who then calls Dan and explains that S can't meet him for their study date.

The next day, a suspicious Dan (Penn Badgley) tells Chuck (Ed Westwick) to leave Serena alone, convinced that he's the one causing some sort of trouble.

Blair is determined to take down destroy a girl named Nelly Yuki, who is the only other person who wants to get into Yale as badly as she. Blair enlists her clique to help her with a diabolical plan.

Jenny sees the dog walker on the street again, and soon discovers that he's not a lowly dog walker, but a very preppy student after all.

Meanwhile, Nate (Chace Crawford) meets up with Vanessa after swinging by rehab to visit his dad. V called him after she read one of his SAT practice essays, and she wanted to apologize for being judgmental during an earlier run-in. Vanessa and Nate flirt after going out on the town together and share a passionate kiss on the street.

Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) gives Serena a call and claims that she totally accepts S' clean new lifestyle. G wants to meet up for dinner (NO drinks), and S agrees, even though she has to study. Georgina clearly wears the pants here.

Rufus (Matthew Settle) is not thrilled that J has a date with the dog guy. It doesn't matter how many cute guys she runs into, she's still grounded. J wants to get out of the house to see her new boy toy, but Rufus still refuses to let her.

However, the boy in question, Asher, is undeterred and shows up at her loft with a bag full of hot dogs. Rufus isn't amused at first, but he melts a little bit when Asher charms him with a compliment about being a good father to ground J.

Nelly Yuki is in for a shock at Blair's SAT prep party, which B invited her to because she's so nice - B invited her ex-boyfriend as well!

As for Serena and Georgina, they're sharing a relaxed dinner. G pretends to be on her best behavior, but the instant S leaves the table to make a phone call, she slips a strange liquid into her Diet Coke. When she comes back, G smiles innocently and proposes a toast to the new Serena.

A dazed Serena wakes up the next day with absolutely no memory of what the heck happened the night before. She is late for her SATs, but Georgina refuses to take any blame. S calls Chuck again.

That morning, Nate encourages Vanessa to take her SATs, which she wasn't planning on doing as they don't fit into her career plans. V reluctantly agrees when he shows up at her job and offers her a lift!

Nelly Yuki wasted her entire night getting nowhere with her ex-boyfriend - she's an emotional train wreck, got no sleep, and has no batteries in her calculator (thanks to Blair). Forget Yale, Nelly Yuki!!

Walking out of the SATs, Blair (Leighton Meester) and Dan both see Nate and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) sharing an intimate moment on the street. Awkward to say the least.

Dan goes to see Serena (Blake Lively), only to find her hanging out with Chuck and lying again. Chuck apparently paid someone to take Serena's SATs, which Serena doesn't know about until Dan mentions he observed it at the venue.

Upset, Dan takes off, and Chuck surmises that Georgina must have some juicy dirt on Serena - not because she's lying to Dan but since she won't even tell Chuck what the heck is going on. Later, S goes to visit G and tells her never to contact her again. Ever.

Georgina talks cryptically, mentioning something that Serena walked in on last year. She was part of some huge scandal, apparently, but S won't talk about it.

She says if she's going down, G is going down with her. WTF happened!!?

In the final scene, Georgina just happens to run into Dan and flirts with him a bit. She lies and introduces herself as Sarah. OMG."

Oh well, I really thought that I will see some Blair-Chuck action for this episode but I was wrong yet again, ho-hum. But I enjoyed this clip featuring the two sharing an awkward moment, hehe. Hoping to see both of them together in the succeeding episodes. *crossing my fingers*

Episode 1.15 - Desperately Seeking Serena [Airing April 28]: Hazel and Penelope try to recruit Nelly Yuki, daughter of a man who owns half of the commercial real estate in Manhattan, to be part of a new club but it's easier said than done. Blair supervises the whole scene. When Nelly breaks down after being reminded of her recent break-up with boyfriend Todd Jansen, the ladies find their way in and have Nelly come to the Waldorf penthouse. Blair invites Todd over. Serena goes out with Georgina but things get bad to the point that Serena thinks one of her drinks was spiked. Nate offers flowers to one of the girls for taking the SAT. Jenny develops a crush on 16-year-old dog-walker Asher Hornsby. Elise, Vanessa, Dan, and Rufus also appear.

Episode 1.16 - All About My Brother [Airing May 5]: Serena wants to confront Georgina but the latter left before Serena could. The latter claims that she and Georgina are not friends.

Episode 1.17 [Airing May 12]: A journalist from Rolling Stone interviews Lily about her work. He shows her a picture she took of Rufus when he was the lead singer of "Lincoln Hawk" and asks her if they were an item at the time. Lily becomes uncomfortable but the journalist keeps pushing. She eventually ends the interview. Lily meets with her wedding planner, Claudette. Vanessa helps out Rufus, who is back on stage with his band. Georgina sets up a camera to have a genuine "van der Woodsen" sex tape. Dan searches for Serena and learns that she didn't sleep in her bed the night before... Bart also appears.

Episode 1.18 (Season finale) [Airing May 19]: Georgina's parents are tired of her antics and tell her that things won't be alright if she doesn't get her act together. Blair is there for support... or is she? The Sparks want to send their daughter to a boot camp for troubled girls. At the wedding, Bart, Lily, Chuck and Eric are all smiles. Things between Dan and Serena aren't that peachy. Rufus surprises Lily in the bridal chamber.
