Le groupe est toujours aussi sympa et a toujours autant d'énergie même après plus de 10 ans de scène.

Malheureusement encore une fois je me suis fait confisquer ma caméra à l'entrée, mais j'avais prévu le coup et j'avais donc pris mon appareil photo pour compenser.
La qualité est donc loin d'être la même, mais bon, c'est mieux que rien !

Fue la primera vez que matamos zombies juntos :D

Es raro como nunca me sentí incómoda en los silencios a su lado.  Es extraño cómo uno de mis temas preferidos me haya hecho encontrar a una de mis personas favoritas. Y aunque no le guste el fútbol y le tenga poco aprecio a las matemáticas, siempre hay un buen tema para conversar; y si no, igual... los silencios mientras camino de su brazo son igual de bonitos (es de esos ke recuerdas y t hacen suspirar :$)

El mar tenía agua transparente y estaba tranquilo como para meterse al fondo y nadar sin miedo. Lo único que me daba cosa eran el par de medusas ke vi nadando cerquita; pero fue más para darle emoción, después la playa estaba hermosa, nunca antes había estado tan bella.

Y más bella aún con la compañía que tuve a mi lado, sino hubiese sido un día de playa cualquiera. No quisiera retroceder el tiempo, pero sí detenerlo. Tout doucement, toujours tout doucement.

No es que haya sido un día perfecto (se me perdieron por un largo rato mis slaps y se malogró la combi XD); pero no necesita que todo sea exacto para hacerme realmente feliz. No es sólo "contenta". No sólo es "emocionada". No sólo es "trankila". Es FELIZ.

Por allí una vez leí "tanta felicidad que da miedo". No kiero pensar en eso. Sólo quiero disfrutar el recuerdo y encontrar un dejavu.

Sorry about the lack of posts... the holidays were pretty crazy over here. Now back to business...

As many people have written for several years now, Nada Surf has been putting out great record after great record, despite being a "one-hit wonder" with their single "Popular" from 1996, which was all over eMpTyV that summer.

Nada Surf was kicked off their label shortly after the release of their second album, 1998's The Proximity Effect. Rumor had it that the label wanted them to be "more like The Foo Fighters" which was a problem that Jimmy Eat World encountered a year later with their album Clarity. Nada Surf's sophomore album was chock full of great hooks and solid songwriting, especially with the song "Mother's Day" which is featured below (pay close attention to the lyrics).

After label/distribution issues which prevented the band from getting The Proximity Effect heard on a mass scale, Nada Surf finally got hooked up with a new label, this time an indie called Barsuk, which released their third record Let Go in 2002. This album really cemented their status as that all-important category of "great band." I've included "Blizzard of '77" and "Inside Of Love" from that record, below.

Nada Surf have a rabid fanbase, without any radio play or good distribution. When the people know great music, they know great music... and it gets out there no matter what. That's one of the reasons I started this music blog. Enjoy.

Es bastante tierna y describe muy bien esos momentos en los cuales tienes al "special one" descansando en tus brazos, te sientes algo vulnerable por el sentimiento que te inspira pero no dejas de sonreir. Es la felicidad total.
