Sølv: 925-stemplet som ses, oftest i større smykkedele er kvalitetsstempel for at sølv-legeringen indeholder 92,5 % rent Sølv og 7,5 % stabiliserende metal (som regel Kobber). 100 % rent Sølv (finsølv) vil i de fleste tilfælde være for blødt et materiale at arbejde med, derfor tilsættes det kobber.
- Der findes mange sølvprodukter på markedet der ikke har meget med sølv at gøre. Jo renere Sølv, des mindre er risikoen for eksem, nikkelallergi og andre hud irritationer.

Gulddublé: Smykkedele belagt med et ekstra tykt lag guld. Guldbelægningen er her ca. 50 gange tykkere end almindelig forgyldning. Belægningens tykkelse kan variere, dog mest alm. er det at guldbelægningen er 14 kt. og 1/20 (5 %) af samlet vægt. Dette betyder, med andre ord, en meget holdbar belægning der ikke slides af eller krakelerer. Dog vil hårdhændet behandling selvfølgelig give nogle skader og badning i pools eller kontakt med div. kemikalier kan ødelægge selv massivt guld.

Forgyldt Sølv: Kaldes også Vermeil, er 925-Sterlingsølv belagt med 22-24 kt. Guld. Guldlaget er her ikke så tykt og slidstærkt som Double. Men med St. sølv under belægningen er det stadig ædelt metal hele vejen igennem. Belægningen anvendes derfor ofte til smykkedele der har direkte kontakt med huden, da evt. slid og skader ikke vil give eksem, allergi og hud irritationer.

Forgyldt/Forsølvet Messing helst ikke bruges til ørekroge og ørestikker, hvis man lige har fået lavet hul i øret. Da disse er særligt udsatte for vrid, slid og hudens naturlige afsyring, da metallet her kan komme i direkte kontakt med blodbanerne. Ellers kan man dog godt bruge Forgyldt og Forsølvet messing (vil jeg mene), men belægningen holder ikke lige så godt.

Bali Sølv er med sine ca. 85 % sølv relativt tættere på sterling.
Ligesom Tibetansk sølv er disse smykkedele traditionelt helt fri for nikkel men tjekkes alligevel altid.

Im Internet Explorer wurde ein Sicherheitsleck entdeckt, das im schlimmsten Fall zum Ausführen von Schadcode missbraucht werden kann. Der Fehler steckt in der Funktion zum Ausdrucken einer Linkliste auf einer Webseite. Standardmäßig ist diese Funktion nicht aktiviert, so dass der Nutzer sein System verändern muss, bevor ein Angreifer diesen Fehler ausnutzen kann.

In den Druckoptionen des Internet Explorers findet sich der Eintrag "Liste der Links drucken", um die in einer Webseite enthaltenen Links übersichtlich zu Papier zu bringen. Ein Fehler in dieser Funktion ermöglicht eine Cross-Zone-Scripting-Attacke, über die ein Angreifer an vertrauliche Informationen gelangen oder im schlimmsten Fall Schadcode ausführen kann, berichtet Aviv Raff. Wenn diese Option aktiviert ist, genügt bereits das Ausdrucken einer Webseite, um Opfer eines solchen Angriffs zu werden.

Das Sicherheitsloch hat Raff für den Internet Explorer 7 sowie für die Beta-Fassung des Internet Explorers 8 bestätigt. Der Fehler könnte aber auch frühere Versionen des Microsoft-Browsers betreffen. Auf Systemen mit Windows XP kann über das Sicherheitsleck beliebiger Programmcode ausgeführt werden, während die Benutzerkontensteuerung von Windows Vista dies verhindert. Dadurch lässt sich das Sicherheitsleck unter Windows Vista nur zum Ausspionieren von Daten missbrauchen.

Microsoft hat bislang keinen Patch veröffentlicht, um das Sicherheitsleck im Internet Explorer zu beseitigen. Wann ein Patch geplant ist, ist nicht bekannt. (ip)

Auf HP-Rechnern mit AMD-Prozessoren führt die Installation des Service Packs 3 (SP3) für Windows XP dazu, dass das System nicht mehr ordentlich startet. Mit einem Tool lässt sich das System vor der Installation des SP3 so verändern, dass Windows XP nach der Einspielung des Patchpakets einwandfrei läuft. HP arbeitet mit Microsoft derzeit an einer Fehlerkorrektur für das Problem.

Kurz nach dem Erscheinen des Service Packs 3 für Windows XP wurden Probleme im Zusammenspiel mit AMD-Prozessoren bekannt. Eine der Schwierigkeiten tritt nur auf HP-Computern, die mit AMD-Prozessoren bestückt sind, auf und führt dazu, dass die Rechner nach der Installation des Service Packs 3 nicht mehr ordentlich hochfahren. Die Ursache liegt darin, dass HP seine Rechner mit einheitlichen Betriebssystem-Images ausstattet, ganz gleich, ob es sich um Intel- oder AMD-Systeme handelt. Das führt dazu, dass der Windows-Treiber intelppm.sys für die Stromsparfunktionen auf beiden Prozessorplattformen läuft, auch wenn dieser eigentlich nur für Intel-Prozessoren gedacht ist.

Diese Informationen hatte der ehemalige Microsoft-Mitarbeiter Jesper Johansson zusammengetragen und bietet nun ein Tool an, um einen HP-Rechner mit AMD-Prozessor vor der SP3-Einspielung so zu präparieren, dass der Fehler nicht mehr auftritt. Das Tool steht kostenlos als Download bereit und schaltet das Laden des Intel-Treibers ab. Dann kann das Service Pack 3 installiert werden und Windows XP fährt danach ohne Probleme wieder hoch. Derartige nicht von Microsoft stammende Tools werden vom Windowshersteller üblicherweise nicht gutgeheißen.

Derweil arbeiten HP und Microsoft noch daran, diesen Fehler auszumerzen, berichtet eWeek mit Verweis auf HP-Aussagen. In den nächsten Tagen soll ein Patch über die HP-Update-Funktion verteilt werden, mit dem der Fehler behoben werden soll. (ip)

The classroom full of fourth graders was busy with their Classmate PCs when teacher Hary Pujianto told them to get ready to answer five multiple-choice questions on their respective computers.

Ignoring the children's cries, Pak Hary immediately clicked the mouse and the students had two minutes to finish the quiz on their PCs.

"After two minutes, we can immediately see their answers. The grade also comes out immediately," Hary said, pointing to his laptop.

It was a simulation by Menteng 03 state elementary school's computer laboratory. The school received Classmate PCs from Intel Corp. as part of the company's cooperation with Indonesia's Education Ministry to boost e-learning in the country. Gunung 05 elementary state school received similar assistance.

On Thursday, Intel signed agreements with Education Ministry on the Intel World Ahead program.

Intel, the world's largest computer processor manufacturer, has committed to help the government by providing affordable PCs with its latest generation of microprocessors in a move toward greater access to the Internet for students.

After the signing, chairman of the board of Intel Corp., Craig R. Barrett, met with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the Presidential Palace to discuss the US$200 personal computer program that will support the education sector in lowering the PC-to-student ratio from 1:3,000 to 1:20.

"We discussed with the President the prospect of low-cost PCs with our next generation of microprocessor that will be released in June. We'll be working with Indonesian manufacturers to produce the PCs," Barrett said after the meeting.

Presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal said the President appreciated the cooperation between Intel and the government and expected the low-cost PCs to be available soon for Indonesian students.

He said the President's meeting with Barrett was a follow-up to last week's meeting with Microsoft Corp. founder Bill Gates, during which they discussed free software for the low-cost computers.

"The President is very glad the government is able to move on its plan to procure computers for educational purposes at $200 per unit," Dino said.

Communication and Information Minister Muhammad Nuh said the government invited local computer manufacturers to produce the low-cost PCs.

Earlier, Education Minister Bambang Sudibyo said Indonesia hoped to provide 20-unit computer laboratories in every school in the country by 2016.

"With affordable computers like Classmate PCs it will cost a school about Rp 50 million (US$5,405) to set up a computer laboratory. In the long run, we hope each teacher and each student can have their own laptop," he said.

To support the move, the Education Ministry has been developing local content, facilitating schools and universities to develop their own content and developing e-books.

Barrett said Intel has started to donate 4,000 PCs in Indonesia over a four-year term, with 625 units given away to 33 schools this year.

House Deputy Speaker Muhaimin Iskandar said the legislature would ask the President to provide details about the government's plan to increase fuel prices.

"The House has agreed to invite the government, including the President, for a consultation meeting in which the government must explain to us in detail its plan for the fuel price hike," said Muhaimin after presiding over a House consultative body meeting here Thursday.

The government plans to raise fuel prices to cap fuel subsidies and protect the state budget in the face of soaring global crude oil prices. This plan evoked criticism from lawmakers Monday during a plenary meeting to mark the House's opening of the new legislative period. The House has yet to declare its institutional stance on the issue.

"The House, through consultation with the government, wants to understand precisely the target and design of the price hike, so we will know how to respond to this plan," Muhaimin said.

He added that this consultation was also important for informing the public about the government's plan.

Muhaimin said the meeting would be attended by House executives and heads of House factions, commissions and bodies.

He said the exact schedule for the meeting would depend on the President. "We expect that we can have this meeting as soon as possible."

Earlier Thursday, the Regional Representatives Council, in a plenary session, rejected the proposed fuel price increases.

"Our concrete stance is the government must undertake other options before raising fuel prices," said Council Speaker Ginandjar Kartasasmita after the session.

He said any adjustments to the economic structure, including the easing of fuel subsidies, could not be done in the midst of the economic downturn.

"The government should maintain the oil subsidy while it continues to take measures to restore our economy. This would be a better policy for the long-term viability of our economy," Ginandjar said.

He added that the Council did not want the government to maintain the fuel subsidies permanently.

"It's fine if one day the government adopts the actual cost for determining fuel prices, but not now when the people are under pressure," he said.

He said Indonesia should be taking advantage of soaring global oil prices by increasing domestic oil production and reducing domestic oil consumption. He added that the government must also step up efforts to find alternative energy sources.

PENGGUNAAN alat bantu mendengar (ABM) biasa dipakai untuk mengatasi ketulian. Jika tak ada perbaikan, implantasi koklea menjadi alternatif menyelamatkan pendengaran seumur hidup.

Tuli atau gangguan pendengaran bisa dialami siapa pun dan kapan pun. Kerusakan pendengaran bisa menyebabkan kesulitan berkomunikasi.

Hal itu membuat orang tuli berisiko terisolasi secara fisik, mental, maupun sosial. Ditambah risiko kecelakaan yang lebih tinggi mengingat mereka tidak bisa mendengar bunyi klakson atau sirene peringatan saat ada kebakaran misalnya.

WHO mencatat, pada tahun 2000 terdapat 250 juta orang yang kehilangan kemampuan mendengar. Sementara di Indonesia, data Kementrian Kesehatan tahun 1994-1996 menyebutkan bahwa gangguan pendengaran terdiri atas kerusakan telinga sebesar 18,5%, kehilangan pendengaran sebesar 16,8%, dan tuli sebesar 0,1% dari total jumlah penduduk.

"Rubela, suatu penyakit infeksi yang umum, merupakan penyebab utama pada kasus ketulian anak-anak di Indonesia," ungkap spesialis THT dari RS Pantai Indah Kapuk (RSPIK) Jakarta Barat, Dr Sosialisman SpTHT. Sebagian besar anak-anak yang teridentifikasi kehilangan pendengaran, lanjutnya, justru terlahir dari orangtua yang bisa mendengar.

Bagi anak-anak dengan gangguan pendengaran yang parah, deteksi dan penanganan sedini mungkin merupakan kunci kepastian agar mereka tetap dapat mengembangkan kecakapan berbicara dan berbahasa.

"Ada atau tidaknya ketulian sebenarnya sudah bisa dideteksi sejak bayi berusia 3 bulan," ujar Sosialisman. Pada pendengaran normal, suara yang masuk akan diproses dalam koklea, sebuah saluran atau tuba yang berputar spiral mirip rumah siput dan berisi organ-organ pendengaran.

Getaran gelombang suara disalurkan ke koklea sehingga terjadi gerakan pada cairan, sel-sel rambut, dan membran-membran di dalamnya. "Sel-sel rambut inilah yang mengirim sinyal saraf ke otak. Jika terjadi kerusakan atau gangguan, otomatis suara tidak dapat ditangkap dan diterjemahkan di otak," terangnya.

Orang yang terdeteksi gangguanpendengaran, biasanya diberikan terapi dengan alat bantu mendengar (ABM) atau hearing aids sekitar enam bulan. Selama itu pula dilakukan serangkaian tes untuk mengetahui respons pendengaran dan kemampuan berkomunikasi. Jika tak berpengaruh signifikan, implantasi koklea menjadi solusi berikutnya.

Tuli akibat infeksi dan tuli konduktif atau gangguan di telinga luar dan tengah umumnya bisa diobati atau dibantu dengan ABM. Namun, pada tuli sensorial alias kerusakan di area dalam telinga, rata-rata tidak bisa dipulihkan atau diatasi dengan ABM. Begitupun pada tuli kongenital bawaan lahir.

Salah satu solusi adalah dengan implantasi koklea. Caranya dengan menanamkan sejenis peranti digital di dalam telinga untuk menggantikan fungsi koklea yang rusak. Lalu disambungkan dengan perangkat pengatur digital dan mikrofon di bagian luar.

Alat itu bekerja dengan menghindari bagian-bagian yang rusak di telinga bagian dalam untuk menstimulasi serat-serat pendengaran yang masih tersisa, kemudian mengirim sinyal ke otak. Sehingga, yang bersangkutan tak hanya mampu mendengar kembali, tetapi juga dapat menikmati musik.

Teknologi implantasi koklea sendiri sebenarnya sudah ada sejak 40 tahun lalu. Orang dengan implantasi koklea biasanya dapat mendengarkan percakapan dengan baik, tapi untuk musik masih terdengar parau. Sejumlah produk seperti Harmony menawarkan solusi perbaikan.

"Teknologi terbaru memungkinkan orang tuli mendengarkan berbagai suara dengan intensitas dan frekuensi berbeda-beda," kata Managing Director The Hearing Solution, Manfred Stoifl.

Il Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga, in collaborazione con il Centro Ricerche Miele del dipartimento di Biologia dell'Università di Roma "Tor Vergata", e la FAI - Federazione Apicoltori Italiani - ha intrapreso un'azione di monitoraggio ambientale attraverso lo studio dei mieli e dei pollini prodotti nell'area protetta. Si tratta di un progetto pilota di notevole interesse scientifico che poggia su una ricerca sperimentale e innovativa in cui il miele viene utilizzato come bioindicatore della qualità ambientale dell'area protetta. Allo stesso tempo il progetto mira a verificare la qualità dei mieli in termini di contenuto di nutraceutici (molecole a spiccata azione antitumorale), in funzione della tipologia di flora e della qualità ambientale. In sintesi, l'alveare viene impiegato come un sofisticato strumento di indagine e il miele viene ad essere, a tutti gli effetti, la carta d'identità del territorio.

Hanya saja, sambungnya, ada hal yang tidak dapat dimungkiri yaitu kodrat bahwa seorang pria tetaplah pria dan wanita tetaplah wanita. Tetapi kedua jenis ini boleh sama-sama melakukan karier atau hobi.

"Bahkan di negara manapun, termasuk Indonesia, wanita boleh menjadi presiden. Hal tersebut sudah menjadi tanda bahwa kita menganut keterbukaan interpersonal. Artinya, kita sudah tidak melihat lagi pada gender tapi semua punya hak yang sama. Hanya tinggal bagaimana mencapai prosesnya," papar almamater Universitas Guna Dharma itu.

Normally at this stage of the season things are done and dusted and we'd all stand around in the pubs and clubs of Alba sipping our warm pint of Bellhaven discussing the season's highlights and lowlights. But there is still a lot of unfinished business to tidy up, not least Rangers' backlog of games which has them playing three games as well the Scottish Cup Final in two weeks, and of course whether or not Strachan will get the heave-ho at Celtic.

In fairness, there are only two games on this week that are in any way meaningful. The rest are just there because Setanta already had the outside catering (i.e. "Big Morag's Burger Van") booked up in Inverness and cancelling would have set them back literally hundreds of pennies.

Rangers go into the first of a series of away games that they must win (and hope Celtic slip up). And with the mighty Aberdeen not playing till the 22nd (against none other than Rangers), the only game worthy of note north of the Clyde is between my other Scottish team  Deveronvale and Scotlands worst team this season (and possibly ever) Fort William FC. We look ahead to this one and try and guess how many goals Fort William will concede in this, their last game for the season. So, lets get started.

Motherwell vs. Rangers

I said in an earlier article that this is the crunch game for Rangers, the one that I think determines whether they'll win the league or not. I've changed my mind on that, because I think they'll beat Motherwell tomorrow, and though Rangers still have to travel north to face Aberdeen in a game that's traditionally very fiery (to put it mildly) and which I also think they'll win, the banana skin game for them is going to be the St Mirren game on Monday night. A typical top vs bottom game, this is the one where, should Rangers lose the league, then its on the green, green fields of Paisley where it'll happen.

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

So far this season it's been Rangers all the way, with three wins and a draw to show for their efforts. With the exception of a 3-1 drubbing in the Boxing Day game, these two generally don't go in for massive score lines. Only six goals in three outings (leaving aside again the Boxing Day game) is not much so I'm expecting much of the same. It was Rangers that knocked Motherwell out of the League Cup last October so it's a bit late for Motherwell to get revenge for that particular defeat. And anyway, in every subsequent chance they had to extract revenge they lost on both occasions.

With Rangers not reporting any serious injuries from the game in Manchester they'll be out to put behind them the disappointment of that Uefa Cup defeat. And what better way to do that than a solid thrashing of some SPL cannon fodder, right? But Motherwell have proven they're no push-overs this season, and even though they have nothing to play for (having secured 3rd spot when Hibernian lost to Celtic last week), I can't imagine Mark McGhee allowing his side to put in a sub-standard performance against their rivals from up the M74.

I cant see anything other than a Rangers win, simply because they have to win. Tomorrows game will be a typical Scottish affair (i.e. scrappy and lots of cards). Rangers to win 0-1.

Inverness CT vs St Mirren

St Mirren managed to draw 0-0 with basement boys (but not in an Austrian sense) Gretna last week in a game so devoid of anything of interest to note that I'm not even going to bother. St Mirren are third bottom, Caley just above them. The only thing at stake is a possible 9th place but with only 6 goals scored in 3 meetings (a win, a loss and a draw) between these two sides this season, dont expect either of these teams to surprise us with a goal avalanche. Hard to call really. 1-0 to Caley.

Kilmarnock vs Falkirk

Much to everyone's surprise, Kilmarnock managed to beat a very poor Hearts side last week giving them the possibility of not finishing bottom (forgetting Gretna for a minute) if St Mirren lose to Caley and Rangers in the upcoming games. It's worth fighting for right? Falkirk have had a good season by their standards and they'll be looking to continue that going into this game. The rebuilding has already started for next season with Jackie McNamara joining the Buddies from Aberdeen, and Dermott McCaffrey, Lee Bullen and Neill McCann joining from Hibernian, Dunfermline and Hearts respectively.

In terms of past results, rearrange the following to make a well-known phrase or sentence: "arse, duck, tighter, a, than". A massive three goals all season between these two gives you an idea of the sort of game we're facing here. A 1-0 win for Falkirk.

Fort William FC v Deveronvale FC

Meanwhile, up in the Highland League, Fort William conceded 39 goals in a run of 4 games - that's one more than Gretna conceded all season!  The last time these two played, Banff based Deveronvale put 11 past 'The Fort', so expect more of the same. Deveronvale are currently lying fourth in the table, just outside the European places (only joking) and a win would have them leapfrog over Buckie and into third spot.

It's hard to predict anything other than another massive drubbing. For Fort William, the 11th season spent looking up the skirts of the teams above them on the league ladder beckons. Which is nice. A thumping 8-0 win for Deveronvale.

But sure, what do I know about football. My predictions this season have been pure gash, so don't go bet the farm on the basis of what I say, awright? If you think you can do better than me, then leave a comment and show us your mettle! A massive prize is at stake(*)

Seguimos en Venezuela, hemos visto a muy pocos amigos. Hemos estado en un plan de salud y familiares más allegados completo!!! Charlotte muy feliz disfrutando de todo. Mamá aprendiendo y mejorando cada día más. Regresamos listas a Holanda!!!.

Quería escribir corto para decir y explicarles a la gente que queremos y que no hemos contactado que estamos muy pendientes de ustedes. Que no sé si por el tiempo que nos quede aquí podamos verlos o contactarlos, el cariño es el mismo.

Este viaje ha sido para nosotros una oportunidad única que no estamos desperdiciando. En Venezuela, la dimensión de el tiempo es otra cosa. Es más intenso y largo, cuando se quiere hacer cosas y coordinar.

Agrego a este comentario mi caotismo. Y a veces no he llamado.

Por ejemplo este fin de semana se casa mi primita Adrianita... que ahora es Adrianota. No vamos a asistir a su boda en Puerto la Cruz.
