டாக்டர் எச்.வி. ஹண்டே

வரலாற்று நூல் ஆசிரியர்களும், அரசியல் மேதைகளும், பல அரசியல்வாதிகளும், ராஜாஜி பற்றி கூறுகின்ற ஒரு கருத்து இது:

""இந்திய சுதந்திரத்திற்கு 5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னதாக (1942 - ல்), நாட்டுப் பிரிவினை குறித்த ராஜாஜியின் கொள்கைத் திட்டம் (Rajaji Formula) ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்பட்டிருந்தால், சிறப்பாக இருந்திருக்கும். இரண்டாவது உலக யுத்தத்தில், தோல்வி பயத்தினால் நடுங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்த பிரிட்டிஷ் அரசு, மகாத்மா காந்திக்கு அன்றைய தினம் மிகுந்த முக்கியத்துவம் தந்திருக்கும். ஜின்னாவுக்கு அவர்களுக்கு அரசியலில் பிடியே கிடைத்திருக்காது. உக்ரேனும், ரஷ்யாவும், பிரிந்த பிறகும் நட்புமிக்க அண்டைநாடுகளாக வளர்ந்திருக்கின்றன. அது மாதிரி இந்தியாவும் பாகிஸ்தானும் பிரிந்த பிறகும் நட்புடன் இருந்திருக்கும். இந்திய நாடு இன்னும் வலிமையுள்ள நாடாக ஆகியிருக்கும். பல இரத்த ஆறுகள் ஓடிய நிலை முழுவதுமாகத் தவிர்க்கப்பட்டிருக்கலாம்.''

இந்த ஒருமித்த கருத்தைப் பலர் தெரிவிக்கிறார்கள். கடைசியாக ராஜாஜியின் அதே கொள்கைத் திட்டம்தான், மெüண்ட்பேட்டன் திட்டம் என்ற பெயரில், 1947 ஜூன் மாதத்தில் அனைவராலும் ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு, இந்தியா இரண்டு நாடுகளாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டது.

இதே கருத்தினை ஸ்ரீபிரகாசாவும் கூறுகிறார். ஸ்ரீபிரகாசா சென்னை மாகாணத்தின் கவர்னராக 1952 - 54-ல் இருந்தவர். ராஜாஜி மாகாண முதலமைச்சராக இருந்த கால கட்டம் அப்போது. அதற்கு சுமார் 15 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு, ராஜாஜியின் 89 வது பிறந்த நாளில், அவரைப் பற்றி ஸ்ரீபிரகாசா இவ்வாறு கூறினார்:

""ராஜாஜி தொலை நோக்கு படைத்தவர். எந்தப் பிரச்சினை, எப்படி மாற்றமடைந்து வளரும் என்பதை முன்கூட்டியே அறிந்து கொள்ளக்கூடியவர். பாகிஸ்தான் உருவாகும் என்பதை அவரால் முன்னதாகவே கண்டு கொள்ள முடிந்தது. ஒவ்வொருவரையும் இது குறித்து அவர் எச்சரித்தார். அவருடைய கருத்து ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்படாததால் நிலைமை மோசமடைந்தது. ராஜாஜியின் சொற்களை முதலிலேயே கேட்டு நடந்திருந்தால், கண்ணீர் சிந்த வேண்டிய அவசியமில்லாமல், நியாயமான பாகிஸ்தானை நாம் அண்டை நாடாக அடைந்திருக்கலாம். ஆனால் தீர்க்க முடியாத வடிவில் பிரச்சினைகளைத் தரக்கூடியதொரு பாகிஸ்தானைப் பெற்றோம். நண்பர்களாகத் தொடர்ந்து இருக்க வேண்டிய மக்களிடையே, காழ்ப்புணர்ச்சியும், பகைமையும் வளர்ந்தோங்க வழி வகுத்தோம்.''

இதே போல பொருளாதார வல்லுநர்கள், ராஜாஜி வலியுறுத்தியபடியே போட்டிச் சந்தைப் பொருளாதாரத்தையும் (Market Economy) தனியார்மயமாக்குதலையும் 35 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே ஏற்றுக் கொண்டிருக்கலாம் என்று கருதுகிறார்கள்.

1992 இல் பி.வி.நரசிம்மராவ் மற்றும் மன்மோகன்சிங் தலைமையில், அரைகுறை மனதோடு, வேறு வழியின்றி நாட்டுப் பொருளாதாரம் ராஜாஜி வலியுறுத்திய திசையில் திருப்பி விடப்பட்டது.

35 ஆண்டுகள் முன்னதாக 1957 - ல் ராஜாஜி இதே நடவடிக்கைகளுக்காக, எவ்வளவோ சொல்லிப் பார்த்தார். பர்மிட் - லைசென்ஸ் - கோட்டா ராஜை ஒழித்துக் கட்டவேண்டுமென்றும் அறைகூவல் விட்டார்! யாரும் கேட்கவில்லை.

அப்போதே ராஜாஜியின் கருத்துக்களை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தால் இன்றைய இந்தியா வளமிக்க நாடாக விளங்கியிருக்கும் என்பதில் ஐயமில்லை.

தென்கொரியாவை விட , மலேசியாவை விட, நம்முடைய நாடு பொருளாதாரரீதியாக ஜப்பான் நாட்டிற்கு ஈடாக வளர்ந்திருக்கும் என்று வேதனை அடைகிறார்கள் பலர்.

ராஜாஜியின் பல்வேறு உன்னதமான கருத்துக்களும் தீர்வுகளும் அவரது காலத்து மக்களில் பலரால் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டன. அல்லது குறைத்து மதிப்பிடப்பட்டன. ஆனால் பிற்கால நிகழ்ச்சிகள் ராஜாஜியின் கருத்துக்களின் உயர்வை உறுதி செய்யும் வகையிலேதான் அமைந்தன.

எடுத்துக்காட்டாக, ராஜாஜி தன்னுடைய சிறைவாசத்தின் போது 1921 ஆம் ஆண்டில் எழுதிய நாட்குறிப்பிலிருந்து , ஒரு பகுதியின் தமிழாக்கம் கீழே தரப்படுகிறது.

""நாம் ஒருவிஷயத்தை நன்றாகத் தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். நாட்டுக்கு சுதந்திரம் வந்துவிட்டால், உடனேயே ஒரு சிறந்த அரசாங்கம் வந்துவிடாது. மக்களுக்கு அதிக மகிழ்ச்சி கிடைத்துவிடாது. நீண்டகாலத்துக்கு இவை கிடைக்காதென்றே நான் நினைக்கிறேன். தேர்தல்கள், அதையொட்டி ஊழல்கள், அநியாயங்கள், பணக்காரர்களின் பலம், ஆணவம், நிர்வாகத்தினரின் திறமையின்மை இவையெல்லாம் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து, நமக்குச் சுதந்திரம் கிடைத்தவுடன் நமது வாழ்க்கையை நரகமாக்கும்.

நீதி, திறமை, அமைதி, நேர்மையான நிர்வாகம் ஆகியவை, சுதந்திரத்துக்கு முன்னால் இருந்த அளவுக்கு இப்போது இல்லையே என்று பலர் எண்ணி வருந்தும் நிலை ஏற்படும். அகெüரவம், அடிமைத்தனம் ஆகியவற்றிலிருந்து நமது இனம் காப்பாற்றுவிட்டது என்பது ஒன்றுதான் நமக்குக் கிடைத்த லாபமாக இருக்கும்.

அனைவருக்கும் பொதுவான முறையில், ஒழுக்கம், தெய்வபக்தி, அன்பு இவற்றைக் குழந்தைப் பருவத்திலிருந்தே வளர்க்கக் கூடிய கல்வி ஒன்றுதான் நமது ஒரே நம்பிக்கை. இதில் வெற்றியடைந்தால்தான் நாட்டு சுதந்திரம் நமக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியைத் தரும். இல்லாவிடில் அது பணம் படைத்தோரின் அடக்குமுறைக்கும் அக்கிரமத்துக்கும்தான் நம்மை அழைத்துச் செல்லும்.

ஒவ்வொருவரும் நேர்மையானவராகவும், கடவுளுக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவராகவும், மற்றவரிடம் அன்பு காட்டுவதில் கிடைக்கும் ஆனந்தத்தை அனுபவப்பூர்வமாக அறிந்தவராகவும் இருந்தால், இந்த உலகம் எவ்வளவு அழகாக இருக்கும்.

ஆனால் ஒன்று. இந்த இலட்சியத்தை முழுமையாக நடைமுறைக்குக் கொண்டு வருவதானால், அதற்கு, வேறெந்த இடத்தையும் விட, இந்தியாவைத்தான் நம்ப வேண்டும்.''

நாடு சுதந்திரம் அடைவதற்கு 27 ஆண்டுகள் முன்னதாக இப்படி ஒரு கருத்தை அவரால் எப்படி எழுத முடிந்தது? என்பது நம்மை வியப்பில் ஆழ்த்துகிறது. இந்நாட்டு மக்களின் மனப்பான்மை, செயல்திறன் மற்றும் பலஹீனங்களையும் அவர் எவ்வளவு துல்லியமாகப் புரிந்து கொண்டிருந்தார் என்பது இதிலிருந்து விளங்குகிறது.

எது எப்படியிருப்பினும், நம்நாட்டு மக்களிடம் அவர் கொண்டிருந்த நம்பிக்கையை இறுதிவரி தெளிவாக்குகிறது. அவரது அச்சங்கள் முழுதும் உண்மை ஆகிவிட்ட நிலையில்தான் நாம் இன்று இருக்கிறோம். ஆனால் இறுதிவரிகளில் அவர் வெளியிட்டிருக்கும் நம்பிக்கையை உண்மையாக்குவது இக்காலத்து இளைஞர்கள் கையில்தான் இருக்கிறது.

ராஜாஜி தமது காலத்திற்கு மிகவும் அப்பாற்பட்டு, எதிர்காலத் தொலை நோக்குடன் சிந்தித்தார், செயலாற்றினார். உலகளாவிய சிந்தனை அவருடையது. இவ்வுலகே அவருக்கு சிறியதோர் கோளாகத் தோன்றியது எனலாம். நாடுகளின் எல்லைகளைக் கடந்து மனித இனத்தை முழுவதும் தழுவிய நிலையில் அவர் சிந்தித்தார்.

எழுபத்தைந்தாண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக, இந்நாடு முழுதும் தனது செல்வாக்கை நிலைநிறுத்திய மாமனிதராக அவர் விளங்கினார். எதிர்காலச் சந்ததியினருக்கு ஒரு படிப்பினை மட்டுமல்ல, அவரது வாழ்க்கை வரலாறு. அது நாட்டு மக்களை நன்னெறியில் செயலாற்றுவதற்கு ஊக்கந்தரும் உண்மை நிகழ்ச்சிகளின் தொகுப்பும் கூட.

"வருங்கால இந்தியா வளமான இந்தியாவாக வளர வேண்டுமென்றால், மக்கள் மனதில் பதிய வேண்டிய மாமனிதரின் வரலாறாக ராஜாஜியின் வரலாறு இருக்கிறது'

This all month, it was all seen in Pakistan and it was centre staged, because of its political imbalance, we have also seen Nawaas Sharif coming from Saudi Arabia, to save his people and undo the military rule in Pakistan, Imran Khan also gave his political stunt when he was away from the country. Many of my Pakistani friends are upset with the fact that things are at pause because of emergency.

More than a week after the emergency rule in Pakistan, finally the 911 (American) call got connected to rescue Pakistan. Now, Parvez Musharraf will be cutting down his Uniform and will become try to become a full time president of the country, This year have been so bad for him, He should be voted as the worst Dictator of the world.

He declared a state of emergency in Pakistan, and now the Fundamental Right of a citizen will be suspended because of emergency,T.V channels and mobile signal are being jammed.

the Pakistan Army has taken control of Supreme Court, media persons are being arrested and beaten up.

US ans Uk now playing their parts respectively. putting a pressure to undo the Emergency.

Is Emergency the solution of solving the problems or correcting political errors?

One of the many awesome experiences in the process of putting together the ill-fated Dil se Dil Independence Day Friendship Celebration was the chance to work with the brilliant Mumbai filmmakers Shivraj Shantakumar and Aparna Wilder, whose award winning film company Wild Kumar makes music videos and television commercials, and whose side project Global Rickshaw does shorts for the NGO community. We were looking for 90 seconds of fun to introduce Friends Without Borders to the television audience at Dil se Dil.

Upon receiving a threat of mass violence perceived by the Indian Intelligence Bureau to be specific, credible, and beyond the ability of the government to provide adequate security the Dil se Dil Independence Day Friendship Celebration has been postponed indefinitely. There is no way for it to occur, as planned, on the night of 14-15 August.

As you can imagine, the Friends Without Borders team, Routes 2 Roots, and our production partners are all stunned and deeply saddened by the postponement of Dil se Dil, and particularly in the horrific way in which this was forced upon us. The spirit of strength and hope persists, however, as perfectly captured in this note from one of our wonderful volunteers, who goes by the ironic moniker "Devil":

You Know, I was quite depressed for a couple of days after hearing the news of cancellation of the concert. But then I thought "we have actually had a victory of sorts". We ( all of us who worked, prayed and supported the concert) managed to make this event a serious threat to the forces of violence. So much so that they had to resort to active threats!!! They're not all that secure in their skins and this event, by going about its business and garnering the kind of response it did, was a MAJOR THREAT TO THEIR IDENTITY.

Long live the forces of peace!

We are already hard at work trying to develop a Plan-B, which will help to unleash "the forces of peace" which Devil exalts. Unfortunately, the postponement came too late for us to be able to salvage the Independence Day date. Stay tuned.

For India and Pakistan, the 60th anniversary of independence draws near. For Indians and Pakistanis, the first-ever joint celebration is also at hand.

As those of you who read this space know, the night of 14-15 August will witness Midnights Grandchildren coming together at an historic friendship concert held on one of the world's most heavily militarized borders.

The media circus in advance of the event has begun, kicked off with today's frontpage feature in the Bombay Times.

The Dil se Dill Independence Day Friendship Concert received a wonderful boost this week when the United Nations Millennium Campaign joined Friends Without Borders and Routes 2 Roots as a partner for producing the event.

We are tremendously excited to have the United Nations as a partner, both for the credibility it give to our initiative and because it give us an opportunity to help build public awareness for the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

The United Nations has set a target of 2015 for achieving the eight MDGs:

* Goal 1: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
* Goal 2: Achieve universal primary education
* Goal 3: Promote gender equality and empower women
* Goal 4: Reduce child mortality
* Goal 5: Improve maternal health
* Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
* Goal 7: Ensure environmental sustainability
* Goal 8: Develop a Global Partnership for Development

July 2007 marks the half-way point to 2015, and the objective of the UNMC is to support the people of the world in holding their governments responsible for meeting the MDGs on schedule. We hope that the Dil se Dil Independence Day Friendship Celebration will bring greater awareness of the MDGs throughout South Asia.

Sixty years and three generations after Independence, Indians and Pakistanis have never jointly celebrated the seminal political event that gave birth to both nations. This year, all that will change.

On the night of August 14th and into the early hours of August 15th, preeminent musicians and celebrity Masters of Ceremonies will come together across the India-Pakistan border to lead the youth of both countries into a new era of friendship and cultural interaction: Dil se Dil: Independence Day Friendship Celebration.

The Friends Without Borders Team has been working tirelessly on this idea for more than two months. I have been reluctant to write about it until our plans came together to a point where we were in striking distance of making the vision a reality. (You may recall my post, Secret Agents (of Peace), where I dropped the hint that something big was afoot. Check out the video we made at that time in support of the hellish minefield of the permissions process.) That time is now!

Without getting ahead of ourselves, here are a few more details about the event.

Though this commemoration will entail a single, unifying concert event, the performances will originate from twin stages, one in India and one in Pakistan, on either side of the Attari/Wagah Border). Live performances will alternate from one stage to the other, visible to the entire live audience, no matter on which side of the border they are sitting.

This two-stage-one-concert approach, with its innovative utilization of advanced telecommunications, sound engineering, and broadcast technology is as symbolic as it is practical. It represents the younger generation doing exactly what they do best: harnessing technology to create community and to overcome distance, physical barriers, and outmoded thinking.

Dil se Dil is a celebration of the past, acknowledging shared history while recognizing that these two great countries are pursuing separate national destinies. It is a celebration of the present, displaying our common humanity. (We dance to the same songs!) It is a celebration of the future, demonstrating that mutual dreams of more peaceful, open, collaborative relations are indeed close at hand.

This historic event will be televised live by major networks in both countries. It will commence at 11:00 pm (IST) and conclude at 12:30 am (IST), thereby spanning the midnight hour in both time zones.

Watch this space for a series of announcements over the next several weeks, as we add partners, musicians, and other on-stage talent to our roster.

Midnight’s Grandchildren rock!

The miniature of an old musician: this miniature shows a musician in a somber mood. It shows a Balochi figure (from Balochistan province of Pakistan) holding a musical instrument. it is a realistic modern miniature. I have tried to depict Balochi cultural side in Pakistan. Old man is holding an instrument called Surando.The name of instrument, Surando is based on " Surayindah" a Persian word for one who produced.It was used by their natives and is still practiced. The "Shawl" is an another object added to render the typical dressing of Balochi people.

Next is a single figured composition. Representing a Mughal princess, special place and care is given to the jewelry and the dressing. Behind the figure is a typical mughal landscape with minute details, it is painted according to the traditional mughal style. Sharp and contrasting colours are prefered to make it more
eye catching .i.e. black,yellow,green and orange are most prominent of all.

The flow of calls and emails has already begun in the wake of the bombing of the Samjhauta Express, the train which runs between Delhi and Lahore. Everyone should know that we are still stuck in Delhi, awaiting our visas, and will probably not be leaving for Lahore for a few more days. (I guess we have some reason to be thankful for the classic inefficiency of the Pakistan High Commission and Interior Ministry, where our visa applications have been moldering.) We appreciate the expressions of concern for our well-being.

So, it looks like we'll be walking across the border rather than traveling by train.

The reactions to this heinous bombing among the Friends Without Borders travel squad has been nearly uniform. One of us said immediately, "This changes everything." The rest of us agreed that it changed nothing, except perhaps how we would be traveling now that the train service has been disrupted.

One thing that might change are our dinner plans for tomorrow evening. We had been fortunate to be invited to a small dinner party for Kharshid Kasuri, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, and Pranab Mukherjee, the Indian Minister of External Affairs , to discuss our latest project. We are hopeful that the meeting will still take place, but understand that both men have their hands full at the moment. The need is all-the-more urgent in the aftermath of the Samjhauta Express terror.

Windows open and windows close on peace initiatives, quite beyond the control of the would-be peace-makers. We were fortunate to commence Friends Without Borders as a joyful window was opening, last year's tour of the Indian national cricket team in Pakistan. Now the project continues as windows may shut against the chill-air of horrific violence. Our project has demonstrated that the overwhelming majority of people in both countries yearn for a friendly, supportive, peaceful future, even as India and Pakistan pursue their separate destinies. And we will continue our work toward that hopeful vision, no matter the emotional climate.

Dozens dead in India train blasts

The fire engulfed two carriages on the Samjhauta Express
A fire sparked by explosions has swept through two carriages of a train bound from India to Pakistan, killing at least 65 people on board.
Passengers said they heard two blasts as the train passed near Panipat, about 80km (50 miles) north of Delhi.

The train - the Samjhauta Express -is part of a service taking passengers from Delhi to Lahore in Pakistan.

Pakistan demanded that India act to catch those responsible for what both governments said was a terrorist act.

The blasts happened a day before Pakistan's Foreign Minister was due in Delhi for talks with Indian leaders.

The minister, Khurshid Kasuri, said the explosion was a "horrendous act of terrorism" but it would not change his plans to visit India from 20 to 23 February.

Innocent men and women had been killed, he said, a sentiment echoed by Indian Railways Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav who told a news conference that the blast were aimed at undermining relations between the two countries.

"It is an effort to destabilise peace between India, Pakistan. Innocent people have been killed."

Islamabad said most of the dead were Pakistanis and foreign ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam demanded India investigate the incident immediately.

"We expect Indian authorities to punish the perpetrators," she said, stressing that it was India's responsibility to ensure proper security for the twice-weekly service which runs from the Indian capital to Lahore in Pakistan.

After a two-year gap, the service was restarted in 2004 as part of the peace process between the two countries.

'Loud explosion'

A couple of small blasts took place in two carriages at about midnight (1830 GMT), as the train reached a station in the village of Deewana.

The train came to a standstill and a ball of fire then engulfed the two coaches.

The injured were pulled out of the burning carriages onto the trackside by fellow passengers, and local residents rushed to the tracks to help.

"I heard a loud explosion and then it was all smoke," passenger Tara Chand was quoted by Reuters news agency as saying.

"Looking at the intensity of the smoke, many people must have suffocated to death before being charred."

Security precautions on the train meant many doors were bolted shut and most windows had bars covering them which may have trapped some passengers inside.

The BBC's Soutik Biswas, reporting from the scene, said the heat of the flames had peeled the blue paint off the coaches, and oil and burnt cinders covered the tracks.

He went into one of the carriages and saw boxes of food and spices that many of the passengers would have been taking as gifts to friends and relatives in Pakistan.

Shiv Ram, a police railway constable, was one of the first officials on the scene.

"In 30 years of service I haven't seen anything like this," he told our correspondent.

"The coaches were totally engulfed in flames. I brought out three charred women - I could only recognise them as women because they were wearing bangles".

Police said they had recovered two suitcases filled with crude homemade explosives.

'Anguish and grief'

The burnt-out carriages have been moved away from the scene of the fire to a railway siding a couple of kilometres away for forensic examination.

The train carried more than 500 passengers, a mix of Indians and Pakistanis - but most of the victims are believed to have been Pakistanis.

Most of the bodies were charred beyond recognition and the mortuary at the local hospital in Panipat is overflowing.

Mohammad Saif, who lives in Delhi, has been to the site and the hospital in search of his aunt and niece, who been visiting him from Pakistan.

"I saw them off at the Delhi railway station last night about 9pm. There was no security, no checking, nothing at the station. I've been looking for them, can't trace them," he told the BBC.

Also in search of news, anxious families rushed to the main railway station in Delhi where there was a handwritten list of some of the people known to have been injured.

The Indian High Commission in Islamabad said arrangements were being made to process visas immediately for Pakistanis who had relatives on the train and wished to go to India, Reuters reported.

I am pleased to report that the 2007 incarnation of the Friends Without Borders travel squad has assembled and is raring to go. This year’s team includes John Siliphant, Yoo-Mi, Rahul Brown, Mona Panchal, Sachi Maniar, and me.

We are currently in Delhi awaiting word from the High Commission of Pakistan that Islamabad has cleared our visa requests. We hope to be soon on our way to Pakistan to deliver tens of thousands of friendship letters from Indian kids, to get letters to bring back to India, and to enroll schools for ongoing school-to-school relationships.

In the meanwhile we are using the time to attend meeting-after-meeting on our latest project: an event so enormous, so paradigm-shifting, so damn cool that I am not yet authorized to breathe word of it. To you, that is. Yesterday, though, we had a chance to focus-group the concept with our number-one constituency, kids, at an event in Delhi’s National Stadium.

What did they think? That our idea rocks! (Oops, have I given away too much?)

As you can see from these photos, many of the kids were so turned-on by our plans that they took pen in hand to share their enthusiasm with the Prime Minister. (Once again, our job is to play postmen.) We already know that the PM loves our project; he told the world so last year. The only question this year is: will he rock with us?

It's a little awkward to get a byline on a story about one's own project, but Friends Without Borders was asked by Asia Magazine to submit an article and we obliged. I wote the text and Maria Durana took and processed the photos. The article, which will span six-pages in "centerfold" format, to appear in the magazine's March edition.

The period of Emperor Jahangir (1605-1627 A.D.) marked a notable change in the tone and temper of Mvghal miniatures. The paintings evinced a sense of delicacy, a subdued colour scheme and a fascination for portraying animals and birds of rare types. Of the paintings of this period in this section, mention may be made of the painting entitled 'The Hermitage of Shaikh Phool by Bishandas presented in the gallery.

The paintings in the period of Shah Jahan (1628-1658 A.D.) evince the pomp and grandeur of Mughal court. The Museum has a number of notable paintings of this period. These include the portrait of Shah-Jahan, The Treaty of Quandahar, Shah Jahan in Court (displayed) Lady Painter in Zenana (displayed) Bharatiya Sundari (displayed) Mughal damsel, etc. Of these paintings some are historically important while others are artistically pleasing.

Nowadays in hundreds of arts institutions miniature is practiced by the students. This phenomenon could also be observed at art galleries and we can see many artisans in the past and even today working in this field in several countries. People do it some times because they are interested in it few for commercial reasons and also some people consider it as a original practice of art. This miniature showing two figures are representing mughal art characteristics to some extent. Holding objects mostly which were present in the periods of mughal dynasty. Colors are also mughal in nature. Bright and fresh . One lady is shown with a bowl in her hand and other one next to her with a glowing flame in her hand. The original procedure of painting a mughal miniature is a bit different from the respective miniature . Because in mughal miniatures designs and motives are painted with a complete perfection. It seems as if it is printed or it is machine made not hand made. But the recent painting is painted in an abstract manner.

Designs though belongs to the miniature motives but are uneven and deformed. They are abstract. So in other words it is called “Modern” miniature. Which is highly appreciated and favored by the art lovers today. The jewelry , dressing with the ornamentation,figures and the features depicts the typical mughal style.

உள் நாட்டில் ஏதாவது பிரச்சினை ஏற்பட்டுவிட்டால் மக்களின் கவனத்தைத் திசை திருப்ப புதுப்புது உத்திகளைக் கையாள்வது சில நாடுகளின் வழக்கமாக உள்ளது. இந்திய எல்லையில் பாகிஸ்தான் துருப்புகளின் நடமாட்டம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது என்ற தகவல் இதைத்தான் உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறது.

பாகிஸ்தானில் பலுசிஸ்தான் பழங்குடி இனத் தலைவரும் காஷ்மீர் பிரச்சினையில் இந்தியாவின் நிலைக்குத் தொடர்ந்து ஆதரவு அளித்து வந்தவருமான அக்பர் பக்டி மர்மமான முறையில் கொல்லப்பட்டது உள்நாட்டில் பெரும் பிரச்சினையை ஏற்படுத்தி உள்ளது. மேலும் ஆப்கன் எல்லையில் தலிபான்கள் நெருக்கடி கொடுத்து வருகின்றனர். இந்த நிலையில்தான் கட்டுப்பாட்டு எல்லைக் கோட்டை ஒட்டியுள்ள பகுதிகளில் துருப்புகள் நடமாட்டம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.

குறிப்பாக பாகிஸ்தான் ஆக்கிரமிப்பில் உள்ள காஷ்மீரில் சகோடி பகுதியில், அதாவது இந்தியாவின் காஷ்மீர் பகுதியில் உள்ள நெüஷா நகரை ஒட்டியுள்ள எல்லையில் கணிசமாகத் துருப்புகள் நடமாட்டம் காணப்படுகிறது. இதை ராணுவ அதிகாரிகளும் உறுதிப்படுத்தி உள்ளனர். ஆனால் இதற்கு அதிக முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்க வேண்டியதில்லை என்றும் பதிலடியாக நமது துருப்புகளின் எண்ணிக்கையை அதிகரிக்கும் எண்ணம் இல்லை என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர்.

ஏற்கெனவே 2 முக்கிய போர்களிலும், கார்கில் பகுதியில் ஊடுருவியபோதும் கிடைத்த அனுபவத்தை பாகிஸ்தான் அவ்வளவு எளிதில் மறந்திருக்க முடியாது. எனவே தாக்குதல் திட்டம் இல்லையென்றாலும் வழக்கம்போல் காஷ்மீரில் குழப்பம் ஏற்படுத்தி அடுத்த ஆண்டு நடைபெறவுள்ள தேர்தலில் மக்களிடையே தமக்கு அனுதாபத்தைத் தேட முஷாரப் முற்படலாம் என்று கணிக்கப்படுகிறது.

இந் நிலையில் விரைவில் கியூபாவில் நடைபெறவுள்ள அணி சாரா நாடுகளின் தலைவர்கள் கூட்டத்துக்குச் செல்லும் பிரதமர் மன்மோகன் சிங் அங்கு வரும் பாகிஸ்தான் அதிபர் முஷாரபைச் சந்தித்துப் பேசத் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளார். பயங்கரவாதிகள் ஊடுருவல் பிரச்சினையை அவர் அப்போது எழுப்பக்கூடும். இது தொடர்பாகப் பிரதமரைச் சந்தித்த இடதுசாரித் தலைவர்கள், பாகிஸ்தானிலிருந்து மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் பயங்கரவாதச் செயல்களைக் கட்டுப்படுத்த முயற்சிகள் மேற்கொள்ளுமாறு அதிபர் முஷாரபிடம் வலியுறுத்துமாறு கேட்டுக்கொண்டனர்.

இரு நாடுகளின் வெளியுறவுச் செயலர்கள் இடையே ஜூலையில் நடைபெறுவதாக இருந்த பேச்சுவார்த்தை மும்பை ரயில் குண்டுவெடிப்புச் சம்பவத்தை அடுத்து நின்றுபோனது. அதை மீண்டும் தொடங்கி, அதையே இருதரப்புப் பேச்சுவார்த்தைக்கான அடிப்படையாக வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம் என்றும் பிரதமரிடம் யோசனை கூறியுள்ளனர்.

மும்பைச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பாகக் கைது செய்யப்பட்ட தீவிரவாதி ஒருவரிடம் மேற்கொண்ட விசாரணையில், தாம் பாகிஸ்தான் ராணுவத்தில் முக்கியப் பொறுப்பில் இருந்து விலகி, பயங்கரவாத நடவடிக்கைகளுக்காகப் பாகிஸ்தானில் பயிற்சி பெற்று இந்தியாவுக்கு வந்ததாகத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இந்த நிலையில் பாகிஸ்தானில் பயங்கரவாதிகளுக்கான பயிற்சி முகாம் உள்ளதா என்பது குறித்து தமக்கு எதுவும் தெரியாது என்று முஷாரப் தொடர்ந்து கூறி வருவது ஏற்புடையதாக இல்லை.

பாகிஸ்தானுடன் உறவுகளை வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள பஸ், ரயில் போக்குவரத்துகள் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு நல்லெண்ண முயற்சிகளை இந்தியா மேற்கொண்டும், அற்பக் காரணங்களைக் கூறி இந்தியத் தூதரக அதிகாரியை வெளியேற்றியது பாகிஸ்தான். இத்தகைய நடவடிக்கைகள்தான் நல்லுறவுக்குத் தடையாக இருப்பவை என்பதை உணர்ந்து ஆக்கபூர்வ பேச்சுவார்த்தைக்கு முஷாரப் முன்னுரிமை அளிக்க வேண்டும்.
