Kommentar von Alex "30+" Cee: Der interessierte CeeNeast des eingehenden 21. Jahrhunderts weiß natürlich, dass Verfilmungen von Computerspielen immer mit Vorsicht zu genießen sind. Als mahnendes Beispiel auf dem Friedhof der guten Unterhaltung liegt - für alle Unvergessen - Lara Croft, auch bekannt als weiblicher Indiana Jones mit zwei prallen Tüten, wahlweise gefüllt mit heißer Luft oder dem schwarzen Loch der Langeweile.

Auch Hitman - Jeder Stirbt Alleine bringt alle Grundvoraussetzungen mit, um Actionfans mit einem Gähnen aus der Filmvorführung zu entlassen. Statt des smarten Vin Diesel mimt Timothy Olyphant den Profikiller 47 und stellt unter Beweiß, dann man(n) selbst mit offensichtlicher Gesichtsmuskellähmung eine Hauptrolle in einem gehobenen Mittelklasse-Hollywood-Popkorn-Streifen ergattern kann. Auch die für Action-Verhältnisse eher bescheidene Story des Films entstammt wohl aus dem Aldi-Drehbuchautomaten und von den vielen kleinen, offensichtlichen Logikfehlern wollen wir mal garnicht sprechen.

Dennoch - und das sei nicht verschwiegen - entfaltet Hitman einen gewissen Reiz, der nicht nur an der fantastischen Figur von Olga Kurylenko liegt, die zur Freude des männlichen Publikums entweder spärlich oder gleich garnicht bekleidet durch das Bild hüpft. Der Film verfügt über erstaunlich wenig Längen und hält den Zuschauer mit zahlreichen Schießereien und Actionszenen bei der Stange. Hierbei kommt nun die Schmalspurstory positiv zum tragen, denn anstatt das Tempo mit überflüssigen Nebenplots wie einer Liebesgeschichte zu drosseln, betäubt 47 seinen attraktiven Sidekick Nika Boronina kurzerhand, sobald sie zuviel sabbelt oder sexuelle Handlungen einfordert. Großartig! :)

Insgesamt die wohl beste filmische Umsetzung eines Computerspiels seit dem unerreichten Silent Hill, doch das hat bei so dadaistischen Vorgängern wie die Super Mario Bros. nicht viel zu bedeuten. 6,5 von 10 Punkten

Verspäteter Einspruch des Frankster: 6,5 Punkte? Mickrige 6,5 Punkte für dieses Meisterk? Da muss Kollege Alex Cee wirklich auf einem verdammt schlechten Tripp gewesen sein - oder so betrunken, dass er versehentlich Xavier Gens Meisterwerk "Hitman - Jeder Stirbt alleine" mit dem schlechten Actionstreifen "Enter the Hitman" aus dem Jahr 1998 mit Chuck Norris verwechselt hat. Obwohl: Man müsste schon ganz schön high sein, um letztgenanntem Schundwerk 6,5 Punkte zu verpassen.

Woran liegt es also, dass mein CeeNema-Kollege diesem Hitman statt den mindestens berechtigten 8 von 10 Punkten nur dieses Armutszeugnis bescheinigte? Auf meine Nachfrage war das offizielle Statement "Ich habe ihn mir nochmal angeschaut", gefolgt von irgendwelchen Dingen wie "schlechte Mimik von Agent 47" etc. An dieser Aussage zeigt sich vielleicht auch, dass Herr Cee mit der Computerspielreihe niemals vertraut war oder die Hintergrundgeschichte des von Timothy Olyphant gespielten Agenten auch beim nochmaligen Schauen dieses Meisterwerks einfach nicht verstanden hat. Zur Erklärung von Wikipedia: Im Film sind die Agenten Waisenkinder, im Spiel allerdings sind es Klone, was unter anderem die Strichcodes auf den Hinterköpfen erklärt. Hinzu kommt, dass es sich in den ersten beiden Teilen von Hitman (Spiel) darum dreht, seine Identität zu klären und er sich, mehr oder weniger, mit seinem „Schöpfer“ auseinandersetzen muss. Bleibt die Gewißheit, dass Kollege Cee diesem guten Film wahrscheinlich eine gerechte Punktevergabe verpasst hätte, wenn (wie zuerst geplant) Actionstar Vin Diesel die Hauptrolle übernommen hätte. Also nochmal fürs Protokol: Absolut verdiente 8,5 von 10 Punkten

There aren't very many good things I can say about movies based on video games (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Hitman, Doom.) Doom was at least a vehicle for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as was the Tomb Raider couplet for Angelina Jolie a while back. Now we have a video game flick written by Emmy award winning writer of "The Shield" Shawn Ryan, starring Academy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg (Angelina had already won an Oscar by the time she did the first Tomb Raider movie in 2001 - in your FACE Marky-Mark.) So does that make this the next really big deal in video game films? (do I need to ask?) Will there be a U2 video accompanying Max Payne's debut? We can only hope so.

Oh, and in case you were wondering about the director, John Moore, is the guy who did Behind Enemy Lines and Flight of the Phoenix.

And also the guy who made the remake of The Omen. :(

Une petite ode à ce que j’appelle les films du dimanche.

Beaucoup d’entre nous ne les citent qu’à voix basse. Quand on nous en parle, on feinte de ne pas les avoir vu où alors, un jour entre deux émissions culturelles, mais on précise qu’on ne se souvient plus ni de la fin, ni de l’intrigue.
Mais pourtant, ils sont là, ils existent.
Ne sachant pas comment en parler, j’ai créé une catégorie personnelle que j’ai nommée « Les films du dimanche ». Dans cette catégorie, on peut y trouver en autres « The Patriot », « Braveheart », « L’arme fatale », « Hitman ». Ou encore, les films du Maître que j’ai nommé Jean-Claude Van Damme. Tous sont des films à gros budget, mais au vu du résultat, on se doute que le budget a servi à autre chose qu’à l’achat d’un scénario.
Avant qu’on me fustige de critiques, de remarques désobligeantes et agressives, sachez que j’ai vu ses films et que tous, à quelques exceptions près, figurent dans ma vidéothèque.
J’adore ces films où l’on peut se dire au générique du début que l’on va pouvoir se vider la tête, qu’on n’aura pas à réfléchir pendant 1 h 30, voire 2 H pour les plus longs.
Regarder sans cesse des films d’auteur austro-hongrois n’a rien de méritant. Pour moi, c’est du snobisme. C’est du faire-valoir. Il est évidant que vous aurez plus la côte, lors d’une soirée intellectuelle, en vous poilant sur les petites blagues du dernier film d'Eran Kolirin, « La visite de la fanfare », que sur la répartie, ô combien fade, de JC dans Bloodsport. Mais tout le monde sait autour de vous que vous avez vu le dernier.
Nous avons besoin de ces films pour nous reposer la tête, pour nous dire qu’on n’est pas si bête que ça (quand on voit parfois les sommes dépenser pour un résultat médiocre). C’est films sont là pour ça.
Voilà, j’espère n’avoir choqué personne dans mes propos. Et encore une fois : « Vive les films pourris que l’on regarde le dimanche soir ».

Nope it isn't. It's a Persona 4 post. Basically, the OP is awesome.

I haven't even finished 3 yet, which in reality is 4 but we call it 3 anyway, and I wanna buy it and play it.

Anyways, in terms of anime. A friend and I are rewatching Gurren Lagann as you saw by my earlier post. Tonight we're watching the Rossiu arc, I won't give spoilers for those who haven't watched it, but... -shakes head- I won't.

In terms of manga, Katekyo Hitman Reborn! is getting better and better. And thats all I'll say about the matter.

Anyway, What are your thoughts on the matter?

Just finished watching Hitman, one of the movie dowload we did at the (ex) office. And now, I will talk about it.

Like I said, mi wife and I just finished watching Hitman, that bald guy who is good with guns... and frankly, I have to watch it again? Why? Is it that good? Well, yeah.. sure, the movie is good.. that Timothy Olyphan is so suave and smooth, I want to be just like him.

So yeah, sure I'm going to watch it again because it's good... but mainly because there are some things I didn't get from the movie. :)

Usually, I post movie trailer from Utube or offer a dowload link, or some unforgettable movie qoutes, but since it's late and I'm sleepy, I may have to refer to the IMDB and Yutube.

Search for it.. and of course you can tell me what you think of the movie.

In what was described as the worst violence in a US city, making Al Capone's 1930's Chicago look like a "Church Sunday Picnic", July 11 marks the 29 year anniversary of the Miami "Dadeland Massacre." The massacre was the flash point and resulted in the beginning of what was later labeled "The War on Drugs" by then president Ronald Regan.

Miami became the most dangerous place to live in becoming the "Drug Capital of the world" with 100,000 persons involved in the drug trade. Drug lords killed each other fighting for their turf as they killed their opponents to control their territories.

July 11, 1979 2:28pm

Three Mac 10 machine pistol toting "hitters" opened fire on their targets, two rival cocaine dealers shopping at Crown Liquor store, killing the rivals and spraying over 100 .45 and 9. millimeters rounds. The shooters continued to spray the parking lot as they exited the store in a scene homicide detective Al Singleton described as "Dodge City" and "the first public shot in the cocaine wars."

Griselda Blanco aka the "Godmother of cocaine" and more notoriously "the black widow" ordered the hits and was responsible for a chain of events which developed into the "Cocaine Wars" fought by the "Kings of Cocaine" ( see the book for reference) Miami's version of hell on earth

Mexican police are investigating a number of classified ads on the internet which purport to be from hitmen offering the services.

The ads can be found alongside ones for private tuition or domestic help.

Hired killers are a problem across a country which has seen at least 1,400 killings this year.

Most of the killings are related to drug cartels battling for control of the illegal drugs trade to the US.

The dead include dealers dealers and gunmen as well as more than 400 police officers and other public officials, this year. Some 25,000 troops are now deployed around Mexico to try to break the cartels.

Not that the 25,000 troops are having a whole boatload of success, yet.

So far, I don't know if my natural cynicism trumps hope that a government in Mexico with some guts might actually prevail? Or if traditional corruption beats out both?

I'm currently addicted to the anime Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn. If you're familiar with the show, you'll notice that Reborn always wear some kind of weird outfits that fits the situation. I find him so cute and so I've wasted a few days of my summer vacation to screen shot them. Here are my top 3 favourites:-
