ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning.

It is a computer software solution that addresses the enterprise needs by taking into view all process and transactions taking place an organization to meet the organization goals. It integrates all the functions of an enterprise. ERP solutions integrate (or attempt to integrate) all data and processes of an organization into a unified system. A typical ERP System will use multiple components of computer software and hardware to achieve the desired integration. A key ingredient of most ERP systems is the use of a unified database to store data for the various system modules and end-users. ERPs are cross-functional and enterprise wide. All functional departments that are involved in  operations or production are integrated in one system.

I have passed BE (Mining Engineerg) in the year 1985 from Pt. Ravi Shankar University, Raipur (CG) India, and  Post Graduated in Business Administration in Marketing Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi in the year 2003.

Experience

Since October 1985, I an employed at Malanjkhand Copper Project of M/S Hindustan Copper Limited ( A Public Sector Company). I had joined as a Graduate Engineering Trainee (Mining) and have rosen to the rank of Chief Manager (Mines) in my carrer graph.

During the span of over 22 years with Malanjkhand Copper Project of Hindustan Copper Limited, I have got the opportunity to gain experience in almost all spheres of Open Pit Mining. Also I am having the rare privilege of heading the Blasting Section for over a decade. I am having the experience of Blasting in the hard granite and quartz rock at Malanjkhand Copper Mine (Largest and Deepest) base metal mine in the country) and have executed over 10,000 blasts in the past decade.

Further, I am well equipped with the usage of packaged explosives, bulk delivered explosives (Site Slurry and Site Mixed Emulsion) Non Electronic Bottom Initiation Systems (Nonel) etc. Also, I have masted Pre-Split Blasting, a controlled Blasting technique, for maintaing Stability of the final Pit walls and Slopes in deep open pit Mine.

The colorful festival of Holi is celebrated on Phalgun Purnima which comes in February end or early March. Holi festival has an ancient origin and celebrates the triumph of 'good' over 'bad'. The colorful festival bridges the social gap and renew sweet relationships. On this day, people hug and wish each other 'Happy Holi'.
The spirit of Holi, say historians, are essentially colours. Scriptures say Lord Krishna played Holi with colours made from 'tesoo' flowers.

People in many parts of India will be going all out in a daylong burst of revelry, playing with colours, dancing, feasting and following it up with family get-togethers, prayers and cultural soirees in the evening.

THE ROLE OF ERGONOMICS IN MAN, MACHINE AND ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

Throughout history man has used his brain to make-work easier and more effective, to make life better and more satisfying. He has been developing and applying new tools as well as new ways of human cooperation and social organization complementary to these new tools. A well-established applied science from the last 50 years devoted to maximizing human performance without causing injuries or detrimentally affecting performance, called ERGONOMICS. It will help to solve a bit of the whole problem and it is a benefit for companies not a cost. If optimum safety and system effectiveness are to be achieve in the design of future systems, the role of Ergonomics will become more and more significant as system become more and more complex and automated. This paper covers the need of ergonomic design equipment for the modern-day heavily mechanized and automated industries in aspect of safety norms.

INTRODUCTION

Ergonomics is a technology for designing machine to guard from the obvious hazards and optimizing system performance. It is, however, a scientific approach to solve problems of designing and constructing things, which people are expected to use in the job, so the user will be more efficient and less likely to make errors resulting in accidents. The Design of machine for safety in the job and in the environment is a major goal of ergonomics.

WHAT IS ERGONOMICS?

The word ergonomics is derived from two Greek words – Ergon and Nomes, which together mean “Laws of Work”. Ergonomics is the study of workers characteristics for the appropriate design of their tools and work environment. Ergonomics is about the fit between people, their work activities, equipment, work systems, and environment to ensure that workplaces are safe, comfortable, efficient, and that productivity is not compromised

Drop Raising in Mining

In India at the Copper Mines of Khetri Copper Complex. This is a method of making a raise connection between two adjacent levels, nearly 60 m apart, by drilling large dia. holes(150 – 165 mm) through, from upper level to lower level and balsting them in stages. The raise is usually vertical but many also be steeply inclined. The charging and blasting of the holes is based on the recently devised method of Vertical Crater Retreat.

In the use of copper goes back to antiquity. Evidence of Copper mining and smelting in ancient Rajastan, Andhra Pradesh ad in West Himalayan Region in Kullu and Garhwal, and excavations at Mohenjodaro and Harappa have established that its uses included implements of war, objects d’art, ornaments and coinage. Indian craftsmanship in brass and broze is world-famous. Tanjore bronze, brass plaques, engraved brass sheets and broze bells are priaed both at home and abroad. The variety of the copper and bronze decoratives are found in many temples never fail to evoke our admiration. Extent of the Ore Deposits Most of the Indian ore deposits have a copper content of less than 2%. The deposits are confined largely to Singbhum in Jarkhand, Khetri in Rajastan, Malanjkhand in Madhya Pradesh followed by Chiradurga in Karnataka and Agnigundala in Andhra Pradesh.
