I have lived around Africanized "killer" bees for over a decade. I grow many flowers and have many flowering trees which are often filled with the now ubiquitous Africanized bees. I was stung by one for the first time just the other day, at night. It seems I have become more sensitive to bee, hornet and wasp stings through time.

The once dreaded invasion of Africanized killer bees was not the disaster it was built up to be. They are slightly smaller and darker than regular old honeybees, and pollinate many more things. They are a wee bit more defensive, so when surrounded by them, one generally needs to be a little more cautious. They are mostly a greater threat if you are fairly close to their hive, or someone within a half mile has been perceived to be a threat. Being close to these bees hive is farther away than than being close European honeybees. Unless, as I was living on a farm with honeybee hives, they happen to tune into your number for some reason. Then they are equally aggressive quite far away from center. Eventually this post will be closer to becoming a philosophical piece which should not sting you or cause an allergic reaction, unless you are primed for one.

You, me and US.

The individual and the hive are sown together via the queen bee. It is a curious paradox of the individual initiative, under the queens umbrella will. The bee that stung me was (I believe) hit by a ceiling fan down onto me. It then was cast into a defensive mode and could not help but sting me.

I am not like some people when it comes to the why. When some things happen you may hear; "Everything happens for a reason!" However, the reason implied is often vague; perhaps suggesting a divine reason such as a moral values lesson. It is notable the lack of definition that usually follows this statement in my experience.

But straight forward cause and effect? I'm for that one. It does not necessarily exclude the former, but an available rational answer is often at hand. The 'it happened for a reason' crowd, often seems to be hinting at their philosophical or religious world view. They personally know this "reason" truth, while your ambiguity or questioning is seen as being lost or ungrounded. It is kinda like saying; Well the sun is overhead at noon, you who knows not cause and effect. What would be the issue or the lesson of a fact based inherently redundant expression otherwise? Anyway.

Minding the Matter

We know the human mind does influence matter by the actions we take. We also know fairly certainly, that ones attitude effects outcomes as well. We need not necessarily jump into the metaphysical bus to come to this conclusion. Humans do tend to get the results they are looking for, perhaps not consciously, but in their basic assumptions or attitude of life. We can also interpret the world and events through our ideas of cause and effect and reach any number of conclusions, not scientific necessarily, but by the impression of our lens on life.

As a volunteer for restorative justice groups, I get to experience some peoples attitudes towards life that seem to be beyond their awareness. (I suggest we all have some unawareness of our motivations at times). They do not consciously know why they do what they do, nor that they could behave differently, merely by becoming aware of their own biases in perception, then choosing to be different. I also observe these tendencies in my own life, and believe that the vast majority of us do not always know why we do what we do, but we might think; It is what I always do. Or. That's the way I am. Implying I am unchangeable. Indeed, some even think to question oneself is a basic sign of weakness, rather than strength.

We are set up in more ways than one to both, serve others interest unknowingly, as well as work against our own deeper interest, simply because of our own self ignorance and the patterns of action-reaction we have learned. Likely these were modeled by someone influential and not just invented. This introduces an obvious problematic scheme into the relationship equation; we tend to believe we are more honest overall, than many others we come to know. And conversely, we may feel ourselves lacking compared to others in some ways, even envying, resenting or feeling in ways intimidated by those who seem to "have it more together". Many guru's represent this sort of yearning for advancement, seekers of knowing Life and Being may have. Overall, religions are constructed to seem to poses such a knowingness.

With our friends, we tend to ignore these seemingly apparent failings, or find them part of character traits, unless we have a falling out. Then in defense, we may find these once overlooked nuisances or interesting behavioral qualities, loom large as some form of deception, or serious personal failings. We can become quite good at analyzing the qualities of others, both positive and negative, yet have only vague notions of our own. I tend to have some awareness of my strengths and failings through time by results, but I may chose to value them differently depending on my mood.

Those invisible to us lenses.

I often hear people giving life a specific religious tag for the very same feeling and experiences I have. Their lens adjustment of interpretation is their belief in their brand of cause and effect. I tend to believe that there is much more than I know, for ostensibly spiritual "reasons", however, I do not require the specific "tag line" to quantify it. I hardly think we know all there is to know about life and being, and am not willing to sacrifice my acceptance of this likelihood of clear reception for conceptualized tag-frames that can actually color and distort my experience of life. In that sense, my religion, my belief system, is to avoid too many fingerprints of preconceptions religions or ideologies cast on my lens. This is a sacred thing to me, and not the lack of belief or faith in that which is greater. Those who have faith in and believe as I do may well be tagged with being non believers, agnostic or atheistic by the unknowing of the nature of this beliefs cause.

The vast majority of us have a default philosophy. It is usually relative to our upbringing; the kinds of ideas we learned and the kinds of culture we individually grow up in. This is a sort of unconscious guidance. We go to a church, or believe in a God in a certain way because we have learned to. Not necessarily that we have freely decide to. Likewise, other belief systems are inserted into consciousness by other interest. Politics may have been handed down to us by our parents. We are "imprinted" in many ways like this.

We might later on decide that some primary idea of merit has us switch "sides" to a differing view because we feel it is more beneficial to our view on life. Regardless, these beliefs can still be highly subjective and perhaps overtly wrong to our life, but we may not see the forest for the trees we plant in front of our view. The life unexamined, may well be the wrong life lived.

The Ceiling Fan

Often our sense of being, even of necessities of survival, can be hit with a notion or a perception that acts as that whack to the self of a ceiling fan blade. We can lash out in all honesty and just cause, and still remain quite wrong. Just as the bee that stung me, religion and politics, most conceptually trapped ideologies, find that outside their own box, "alien" ideas are a direct and immanent threat. When in fact they may not be that at all to a true self. They may even be the effect of something more honest and containing the enhanced truth of higher awareness. Yet in colored by lens perception, they are large, dark to the core, and threatening survival itself.

Without an objective sense of cause and effect. Without a granting of the dignity of existence to the unknown. Without the permission to question my own beliefs and submit to a higher cause. I can be both believing I am honest, faithful and serving the truth of life, when I am in fact doing the opposite in fundamental ways.

Essentials to understanding this dichotomy of being is that permission to question all things to prove themselves truly real. In that I must bend my will to the truth of universal being, the unshakable Laws of Life. What are the obstacles then, preventing me from not being misguided by the ceiling fans and other diversions in the environment that I assume are causing dissonance? What instead of this primal pursuit into knowledge, is telling me not to question and get to know life intimately, up close and personal, with all its nuance filled pathways and ambiguous explorations into differing colors of the rainbow? Which prestablished conceptions do not allow my own investigations into beingness and deeper purpose meanings to Life and Being?

The invisible obvious balance pointing to Union

Humankind has created many apparently competing assumptions regarding interpretation of life. Some see religious based testing of purity as a final truth of a life. Others see a basic decency and honesty as their core value, with the ends being not a primary concern. Still others see life as another sort of extreme play out of competition itself. The individual is then, in this self centered view, allowed to do whatever it can get away with doing and "enjoying". Enjoyment is perceived as a penultimate result of successful living. The proof of this "fact" is in the self centered pudding; hedonism is seen as a kind of final fulfillment of the self, a self apparently on its own to get what it wants and enjoy what it gets. The modern world has combinations of these kinds of views sown into societies cultural quilts.

Some are rewarded by suffering and serving without self gain (that love and caring is seen and felt as the "gain" in and of itself). Others do a bit of both. And certainly some of us want all we can get, "within reason" often conditionalized to our apparent station in life, so we plan on how to achieve a list of these getting's to hopefully fulfil our life.

These folks have a basic optimism, as the prior groups may well have, and see a ladder to success, where one gets to enjoy ones getting on the rungs of the ladder, hopefully moving us upward. Many who feel for some reason socially or institutionally trapped, can have quite a feeling of being held back, and resenting that position seemingly imposed upon them by doings other than their own. Their basic human optimism can be quite tainted by this seemingly human caused condition appearing to ignore them and their dreams.

The millions who play the lottery are likely looking to quick jump to the top of their hypothetical dream life ladder. They want that "good life" "free from worry" (an illusion in most mindsets), and they may well want to spread some of their good luck to family and friends, expanding their winning ground and sense of self, or at least self interest. This suggest we are under economic stress, and a kind of ego fulfillment stress or sense of endemic lack. It also suggest we wish our situation was different in fundamental ways, but adapt as best we can to what we have overall.

There seems to be definite universal qualities to being human, and we tend to have a basic same list of stress and challenges to face individually. It is my sense that we are under one invisible Queen like rule. Some may call this rule Gods will, Spirit, or even Gaia, but whatever this overarching organizing principle is, I seriously doubt that it is actually for selfish, self centered self achievement, or a list centered self actualization's. Humankind not only has diseases built into its genome for survival reasons, but we can assume that personality types and individual characteristics, though perhaps seeming surely negative, may have overarching positive reasons for being conserved as well. If one believes in a logical and rational universe, as opposed to an existential fear and question fest covered with ritualized behaviors to carry through the day with sufficient mystification and domination undertows.

Missing the boat for all the life preservers floating around.

I contend that we are all in this together more than it appears most of us realize. Do we realize that high intelligence needs to be balanced in humanity by "lower" intelligence, the latter often indicating an unrecognized form of specific high intelligence into other matters? These individual gifts or curses are all for the well being of us all. If this idea is correct, our monetary value system, as well as work (value placed on individual life consciousness) value system, is highly mistaken and corrupted.

We have, in effect, divided ourselves up in many fundamental yet false ways, leaving a kind of supermarket of ceiling fans positioned to hit certain segments of our fellow beings down repeatedly. We also appear to disavow any realization of this continuity and balance of human union, but instead insert many moral or other value tags to explain the need for the continuance of the apparent judgemental disconnections and hierarchical value assessments.

The modern world has gone so far as to propose the assumption, that the collateral damage caused by what may well be an extinction machinery embedded with rampant unaccountable individualism, is a good outworking into progress for modern precepts, these being just and right by all the good stuff. Materialism has these sown up in the modern world, and many of the reactions to materialism lack of apparent guiding Supreme "Soul", validate many religions into their purging of attempts at objective reasoning with its truly empowered critical thinking abilities in the individual. The very creative Life mechanisms humankind relies on to fulfill its needs.

IGNORING THE QUEEN

The fundamental assumption at question in these words is; what is the consequence of not recognizing the fundamental ordering principles occurring in spacetime? We notice that humankind seems to acknowledge during most of its history some greater Being or Center or Source to Life. I contend that we all have the sensor for this connection in love and the purpose that comes with caring for all things great and small. In many societies, cultures, but especially the modern western world view, a kind of predatory invention has become more refined. It is a machinery without a conscious captain. The captain is the self centered world view and order being imposed upon humankind.

We are taught from our earliest days, to submit to external authority, and to submit to the wills of those beyond us, merely because we are vulnerable. While some of this vulnerability is indeed true, particularly in youth, the concept goes on to permeated and mutate across the fields of human relationships. It has gotten to the equivalent of the might makes right extreme prejudice; that simply possessing more entitles one to take and have more. This is dominator and predatory philosophy. It is as if the bees in the hive decide on their own, to do whatever they heck they want. Never realizing that if the Queen is not returned to, if Center or Source is not recognized as the organizing principle, the hive itself will degenerate. The bees themselves, flying right into the blades of conflict and extinction.

The notions of individual freedom have become divorced from individual responsibilities to the Whole of Life. They are running rampant into corrupt associations of often highly dysfunctional dominator consciousness. Consciousness that have their own sense of Queen like grandeur, without any universal right to so act. To the degree we continue to follow these dysfunctional leaders of separation and alienation from the Whole, humankind will continue to push the earth to the breaking point of its ability to contain counter reality consciousness.

We are in this Garden of Eden called earth, but also called Life and Being. Some take those whispers they hear as their own self enlightenment to take, get and have whatever they can keep for themselves and their "own". This is being as God, being as the Queen bee. it is fundamentally delusional, for actually you are a member of the one and only human hive. Quite like bees, we must follow the landmarks and the light source back home.

In the world that we live in which is filled with challenges, distractions and what appear to be road blocks, it is often difficult to re-member our Divine nature. To find ten minutes a day to meditate often seems impossible for many to commit to in this highly demanding society that we live in. No one said this journey was easy but the road is indeed simple.

I invite you to try the following excercise that is short, to the point and extremely powerful. Because we are all connected to the Source of all things, everything that we need in already within us. That is sometimes hard for some to swallow but if it is to you, then let's just assume for a moment that it were true. Just as true as the fact that within every acorn is the perfect blue print for an oak tree to unfold. That acorn has a greatest potential, as do we.

Quite your mind for a moment and take a few deep relaxing breaths. Only focus on the moment and becoming totally still. The next step is to go inside your mind to a "place of peace". This place can be a place that you have been or something totally imaginary. The key here is to feel the the sensations of being in that place of peace...where all of your needs are met, where the entire Universe is fully supporting you, where you are unconditionally loved, etc. Observe the sights, the fragrences, the sounds...become one with this place.

Next, invite your highest self to join you in this place of peace. This is the part of you that is connected to the Infinite, which is all knowing and omnipresent. Feel that presence join you in your place of peace. Once you feel this presence, your highest self, ask this presence to show you what your life looks like in its greatest potential. Once you see the highest calling for your life, feel how it feels to live this life of full potentiality. Allow that feeling tone to assimilate into every particle of your being.

If you were able to successfully connect and be shown your highest potential, invite this presence to join you in your place of peace as frequently as possible. This is a very powerful exercise as it will allow you to catch a higher vision for your life and to get out of your head and to simply surrender and be led. We often stress ourselves out by going against the grain and forcing something to happen, when true power comes from surrendering to the natural rhythm of the Universe and allowing things to happen. Go within yourself and get clear on your unique gift and expression, and how you can be best utilized for the highest and greatest good.

If you don't see Sen. Obama as a reflection of our collective leap into a "new age" of consciousness and a new paradigm, you may not be looking beyond the surface of what passes for political discourse in this country.

Right now, we are in the midst of massively significant change as evolving humans. It is what you read about in this blog, and in many of the links I offer from time to time. The steps that so many of us are taking -- the clearing, releasing, surrender, disconnection and reconnection, expansion to higher vibrational realms, allowing, manifesting, stripping away of the veil and remembering more fully who each of us is and why we are here now - are simply holograms of a much, much wider shift.

Communities are changing. Institutions are changing. Governments are changing. Nations are changing. The very planet on which we live - and of which we are an integral component - is changing. Each organism is going through its own process of healing and transformation - and if you peer closely at what is occurring around you, you will see the playing-out of the same patterns and steps to wholeness.

What you are working through at the individual level, Sen. Barack Obama is reflecting and embodying at the national level.

While you bump up against increasingly intolerable levels of discomfort with certain relationships, jobs, living situations, and ingrained ways of being and expressing yourself, you begin to discover new ways to create greater health, prosperity, compassion, joy, and freedom in your life.

The very same process is taking place within and among governments, corporations, banking systems, institutions, and technology all over the world. If it no longer serves, it's gotta go. As the old paradigm increasingly reveals itself as rusty, inefficient, top-heavy, programmed for obsolescence and crumbling under its own weight, it is time to surrender and get on with the business of creating new models and new ways marked by sustainability, inclusivity, and greater freedoms for all.

Anything that now exists is being called upon in a powerfully insistent way, to be whole now.

While you learn to give greater credence to the inklings of your heart and your intuition -- learning to allow and manifest rather than relying solely on analytical reasoning, intellectual maneuverings and a spreadsheet approach to living --you invite the divine marriage of the archetypal masculine and the archetypal feminine to take place within you.

That means introducing the brain in your head to the brain in your heart, and helping them learn to play well together. That means recognizing there is room at the table for myriad ways of processing experience, including those ways that we have tended to label "masculine" or "feminine."

A hallmark of the new paradigm (which, in my estimation, is not tied to some magic date in 2012 but is unfolding in this very moment), is the widespread embrace of the divine feminine archetype. When Sen. Barack Obama honors his wife, his grandmother, his mother, and his two young daughters, he pays homage to the Divine Feminine in all Her glory. The man possesses two fully functioning brain hemispheres and he's not afraid to use them; thus, he is able to bring heart and mind and spirit to his ideas and actions.

In the realm of unity consciousness, many subscribe to the adage, "There's only one of us here." This very sense that each of us is the starving child in India, the homeless family in New Orleans, the battered sex slave in Thailand, the man dying of AIDS in San Francisco, is what gives rise to our growing compassion for others around the globe.

Senator Barack Obama embodies this, elegantly carrying the American, the African, the Christian, the Muslim, the masculine, the feminine, the statesman, the father and the son, in one body. He talks and walks unity and the absolute truth that everyone has a place on the circle.

If you keep your eyes and ears open, you will note an oupouring of bright and brilliant, multidimensional beings now walking among us on Earth. They are coming out of the woodwork after lifetimes of hiding, preparing to serve as wayshowers and to model lives of great compassion, interconnectedness, and wholeness.

Just sayin' that I see Barack Obama as a precious and timely gift to the future of humanity and the planet -- here to assist in the evolution of consciousness at the highest levels. If that's where politics is headed, then I say, "Bring it on!"

Surrendering to Sweet Serenity

This is a primal redeemable truth: I am not outside my consciousness, my awareness, not how I can seem to assume. This may explain how an inner focus to awareness can produce self centeredness, a solipsistic view of life where all that is important revolves around me and what I want or need or think I am. Highly alienated individuals can be self consumed by a focus concerned with only their own needs and desires.

What degree of awareness is always the same or under the influence of body dynamics or that of outer environments? I am not certain that question is answered quite anywhere completely (exceptions being possibly meditation, prayer, or what is called at times cosmic consciousness, a sense of union with the Source of Being). Am I a modem, some simple interface between inner DNA, chemistry, memory and the unknown outer world in which I try to detect what to trust?

WHAT WE DO

It seems societies-culture has let a lot into my perception, to get its hands on my steering wheel, usually for the better but at times for the worse. These very thoughts are highly influenced by the words they must pass through, words from a historical-collective mass, language. Now is never gone from you. I am always here. Here with the Source of whatever keeps all that is going. I am undeniably connected to one vast Being. As if a drop in a stream, I may not know where I begin and end, or if those borders are actually the limiting walls of what and who I am. But no matter who the real me is, the guy writing this, I can be quite certain I have adopted notions about me that are true, false and between the two. I am in all likelihood being someone I am not, in the sense that others are in effect living through me due to the judgement's I have let in about myself in part thanks to them. We are all in this boat. We may not come to grips with the truth that we are all in this boat together, but we are. I do not see or feel the end of the universe we are in.

Change only happens now. If I cannot change some oppressive sense I have about life, I am by inference, not being present with it. The power of being is right here in the now, with you. If I let go of my painful past assumption, I come into the new place, the place of transformation. Many religions and belief systems have a key in the now to unlocking the real me and letting go of the old one. The easiest one to grab a hold of is forgiveness. It embodies the act of present free will, to cut away deterministic like continuations.

FORGIVENESS IS ABOUT BOTH ME AND THE ALL THAT IS. IT IS ABOUT FREEDOM TO BE TRUE TO LOVE.

I believe the arts are symbols of a key to now, especially music, and particularly if one is a participant in music making. Music is one art most all humans do, and many other creatures perhaps. We could say we worship Being in a union of sound in mind and heart. It can be a participatory union with the transcendent qualities of ones identity and place, coming right out of now.

Forgiveness has this musical quality; where I am an active participant, and whatever judgement I am holding for whatever reason, is released by allowing a reconnection to occur with Source. It is cathartic because it acts like a catalyst in that way. Forgiveness is then a form of Higher Consciousness and resulting understanding, where instead of being trapped in a self centered cause, one embraces a higher Cause, which we could call a Grand Self awareness.

For you, my words here are abstractions. They might seem true, but you cannot be certain I do what I say. That is just a well, since your freedom to be more present in the Now, is really all up to you. My statement that we (I), can be cut off from the fullness of present life, is quite possibly agreed with by you. The question is, how one finds that essential center when one really needs it, or if I can stay there and still deal with past and future speculations I seem required to attend to to figure out my path through life.

It quite possibly will require practice to undo past programming. Our programming is as if an addiction holds us for better or worse. One could say we are addicted to eating and breathing for good reasons we would not wish to end. Breaking harmful addictions are a matter of making a declaration to change right now, and keeping ones power there no matter the pull to fall back. That is when the present moment comes into full potential.

Harmful assumptions about life have possibly become neurally "wired" in, and require you to have some tools to rewire around the problematic issues. This may be aided by symbols, rituals, or talisman that act as reminders of where Center is and what you hold as a known Sacred Point. My self realignments can be aided by reminders of my direction when I get lost, landmarks to Home.

This has been one example of a space-time portal. A description of just one of the ways the weight of the past can be lifted from individual consciousness. It involves what we could call new but always present needs; the need for empathy, compassion, understanding unstopped by ignorance, that some of what people do to us may not be liked and understandable, but was done for what seemed to them, a sound reason, a reason quite possibly based in separation.

The separation may have originated in them, or me, or my impression. But what we call wisdom, or spiritually transcendent being, rises above the implied alienated subjective, reaching through space and time, to touch the Eternal Source. Now is that closest place, where the answer to separation is found, and the Song continues on.

Fortunately, you are right here with It.

This is a primal redeemable truth: I am not outside my consciousness, my awareness, not how I can seem to assume. This may explain how an inner focus to awareness can produce self centeredness, a solipsistic view of life where all that is important revolves around me and what I want or need or think I am. Highly alienated individuals can be self consumed by a focus concerned with only their own needs and desires.

What degree of awareness is always the same or under the influence of body dynamics or that of outer environments? I am not certain that question is answered quite anywhere completely (exceptions being possibly meditation, prayer, or what is called at times cosmic consciousness, a sense of union with the Source of Being). Am I a modem, some simple interface between inner DNA, chemistry, memory and the unknown outer world in which I try to detect what to trust?

It seems societies-culture has let a lot into my perception, to get its hands on my steering wheel, usually for the better but at times for the worse. One guy (I assume) had quite the post on tribalism, evolution, social theory, top predator as self predator-hard wired. He began to explain how, we more advanced types need to impose anti tribalism notions back onto Africa to save them from themselves, or from us, I got lost in the bad is good and good not so much connections.

Circles began to form around the rationalizations. I wondered why, if as this guy said; the "dark side" is not as bad as we seem to think, it might have worked for us so lets try it on them again. There is an institutional bias if one sees history as the permanent overlord of human motivation. How can we be sure of any derivations from fateful out-workings as being "good" manipulations?

Tolerance was stated as a higher place of mind, which I would agree with. But take the mind-frame out of human supposedly higher consciousness development, and where are we that is actually that much better? Is not that Doomsday Clock still at 11 something near midnight, thanks to all our supposedly enlightened associations ? African tribes have not particularly been the cause of this Doomsday Clock have they? (Excluding the realization that we are all essentially of African stock.) What about our favorite church, companies and governments trying to have it all their own way in the world?

From who and how is enlightenment going to be imposed on anyone? Is not Iraq deconstructing towards tribal states? How much imposition of the "better" way really works? How often do we repeat these attempts before the hands on the clock strike twelve?

THE MIND RUNNING OFF INTO THE JUNGLE

If the argument is human enlightenment or death of the species, seems quite clear we need enlightenment. I agree that much of what is bad in human nature is there for survival reasons. I do not believe we need to impose another boundary on someone other, from on high, to achieve understanding. Indeed, that now seems a most mechanical, social engineering approach, by those who consider themselves, for any reason, superior.

If imposing institutional order is the only true way of ending human attempts at self annihilation, there seems to remain a problematic reactionary impulse to external human mandates on behavior, regardless of holier motivations. Whether left or right or other orthodoxy, most nations seem to divide in half over the see-saw of which ideas way to go. It amazes me how the two halves then blame the other for problems, while all they have is solutions. Until that pendulum swings and we go back again to the other side. Most religions deconstruct in these ways to many sects (who is the most pure or interpreting correctly abstractions). When will there be this great understanding, given by institutional prescription? Or is there something intrinsically wrong in, effectively external institutional, attempts to impose order for the greater good, despite the individuals own understandings of it?

In all the abstractions of historical perspective unknowingly wrapped in its own views bias, do we ever actually get beyond the individuals responsibility to recognize the Universe her or himself? Is not the real truth apparent in It? To what extent have human consensus realities and all their precepts interfered with the individuals abilities to know self and come to know higher orders of yes and no regarding motivations and results in space-time of social interactions and other environments? What stops humans from a greater awareness of place and interconnectedness beyond eventual reactionary tribal identities?

GOOD IN WHICH WAY FORWARD?

There seems to be a more fundamental human problem; the removal of inherent authority of the individual to know common good as self good. And how to stand up for the personal work to achieve higher understanding based on a selfish self-centerness that extends to the Whole Universe Itself. An awareness despite the attempts by others to insist ignorance rules self, society and nation-state, and so institutions must impose control. How much more advanced socially are we in the western world, when paranoia of others is so easily put in control? What is left out of the I know better than you equations, regarding individual responsibilities, which actually is the bedrock of humankind?

Why is Love of and for all things, or for anything as far as that goes, never mentioned? How is that phenomenon that makes life most worthwhile, left off of histories or scientific radar?

Individuals and groups in financial markets everywhere, lacking inner fulfillment, have demonstrated inordinate greed resulting in reckless financial games and gambling – are bringing the financial system to its knees.

Such mismanagement in the financial system, I believe, will require the new world central bank to disallow banks everywhere from continuing in unfettered debt creation and speculative excesses. In search of ever higher returns, banks created overly lax lending standards, highly leveraged loans, obscure financial entities bearing major financial risks unconsolidated in their financial statements, and generally ran down the quality of their assets and reserves to unsafe levels.

‘Shadow banking’ system larger than conventional banking
All the while an even bigger, massively leveraged, totally unregulated, thinly capitalized, ‘shadow-banking’ system was allowed to balloon by bank regulators. And it is now in the process of imploding! Bill Gross, managing director of PIMCO, the world’s largest bond fund, said this recently about the shadow banking system: “Our modern shadow banking system craftily dodges the reserve requirements of traditional institutions and promotes a chain letter, pyramid scheme of leverage, based in many cases on no reserve cushion whatsoever.”

Due to the enormous growth of irresponsible central bank and banking activities globally, plus the vast, mushrooming credit creation of the shadow banking system – the world’s money supply is expanding out-of-control.

Unprecedented money supply growth creates inflation as bad as 1970s
Globally we see that, “China [is] registering an 18% plus growth in money, India 22.4% a year growth, Singapore 14%, Britain up by 12.3%, Western Europe 11.5%, Australia 16%, Canada 13%, and Saudi Arabia 22%!” So says The Mogambo Guru, Richard Daughty. These are ‘broad money supply’ figures. John Williams of www.shadowstats.com shows the US broad measure of money supply, as of early February 2008, increasing at annual rate of 16.8%. (The US Federal Reserve stopped publishing this measure in March 2006 claiming it costs too much to produce. Many economists suspect that they just wanted to hide the ramping-up of the US money supply.)

Even Marketwatch’s chief economist, Irwin Kellner, is concerned about US money supply growth. He said recently, that, “The rate of growth for highly liquid funds which the St. Louis Fed calls MZM [i.e. physical money, checking and money market accounts, etc.]... soared by an annual rate of 22.7% between December 24, 2007 and February 18 of this year.” He adds, “... it has created a whole lot of inflation.”

The link between an expanding money supply and inflation is firmly established. As the Bank of England’s Governor, Mervyn King quoting a highly respected study, said, that “Over the 30 year horizon 1968-98, the correlation coefficient between the growth rates of both narrow and broad money, on the one hand, and inflation, on the other, was 0.99.” Thus in the words of Milton Friedman, the recently deceased Nobel Economics prize winner, "... inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon."

In the US, consumer price inflation using the politically biased, understated, consumer price index (CPI-U) is in January 2008 up 4.3% from a year earlier. But using the CPI methodology as of 1980, it is almost hyperinflationary at close to 12%! Inflation in China is now running at 8.7%, while in the EU and the UK, though more moderate at 3.4% and 3.1% respectively, it is picking-up significantly and well above their respective central bank targets.

The foregoing suggests that the present global monetary and financial system is reaching a state of extraordinary instability. The danger is the possibility of rapidly growing, unstoppable inflation culminating in a hyperinflationary episode such as is now occurring in Zimbabwe. Or, a threat of a deflationary bust similar to the Great Depression.

Higher consciousness the only real answer
The only real answer to such economic threats is higher global consciousness. This, I am convinced, will gain traction. (See my post, The Missing Ingredient In Economics — Consciousness!). In future years, this higher consciousness will, amongst other things, first manifest itself by allowing our financial overseers to see the need for, and create, a world central bank.

In ages past central banks utilized gold to help create monetary order. A new world central bank might well find a role for gold again, but in an updated, modern form. I will write about this in another post.

I feel compelled to share my experience with you all from a new phenomenon that is sweeping the world called the Oneness Blessing or Deeksha as it is known in India.

This movement was started a few years ago by two avatars who were born with an extraordinarily high state of consciousness and are now helping others to raise their states of consciousness and free themselves from their pain.  And the best thing is that it is completely passive.  What I mean you don't have to spend years meditating, or in therapy, or doing anything, except receiving!

Now I've either got your interest or you've switched off thinking I've been taking drugs. Well, I can honestly say I have not.  But the amazing thing is that I really am not interested in what your perception is.  This is a new experience for me!

As you know I am a great advocate of EFT and have had many incredible breakthroughs with Emotional Freedom Technique and still use it almost every day.  I believe it is responsible for helping me being where I am right now in my life.  However, the Deeksha I have received in recent times has accelerated this experience to another extraordinary level.

I had my first Deeksha in about August last year.  It was a group gathering and the blessing givers (there is a 21 day process in India to initiate blessing givers) gave each of us 4 blessings that day.  A blessing entails the giver placing their hands on the receivers head (although the blessing can also be given over distance) and facilitating an energy transfer that closes down the brains primal or fear centres and opens up the frontal cortex which increases our connection to the Divine. 

On this day I felt a sense of peace and tranquility which was nice.  I also noticed brief (very brief) gaps in the incessant thoughts that continually parade through my mind day, after day, after day.  It was nice.

My second gathering I received 3 blessings and again it was nice.  I felt a deeper sense of peace and tranquility and I knew something had shifted but again it was subtle, but the experience was definitely deeper.

The third experience was just a few days ago and the result has been truly profound.  I received 7 blessings that day which kind of blew my circuits a bit.  The following 4 days I was laid very low with a cold which is most unusual for me.  As a health practitioner I am very conscious of my nutrition and I haven't had such a debilitating experience with sickness for many years.  But through it I knew the reason: I had received a deep spiritual shift and I was cleansing and integrating.

As I began to feel better this afternoon I noticed something very exciting.  I no longer associate happiness with anything "out there".  I thought I had worked on that issue and I didn't think that I was dependant on the external to determine how I felt.  How wrong I was.  I won't waffle on forever as our language is completely inadequate to describe the deep sense of inner peace I now feel. It is the most empowering feeling as I now feel completely free to follow my heart without concern for the outcome.  I now have a deep inner knowing that I am completely supported by the Universe as I allow myself to do whatever fills my heart.  Does this mean I am going to sit on my lounge and watch movies while I eat chips and chocolate for the rest of my life?  Absolutely not!!!  It means my only consideration now is what fills my soul; what inspires me; what is my purpose?  And I know everything else will follow.

I have come a very long way in recent years because of EFT and I have achieved many things subsequently. Also, the work I have done has paved the way for me to be able to make this new profound shift in my life.

As with everything, everybodies experience is different. There were no fireworks or out of body experiences for me. Nothing of the sort. Each shift was subtle and each has deepened my sense of self and connection with the Divine and I am really looking forward to my future Deeksha's because this part of my journey is just beginning.  How exciting is that?????

Is metanoia about repentance (stopping doing things that are unloving, addictive/abusive, inimical to the grace of God), or is it about entering into a new mind: a heightened consciousness, a spiritual quantum leap?

I don't think the answer to this question has to be either/or. In fact, I think Christian mysticism is all about how metanoia is a both/and proposition. Christian metanoia means both repentance and higher consciousness.

One of the persons I spoke with this weekend does a lot of dream work, and when I mentioned this idea that metanoia involved entering into higher consciousness, he asked "but what about the unconscious?" gesturing with his hands to show that he (like I) recognizes the body as the "location" of unconsciousness.

"The unconscious is still part of consciousness, it's just consciousness at a different level of awareness," I replied. "We need to get away from any dualistic ideas that separate consciousness from unconsciousness."

I remember after having my kundalini awakening experience...over the course of the next six or seven months, things were so intense. Energy was just coursing through my body...I was in a contant state of hyperawareness and "knowing". It was really awesome. That was a few years ago now, and since then the energy is still always there but I am more accustomed to it..it's my "normal" now.

Anyway, while I was still getting used to the new and improved me, I had some really extraordinary "phenomena" happen...and I started to wonder if I was "special"....a special person given special powers to do special things. So I went into meditation on that. The answer I got back was "what did you expect when you started to interact with God". That was a profound revelation for me and it made perfect sense.  I am far less of an ass than I would have been because of it.

Weirdly, I have met two people who never got the memo...and both have come to believe they are gods. The first one thought she was Jesus. She had guru juju...where she could project love....she talked in an airy/trancy sort of voice so everyone would know her message was coming from "a higher place". She wanted to spread "love". We were friends for about two months before her "love" became so toxic that she was completely intolerable. God there was a lot of drama...she was all about purging your emotions through communication...talking talking talking...and crying crying crying. Pleh.

She told us that on her 33rd birthday, like Jesus, she would die. She didn't...so she left town, had a baby and got married. I can't even tell you what a trip that was. Before she didn't die I got really mad at her and told her "enlightened is as enlightened does" and spreading love without compassion is just throwing garbage into the garden without letting it compost. I suggested that before she spread anymore love she stop in her tracks, turn around and look at the trail of broken hearts and lives she's left in her wake.

On her birthday she said she confronted a demon instead of dying and it changed everything for her. I think I know what actually happened. In the course of my meditations I have explored different parts of the brain and how they react to the spinning energy when you focus it in different areas. When you get too close to the bits that control the sympathetic nervous system your "survival" drive kicks into gear and what you get are creatures from the darkest parts of your subconscious...running you off so you don't inadvertantly stop your heart or something. I think she started fishing around her brainstem and got more than she bargained for.

The other person I know who thinks she is god...wow. She's a big visionary person...she has prophetic dreams and sees things all the time. She talks a good game...but she's completely narcissistic. Everything she does...right or wrong is justified because she's god and has a destiny. OK...right there...how could god have a destiny? Isn't god all ready everything? She thinks she sees and knows everything. It's annoying...everytime you have a conversation with her she's had a dream about it. She works very hard to make sure that everyone knows her dreams so that when they happen she'd validated. Why would god need validation? Her dreams are amazing...and she sees a lot and she's wrong a lot. I have amazing dreams, I see a lot and am wrong a lot. There are many many people who have amazing visions, premonitions, who respond to cries for help in spirit form, who just know a lot of stuff that shouldn't be "knowable". The have amazing visions...they see a lot, and they are wrong a lot.

She also believes her experiences are more profound than other people's...she had a thing happen where she felt how long the water had been on the planet...from the water in her body to the water hitting her in the shower to the water in the ocean...she could feel it back to the dinosaurs. Which is a pretty rockin experience. I had one where I was the life force in every cell...traveling up the roots of grass and into trees...living photosynthesis...feeling how life "is" in every living thing. Which was also a pretty rockin experience...but she contends her vision is different somehow...more...and if I were her then I would "know". There are many examples of this kind of nonsense.

It's stupid. Attaining great levels of awareness doesn't seem to change a person at their core the way one would think it might. This is why I am down on gurus. I have attained very high levels of consciousness but it doesn't prevent me from doing dumb stuff. It just give me perspective on the relative smallness of the things we hold so dear. Knowing the dumb things are small ripples in a very big ocean.

So, here is my advice: if you run across someone who claims to be god, make them turn water into wine....and if they can, then start a winery and put them to work, because if god is here in form he/she's going to have to make a living like they rest of us or they'll end up sleeping on your sofa. And there is no greater pain in the ass than god on your sofa.

Our animal friends are awake, aware alive... not only that, they are ARTISTS.

They are VISIONARY STEWARDS, showing US the way home to real-eyes-ing -- true-seeing, that we are not alone, we are All One.

I hold the space for humanity waking up, and moving beyond the paradigm of self-hate and recapitulation which would allow harming one another or other species. May we grow, evolve, change, love and thrive.

The elephants will help us.

written by His own hand?

I have a thing for first hand information.  Especially where the whole  "redemption of every single human spirit for all time" is concerned.

.... it's days like today when I wish I hadn't pulled the trigger on The 13 Graces, where I chronicled a lot of my whole "losing my religion" journey.  Today, I don't think I'm losing it - I think it's lost,  pagany wench that I am these days.  More and more I'm walking away from those roots of my family tribal beliefs and out into the 'wilderness' of a spirituality all my own.  A spirituality born from an eclectic love of all things magical and mystical and Divine.

Isn't all of life magical?  Is a prayer different that a chant different than an affirmation different than a chat?  When you put oil on a cloth to place on the sick, is that any different than lighting a candle amongst some herbs, on which to place your intent? 

Why can't God wear a feminine face like mine, if I AM?  WHY have so many men gone to such lengths over the course of time, trying to obliterate the Divine Feminine, the Mother God, the She Who Is?

Back to my original question that has no answer in the Holy Grail of Christian theology: The Bible.  Jesus was a learned man, a scholar, who read and write.

Don't you think He might have found just a FEW hours - maybe in that 40 day Wilderness trip - to pen a little sumpin' sumpin' about the whole "Born Again" and "Believe Or Be Damned" experience, if that was TRUTH?  You know, so we weren't reliant on others misinterpreting His deeds and His words. 

Seems like an important enough topic that a short note would have been appropriate.

I love beautiful art.  In fact, my blog here is filled with pieces of my favorites from the Pre-Raphaelites.  Their magical, vibrant qualities speak to my romantic soul, and satisfy it.

I also love animals. And when I read stories of dolphins saving surfers, cats that comfort dying elderly folk, or dogs that save their human owners, it always makes me stop and think about the consciousness of these wonderful beings.  Anyone who's had a pet of  any kind can attest to the fact that they definitely seem to have their own brand of intelligence, emotional responses, and ways of communicating.  Our animals friends are simply amazing...and may the Universe have mercy on us for the cruelty done to them at the hands of humans, every single day.

But that's not what I wanted to share this morning.  I wanted to share something that combines these two loves of mine into one amazing experience.

Life is Art.

As we feel into this knowing, we are activating our natural self, awakening it into it's fullest expression.

I celebrate this film as an 'awakener' with the potential to activate us further into living in 'reality.'
