Madonna and Guy Ritchie tried to let on during public appearances that everything was fine but even the paparazzi could see the tension. Who's to blame? Nobody. The lifestyles of the rich and famous doom even the most solid of marriages but even this marriage I don't think anyone would call ideal. Plus, you had to think the age difference (Guy, 40, Madonna, 50) had to do something with it. I mean Guy could get a way hotter younger wife. For Madonna -er she was pretty lucky to be banging Guy, let's be honest. Madonna is not hot anymore, just old and awkwardly under dressed for her age. First, they should sell a "Super Alien Pack" with all 10 clear figures and a spare set of batteries for the watch, as the watch has those annoying button cell batteries. Second, the Omnitrix I picked up had a little quirk in that the face was reluctant to stay completely down. Also, the clear figures are designed so that they will only slot in facing the power switch, aka backwards. You can wear the watch with the power switch facing you, which is a great way to save battery, but its a bit annoying. One very positive aspect of the watch is the improved strap. It's hard to get on, but once you get the hang of it, the pegs are made much better compared to the fastening pegs for the Ben 10 Omnitrix F/X (first Omnitrix toy), which tear off after a month or so of use. Overall, great toy but a little "glitchy".</p>

<p>Off camera lighting adds a nice contrast to the sun. With off camera lighting I place the subject facing away from the sun and towards their shadow, and illuminate the front of them with the flash. For a dramatic look, underexpose the background about a 2 stop difference from the foreground and subject.</p>
<p>Cactus triggers are the way to go for off camera flash, they're cheap and reliable. You can pick up a pair for roughly $30.00 USD. For this shoot, I waited until the night before the assignment was due. I ran down to the L&#38;N Train Depot in Murphy, North Carolina and downtown Murphy to shoot. My two models, Pierce and Manny held the flash for each other while I shot each of them. If you're having somebody hold a flash for you, tell them to create a triangle with you and the model. Hold the flash up high, and point down towards your subject. This is easy lighting also if you're using a stand.</p>
<p>I had 2 hours to process the raw images, choose 20 and edit. This image I applied a lightroom preset filter for quick editting, and in photoshop I created a layer mask and adjusted the curves and saturation on the sky.</p>
<p>OT: Did I mention my fucking camera broke during this shoot? It sucks ass. The Nikon D70 is known to experience shutter failure and that's what happened to me. I wrote a letter to Nikon telling them about the incident and sent a scribbled stick version of myself having a blast with my once working D70, but that was about 2 weeks ago. I'm waiting for my pity surprise brand new D3 to arrive in the mail any day now (no guarantees, it's just a nice thought.) Once I start raking some money in I'm upgrading to the Canon 5D.</p>

<p>This photo was processed in Lightroom 2, no Photoshop CS3 though. I should probably go back and clean up these images but I guess it just hasn't happened yet. You can download Lightroom 2 preset filters off the internet. Just google "Lightroom 2 free preset filters." They never really work perfectly without adjustments, but they're good for editing a batch of photos.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Mr. Haggis]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I'm not actually sure of the guys real name...obviously Mr. Haggis is not it, but I just remember thinking about Haggis when he told us all what it was, so I've somehow mentally blocked his real name and replaced it with Haggis.</p>
<p>He's our new Computer Tech teacher, we've had about 3 or 4 this year, our last one switched classes. Maybe she hated us, I dunno. Point is now we have Mr. Haggis and he's really really annoying. I hate CTO (computer tech) so I don't know if I was just in a bad mood that I had to sit through 35 minutes of the shit, or that he just wouldn't let up. Because seriously, he would not let up, he just kept coming back over and over again. All the while I'm biting my tongue so that I don't get suspended or something...</p>
<p>He did the whole talking thing at the beginning of the lesson, and then he started walking up to people individually talking to them about stuff, just checking up on them etc. He came up to me the first time and was like,</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">"hey, you know what you're doing?"</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Me: "Yep" (<em>fuck off)</em></p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Haggis: "So you're right with everything"</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Me: "Yep" <em>(No seriously, get the fuck away from me)</em></p>
<p>Then I complained about this to the person next to me. Then he came around again about 10 minutes later with a newspaper of some sort advertising a concert. (We're doing an assignment where we have to create a concert)</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Haggis: "have a look at this"</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Me: "Cool" (<em>omg what is this? Who the fuck are you anyway! Idon't even know your name! Stop talking to me!!) </em></p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Haggis: "this is what we're doing, so have a look"</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Me: I stared blankly for about 10 seconds, just for dramatic effect, then said, "Cool."<em>(fuck off fuck off FUCK OFF!) </em></p>
<p>This guy would just not go away. He came around a third time to say something, I just blatantly ignored him that time. I said to the chick sitting next to me, "fuck this teacher's annoying..." Unknown to me at the time was that he was standing about half a metre away from me. Hope he gets the hint though...</p>
<p>Like if he would just leave me alone I'd like him, it's CTO for fuck sake, I don't need your help! Maths on the other hand, now that's where I'd much rather a teacher that paid attention and could teach and control the class. Hopefully I get a good one next year...otherwise I'm gonna fail...miserably. That skinny percussion guy who stalks the school captain was like "I'm doing Maths B (hard maths), Maths C (hardest maths available) and Physics." I'm thinking you fuckhead, what the fuck is your problem. Get a life, seriously. That's what the school captain is doing at the moment. He was all excited recently about getting a cool phone. The phone is actually pretty shit and is about 3 years old. It's the Nokia 6280, it was new at the beginning of 2006. It's my friends old one, and it's just like the school captain's one. The same colour and the exact same model.</p>
<p>I hate Mr. Haggis...computer tech sucks.</p>

<p>Spilletid: 104 min</p>
<p>Guy Ritchie er nok en regissør jeg vil omtale som en favoritt. Snatch. er den beste filmen hans, men han har også laget <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120735/">Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels</a> og <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365686/">Revolver</a>, to veldig gode filmer. I tillegg laget han kalkunen <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0291502/">Swept Away</a> med kona Madonna i hovedrollen, men har nylig gått tilbake til gangstersjangeren med <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1032755/">RocknRolla</a> som kommer til Norge senere i år.</p>
<p>Blant de mest kjente skuespillerne finner vi selvsagt Brad Pitt, allerede nevnt i denne <a href="http://denhoyefotograf.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/dhfs-favorittfilmer-13/">listen</a>, Jason Staham, som har blitt kongen av lette actionfilmer med ting som <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293662/">The Transporter</a> (bra!) og <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0479884/">Crank</a> (ok), i tillegg til Vinnie Jones, en tdligere fotballspiller og ekte badass.</p>
<p>Snatch. begynner med at en enorm diamant blir stjålet, men den forsvinner. Avi (Farina), som skulle få diamanten, må reise til England for å finne den sammen med Doug the Head og Bullet Tooth Tony (Jones). Turkish (Statham) driver med ulovlig boksepromotering sammen med partneren Tommy (Graham). Når bokseren deres Gorgeous George blir slått ut av sigøyneren Mickey (Pitt), velger de å få Mickey til å sloss i stedet. Det gir dem problemer med gangsteren Brick Top. Han styrer boksingens underverden, og er ikke fornøyd når Mickey ikke taper når han skal. Samtidig prøver tre småskurker å rane bookmakeren til Brick Top. Snart er alle blandet sammen med hverandre for å få tak i den største diamanten de noensinne har sett.</p>
<p>Dette er sånn mange historier skal flettes sammen. Det fins mange gode eksempler i sjangeren, men ingen fullt så underholdende. Ritchie fortsetter i samme stil som i Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, men gjør det enda bedre. Det er kjempegøy, spennende og ikke minst utrolig morsomt. For det er mye bra komedie her, spesielt i scenene som involverer sigøynerne.</p>
<p>En av de beste tingene ved Guy Ritchie sine filmer er den visuelle stilen. Det brukes en veldig kjapp klipperytme til tider, og masse stlige overganger. I Snatch. bruker han også kryssklipping, som i denne scenen der han setter hund som jakter på hare opp mot gangstere som jakter på småskurk (begynner 0.58):</p>

<p>Vil gjerne også dra fram et eksempel til av samme grunn. Dette er nesten helt i begynnelsen, åpningstekstene, som egentlig introduserer alle hovedkarakterene som er involvert. Legg merke til alle jump cut'ene og de stilige overgangene. Selv i scener der folk blir introdusert er denne filmen veldig underholdende.</p>

<p>I tillegg har filmen noen veldig stilig filmede boksekamper, med fantasifulle løsninger også der. Poenget mitt er vel rett og slett at stilen til Guy Ritchie er veldig interessant og gøy å se på. Det ligger liksom et ønske om fart og spenning under hele filmen. Og det funker jo særdeles bra.</p>
<p>Skuespillet er kanskje ikke de store dramatiske rollene, men alle gjør en god jobb. Spesielt Brad Pitt har tydelig hatt det morsomt med karakteren sin. Statham spiller rollen han passer best til, er vel kanskje ikke så mange andre han kan spille. Del Toro har en ganske liten rolle, men det aksepterer jeg siden han har et veldig morsomt lite musikalsk avbrudd som blir gjentatt for å vise hans forhold til gambling.</p>
<p>I tillegg har Snatch. en bra slutt med en twist som fungerer veldig bra. Rett og slett en film jeg kan se om igjen og om igjen og aldri bli lei. På IMDb har den 8.2/10 med 122 950 stemmer, og ligger på 161. plass på <a href="http://www.imdb.com/chart/top?tt0208092">top 250</a>. Som alltid, se traileren nedenfor, og ta nå og få sett denne fantastiske filmen. Du vil ikke angre på det.</p>

<p>They say they love each other. But does it last? Are they really able to intertwine two individuals' likes, dislikes, hobbies, tempers, egos, whims and fancies and mould it into a single path.. a single road?</p>
<p>I know here I am going to go against all that I said in my earlier posts..but I felt I had to view love life from the opposite point too...</p>
<p>Isn't a singles life much simpler and uncomplicated than that of a married life?</p>
<p>- No responsibilities.</p>
<p>- Nobody to please.</p>
<p>- Nobody to take permission from before going anyplace or doing anything.</p>
<p>- FREEDOM!!</p>
<p>- Your own space.</p>
<p>- Nobody to look after or care for.</p>
<p>- No ego clashes.</p>
<p>- No criticisms.</p>
<p>...The list goes on...</p>
<p>But, everyone yearns to get married. Why?</p>
<p>Firstly, it must be because she wants company. She wants a companion to share her every moment with.</p>
<p>Next, I guess it is mostly due to peer pressure. It is a very common pattern that when one gets married, and another, and another, you feel you are the only single woman left and you too want to get into the status of Mrs. because you feel, else you are going to be left alone..that else, nobody is going to want you. That is when you find everything dissatisfying and ugly around you. Because you crave for something and it just is not happening!</p>
<p>There are also people who wants to try out love. Like an experiment. As it is something new and different and they hear everyone raving about it, they too want to get a taste of it!</p>
<p>Some are forced into it and have no other way out. Either to please their parents or "keep up face" in society!</p>
<p>Yes. I agree these are truly rubbish reasons. But it is true.</p>
<p>Is not a live-in relationship so much easier to handle than a marriage? I mean is it not as much comforting and as companionable and in fact, filled with so much more love than a married relationship?</p>
<p>It is an enforced situation for a married person... especially when they get married after falling in love. Coz' him being the guy she herself chose, it would be a hit to her ego and it is not at all easy for her to accept that she may have been wrong and a little too hasty or even careless! So, they end up acting as though everything is perfectly alright until a time is reached where it becomes totally unbearable!</p>
<p><em>Marriage</em> according to Wikipedia, "..<em>is an institution in which interpersonal relationships (usually intimate and sexual) are acknowledged by the state or by religious authority</em> and ." So is it necessary? Do you really want it? Is it truly worth all that you loose when you transfer yourself from the single to the coupled state?</p>

In truth, well, some live just for that moment when they are married to the man of their dreams (at least they thought he summed up that way. But dreams are not real.) And there might be moments when you feel he is THAT Perfect guy. But most other times he just may not be. If you love him, you just got to accept that and live with it. But some may argue whether that might not mean that we are sacrificing who we are for someone else. But, that is love.. I'm sorry I guess I slightly deviated from my topic..</p>
<p>Personally speaking, there are times I think my guy is the Perfect one. But there are also other times when I think why and how I ever married him!!!</p>
<p>As I said before, That's life.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Went out to eat with a good friend of mine and asked him if he'd be willing to contribute to my portfolio. He was thrilled! He'll be attending an event called Launch with his agency (potentil agency?) and he needs to update his portfolio as well so we're in the works of setting up some shoots.</p>
<p>here's a photo of him, he's the short haired model on the left. I'm also hoping to work with his friend on the right but we haven't set anything up yet. ^_^</p>

<p>if anybody else in interested in setting up a shoot, LET ME KNOW! I'm willing to do TF* (if you have a great look or idea/concept) or paid (i'm cheap and easy!!). I'm willing to travel to some extent. I'm also willing to travel further or do more involved/complicated shots if certain things are paid for of course.  I do have access to a small stock of props, clothes and make-up and am more than ok with you bringing your own. I don't mind escorts. I'm laid back and fun!!!</p>
<p>ya, i know that might sound a bit desperate but i'm chomping at the bit to get going on some shoots expecially before fall is over and winter turns everything monochromatic!</p>
