This word pushes buttons all over the place!

Give in, give over to something larger than yourself. Sink to the floor and cry and wail if you must, and acknowledge you're lost, confused, afraid.

To some, it means to give up, to accept defeat, to hand your sword over to the enemy. It means "I have lost." It's something you scream out loud so your brother or sister or best friend will stop tickling you. Others couch it in religious terms; the surrender is to an all-powerful God. Surrender is something you do -- or more likely, adamantly refuse to do.

Give in, give over to something wiser than yourself. Stop trying to work out solutions in your brain, and let go of your desire to be in control (which, by the way, is a highly over-rated position). Just give in.

Over time, surrender has become one of my favorites, part of a family that includes gratitude, joy, love, grace, peace, forgiveness, among others. Each of these words represents so much more than an action you execute in response to a given set of circumstances: Each is rounder, fuller, embracing a quality or presence that you cultivate throughout life. Surrender isn't something you do between getting the oil changed and upgrading your cell phone service. You breathe it, live it, embody and express it.

Cry out "It's too hard!" if it feels that way. Yell and scream "It's not fair!" if it isn't. When you're through kicking and screaming, just surrender.

Surrender is not for the weak, but the strong. It connotes not failure, but victory over that which threatens to hold you in emotional, psychological, physical, or spiritual bondage. Surrender is the liberator, the freedom-bringer, the warrior wielding the sharp sword that looses the ties that too-tightly bind. Surrender beckons, invites you to lay down your burden, exhale your anger, jettison your resentment, offload your baggage in exchange for a lightness of being and an ease that allows you to feel response-able in every moment (instead of responsible for all time).

Surrender is the crown jewel of "letting go" (perhaps Job One for most of us right now). Same song, different lyric, stronger melody. And by the way, this word has been whispering in my ear for several days now, as I quietly, patiently (mostly), wait for that perfect moment when I manifest safe passage from here in rural Utah, back home to Colorado -- even though I feel "done" here and a tad antsy. Pondering, writing about, and accepting surrender's invitation to dance, sure beat whipping myself into a knotted frenzy!

Imagine a place where you can drop off a basketful of your pain, fear, and darkness and say "Here, it's yours" to a kindly soul who will return your interior laundry in a cleaner, crisper form.

But first, you must say I surrender...

When you have an Entrepreneurial spirit you first visualise something in a dream or a flash and then having no regard for the damage your idea could or might cause you, you have to follow it through to fruition and reach realisation of your dream.

If you are lucky enough to have a close and loving family and you have perhaps 3 or 4 Friends then you are very lucky indeed. My family have supported me through thick and thin and i guess it has been as much a hair raising journey for them as it has been for me- and it's not over yet!

I have had many successes and also many failures, but then i guess most Entrepreneurs have. My latest venture that i have been involved in has been met with criticism, sarcasm, slander and libel against both the business and my personal name. I worked for somebody previously who was less than honest in fact the only thing i can describe this person as is a lying, stealing crook who will stop at nothing to hurt and destroy other people. A weak man who has tried everything from website slander to reporting incidents that never happened or took place. I pity this man, for one day he will wake up with no friends, no money and only a 6ft by 6ft cell to look at pictures of what he thought he once was- anyway enough of weak people.

Why do so many people actually want to see you fail? Is it because they do not have the courage to do what you do? Is it because they would not and could risk everything on a dream or do they have more sense? Most successful Entrepreneurs know why so many people do not take the chance and that is simply because in todays climate there are more and more obstacles to overcome before you can realise your success.

I went to a seminar held by a guy called Adrian Webster who wrote a book called "Polar Bear Pirates and their quest to reach Fat City".... the essence of the book is that in your search for Fat City you will come across all sorts of people, head treader's, molasses man, the neg ferret and many other characters or viruses that will try to stop you reaching your goal.. visit http://www.polarbearpirates.com/

My simple advice to you is this:- NEVER STOP TRYING TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS, NEVER FOR ONE MINUTE GIVE IN.. INSTEAD DRAW BREATH AND FIND ANOTHER WAY, ALWAYS FIND ANOTHER WAY AND WHEN YOU ARE EXHAUSTED, DEAD IN THE WATER AND YOU START TO THINK ITS ALL OVER- ITS NOT! FIND YOUR FRIENDS FIND YOUR FAMILY AND FIND OTHER LIKE MINDED INDIVIDUALS AND BOUNCE YOUR THOUGHTS OFF THEM AND A ROUTE WILL PRESENT ITSELF.

We are Entrepreneurs and your biggest asset is in never giving in and if we did not exist then jobs would not be created, industry would not flourish and innovation would suffer as a result. We can leave a wake of destruction or pavements lined with gold for people to follow.

If your people believe in you then they will go above and beyond the call of duty to realise your dreams with you. Entrepreneurs do not ever be afraid to share you ideas thoughts and actions, no matter how outlandish they may seem to you. Another perspective is a another point of view which used wisely can be a very powerful tool indeed.

Giving in is a good thing but millions give up.
Give in to your true self but don’t give up to

Giving in is a good thing but millions give up.

Give in to your true self but don't give up to self defeat. Millions are unaware that they have totally given up. How do you tell a quitter? a quitter.....

Imagines he is normal when he is anything but.

Has crisis days because he doesn't believe that all things can be for his good and that. his truth can turn anything that appears negative into a raging positive.

Fills her emptiness with trash. She doesn't believe she is worth more.

Has learned to love his ill tempered nature.

Shades the truth when she explains her life.

Drives himself crazy with self defeating thoughts.

Don't follow the example of these millions of crazy people. You don't have too.

Give in to your truth that can make you whole and set you free. It is as easy to do as reading this blog post. Just let go and give in.

Today my group in programming class finished our game that we have spent the past 5 weeks making.

Today my group in programming class finished our game that we have spent the past 5 weeks making. If you've read my previous post about programming then you know a bit about how I view programming. If you haven't then go ahead and look at that. Anyways we completed our game today. (Just a simple 2d side scrolling game with 5 levels) As with anything else I had a great feeling of achievement. I could go into a long story of how we finished our game but I'll just say that with four days left to finish we had very little done. And what could only have been called a miracle we pulled through and completed everything.

The feeling of having not given up and completing the task set before us was amazing. It brought me back to late October. For those who don't know me I love writing and write almost everyday. While I have not gotten anything published I do hope to one day. I've written two novel length stories and the first of which was completed last October. Completing that left me with one of the most amazing feelings. I was finally able to sit back and read a story that was all from me and it was complete.

So what am I getting at anyways? It could be seen as a lot of things. In this I could be telling you to never give up. Or to relish those moments where you feel on top of the world. Or maybe I'm just telling you to never be afraid of what task it is that lies ahead for the reward is much greater.....wait. Let me repeat that.

Fear not the task ahead for the reward is much greater. Sounds familiar doesn't it?

I know I've heard many people say it.

2Ch 15,7 But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

Well what do you know. It's in the Bible too. In the past few weeks I've begun writing my third novel (with hope that I may have the courage to send this off to a publisher). While it is still a very long ways from being finished I have begun to see a theme of sorts expose itself.

As stated before I believe that everyone has a purpose and thus this reigns true with my story. It seems as if the underlying message is turning into one that shows that everyone does truly have a purpose for being in a certain place at a certain moment and that there will be a reward in the end.

I think a lot of people overlook that verse and many verses like it. It's so very simply yet I wonder if many people even think about it often? We are all faced with daily challenges that test our abilities. And yet so many people just give up or give in. They think the mountain is simply too hard to climb. People tend to forget about perseverance.

We've all heard people say. Don't give up. And remain faithful. Here's why giving up is so bad. Yes that means you quit but it's so much more than that.

- Giving up is failing God.

- Giving up is failing yourself.

- Giving up is telling yourself that you CAN'T do it.

- Giving up is keeping you from realizing that not only you could do it but that the challenge was not nearly as hard as you thought.

It's these reasons why we can't just give up. And so with that I think we should make that verse. Verse of the week. Or at least something to remember as you go through your daily life. We a challenge presents itself think long term. Think of the greater reward that is waiting for you.

Click here to check out the most exciting video ever of Brit. It's beyond done folks. If you are going to TMZ every day to see Brit getting her smoothy you might want to rethink why you are on this earth. But in a world where the Associated Press is expanding its celebrity reporting staff by at least 20 in 2008, an election year, maybe we should just give in...

It's kind of funny because when Ronald Reagan, the Republican actor ran for president, celebs weren't yet as important as Brit, Lindsay, and Paris. Yet today, when everyone hates the Republicans and loves Obama, where are our movie star candidates? And as Barry asked, when will the gotcha be? Looking forward to a fun year in the media.

D

P.S. -- The Rolling Stone cover story on Brit was actually really interesting.
