Mechanic Jason Paul Anza was today sentenced to 34 months, with a non-parole period of 17 months, after pleading to numerous charges of indecent dealings with a minor.

Anza had digital and oral sex with the teenager in a car and at a friend's home in October 2006, where they took the girl after he met her on the adult chat website Red Hot Pie.

The girl, who called herself sexy blonde 123, posted her age on the website as 20-years-old.

The court was told Anza had rung the family when he had doubts about the girl's stated age, and had been told by her brother that she was 14. (news)

An American man who was born female but underwent gender reassignment has given birth to a female baby, US media have reported.

Thomas Beatie, 34, is legally male but kept his female reproductive organs after having breast surgery to remove glands and flatten his chest.

Both Mr Beatie and his daughter are reported to be doing well in a hospital in Bend, Oregon.

He was inseminated using sperm from an anonymous donor.

The birth was natural, a source at St Charles Medical Center in Bend told ABC News, and took place on Sunday.

Mr Beatie, who sports a wispy beard, made headlines around the world when he revealed in April that he was pregnant.

He told chat show host Oprah Winfrey it had been his dream to one day have a child.

"I opted not to do anything with my reproductive organs because I wanted to have a child one day," he said.

Mr Beatie grew up in Hawaii as Tracy Lagondin and was a Girl Scout, model and finalist in a teenage beauty pageant.

He began to live as a man when he was in his 20s and officially changed his gender, he told People magazine.

He has been married for five years to his wife, Nancy.

Mr Beatie's obstetrician, Dr Kimberly James, told Oprah Winfrey in April: "This baby is totally healthy. This is what I consider a normal pregnancy."

A MAN has been sentenced to more than 4000 years in prison for sexually assaulting three teenage girls over two years.

A day after finding Texas man James Kevin Pope guilty, jurors today sentenced him to 40 life prison terms - one for each sex assault conviction - and 20 years for each of the three sexual performance of a child convictions.

At the request of prosecutors, state District Judge Graham Quisenberry ordered Pope to serve the sentences consecutively, adding up to 4060 years.

He will be eligible for parole in the year 3209, according to the Parker County District Attorney's Office.

"We believe it was a just result," prosecutor Robert DuBoise said, adding that he was "overwhelmed" with the judge's decision to stack the sentences.

Pope, 43, abused the girls for nearly two years. It came to authorities' attention earlier this year after he made several inappropriate comments to a friend, who notified Child Protective Services.

During the trial, the teens testified about the abuse and their sexually explicit photographs were shown as evidence.

But Rick Alley, Pope's defence lawyer, told jurors in closing arguments that the victims were incapable of understanding what happened.

"If it was as traumatic as they indicate, they would be able to give you (specific dates and times of the incidents). Simply because it's shocking doesn't make it true," Alley said.

During the sentencing phase of the trial, a US Secret Service agent testified that while examining Pope's home computer, he found more than 200 images of child porn.

What a deterring sentence!

This show is a competition reality based show where people are in their every day work atmosphere and suddenly the guy from NSYNC and a woman from the Spice Girls show up. Suddenly these people are put into a singing group with their other colleagues and are now putting together a performance, either being trained by Joey Fatone or Mel B. Hopefully you know which one is the Spice Girl. In any event, the audience votes and at the end, one of the groups is crowned the winner.

I watched this show for the first time and really felt it filled the inspirational space I was hoping to write about at some point. These people really are putting themselves out on the line. We are not watching classically trained singers or even watching a performance that would really knock you out. It is more about the passion behind everyone that participates. You really see the teams work together and they are so into what they are doing. The audience loves it and it's just really a fun event to watch.  You have the security guard who talks about music and is finally getting the chance to sing, the woman who is blind in her left eye yet is learning a dance performance and everyone just looks so happy.

I have always said that as long as you bring some creativity into your life, even if just for five minutes, it will help you feel a bit more fulfilled. It's not about everyone needing to be the best performer. It is just great to watch people come together and do something new, while working together on it. I just loved this show and it was so happy seeing people try something like this. I highly recommend watching it sometime!
