They offer “Gourmet right away” pizza selections and incorporate unusual ingredients such as cashews, marinated artichoke hearts and coconut into their signature pies. In addition to the new Smokin' Sweet BBQ Chicken, Garlic Jim's offers such gourmet pizza options as: Nutty Chipotle™, zesty chipotle pesto topped with spicy sausage, pepperoni, red onions, tomatoes and cashews, Jim's Gourmet Garlic™, basil pesto sauce, marinated artichoke hearts, roasted garlic, red onions, sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese, and Chicken Bacon Ranch, premium chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, red onions and creamy ranch sauce. Rich buttermilk goes into the hand-tossed dough, which is cooled and delivered fresh to each pizza location. Garlic Jim's also uses whole milk mozzarella produced by an Idaho dairy and a custom, freshly packed pizza sauce made from California tomatoes.

"We're right on pace with our goal, to sell 500 locations within five years," said Dwayne Northrop, the company's president and chief executive officer. Plans call for an additional 120 units to be sold in CA, AZ, NV, WA and OR, and opening another 27, for a total of 50 opened units by the end of 2006. In addition, Garlic Jim's recently announced a 70-store sub-franchise agreement throughout Northern New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, with the corporate franchising company Francept, LLC.
