Saat ini, e-mail memang terasa penting. Meski ada SMS e-mail tetap dipilih untuk keperluan yang lebih serius karena mampu menampung lebih banyak kata-kata plus adanya attachment.

PENTINGNYA e-mail yang bisa dibaca di ponsel memunculkan teknologi push­e-mail, yaitu sistem dan aplikasi di mana pemilik ponsel langsung bisa meneri­ma e-mail di manapun tanpa harus menekan menu tertentu. Kini ada penyedia layanan gratis untuk push e-mail seperti itu, yaitu Emoze. Layanan gratis ini bisa digunakan untuk semua jenis ponsel, asalkan men­dukung koneksi data (GPRS/3G).

Selain koneksi GPRS/3G/WiFi baik GSM/CDMA, syarat lain adalah adanya sistem e-mail yang mendukung POP3. E-mail bisa berada di server e-mail perusahaan (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes Domino), atau di e-mail gratisan yang rrlendukung POP3 seperti Hotmail, Yahoo! dan Gmail. 2. Lanjutkan dengan memilih merek ponsel (Vendor), tersedia 46 merek utama dunia yang bisa menggunakan Emoze. Lalu pilih tipe ponsel (Device) yang sesuai, dan klik Submit.

3. Maka akan muncul tiga pilihan download aplikasi, yaitu Download lewat PC, Instalasi lewat SMS atau instalasi via WAP browser. Pilih yang Anda inginkan, misalnya PC Download.

4. Lanjutkan dengan download file

emoze_s60_ 70s.sis ke komputer, lalu instal file tersebut di memori internal ponsel (bukan di kartu memori tambahan).

5. Aktifkan Emoze di ponsel, dan pilih opera­tor seluler yang digunakan untuk akses internet, lalu Next. )

6. Lalu pilih apakah push e-mail tersebut dikirim lewat server (yang harus selalu hidup), atau e-mail dikirim lewat server Emoze Global Gateway.

7. Maka server Emoze siap mengirim semua e-mail, jadwal calendar dan con­tacts, ke ponsel Anda. Pilih asal e-mail, apakah dari e-mail di Gmail atau di Outlook Web Access (di server). Masukkan pula Gmail username dan password-nya.

8. Tunggu proses koneksi dilakukan ke server e-mail Gmail, dengan tahapan Creating connection, Initializing push, dan cek data­basenya, hingga muncul pesan Connected. Maka Emoze akan mengecek apakah ada e-mail baru yang sampai di Gmail. Misalnya ada 3 e-mail yang masuk, maka akan muncul pesan "3 new item(s) received".

9. Sejak itu, koneksi ke internet via GPRS untuk cek e-mail akan langsung dilakukan (tidak akan ditanyakan lagi). Jika dilihat di Connection Manager akan terlihat besarnya data yang lewat.

10. Lanjutkan dengan melakukan pengaturan, yaitu di Options>Settings>Rules>Inbox untuk mengatur e-mail yang masuk. Selain itu, di begian ini ada pengaturan untuk Calendar, Contacts, Drafts, dan Outbox.

11. Atur umur e-mail yang disinkronisasi (E-mail sync), e-mail yang didownload (Inbox) apakah hanya yang belum dibaca (Unread e-mails only) atau semua e-mail (Read & Unread).

12. Atur pula besarnya attachment yang boleh dikirim ke ponsel (Attachment size), mulai dari 0 hingga 300KB. Atur pula potongan panjang e-mail, yaitu jika lebih dari 8000 karakter, lebih dari 5000 karak­ter atau e-mail tidak dipotong sama sekali.

13. Lanjutkan dengan pengaturan lain, yaitu Delete Policy (hanya di ponsel atau juga di server), waktu penghapusan (2 hingga 1 minggu), dan jumlah e-mail yang disisakan (50 - 1000).

14. Jika perlu, lakukan pengaturan di bagian Calendar, yaitu untuk menunjukkan jadwal kegiatan minggu lalu dan jadwal kegiatan 1-6 bulan berikutnya.

15. Aktifkan pencatat aktifitas di bagian Advanced >General>Log file>Enabled. Sedangkan Reset berguna untuk mengha­pus semua data sinkronisasi yang telah dibuat, misalnya jika berganti alamat e-mail. E-mail dan password bisa yang dibuat sebagai push-e-mail diganti di bagian Options>Login. Pastikan di bagian Connections>Auto Start>Yes, agar Emoze selalu aktif secara otomatis.

16. Di bagian Options >Accounts>Select, Anda bisa mengatur data yang ingin dikirim ke ponsel (Calendar, Contacts, Drafts, dan E-mail/Inbox). Anda juga bisa mengatur hari apa saja e-mail boleh dikirim ke ponsel mulai dari Senin - Minggu. E-mail juga bisa diatur apakah akan selalu terkirim ke ponsel, atau selang durasi waktu tertentu ( 15 menit-24 jam).

17. Untuk mulai koneksi ke Gmail, pilih Sign in. Tunggu sampai proses koneksi selesai dan terlihat berapa e-mail yang dikirim ke ponsel, misalnya "9 new item(s) received". Connected." Data-data koneksi yang dilakukan terakhir akan tercatat, dan bisa dilihat di Options>Log.

18. E-mail yang masuk akan terlihat dengan tanda @ di depannya, dan ada di Inbox bercampur den­

gan SMS biasa.

There are some distinct advantages of LCD panels over other kinds of display technologies. They are slimmer and hardly go beyond 3.5`` in depth. There are drawbacks of course - viewing angle is restricted, contrast ratio is limited and time of display response may cause concern. The biggest frown of all is caused by the price. Although it is falling but still it is considerably higher than its plasma counterpart.

LCD displays comprises mainly of sheets of polarized glass sheets - two in number. A liquid crystal solution is sandwiched between these. These liquid crystals are very specific that causes them to act as shutters that open or shut out entry of light as the need arises depending upon flow of electric current. This current passing through the liquid crystals is regulated by voltage that is applied between the glass sheets through the electrodes that are transparent. These form a network having rows on one direction of the panel and columns on the other side representing the pixels or picture elements.

What are these liquid crystals? Matter can be found in three states - solid, liquid and gas. Nevertheless there are substances that exist in a state that is neither liquid nor solid at any one point of time. The behaviour of these molecules is also peculiar. They keep to their orientation like those in a solid and yet they shuffle around taking up various positions like the molecules of a liquid. Thus these liquid crystals can be termed neither solid nor liquid though they have more of an affinity for the latter - that is the liquid state.

Anyway, in the last few weeks Optus changed the feed to include the so called ‘Fusion’ data.  I have now finally had a chance to update the gadget to include functionality for the Fusion plans.

This release contains the following changes:

Full support for Fusion plans including:

• Uploads are added to the total usage
• Display of both MB and % on the gadget
• Change the flyout for Fusion users to only display relevant Fusion information

In addition, the following changes have been made:

• Checks every 15 minutes now, instead of 30
• Timeout handling has been improved
• Better offline network handling / detection
• Improved update functionality

As always, the gadget is available from the Live Gallery, or existing users keep an eye out for a update message in the flyout.

Finally, the gadget now includes a Donation button on the settings page. I don’t get paid to write gadgets, I already have a very demanding job and loving family to sink my time into. If you use the gadget and like it, please consider donating.

Seit dem 3. Juli gibt es jetzt auch eine deutsche Version des Männerspielzeug-Portals. Bleibt abzuwarten, ob sie sich damit gegen die Englische-Version durchsetzen können. An deren Stil hab ich mich ja schon gut gewöhnt und der ist nicht unbedingt leicht direkt ins Deutsche zu retten. Am Besten wäre es wohl einen eigenen, originellen Stil zu finden - wobei da Engadget.com schon ein gutes Vorbild ist. Mal sehen - werde in der nächsten Zeit beides mal ansurfen, aber das englische Original hab ich eigentlich doch recht lieb gewonnen.

Also, was tun?! Ab in die City und nach Alternativen suchen um mich abzulenken - dachte dabei an etwas neues für meine DSLR-Kamera (D80) - oder eine Möglichkeit schnell und einfach Internet zu haben (idealerweise überall).

Nach dem ich feststellen musste das der Fachhandel für Photographie sich den Service sehr gut bezahlen lässt, fiel neues Kamera-Zubehör schon mal weg! :(

Also rein bei E-Plus (Base) und nach einer UMTS-Flat gefragt... Das war keine gute Idee wie ich feststellte! Der Verkäufer wirkte auf mich wie die türkische Version eines Bandmitglieds von "Tokyo Hotel". Sein Sachverstand entsprach aber eher dem von "Keith Richards" nach zwei Flaschen Bourbon.

Nach drei adäquaten Antworten, verließ ich den E-Plus Laden enttäuscht! Aber was sehen meine Augen gegenüber - Eine 1,40 meter große Statur des Iphones. - "Excalibur"

Also rüber zu T-Com und das Dingen ausprobiert. Der Verkäufer sieht das glänzen in meinen Augen und fängt direkt an mich voll zu labern! - Ich ignoriere Ihn - Aber er lässt nicht locker... Na dann vertreiben wir ihn eben mit ein paar Fragen!

Ich: "Wie ist das mit der Bandbreiten Begrenzung?" Er: "Davon wurde bisher noch kein Gebrauch gemacht!" Ich:"Weil man das bei EDGE nicht kann?" Er: "Nein, weil nur die Bandbreite begrenzt wird, wenn zuviel Leute gleichzeitig surfen." Ich: "Ah so! Also nicht wie im kleingedruckten steht, das nach 1GB sie mir den Saft abdrehen." - Was ein Depp!

Na egal! Ich bin verliebt... Und habe beschlossen mir das Iphone 3G am 11. Juli im Shop zu holen. Noch schnell in den Vodafon-Shop und meinen Vertrag gekündigt bzw. für die Restlaufzeit auf 12,- € Grundgebühr runtergestuft.

Könnte nicht schon der 11. sein?!

Nur so nebenbei! Wenn ihr was wisst, wie meine meine Freundin in Köln einfach und kostengünstig Internet bekommen kann, wäre ich euch sehr dankbar für ein paar Tipps!!!

Oh sedikit saya mau memberikan ulasan dalam buku ini, buku ini berisi 5 bab mengenai freeware-freeware meliputi freeware untuk keamanan komputer, program utiliti utama, program produktivitas ( untuk pekerjaan sehari-hari begitu, contohnya office, dtp, pengolah grafis dll), terus aplikasi multimedia dan program utiliti tambahan. All abou freeware lah.

Untuk harga, terjangkau untuk buku yang kira kira 100 halaman dan isinya padat banget, maksudnya iklan sedikit. Dan lagi ini buku full color. Dan lagi gratis cd. hoho sangat keren sekali. Eh Sepertinya saya terlalu bertele tele, harga yang tepampang di depan buku Rp. 24.800.Tapi saya beli dapat diskon 10% di toko langanan baru saya. Ternyata di dekat smp 2 ada toko fotokopi dan buku toh.

Ok segitu saja. Buku ini saya rekomendasikan untuk kamu.

Je vous pose une question : Etes vous intéressés par l'achat d'un netbook ?

Pour vous aider à répondre je veux apporter quelques précisions.

Que remplace un netbook ?

La réponse est simple : rien. Le marché du miniPC/netbook est une nouvelle "niche" nécouverte par Asus et son eeePC il y a un an. Un netbook se place entre un téléphone portable puissant et rapide sur le net, et un PC portable.

Il est destiné aux aficionados d'internet qui n'osent pas/ne peuvent pas surfer sur leur téléphone mais pour qui l'ordnateur portable est encombrant.

Il sert d'ordinateur d'apoint à ceux qui n'ont qu'un PC de burreau ou un portable plus transportable que portable.

Mais surtout, ce qui, à mon avis, est sa principale raison d'achat : c'est un ordinateur sans fioritures pour un prix sans fuiritures ! Un jeune, une personne sans trop de budget, ou une personne qui ne veut pas trop dépenser pour simplement accéder à internet, trouvera dans un netbook tout ce dont il a besoin.

Combien d'entre nous font du montage vidéo ? du jeu ? du jeu 3D ? du graphisme ? du ... CS3 ? 10% peut être!

Combien de ces 10% pourraient s'en passer en déplacement ? 100%

C'est à partir de ce constat que je crois en ces netbooks. Si vous lisez des blogs, vous devez donc passer plusieurs heures sur internet par jour. Mais il est fort probable que vous aimiez faire autre chose sur votre PC, quelque chose de cité ci dessus. Mais si vous aimez, c'est que vous avez déja un PC pour le faire ! Et si vous avez lu cet article jusque ici, vous vous intéressez aux netbooks !

Beaucoup de points d'exclamation et de "si" pour vous dire qu'un netbook a une utilité incroyable et insoupsonnée. Il est parfait pour surfer sur internet, regarder des vidéos, écouter de la musique et faire de la bureautique. Alors si vous voulez profiter d'internet au bord de la mer, sur votre balcon ou en pique nique, optez pour un netbook.

Je n'ai pas de netbook mais je suis vraiment emballé par ce concept. Je ne suis pas revendeur ^^ mais j'en fais l'éloge. Un éloge sûrement trop poussée mais c'est l'attrait pour l'inconnu, le neuf. Si j'en achète un demain, je vous écrirai peut être que c'est nul, voir à chier, mais je pense plutôt que vous lirez encore quelques articles de ma part pour vous dire qu'il est génial.

Apple has reduced the Solid State Drive (SSD) option on the MacBook Air from US$999 to US$599 just in time for holiday shopping. Studies have shown that current SSD drives save only a little on battery power and improve only a little on various read/write functions. Even so, the removing the HDD gets the last moving part out of a notebook computer -- something that will appeal to many customers.

In addition, for those who want to upgrade to the 1.8 GHz model, that option will now cost US$100 less. Combined, that's a reduction of $500. Happy holiday shopping to all.

Making a mixed tape for someone you fancied was my generations version of writing poetry or a love letter. Not only did we focus on selecting just the right tracks to include and try to time it to the second, we also focused hours of creative energy in illustrating the mix tape cover with heart felt doodles and clever visual references. When the burnable CD took over the scene, the mixed tape as a way of expressing oneself to another lost a little of its charm. Now with everything going digital, all of the charm has been lost to cyberspace, until now. Warum sich also nicht schon heute den Kopf darüber zerbrechen?

Ein eigenes, kleines Gadget für den USB Anschluß, das wäre es doch. Die ständigen Ausflüge zu Engadget und Gizmodo haben offensichtlich ihre Spuren hinterlassen.

Kommen wir damit ohne große Umschweife gleich zum fabulösen, extrem nerdigen IQ-Atrophie USB-Gadget, das kürzlich meinen wirren Denkprozessen entsprungen ist.

Unverkennbar ein graues Gehirn, dessen obere Hälfte sich abnehmen lässt. Eingebettet in der unteren, stationären Hälfte befindet sich, ähnlich den Scherzhundehaufen, ein formschönes Exemplar menschlicher Darmausscheidungen.

Die Gesamtkonstruktion ist zweifellos ein Tribut an das geflügelte Sprichwort Scheiße im Hirn haben bzw. dir haben sie doch ins Gehirn geschissen.

Ideal wäre es, wenn das Exkrementimitat aus brauner Wachsmalkreide hergestellt ist. Damit könnte man hübsche, braune Streifen hinterlassen und mit viel Fantasie sogar Notizen zu Papier bringen. Was für ein Spaß. ;)

Ein zusätzlicher Bonus ist der in der unteren Gehirnhälfte verbaute Flashspeicher. Per USB an den PC angeschlossen, könnte man dort wichtige Daten auslagern. Mir gefällt der Gedanke, bei Platzmangel auf dem Rechner einfach ein Gehirn anzuschließen.

Noch dazu ist unser Gehirn ja so etwas wie ein Speichermedium. Da liegt dieser Gedanke nahe.

So soll es aussehen. Jetzt fehlt nur noch jemand, der das Ding produziert, das ganze unternehmerische Risiko trägt, und mich am Verkaufserlös beteiligt. :lol:
