Dinner Photos With My Dear Fuji Finepix F31.

I finally had my fixed up Fuji Finepix F31 camera delivered to my place this evening! :) And I just had to use it to snap away at my dinner. I was so close to kissing my camera, heh.

A huge bowl of carrot, potato & onion soup in our pressure cooker plus my mum's hand. :)

Sesame chicken, stir-fried with ginger and spring onions.

Prawns and onions in a super spicy sweet and sour sauce. It was my favourite dish tonight.

Dinner isn't complete without a vegetable dish. Spinich with chilli-padi.

:D I am so happy I got back my fabulous camera.

The Only Time I've Use Betty Crocker Cake Mix.

Call me a person that's full of pride, it doesn't matter. I simply refuse to use even Betty Crocker's delicious cake mix when baking. The only time I've used it is when I had to bake numerous cupcakes for my friend's birthday. It'll simply take too much time to bake large batches of cupcakes in my tiny oven.

Nothing really beats measuring the correct amount of ingredients and mixing things up using different methods. Nothing really beats seeing the end product of my very own creation come to life, knowing full well that every credit goes to me.

I'm pretty sure I ain't the only baker around who feels this way! :)

p/s: My camera lens broke today (Fuji Finepix F31) :( It isn't worth getting it repaired. Any camera (similar to the amazing F31 specifications) to recommend?

Housing developments with exotic names are springing up all over Gauteng province. This one is near Modderfontein, site of AECI's chemical plant, and from some sections of the development, you also get a splendid view of the huge Isando Power Station.

Made this shot at the same abandoned and derelict hotel in Watervalonder as the shots a few posts down called Once There Was Joy Here and Kitchen Confidential. This is was inn the "gardens" looking towards the buildings and the "stoep", or terrace.

I spotted these bins standing in their serried ranks a few metres from my "day job" and thought they's make a fun pic. This certainly isn't meant as a comment on our supposedly throw-away, consumer-oriented society.
