We've all noticed the growth since 2006, but now the U.S. Census confirms it! Clarksville is the 10th fastest growing metropolitan area.

The Soldiers and their families moving in to Fort Campbell and Retirees coming back to be closer to family helped Clarksville beat out even the booming towns of the Nashville metropolitan area (Nashville placed 42nd). Being so close to Nashville, with just a 40 minute commute, has also helped the city grow.

The rise in population has stimulated the economic development for the city. The $250 million Gateway Medical Center is set to open this summer and there are other projects in the works for the city.
