For Nigeria, it is obvious that alot are still not ready for the change that is inevitable. International brand names exhibited at the event include Canon, Asus, Gigabyte, Samsung, Intel, Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Hitachi, LG, Fujifilm, JVC, Acer, Olympus, Brother, and AOC.

Information technology spending this year estimated at about 2 billion USD (including hardware, software and services), up 15 percent on last year.

Between now and 2010, the number of digital products used in the country is expected to increase by more than 10 percent, and the growth rate in the audio and video products by 5 to 6 percent, according to a forecast by the Vietnam Electronic Industries Association.

Patrick J Mc Govern, founder and chairman of IDG, said Vietnam’s IT market, one of the fastest growing in the world, is developing rapidly and expected to expand by 20-21 percent this year.

“In the past, producers introduced their products elsewhere and later sold them in Vietnam . Now we have a leading company like Intel introducing their latest technologies and products here,” said Govern.

At last, I've managed to get some sheep pics. I've been meaning to for ages. So as it happened, yesterday I had to take a drive in the countryside.

As I drove into this tiny village, I remembered one small farm that had nearly every farm animal you could think of. I'd seen camels and donkeys there before, and that was what I was really interested in. But seeing I couldn't see any of those, I had to settle for the sheep and cow, and a horse or two in the background.

Where I live, we have mostly cattle, so sheep are a special treat for us. So I am very pleased, even though I missed out on the camels. They'll have to wait another day.

Some days ago, after the update from Firefox 3.0 to the 3.0.1 version I completely lost my favorite browser. I have not already solved the problem so I installed Flock but I was not able to find a Flock icon with a transparent background to insert on the AWN dock. So I decide to create a 48x48 icon using a common Flock icon with a white background. For this purpose I used KIconEdit (version 3.5.9 - Ubuntu version) and in just five minutes I solved my problem. The result is not perfect but acceptable so I decided to share it with all you. I hope it would be useful to someone. Enjoy it!
