Net zoals het merendeel van de studenten geniet ik nu van een welverdiende vakantie.
Of ja..vakantie

Johnny Depp legt zoals altijd een geweldige acteerprestatie neer met enkele geweldige oneliners ( "Everything in this room is eatable, even *I'm* eatable! But that is called "cannibalism," my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies."). De Oompa Loompa's vond ik minder geweldig, de latex pakjes vond ik toch minder leuk dan de originele verfilming van 1971.

27 Dresses: Een chickflick met enkele grappige scenes. Niet meer en niet minder. Katherine Heigl in onmogelijk lelijke bruidsmeisjesjurken.

EMRISE's Subsidiary, CXR Larus Corporation, Receives Vital CE Certification for Its StarClock(TM) TiemPo Next Generation Network Timing System
Tuesday July 24, 8:45 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE ARCA:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that its subsidiary, CXR Larus Corporation ("CXR Larus"), has received CE certification for its new StarClock(TM) TiemPo next generation network timing system ("TiemPo"). The CE certification and product marking is a mandatory European certification for certain product groups to indicate conformity with essential health and safety and electro-magnetic emissions requirements set out in European Union directives. This certification allows CXR Larus to freely offer for sale the TiemPo line of products into the European community and additionally on a worldwide basis. The TiemPo will be sold and distributed in Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA") through EMRISE's subsidiary CXR Anderson Jacobson ("CXR-AJ") located in Abondant, France.
CXR Larus produces a range of telecommunications products including network timing and synchronization equipment such as the TiemPo, network access and LAN extension products and test equipment for both public carriers and private telecommunications networks on a worldwide basis.

Carmine T. Oliva, Chairman, President and CEO, remarked: "Development of the TiemPo product has been a major investment for the corporation. It is our first truly international timing product designed to meet not only U.S. but also European and other world performance standards. Our new StarClock(TM) TiemPo timing system manufactured for us by Hitachi OMD in the U.S. is our primary communications equipment growth driver for 2007 and beyond. Receiving the CE certification now opens the EMEA market for our TiemPo product. The TiemPo solution is a highly competitive product on both price and features and we expect it to contribute to improved gross margins in the future. It is conveniently scalable and is in a desirable compact physical size compared to the competition. Above all, it allows our customers to move seamlessly from traditional circuit switched networks to packet based networks without having to upgrade or alter its infrastructure." He added, "The CE certification validates the quality and technology employed in the design of the TiemPo and now positions the company to market our products on a worldwide basis."

EMRISE's Subsidiary, Pascall Electronics Ltd., Receives Power Supply Order Totaling $850,000 for a Military Avionic Application
Thursday July 19, 8:45 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense, aerospace and industrial electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that its UK subsidiary, Pascall Electronics Ltd. ("Pascall") has received an initial order from an international aerospace systems manufacturer. The order, totaling $850,000, includes the design and prototypes for a military avionic application. The initial contract is expected to be completed by year end 2007 with the expectation that the customer program will be qualified and in production in 2008 thereby providing the opportunity for Pascall to obtain future production orders.
Commenting on the order, EMRISE Chairman, President and CEO, Carmine T. Oliva, stated: "While Pascall continues to build backlog with a number of million dollar commercial aircraft contracts, especially for 'In-flight Entertainment and Communications' products, announced over the past six months, their military business and that of our XCEL Power Systems Ltd. subsidiary continues to build. Both of these business units will be major contributors to the 18% organic growth we expect to achieve in 2007 totaling $55 million in revenues as compared to the $46.4 million achieved in 2006."

He stated further: "In our press release dated July 17, 2007 regarding follow-on orders received by our French subsidiary, CXR Anderson Jacobson, for multi-service multiplexers for a European electric utility, the total of all orders received from this customer and related timing of delivery of August 2007 was correct. However, the follow-on order announced on July 17, 2007 merely re-confirmed the $900,000 in orders previously announced on June 26, 2007 and increased that by approximately $200,000 bringing the total, including the original order announced on November 10, 2006, to a total of $1.5 million."

EMRISE's Subsidiary, EMRISE Electronics Corporation, Receives Initial Distributor Stocking Orders Launching Worldwide Distribution Program for Very Low Profile (VLP(R)) Rotary Switches
Thursday July 12, 8:45 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense, aerospace and industrial electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, EMRISE Electronics Corporation ("EEC"), has received its initial stocking orders from Powell Electronics, Inc for EEC's patented Digitran brand of standard VLP® Rotary Switches, thereby launching a worldwide distribution program for this unique new standard family of very low profile rotary switches.
Commenting on the launch, EMRISE Chairman, President and CEO, Carmine T. Oliva, said, "We are very pleased to receive initial stocking orders from the first of five major targeted domestic and international distributors for our patented and revolutionary standard VLP® Rotary Switches. EEC's business model calls for exclusively retaining traditional custom rotary switches for aerospace and military applications. This traditionally high margin business will now be complemented by the launch of these new standard products into worldwide distribution channels, thereby extending EEC's penetration into the much higher volume and broader industrial, medical and portable equipment markets. These markets especially require the small size, high reliability and other features of our new standard products. Unlike the longer development life cycle for aerospace and military switches, these new standard products, with a more rapid life cycle from development phase to production, lend themselves to a distribution supply chain that can absorb demand fluctuations in these new markets while giving EEC manufacturing operations consistent and increasing production volumes."

About Powell Electronics, Inc

Powell Electronics, Inc is a New Jersey based ISO9001:2000, AS9100, qualified distribution supplier of numerous premier connector and switch manufacturers including among others Amphenol, Airborn, EEC/Digitran, Glenair, Honeywell, Litton Winchester, and Tyco's Raychem products. Powell has been in business for over 60 years and is ranked among the worlds largest value added connector and switch distributors.

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense, aerospace and industrial electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced its French subsidiary CXR Anderson Jacobson ("CXR-AJ") has received orders for immediate delivery totaling approximately $400,000 for network access equipment for an Algerian customer. This is one of the largest orders received to date by EMRISE from any North African country.
Carmine T. Oliva, Chairman, President and CEO of EMRISE, commented: "CXR-AJ has targeted five of the ten French speaking North African countries as potential sales opportunities. These include Algeria, Cameroon, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia. We established a combined sales objective of $1.5 million for these markets in 2007. While we were encouraged by our early success with smaller orders in these markets in early 2007, this is the single largest order to date in that market. With orders such as this one, we now see the potential for even more business in these countries in the future. This Algerian order alone represents nearly one third of our total 2007 sales objective of $1.5 million for this market. Developments such as this continue to build our confidence in our ability to meet our 2007 global sales objective of $55M which represents 18% organic growth over 2006."

This award is issued annually to those few companies in the Raytheon supply chain that have demonstrated exceptional performance during 2006. Recipients are selected for "consistent quality of services, on-time delivery, dedication to safety and investment in process-improvement initiatives."
According to William J. Thursday June 14, 8:45 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense, aerospace and industrial electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that its French subsidiary, CXR Anderson Jacobson ("CXR-AJ"), has received multiple orders totaling $400,000 for network access products for the French military for immediate delivery. This is an early resumption of continuing orders which we feared would be seriously delayed due to the French elections.

Carmine T. Oliva Chairman, President and CEO of EMRISE Corporation stated: "Our experience in France with previous French elections has created an expectation that publicly funded and especially military programs could be delayed prior to and after national elections. However, that does not appear to be the case this time - we were pleasantly surprised to get the orders we did so soon after the elections. With the receipt of the first $400,000 in orders so soon after the elections, we feel even more optimistic about our possibilities for military shipments for 2007 in France. We have forecasted approximately $2.5 million for military related shipments of network access products in France during 2007, which now appears to be very achievable. This is an important component of our total forecasted revenue of $55 million given as guidance at our annual stockholders meeting held in December 2006. Our forecast of $55 million in revenue represents an approximate 18% organic growth rate over 2006 revenue of $46.4 million."

EMRISE's New StarClock(TM) Tiempo Added to Master Approved Vendor List of a Large U.S.-Based International Systems Integrator
Tuesday June 12, 8:45 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE ARCA:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that a large U.S.-based international communications equipment systems integrator has added CXR Larus' new StarClock(TM) Tiempo product to its master approved vendor list ("MAVL"). The StarClock(TM) Tiempo is the only edge network timing and synchronization product on this systems integrator's MAVL.
CXR Larus, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMRISE Corporation, produces a range of telecommunications products including network timing and synchronization, network access and LAN extension products and test equipment for both public carrier and private telecommunications networks for customers on a worldwide basis.

Carmine T. Oliva, Chairman, President and CEO, remarked: "This large international communications systems integrator has been a long-standing customer of CXR Larus for other non-edge network timing and synchronization products along with other network access products. We believe that the addition of our new StarClock(TM) Tiempo to the MAVL will provide CXR Larus the opportunity to broaden its reach into the integrator's customers and the opportunity for continued growth in revenues through this customer. In addition, we believe that including our product on the MAVL will allow us to more easily pursue other large international systems integrators as a major focus of our sales and marketing strategy for our timing products." Mr. Oliva continued: "This marketing focus on large international systems integrators will be complemented by the additional focus on the electric utility market as previously described in our June 5, 2007 press release. We now have a major customer in both markets which we believe will make it easier for us to attract other customers in these markets. Unfortunately, our June 5th press release inadvertently identified our electric utility customer as the Western Area Power Administration ("WAPA"), which is an agency of the U.S. Department of Energy. WAPA markets and delivers hydroelectric power and related services to electric utilities within a 15 state region located in the Central and Western U.S. In fact, our customer is one of the largest electric generation and transmission utility cooperatives located in the 15 state region covered by WAPA. Our contract with this electric utility customer, also allows other electric utility customers of WAPA to procure products from CXR Larus."

With the exception of historical information, the matters discussed in this press release are forward-looking statements that involve a number of risks and uncertainties including the belief that the addition of the StarClock(TM) Tiempo to the MAVL will broaden CXR Larus' reach into the systems integrator's customers, that there exists an opportunity for continued growth in revenues through this customer, that inclusion on the MAVL will allow CXR Larus to more easily pursue other large international systems integrators and that by having a major customer in both the international systems integrator and electric utility markets will make it easier for CXR Larus to attract other customers in these markets. The actual future results of EMRISE CORPORATION could differ from those statements. Tuesday June 5, 8:45 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE ARCA:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that its subsidiary, CXR Larus Corporation, has won a contract with the Western Area Power Administration ("WAPA"), one of the largest electric generation and transmission cooperatives in the United States to supply its next generation network (NGN) timing system, StarClock(TM) TiemPo, for the WAPA's internal communications and control systems. The terms of the contract also allow other energy co-ops that are customers of the WAPA to procure products from CXR Larus. The WAPA is an agency of the U.S. Department of Energy that markets and delivers reliable, cost-based hydroelectric power and related services within a 15 state region in the Central and Western U.S.

CXR Larus produces a diverse range of telecommunications products including network timing and synchronization equipment, network access and LAN extension products and test equipment for both public carriers and private telecommunications networks on a worldwide basis.

Carmine T. Oliva, Chairman, President and CEO, remarked: "Our new StarClock(TM) TiemPo timing system is one of our primary growth drivers for 2007 and beyond. Winning this contract is particularly significant and validates our investment in design engineering during 2006 to develop our NGN solution. This solution allows our customers to make the flexible move from traditional circuit switched networks to timing over packet and provides the additional control capabilities needed by the power companies. This solution is provided in a highly scalable and compact physical size." He added, "This initial contract from a major electric utility also confirms our belief that other utility companies may become a specialty growth market segment for our new timing solutions and other of our network access products."

Wednesday May 16, 8:45 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE ARCA:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that one of its subsidiaries, Pascall Electronics Ltd., has received orders from a U.S. military program for power supplies worth in excess of $1.2 million for delivery throughout 2008.
Pascall produces a range of power supply products for military and commercial aerospace applications. Pascall's power supply products are known for their small size and high output.

Commenting on the order, Carmine T. Oliva, Chairman, President and CEO, said: "Military projects remain a core strategic market for EMRISE, even while we focus our attention on what we see as the higher growth prospects of commercial in-flight entertainment and communications. This particular order comes as a result of our investment in design engineering to produce a more compact solution than those of our competitors." He added, "We have had a long-term relationship with this U.S. customer spanning many years, and this order, coming as it does from a new military program, will further expand that relationship and hopefully lead to additional future orders. This order marks the fourth order in four months this year at or above $1 million. This is an historic achievement for us which we believe bodes well for our organic growth in 2007."

EMRISE CORPORATION Announces First Quarter 2007 Results
Tuesday May 15, 8:00 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense, aerospace and industrial electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced its first quarter 2007 financial results.
For the three months ended March 31, 2007, EMRISE recorded record net sales of $11.9 million, an increase of $1.2 million, or 11%, over the $10.7 million reported for the first quarter of 2006. The increase mainly resulted from a $1.7 million, or 39%, increase in net sales of power supplies, primarily for military applications, and a $464,000, or 24%, increase in net sales of network access equipment. These increases were partially offset by a $570,000, or 43%, decrease in net sales of radio frequency ("RF") devices, primarily due to delays in receipt of expected orders, which have subsequently been received and are planned to ship in the second quarter of 2007. Finally, the Company's Digitran division experienced a $260,000, or 14%, decrease in net sales of switches due to delayed receipt of expected year-end 2006 orders from two of the Division's largest customers. Some of these orders for Digitran have been received. The balance of orders is anticipated to be received in the second quarter for shipment in the second and third quarters of 2007.

Gross profit decreased by $540,000, or 12%, to $3.9 million for the first three months of 2007 from $4.4 million in the prior year period. Within the Company's electronic devices segment, gross profit decreased by $440,000, mainly due to reductions in gross profit of $340,000, or 35%, for Digitran switches due to the delayed shipments of certain high margin product as discussed above. In addition, the Company's RO Associates Incorporated ("RO") subsidiary's gross profit on power supply products decreased $260,000, or 67%, due to temporary supply chain disruption issues associated with RO's move to the Company's CXR Larus facility in San Jose, California, and also due to the inclusion of $100,000 of one-time royalty income in the prior year period, which royalty income had unusually high gross profit. These decreases were partially offset by $140,000 of increased gross profit at the Company's U.K.-based power supply operations. Gross profit for the communications equipment segment decreased by $100,000, or 7%, to $1.2 million as compared to $1.3 million in the first quarter of 2006 due to a $350,000 decrease in gross profit due to lower sales of high margin, end-of-life test equipment, partially offset by a $250,000 increase in gross profit for the Company's France-based network access products due to higher margin military sales.

Selling, general and administrative ("SG&A") expenses remained relatively unchanged at $3.7 million during the first quarter of 2007 compared to the first quarter of 2006, but declined as a percentage of net sales from 35% for the first quarter of 2006 to 31% for the first quarter of 2007. However, included within SG&A for the first quarter of 2007 is approximately $240,000 of additional audit fees, compared to the first quarter of 2006, due to cost overruns associated with the 2006 audit and the 2006 quarterly auditor reviews being performed in the first quarter of 2007 due to the reaudit of our 2003, 2004 and 2005 financials. Legal fees also increased during the same period by approximately $50,000, also primarily due to financial reaudit related matters.

EMRISE recorded a net loss of $792,000 for the first quarter of 2007, as compared to a net loss of $322,000 for the first quarter of 2006. Basic and diluted loss per share for the first quarter of 2007 was $0.02 based upon 38.1 million basic and diluted shares outstanding. For the same period in 2006, basic and diluted earnings per share showed a loss of $0.01 based on 37.7 million basic and diluted shares outstanding.

EMRISE's backlog increased 11%, to $23.4 million as of March 31, 2007 from $22.1 million as of March 31, 2006. EMRISE's cash position was $3.3 million as of March 31, 2007 compared to $3.8 million and $2.7 million at December 31, 2006 and March 31, 2006, respectively.

EMRISE's Chairman, President and CEO, Carmine T. Oliva, said, "We are pleased to have achieved record sales of $11.9 million in the first quarter of 2007. We achieved this organic growth primarily from increased sales of electronic power supplies for our historical core military market. We were able to achieve top line growth even though our sales were negatively affected by delayed shipments of switch products to two of our largest switch customers. Some delayed orders ultimately were received, but not in time to ship during the first quarter of 2007. We anticipate receiving the remaining orders later in the second quarter for shipment during the second and third quarters of this year. Our first quarter 2007 backlog exceeded our first quarter 2006 backlog, and we expect this growth trend to continue throughout the remainder of this year."

Mr. Oliva added, "It is unfortunate that our results for the first quarter of 2007 were negatively affected by the costs of the reaudit, but we are pleased that the reaudit process was ultimately completed during the first quarter of 2007. Regarding gross profit and earnings, Mr. Oliva commented, "The decline in our gross profit partially reflects a planned shift in product mix from higher margin lower growth military products to lower margin higher growth commercial products. We believe this shift to commercial products will allow us to more rapidly grow our top line organically and ultimately should result in higher gross profit and improved profitability."

Thursday May 10, 8:45 am ET

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE ARCA:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that one of its subsidiaries, Pascall Electronics Ltd. ("Pascall"), has received a follow-on order worth in excess of $1 million for its range of In-Flight Entertainment & Communications ("IFE & C") products. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2007 and are planned to be completed by year-end 2007.

Pascall provides a range of power systems, radio frequency (RF) devices and integrated communications subsystems for multimedia IFE & C systems for video-on-demand and GSM communications for retro-fit and new build commercial aircraft.

Commenting on the follow-on order, Carmine T. Oliva, Chairman, President and CEO, said: "The military and commercial aerospace market is the core market for our range of electronic devices. This is the third order we received in excess of $1 million for In-flight Entertainment and Communication products in the last four months. We have also received smaller orders for similar products that are contributing to growth in our backlog in the second quarter and are expected to contribute to growth in our shipments in the third and fourth quarters of 2007. While military avionics has historically been our dominant core business, commercial avionics is rapidly reaching parity. We believe newer multimedia entertainment and communications systems on commercial aircraft will be the primary growth driver for EMRISE's electronics devices business segment in 2007 and beyond."
