Hoffen wir mal das es im Finale genauso gut läuft

I just finished watching SYTYCD2 (Malaysia) on TV and boy, what a great show it was! As I expected, the top 4 for the Grand Finale next week are Black, Hong, CC and Sim. Although Sly and Jojo are great dancers too, but this is a competition and a couple must be eliminated weekly.

I can't wait to watch who will win in the Grand Finale next week. Last year I missed the LIVE show of the Grand Finale as I was travelling. And looks like, I'm gonna missed next week's Grand Finale too! :-( What a coincidence as I'll be travelling again this time too! For those who don't know the new date/time of next week's Grand Finale, it will be on Friday, 8.30pm Malaysian Time at the Ruums, KL or catch it Live on 8TV. On the usual slot on Thursday, there will be a segment to get-to-know the Top4 contestants deeper.

Looks like I'll only be able to catch the Grand Finale on the internet after I return from my trip! As like last year, haha, my friends will keep my up to date who wins SYTYCD via SMS! :-P

Who do you think will win SYTYCD2 this year? All top 4 are equally good in their own way.

Black: He caught my attention in the early stages when he actually jumped high up kicking one of his foot straight forward and then in midair - he did a half turn and the forward foot became a back kick! All these done in mid air in a split second. Watch here (minute 8:25). In the solo performances today, he's obviously the one to watch, emulating Michael Jackson's moves. The moonwalks etc are just so smooth!

Hong: Oh, this lyrical boyish dancer not only can dance, but act as well! I still remember the nerdy look when he dance to Greased Lightning few weeks back.  Gosh, this guy has real potential...

CC: Besides doing Latin dancing, I heard she also does line dancing too. So, I'm naturally biased for her and hoping that she will win! Haha... Anyhow, I think she's one girl worth watching for as I feel, she got the moves and style.

Sim: Obviously one of the best female dancers, she's the one and only contestant in the Top4 who has never been voted by the judges to the bottom 4s or 6s. A great contender.

I am also writing this because I actually like the Next Food Network Star and this week is the finale. I am totally rooting for Lisa! I know she is a bit snooty (that might have just ruined my chances for a celebrity comment) but Lisa if you're reading this, you know it's true but you can tell she is the only one on the show that can cook and perform. Adam is funny but I'm just not feelin' his cooking ability and the other one, I can't even remember his name because he's just kinda forgettable.

So go Lisa!!!

Cello is going pretty good.  It is hard and painful but I still love it.  I practiced saxophone the other day after about a month.  I did pretty good I guess.  I starting teaching piano to the kid that I babysit and I'm better at it then I thought I would be.  So that's good news.  It will be a little extra money if I ever need it. 

My computer is breaking.  Slowly but surely.  It won't always turn on.  But it's getting really old.  My dad said he was surprised to see that it was still working this good.  And now it's breaking.  Good news I may get my mom's old one.  It has a DVD drive so I can listen to music have my iTunes on that computer and play games and stuff.  But my computer has a touch screen so I will miss that a little bit.  My little sister might get this one.  We will have to see.

Dopo moltissimo tempo anche Inuyasha è arrivato al fine. Qui verrà riportato l'ultimo diagologo dei nostri amici...

Capitolo 558, "Ashita"
(tre anni più tardi, il passato)
Sango ha appena avuto il suo terzo bambino. Vediamo i piccoli dormire insieme a lei e a Miroku.
Tre giorni dopo che Naraku fu sconfitto, tre giorni dopo che il pozzo scomparve, Inuyasha ritornò avvolto da una colonna di luce.

Tutto quel che disse fu: "Kagome è salva".

Sango: "Credo che sia tornata in quel mondo... quello di cui parla Inuyasha... vero?"
Miroku: "Inuyasha non ne parla poi molto... ma ha detto che ci sono altre persone che amano Kagome-sama ed hanno bisogno di lei"
Sango: "Inuyasha... spero che non si senta solo"

Inuyasha osserva il cielo notturno.

(tre anni più tardi, il presente)

Per Kagome è il giorno della consegna del diploma di maturità.

"Tre giorni dopo che il pozzo nel futuro sparì, io e Inuyasha ritornammo attraverso una colonna di luce.
Ma poi Inuyasha scomparve.
Da allora, il pozzo non mi ha fatta passare neanche una volta."

(Inuyasha è tornato nel suo mondo nel momento in cui ha capito che Kagome era al sicuro, ma sembra che ogni tre giorni si sia recato a controllare il pozzo)

Epic ending is EPIC.

If you haven't heard of Avatar, let me enlighten you. Avatar is quite simply one of the best animated series in a long time. It's a testament to its greatness that though it was aimed at a children's audience, teenagers and adults watched it as well. It had something for everyone, from a large, vivid cast of well-developed characters to great animation to a sharp sense of comedy. The inspiration it gained from asian culture and the use of elements as weapons was an amazing concept. Through the entire series' run, it rarely faltered to deliver entertainment, and though its end was rushed and a bit sappy, it suitably tied up most of the loose ends left in the series. Even that which wasn't answered was completely blown away by the fantastic battles during the finale. In short, I'm sad to see it end, and I think it could have had at least one or two more episodes to flesh things out a bit, but it's an extremely satisfying ending to a great series.

Series Rating: 9/10

aww....is sie nich knuffig, klein,blind,sarkastisch...und hell no du willst sie nicht sauer machen sonst könnte es gut angehen das du mit stein und stahl gepiercet wirst...Toph beherrscht Erdbändigung auf höchstem Level, sogar Stahl kann sie bändigen.

"Act Three"

For two acts, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog was a musical comedy, but the conclusion of the second act seemed to indicate that things were about to take a turn towards the murderous. There was also a moment wherein Penny (Felicia Day) seemed to indicate that she knew something more than she should (As she recognized Bad Horse as "the thoroughbed of sin"). All of this was leading into a final conclusion that seems like it would prove quite good.

And it was good, but very tonally different than what we saw before it. As opposed to evolving into absurdity, it was instead, like many Whedon stories, a turn towards a dour and almost tragic final moment. It seemed impossible that Whedon could wrap up an entire story like this in forty minutes, resisting that type of serial character development he loves so much, and here is no exception: if the series dies in the here and now, this being its only moment to shine, I'm going to be extremely depressed more than anything else.

Which, when you think about it, is an odd point to leave on for a satirical musical comedy piece.

There's a lot more singing and acting in the final act, in fact it's closer to an Opera in a lot of ways. The opening number is a lot of fun, especially the introduction of the chorus of sorts (including former Buffy writing David Fury as a newscaster and a fantastic harmonizing trio of Hammer Groupies). It does a great job of combining the various threads, from Horrible plotting to kill Hammer to Penny's idealism. It's the kind of traveling group number that works, especially the little bits from the Groupies (My favourite was "We have a problem with her!")

And Nathan Fillion is the real star here, as he does an outright amazing job with both his own solo song and his eventual breakdown following feeling pain for the first time. His great opening cue card ("I hate the homeless...ness problem in this city"), combined with his obvious embarassment of Penny during his song. "Everyone's a Hero in Their Own Way" was also a charming number with some great self-indulgent moments that Fillion played so well all the way through. The character is just really compelling, and while he was there mostly for comic value when it's that consistent who needs depth?

But this story does belong to Neil Patrick Harris, and his post-freeze-ray number is a great one reminiscent of many threatening songs from musicals. Harris is perfect at really getting into these numbers, but then so easily slips into the great little line helping the reporter spell his name in between "Burn!"s. But his character's path is complicated: killing Hammer goes too far, but leaving him alive kills his entire purpose. So, Whedon has the tables turned, and neither Hammer nor Horrible dies.

But Penny, shockingly, does. I totally wasn't expecting this, especially after we seemed to get a sense that Penny knew who Bad Horse was in Act II. Killing Penny is just cold, damn cold - it sends Horrible into the Evil League of Evil (Complete with a Fake Jefferson and a Dead David Bowie) to wreak havoc on the entire city, but with a completely broken heart in the process. That final song, and especially the final shot, are just completely heartbreaking for me: I would go so far as to call it tragic, a villain who lost that he loved through his own actions and his to live with being famous for doing it.

It's not that the ending was bad: I loved the view into the Evil League of Evil (Especially Bad Horse, who just looks evil for a horse), and I really enjoyed Hammer (After feeling pain for the first time) heading into therapy. But it just seems like a really depressing final moment for this character, drafted into a live where he has to pretend not to feel. Compared to the earlier light-hearted nature of the story, this came out of left field for me - yes, Whedon is certainly not one to let his heroes off lightly, and this does fall into the category of introspection into the emotional struggles of supervillainy, but for a project with a title including the word "Sing-Along" it seems a bit more on the depressive side than I expected.

So, I'm really hoping that the success of this (In whatever form it is released, and in internet hype) will enable them to make more of the same nature - while it might not be enough of a concept to support an entire series, a few more short 39-minute segments like these would have plenty of material. I refuse to have Dr. Horrible travel off into the sunset on this emotional beat, it's just too much for my conscience to handle.

Sometime over the weekend, I might take a look at the project as a whole from more of a broader standpoint, but for anyone else watching: what did you think?
