Also kurze Schilderung meiner Erlebnisse bisher vom Fest.

Freitag Abend gings dann direkt hin - nachdem wir erstmal durch den Dauerregen von Freiburg hierher gefahren sind und schon Angst hatten, dass alles ins Wasser fällt. Tja, hier in Khe war nichts ;) Jessss - also daheim schnell gegessen und dann gings ab auf die Piste umd 1/2 7. (so spät war ich freitags noch nie losgegangen *lach*). Sind dann direkt pünktlich zu Revolverheld dort gewesen - und die Sonne kam raus. Wunderschön. Hab dann gleich wieder mic an meinen "Stammplatz" am Quetschzaun bugsiert und war genial, weil wir dann alles gesehen haben (ok mit meiner Körpergröße seh ich auch so immer alles, aber Ma. konnte dann auch alles sehen) und dann gings los ;) Noch nicht so voll - tolle Stimmung.

Dann wurde es nach Revolverheld natürlich voller vor den Sprotfreunden Stiller- wir am Quetschzaun aber keine probleme, man kann ja nicht weggedrückt werden. Das Problem waren jetzt aber aufkommende Aggressionen der Alkoholisierten und dieses ewige scheiß Poggo,w enn sie einem mit voller Wucht und ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste in den Rücken springen oder gegen die Achillessehne und so.... Naja, wegen dem Zaun vor uns gings ja noch zum Abstützen. Und, wasnoch besser war: davor standen Mädels, die gar net schlecht aussahen ,da durfte man dann immer schön auf den Rücken grapschen, wenn man sich hat abstützen müssen, damitman nicht umfällt und die haben sich auch noch gefreut, dass wir als menschl. Wand hinter ihnen alles abgehalten haben, was ging an schwachsinnigem Rumgepöbele. Die Sportfreunde an sich waren in Ordnung -lustige Lieder dabei, nur leider Bass viel zu laut und zu leier Gesang. Aber egal.

Was auch perfekt lief bisher wist das Sicherheitskonzept. V.a. beim Bereich vor dr Bühne. Nachdem es im letzten Jahr ja so mega daneben lief bei den Beatsteaks und so haben sie jetzt nur 3 schmale Einlassrampen und davor 3 Spalten mit Sperrband, wo man sich schon aufstellen muss und dann kann keiner Reindrüngen bzw die Masse kann nicht als Punlk nach vorne, weil nur 3 Gänge klein den Platz zum durchgehen ausmachen - super. Und dann noch ne Ampel, die, wenn sie Rot anzeigt, den Leuten signalisiert, dass kein EInlass mehr ist und sie gar net kommen brauchen. Zudem gut ist die Videoleinwand von SWR1 - dort zeigen sie Fluchtwege, Verhaltenswegeln und halt dann Live, was auf der Bühe ist- toll für die Leute hinten.

Ok, dann weiter im Konzept: Samstag.

Erst sind wir in City, hab Ma. das Schloss gezeigt und die Innenstadt, dann hat angefangen zu gießen wie aus Kübeln, Fran. wollte schon absagen, sie wollten wi ja treffen. Ich hab ihr geschrieben, wir gehen trotzdem und dann haben wir uns Schillerstraße getroffen und sind hingefahren. Und dort dan nweiterhin Regen. Also erstmal Langos gegessen und Cola besorgt und dann als es mal aufgehört hatte - wieder mal rechtzeitig zum ersten Act - KT Tunstall - waren wir am Quetschzaun. KT war in Oordnung, bissle blöd halt im trüben Wetter und die Leute, die sich haben verjagen lassen davon. Aber sonst cool wie immer ;) Dann kamen Fettest Brot - und die Masse gleich mit dazu. Hammer. Da wurde es wieder so richtig voll und wieder paar Idioten um uns rum, die sich vordrängel nwollten an Quetschzaun und so. Der eine hatte eine Reichsflagge samt Hakenkreuz aufm Handy - total bekloppt. Da gabs dann auch fast ne Schlägerei zwischen denen und einem Freund, der den Platz seiner Freundin am Quetschzun zurückhaben wollte. Irgendwann sind die dann aber zum Glück wieder abgezogen und schon wurde es supi, weil die Leute dann am Sa (also gestern Abend) alle net so krass mit Pogo und so drauf waren wie am Fr (und die Musik dazu ja gar net gepasst hat). Fettest Brot haben dann richtig Stimmung gemacht -war auch genialer Auftritt und richtig richtig gut. V.a. die Sicht auf den Mount Klotz dann von unten und das gegenseitige Aufbrüllen Tal gegen Berg und Laola ;)

Nach Fettes Brot kamen dann - total verwunderlich - noch eine Band ( um 1/2 12, das gabs noch nie!): Who made who aus Kopenhagen. Total krank, mussten sogar selber stimmen und aufbauen - lustig. Die Leute natürlich großteil schon nach fettes Brot gegangen gewesen *lach* Und dann kamen die - der Schlagzeuger in Unterhose - iiiigit. Haben komische elektronische Musik gespielt - wir sind dann auch gegangen nach dem zweiten um kurz vor 0 uhr, war net so toll.

Dann via Bhf und McDoof - obligatorisch natürlich bei ZWischenhalt am Bhf - heim und um 1/2 2 daheim gewesen. Da fing grad Scary Movie an - also haben wir uns das noch bis um 4 reingezogen und dann gepennt bis um 10 - ich bin hundemüde *lach*

Heute Abend dann nochmal ne Runde - aber da kenn ich die beiden Bands nicht, mals ehen, wie das wird.

Mojn dann back nach Fr - Radschlauch wechseln mal wieder.

De grote moeilijkheid tijdens zo'n evenement is steeds om storende elementen in je beelden te vermijden. De achtergrond staat bezaaid met verkeersborden, lantaarnpalen, reclamepanelen, e.d.  Je een weg banen tussen de mensenmassa's is eveneens een uitdaging. Vandaar dat ik me bij de living statues beperkte tot close-ups.

El viaje a Madrid fue mejor de lo que esperaba, a pesar de que no vinieran las hermanas Rodríguez el viaje superó mis expectativas. Tras 8 horas de autobús en las que apenas pude pegar ojo, una hora de espera en la puerta del sol buscando el lugar desde el cual Ramón García presentaba las campanadas, una ducha y un metro llegamos al palacio de deportes con la prisa habitual para llegar temprano a guardar cola, en la cual acabamos de los primeros gracias a la no pequeña cara de uno de mis amigos. Allí quedé con Helena, una chica que conocía del viaje a Londres del verano pasado, la cual me presentó a alguna amiga suya.

De la cola recuerdo calor, calor y calor; tuve hasta que comprar un paraguas a un moro que aprovechó el momento para ello porque no aguantaba, es que yo para estas cosas… También recuerdo que me comí un kebab (y lo bueno que estaba, ñam)

Después de unas horas al sol abrieron las puertas. El festival duró 8 horas, estuve en primera fila, un poco lateral por lo que no hubo demasiados empujones, cosa que agradezco. Acabamos cansados del anuncio de cocacola que lo repetían numerosas veces en las pantallas. Y nada esperando grupo tras grupo sin demasiada ilusión hasta que apareció Panic at the disco, y a partir de ahí el concierto genial.

Esa noche pensabamos salir pero al final la gente estaba agotada, acabamos en una plaza sobre las 3 y pico de la mañana comiendonos hamburguesas y pizzas de un 24 horas, y luego volvimos al albergue.

Al día siguiente quedamos con Helena y mas tarde se presentó Leti, estuvimos de compras y dando una vuelta por Madrid.

Tras esto llegó la hora de irnos, pensamos en quedarnos mas días pero no ibamos preparados. Nos acompañaron a la estación donde yo tuve un par de percances: mi cartera mangada y mi billete aparentemente perdido. Cuando ya se habían montado todos en el autobús y me había hecho a la idea de quedarme una noche mas y salir de fiesta –siempre hay que ser positivo- apareció un amigo corriendo que habían encontrado mi billete. Si, así de surrealista como lo cuento.

En conclusión fue un viaje cargado de sorpresas, donde conocí y me reencontré con gente maravillosa –que por cierto espero que vengan a visitarnos en agosto-, con tensión hasta el último momento. Me hubiese gustado quedarme mas días pero así son las cosas…

A presença do uruguaio Jorge Drexler é a principal atração da programação do 3º Festival de Inverno de Porto Alegre. Inserida no calendário da capital gaúcha, as atividades oferecem várias possibilidades de o público escolher entre música e literatura, por exemplo. Entre os músicos, cantores, instrumentistas e grupos convidados, o destaque fica por conta de Drexler. Dono de uma estátueta do Oscar de melhor canção com "Al otro lado del río" do filme Diários de uma motocicleta, cuja trilha foi composta pelo platino Gustavo Santaolalla, o cantor e compositor chega com novo disco às costas. Em Cara B é mais ousado, embora continue se valendo quase de um minimalismo para expressar seu talento. Ruídos e sons diversos captados de qualquer lugar, do mais inesperados aos mais simples, se introduzem às harmonias criadas ou que recebem arranjos do autor. Assim, é possível conhecer o que faz em milongas de Alfredo Zitarrosa ou acompanhado por Arnaldo Antunes. A diversidade com que transita é uma das suas características. Parceiro musical e amigo do gaúcho de Pelotas, Vitor Ramil, seu convidado nas apresentações porto-alegrenses de domingo e segunda-feira, Jorge Drexle, contudo, não se considera um grande cantor. Em entrevista publicada pelo jornal Zero Hora de sábado em seu Segundo Caderno, ele confessa: "Minha voz é pequena, mas não necessariamente má." No repertório que apresentará às platéias, canções de Cara B e de outros discos como  Sea, Eco, 12 segundos de obscuridad e outras novidades. Show de qualidade, sem dúvida.

We stumbled on a festival at night near our school in Shinjuku, and then on a different day wandered into a bar in Shibuya and found some classmates. Good times, plenty of drinking. I am surprised i navigated two trains and made it home later that night... ;)

This picture was for a frozen yogurt place in Shibuya... or is it... ?

I was trying to make a point about something... From the intense look on my face and the hand gestures i can only assume it was well argued.

Oh, so all these crazy looking pictures (See below) I had given everyone scenes to act out before hand... In this one Michelle is knitting, I think Evan... just... one something.. ? and Kevin... well Kevin just killed a man...

• slept in a little
• went out to Summerset for lunch with Mom, Dad, my bro-Todd, D and the two little ones
• Autumn and Cynthia were at Hills Alive all day with friends -- just like me when I was their age (I'm so proud)
• Myself, D, Amy, and Todd went to the 2:30 PM showing of "The Dark Knight" -- 2 thumbs way up!  Absolutely loved it!  Would have to say that it might very well be the best superhero movie ever.

  

  On a side note, the Knollwood theater was heck-a hot!  It was so warm that Deanna was feeling ill after the movie -- almost like the A/C wasn't working.

• Hills Alive this evening was a blast!  I got to watch Superchik from side-stage with my backstage pass, hung out with Sean Dunn, Angel Dean (see pic), and a few guys from TobyMac's band while they were warming up, and got to play on the main stage for a few minutes while Sean Dunn was sharing the Gospel.  Coolness!

  

• TobyMac's show was absolutely fab, as always.  I've been a big fan since his early DC Talk days.  Lots of worshipful moments tonight.  Thanks you KSLT, KLMP, and the Point for hosting such an amazing event.  I think I'm probably in ministry and still serving God because my parents took me to similar events like this when I was growing up.  I'm SO THANKFUL that now my kids get to reap the same benefits.

This year's Tokyo International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival (TILGFF) is doing something different by expanding to encompass two locales over a total of eight days (July 11-13 and 17-21).

"While the festival's second half will continue to make its home in the artsy venue of Spiral Hall in Tokyo's fashionable Aoyama district, this past weekend's films screened for the first time in festival history at the deluxe Wald 9 Cinemas in Shinjuku, adjacent to Tokyo's famed gay neighborhood of Ni-chome."

A week past, I cannot solve my very personal enigma about this show.
I love Death Cab For Cutie, it was my first time I saw them live, I love Koko and I can’t complain about a setlist that spanned their entire career.
However this concert never took off to land on my emotions, I am here striving to come out with a convincing explanation.

Before going into the gig review, let me show you my view on Death Cab amazing growth using a parallel perspective borrowed from another American band.
If you pay no attention to the music for a while, it is possible to see a close comparison between Death Cab for Cutie and R.E.M.

I discovered DCFC remarkable first albums retrospectively. Transatlanticism, their fourth, got me into this band.
In a similar manner, several years before, I stumbled upon R.E.M. when Document was released. I think it was their fifth, and I got to know their earlier LPs looking back in time.

Transatlanticism is my favourite Death Cab album. With a new drummer and an improved contribution of the full band to Gibbard songwriting, I see a genuine move towards a sense of group which was missing in the beginning. They don't sound anymore as a Ben Gibbard “solo project” with support musicians.
Songs after songs Transatlanticism discloses an enviable maturity. On top of that I love the way they insist on a tenacious indie attitude. Up to this CD all DCFC releases were published by the small Seattle label Barsuk.

On a fantasy journey back in time that crosses United States from North-West to South-East, we arrive in Atlanta when R.E.M. are recording their “indie” masterpiece: Document.
Not accidentally it is their last LP with I.R.S. before being signed by a major: Warner.

Transatlanticism was strongly received, the rumours about a band curiously named Death Cab for Cutie spread beyond colleges much quicker than radio airings and, as happened to R.E.M., they were quickly signed to a major: Atlantic.

Atlantic marketing machine immediately worked at full steam. Plans, their first album with them, climbed the USA album chart up to an impressive top five.
Plans is (almost) as good as Transatlanticism but the latter didn't do better than a Billboard #97, the power of a label.

Sing-along as Soul Meets Body and an intimate ballad as I Will Follow You Into The Dark are instant classics.
The richer production is clearly listenable but the band “indie-ness” is still there as well as, most important, the strength of their songwriting. They haven't been overpowered by a big cheque. Good news.

Carrying on my comparison, Plans is for DCFC what Green was for R.E.M. So true that, likewise, Green got a major production turning towards a radio-friendly pop sound. It scored #12 on Billboard.

You see where I am going.
Last May, Death Cab for Cutie new album, Narrow Stairs, went straight to Billboard number one on the week of its release.
In the same way the second R.E.M. album for Warner, Out of Time, was a Billboard number one.

Both projects have been launched to the top by the heritage of their brilliant precursors and, most important, with the help of a perfect single.
Losing My Religion for Stipe and Buck; I Will Possess Your Heart for Gibbard and Walla.

Past I Will Possess Your Heart, Narrow Stairs, is not as good as its precursor.
The album suffers, as Out of Time, of too much comfort.
Security and wellbeing don’t work on alternative rock bands. I mean musically, I am sure the guys are quite happy to cash big bucks.

I don’t despair, though. Relying on my theory which seems pretentious enough to add a chapter to Plutarch’s Parallel Lives, two thousands years late, considering the consequent R.E.M. effort was the stripped down, Automatic For The People, their Warner-era and last masterpiece...erm...no pressure, guys!

Back to the concert and thanks to thelineofbestfit.com (a music website named after one of DCFC early songs) I got into Koko’s night.

i-tunes is sponsoring this London festival for the second time.
More than a sponsor it is a marketing operation. Any concert is recorded and sold through the Apple digital store.
More than a festival it is a competition. No tickets on sale, to get in people must register and win an online lottery.

I wonder if this is one of the reasons of the adverse night.
It’s not totally accurate to blame the audience for a poor concert, but having in front of you half of the people chatting, photographing, messaging, videoing and queuing at the bar while you play your best songs it is not the motivational environment of your dreams, even for the most confident artist on earth.

It was disappointing to see how a cosy show that you’d want to be experienced by the fans was, in the end, attended by internet surfers who tried to win any of the 31 gigs and finish up to gain entry to the only one they were not interested.

That’s the only answer I have to explain why even a gem as Transatlanticism closing the night is not welcome any different from some colourless tunes.

Ben Gibbard contact lenses (?) make some people murmur it’s not him on stage. I was close enough to recognise he was indeed there; the problem was his voice, flat and lost somewhere.

Chris Walla on the contrary is the mind behind the project. Not surprisingly he is at the production of the band albums.
His guitar makes the difference, the balance of arpeggios and feedback acts as a switch, turning on and off the songs. The long instrumental intro on I Will Possess Your Heart is destined to be a live classic where they can enjoy endless improvisations.

Tonight the rhythm section is all on bassist hands. Nick Harmer’s four strings are energetic and bouncing and he has a fruitful interaction with Walla.
On the other hand the march-like drumming kindly offered by Jason McGerr, often appears cyclic and redundant.

Certainly Death Cab for Cutie strength is in the sophisticate songs. They have some of the best tunes of the decade; you can cherry pick any of their albums and find some clever writing.
What they missed tonight was the capacity to transfer that magic on stage.

Like bringing a beautiful car to an exhibition not paying attention to polish it. You perceive there is some fantastic music to listen to, but it isn’t as shiny as it can be.

A missed occasion, so unexpected that instead of leaving me disappointed, left me in need of more. I will definitely give DCFC live a second chance, hopefully when they’ll be touring their Automatic For The People. Definitely I will book a proper gig to see them together with their proper fans.

Photo tip

It was a difficult one and it wasn’t easy to guess. Until the band began, curtains were hiding the stage. Being my first DCFC show I didn’t have a clue how they stand on stage.

My error becomes a suggestion.
Before going to photograph a gig always google for images of the band you are shooting. You learn a lot in terms of bands layout: their arrangement on stage, the number of members, the instruments likely to be used. Pay a particular attention to the position on stage (front or back), the use of monitors and whether the singer is hidden behind the microphone pole.

When the curtains disclosed the Koko stage, it was disappointing to see how far they stood one from each other and everyone from the front.
Gibbard on the extreme left, Walla on the right behind a keyboards and the bass/drum pair central but well on the back.
Koko’s stage isn’t huge, but it was impossible to get a band frame which doesn’t look dispersive. I opted for some close ups using my 135mm lens but lights weren’t strong enough.

If you are going to photograph Death Cab for Cutie, be ready for a demanding one!

Etter at jeg kom hjem fikk jeg en skikkelig rørende melding på Gaysir med mye ros. Utdrag:

Jeg var på Jafnadhr i år og vil si at det foredraget som du holdt om trans var det mest geniale jeg opplevde under denne festivalen. Måten du vinklet ting på var så skjønnt at jeg ikke en gang har ord for det.

Jeg håper du blir invitert neste år igjen slik at jeg igjen kan le samtidig som jeg blir dynget fullt av viktig informasjon. Hadde bare lærerene i Norge undervist på den måten du holdt foredraget ditt på så hadde ikke skolen i Norge hatt noen problemmer med uduglige lærere.

Blir helt rørt av sånt, jeg. Utrolig godt å få høre at ting man gjør og sier faktisk betyr noe og gjør inntrykk. Også dikta mine gjorde inntrykk på flere av deltakerne og det virka som et unisont krav at barneboka om "Pappa Pernille" må utgis snart. I likhet med engelen som skrev til meg på Gaysir, håper jeg å få komme tilbake til Jafnadr neste år.

Dessuten håper jeg å få komme på noen skolebesøk i løpet av året. Da er det godt å ha ovenstående attest fra en 17-åring i ryggen hvis motet skulle svikte.

I fjor var min siste sjanse til å være med som deltaker, og noe av grunnen til at jeg ikke dro, var at jeg ikke hadde lyst til å føle meg som en gammel gris blant pubertale og nyutsprungne homser og lesber.

Det kan være at jeg hadde syntes det var et problem hvis jeg hadde blitt værende lenger, men heldigvis dro jeg hjem på torsdag for å overvære konserten med Patti Smith (som forøvrig var helt fantastisk!). De tre dagene jeg fikk med meg var strålende! Jeg følte meg ikke så mye eldre enn de fleste og møtte massevis av interessante mennesker. Dessuten var Punkfairy der, min virituelle lillebror, og det hjalp nok mye.

Achei muito interessante assistir filmes em uma sala de cinema online.

 After the Procession, and the Service (both in which the Rushbearing hymm is sung) there are sport races for the children, and packed tea or BBQ (although no BBQ this year). This is when "Grasmere Gingerbread" is given out.
It's always been abit of a disapointment for me, the "Grasmere Gingerbread", because it's never the real stuff, I mean, it's not Sarah Nelson Grasmere Gingerbread. Ahhh well.
Today I saw the people from the Gingerbread Shop watching the procession. Made me Smile. :)

All in all, I really enjoyed today, and I was very glad that it managed to stay dry for the best part of the day. It is one of my favourite festivals that are held in Grasmere, and feel very special to be able to say, ive always grown up with it....even if i do moan sometimes about having to go :P

One last thing that I love about the Rushbearing is the tradtional Rushbearing hymm that we sing I find myself singing the tune all year, although this morning I couldn't for the life of me remember it! Here is the first verse:
"Today we come from farm & fell
Wild flowers and rushes green we twine,
We sing the hymm we love so well,
And worship at Saint Oswald's shrine."

Just love that hymm. xD
If you ever get the chance to go to the Rushbearing- do so. It's something you will never forget.

Si estás en Cádiz, acabas de llegar de la playa de la Victoria y no tienes plan para esta noche, tal vez te convenga saber que a partir de las 22:00 horas se celebra en el Baluarte de la Candelaria el XII Festival Internacional la isla del Blues. En este festival participarán Tito & Tarántula (sí, los de Tarantino), Kool y la Lance López Band

Abrirán la velada los gaditanos Kool, banda que se formó a finales de 2005 cuando Verónica Díaz (voz) y Jose Simonet (guitarra) decidieron llevar a cabo un proyecto conjunto tras años de carreras musicales paralelas. Así, contactaron con Miguel Rodríguez (bajo) y Manuel Pantoja (batería) para completar una formación en la cual la solidez rítmica y la delicadeza armónica confluyeran para crear un estilo de rock en español original y moderno.

A Kool les sucederán Tito & Tarántula llegados desde Los Ángeles. El alma del grupo es el cantante y guitarrista Tito Larriva, conocido anteriormente como fundador de la banda punk The Plugz y por algunos pequeños papeles en películas como "Repo Man". El éxito que disfrutaron de mediados a finales de los 90 se debió en parte al director Robert Rodríguez, que usó su música para las películas "Desperado" (1995) y "Abierto Hasta el Amanecer" (1996). Ya en 1997 apareció su álbum de debut, "Tarantism". Su directo ha sido calificado como algo que no hay que perderse.

Cerrarán el festival Lance Lopez Band, una banda cuyo líder hace las veces de guitarrista, productor, letrista y multi-instrumentista. Lance Lopez comenzó en el mundo de la música a la temprana edad de 8 años y con 17, fue contratado por el cantante de soul Johnnie Taylor. Desde entonces no ha parado de cosechar éxitos, premios y reconocimientos en el mundo de la música. Durante una etapa de su vida, estuvo probando suerte con varios grupos y actuando como telonero para las grandes leyendas B.B. King, Steve Vai y Jeff Beck, sin dejar de publicar discos y lograr un gran prestigio musical. Su último reconocimiento ha sido el de no estar lejos del status de legendario.

No estamos ante un festival que destaque por un precio atractivo (20 euros) pero la calidad musical del cartel bien merece el esfuerzo.

La sugerente Playa de Guardias Viejas del Ejido, en Almería, será el escenario del mayor festival de música electrónica y de baile que se celebrará este verano en Andalucía. Se trata del Creamfields-Andalucía, que comenzará el día 9 de agosto y que traerá a artistas como The Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Sebastian o Carl Craig.
En total, más de cuarenta artistas que harán saltar y bailar a cientos de personas en un emplazamiento inmejorable: Una de las playas más atractivas del litoral andaluz. Desde la innovadora química musical de Rowland y Simons hasta la electrónica gótica de los australianos Midnight Juggernauts, el festival promete volver a ser una de las citas imprescindibles para los amantes de este tipo de sonidos.
El abono básico para todos los días es de 70 euros e incluye el acceso a la zona de acampada, equipada con duchas, bares, restaurantes, supermercados y tomas de corriente para los móviles.

Per la prima volta a Pedaso, CortoperScelta (che quest’anno giunge alla sua 6° edizione) proporrà al pubblico gustose anticipazioni di ciò che offrirà tra poche settimane, quando nel mese di agosto il festival si sposterà nei centri di Cupra Marittima, Ripatransone, Massignano e Montefiore dell’Aso. Tra i corti in programma: “Il lavoro” di Lorenzo De Nicola (grottesco apologo sul precariato dei giovani e sulla febbrile ricerca del lavoro), “Vietato fermarsi” di Pierluigi Ferrandini (un surreale viaggio nel tempo, per scoprire l’imprevedibile mutazione della società e delle ideologie), “Porta a porta” di Andrea Ricca (esilarante parodia di una delle più seguite trasmissioni televisive del nostro tempo).

Ma non mancherà una carrellata attraverso il meglio delle passate cinque edizioni del festival. Alcuni titoli: “Il supplente” di Andrea Jublin (tra i corti di maggior successo dell’edizione 2007, giunto allo straordinario risultato della candidatura agli Oscar), “Uova” di Alessandro Celli (Premio David di Donatello 2007), la storia di passione tragica “Quien es Pilar?” di Christian Carmosino e Andrea Appetito, per finire con “Autopia Zen 41600”, trattato sull’uso e l’abuso delle automobili realizzato da Daniele Carrer e Giorgio Conti.

Anche quest’anno, CortoperScelta avrà tre sezioni competitive: CortoItalia (aperta a tutti gli autori di cittadinanza italiana), CortoMarche (per i corti girati nella regione Marche e/o realizzati da autori marchigiani), CortoScuola (aperta ai corti realizzati da tutte le Scuole italiane di ogni ordine e grado). La Giuria assegnerà Primo e Secondo Premio per CortoItalia e CortoMarche, e un Primo Premio per CortoScuola. Ma oltre al concorso, il festival proporrà importanti sezioni collaterali, retrospettive dedicate a registi italiani e stranieri, finestre tematiche, omaggi e focus incentrati sulle più urgenti problematiche politico-sociali. La madrileña Boca del Lobo ha abierto el plazo para la presentación de cortometrajes para una edición más de un festival que ya se está convirtiendo en un clásico del cine comprimido.

Hay 12,000 euros en premios y pueden participar todos los cortometrajes que hayan sido terminados a partir del primero de enero de 2007 en cualquier formato de grabación y que no excedan los 25 minutos de duración, incluidos los créditos. Los realizadores tienen hasta el 10 de septiembre para entregar sus trabajos.

Este festival itinerante ya está circulando por el mundo con las obras presentadas en la edición pasada.

CONDICIONES GENERALES

• El Festival está abierto a realizadores de todo el mundo.
• Los trabajos podrán estar realizados en cualquier sistema de rodaje.
• Los cortometrajes presentados deberán haber terminado su producción con posterioridad al 1 de Enero de 2007.
• La duración máxima no excederá de los 25 minutos, incluidos los créditos.
• Es IMPRESCINDIBLE que los cortometrajes cuya versión original no esté en castellano, se presenten subtitulados a dicho idioma. Y aquellos que estén en castellano, agradeceríamos el subtitulado al inglés.
• La selección correrá a cargo de un comité de la organización siendo publicado el resultado en nuestra página Web el 30 de Septiembre.
• Los cortometrajes seleccionados para participar en el festival podrán ser proyectados dentro de cualquiera de sus secciones (a concurso o paralelas).
• La organización podrá utilizar fragmentos de las obras seleccionadas (máximo 1 minuto) para promoción de las mismas y del festival.
• Todas las proyecciones se realizarán en formato DVD.
• El Jurado Oficial, compuesto por profesionales del medio cinematográfico, la cultura y la comunicación será el encargado de otorgar los premios. Siendo su decisión inapelable.

PREMIOS

Los cortometrajes participantes en la sección a concurso optaran a los siguientes premios dependiendo de sus características:

• Mejor Cortometraje Nacional: 3000 €
• Mejor Guión Nacional: 1500 €
• Mejor Cortometraje de Animación Nacional: 1500 €
• Mejor Cortometraje Extranjero: 1500 €
• Mejor Cortometraje Extranjero de Animación: 1000 €
• Mejor Corto Erótico: 1500 €*
• Mejor Cortito (máximo 5 m.): 1000 €*
• Mejor Banda Sonora Original: 1000 €*

* Optarán a este premio todos los cortometrajes independientemente de su lugar de producción.

En todos los premios se descontarán los impuestos correspondientes.
